Dispatch Coffee

Permanently Closed

"Dispatch Coffee, Mile Ex by Dynamo. From cold brew on tap to avocado toast, life would not be the same without Dispatch. Remote workers and local students frequent these artisanal roasters and cafe religiously. The minimal, industrial decor is the antithesis of the coffee multi-national chains in town. Make sure to catch some rays on their inviting patio. Leaving Mile-Ex? No problem. You'll likely spot their Dispatch truck or their coffee beans sold all over town."

This sun-filled space at the Jean Talon market is designed to encourage discussion between knowledgeable staff and caffeine-curious customers. Each bag and cup have a unique origin story and taste profile. The Café also bottles their own sodas, including a "spruce" flavour. Fresh pastries and savory treats also are served daily."

The menu changes daily, and you're always in for a treat (their burritos and smoothies are a team favourite!)"

820Plaza

Permanently Closed

"820 Plaza, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Hidden inside an old auto body garage, 820 Plaza is a sparse industrial multi-purpose venue. A DJ console sits on a giant concrete slab at the far end of the space, while hand-picked records are carefully placed throughout. A selection of eye-catching art magazines and independent publications are placed on smaller concrete blocks. Past events here include a live show from Bataille Solaire, Temple Records launches and an Unsafe At Any Speed group exhibition."

Bar Alexandraplatz

Permanently Closed

"Bar Alexandraplatz, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a beer or cocktail on a sunny day? Head over to 'Platz where you’ll find a mix of young studio folk, local artists and other outdoor drinking enthusiasts. This beer garden, reminiscent of Berlin’s minimalist and trendy beer scene is only open during the warmer months. Located in the Vieux Montreal brewery, Alexandraplatz opens its oversized garage doors in the late afternoon and it starts to buzz around the 5—7 happy hour. A few weekends each month, food trucks and artisans take over the street. Summer in Montreal would not be the same without 'Platz!"

Fortune

Permanently Closed

"Fortune, Mile Ex by Dynamo. The great white north isn't really known for tacos, fortunately places like this Saint-Laurent staple are turning that trend around. Dishing out a small variety of tacos along with shrimp and grits and their take on the Quebec-staple guédilles, like a hot dog with non-traditional ingredients."

Moustache Café

Coffee shop · District de Saint-Édouard

"Moustache, Mile Ex by Dynamo. From a large smoothie and veggie-heavy sandwich selection to meticulous latté art and wi-fi-licious atmosphere for the neighbourhood's growing remote workforce - Moustache provides a much-needed fortress of repose. If our internet ever blacks out, this is our designated backup HQ."

Jean Talon Market

Farmers' market · District de Saint-Édouard

"Jean Talon Market, Mile Ex by Dynamo. A true cornucopia of the freshest produce Quebec has to offer. Regional favourites include strawberries from Iles-des-Orleans and Quebec's finest blueberries in the summer. Jean Talon has vendors galore: from carnitas tacos, a shop dedicated to raw milk cheese, fresh oysters on the half-shell, to polish sausage sandwiches - take in an essential Montreal experience."

Le Ballpark

Permanently Closed

"Le Ballpark, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Montreal has quite a few punny business names, but few actually transcend the pun. To justify its name, many of the menu items here come in ball form: lamb meatballs, fried pickles, smoked meat meatballs, fried shrimp balls to name a few. Fear not, each plate is decorated with vegetables and salads that elevate the menu beyond the ball puns."

Emporium Barbershop

Barber shop · District de Saint-Édouard

"Emporium Barber Shop, Mile Ex by Dynamo. We’re very picky when it comes to hair, luckily, one of the best barber shops in town is a few steps away from the office. Whether you're in need of a full haircut and a shave or just a trim - the atmosphere here is always inviting. Need a moustache comb or beard oil? Emporium has you covered! Book an appointment online and feel like a real gentleman."

Marché G Lalime

Supermarket · District de Saint-Édouard

"Marché Lalime, Mile Ex by Dynamo. A no-fuss lunch spot for locals who appreciate house-made smoked meats and pulled pork. The fridges are stocked with remarkable Quebec microbrews. Our office parties wouldn't be the same without Lalime in close proximity."

La Cornetteria

Pastry shop · District de Saint-Édouard

"La Cornetteria, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Remember the epic lines for New York City's trendy cronuts. Unlike the New York City version, La Cornetteria's take on the cronut(a deep-fried croissant-doughnut dessert) require no waiting in line. They also bake a variety of Italian pastries like bomboloni and panforte that can satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth."

LA FIN DU VINYLE/DEATH OF VINYL

Vices & Versa

Restaurant · District de Saint-Édouard

"Vices Et Versa, Mile Ex by Dynamo. The 35 Quebec Microbrew draft lines can't be wrong. Sifting through the tightly-worded chalkboard draft list will make even the seasoned beer geek drool. The fridge is stocked with rare bottles, like Jester King's Le Petit Prince all the way from Austin, Texas. The gourmet poutines and daily specials from the kitchen will seal the deal."

Dinette Triple Crown

Permanently Closed

"Dinette Triple Crown, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Authentic Southern BBQ lives north of the border. Fried Chicken and Brisket with homemade sauces are the best in town. Triple Crown even packs a picnic basket, allowing their patrons to eat at the park across the street. In the colder months, you can get their meats and sides delivered right to your door."

6631 Jeanne Mance St

District de Saint-Édouard

"Spoum, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Adjacent to Le Mile-Ex Resto is a tiny hole in the wall ice cream purveyor. You will easily spot their colourful neon sprinkles interior and a sandwich board listing adventurous flavours like Red Bull, Rose, Brioche and Vanilla. They even have ice cream for your dog."

Restaurant Mile-Ex

Permanently Closed

"Le Mile-Ex, Mile Ex by Dynamo. Hidden away from the main drag, this neighborhood namesake specializes in creative takes on street food, with dishes like Gravlax staff salad, Crab Rolls, and Mofo Burgers. All with an impressive wine list and cocktails to help you wash it all down as you watch the chefs slinging dishes from the open kitchen."

Brasserie Harricana

Brewery · Parc-Jarry

"Brasserie Harricana, Mile Ex by Dynamo. The first "flux capacitor" beer draft line system in Canada is housed in this grand brewpub serving dozens of Quebec microbrews and ciders on tap. Harricana wows with it's modern interior design and the excellent food offerings. The kitchen offers lake walleye, grass fed steak, and oysters, going beyond the usual pub grub. In the summer - have a drink on their bleacher-terrace."

Olive et Gourmando

Cafe · Vieux Montréal

"Olive & Gourmando, Old Montréal West. An Old Montreal foodie destination for many years, Olive et Gourmando is famous for sandwiches made on artisanal bread, delicious salads, daily soups, and a pastry counter featuring many types of brioches, croissants and muffin bars. Although it’s likely you’ll find yourself waiting for a table, the warm decor and fresh food make it a welcome pause on a cold day, and definitely worth the wait."

Espace Pepin

Clothing store · Vieux Montréal

"Espace Pépin, Old Montréal West. Artist Lysanne Pépin was originally using the space at the corner of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul as a combined studio and living space. When she began hanging her art by the window, passersby thought it to be a gallery, and came in inquiring about her pieces. Eventually, she also began displaying clothes, and Espace Pépin was born. Though the boutique does feature clothing made by local designers, the bulk of the collection comes from Europe, and features on-trend shoes, coats and even activewear. Pépin eventually turned her hand to home decor, and now runs a second space dedicated to that craft just down the street from her original boutique, complete with snack and coffee bar."

Centre PHI

Art center · Vieux Montréal

"Phi Center, Old Montréal West. Contemporary art installations, musical performances and movie screenings: the PHI Center is quickly defining itself as a cultural hub in Montreal. Inside the (free entry) center, you’ll also find the pop-up-boutique-turned-permanent-gift-shop-of-sorts Le Rhinocéros. Named after a rhinoceros head that was once featured in a Dennis Villeneuve short film, and now hanging prominently inside the store, Le Rhinocéros only features clothing and accessories made by local designers, and you’ll be sure to find some one-of-a-kind pieces there."

Café Balance

Cafe · Vieux Montréal

"Flyjin Café, Old Montréal West. Named after the term used by the Japanese to describe expats fleeing their country at the onset of World War II, Flyjin is a tucked away coffee shop offering a warm yet eclectic atmosphere. Having taken over the historic Café Vieux-Port, one of the first coffee shops in the city, Flyjin replaced its predecessor’s diner-dive vibe with one-of-a-kind stools, nearly-monochrome colours, and faceless decals adorning the walls. On a given weekday, you’ll find office workers sipping on coffee brewed from locally-roasted Kittel beans, and enjoying quick and welcome break from their busy schedules."

Café Titanic

Cafe · Vieux Montréal

"Titanic, Old Montréal West. Owners Patrick and Rob have been at the helm of Café Titanic for 30 years. Considered an institution in Old Montreal, the cafe is nestled in the basement of a heritage building, and grew from a 10-seat bar (the small size of which gave the café its ironic name) to an ever growing network of rooms and nooks. All the food is homemade, down to the bouillon from which the soup is freshly made every day, and very vegetarian-friendly. Look out for a decorative cash register dating back to 1950 (and belonging to Titanic’s predecessor Cafe Sandy) that can only charge a maximum price of $2.97. Or the owners’ office door, unearthed from a separate part of the heritage building in which Café Titanic is located, and which previously belonged to a company that once sold return tickets for the Titanic (though as history tells us, they were never used). Or a dry room that was once a safe, and now holds the world’s most carefully kept sugar. Overall, a must-see in Old Montreal."

Fondation PHI pour l’art contemporain

Art gallery · Vieux Montréal

"DHC / ART, Old Montréal West. The DHC/ART Foundation for Contemporary Art is a free, non-profit art center founded in Old Montreal in 2007. Occupying several floors over two adjacent buildings, DHC/ART features poignant pieces by international artists. The center typically mounts 3-4 exhibits a year, featuring interactive art, audio, and video pieces."

Ateliers & Saveurs - Vieux-Montréal

Cooking class · Vieux Montréal

"Ateliers & Saveurs, Old Montréal West. Ateliers & Saveurs is the first cooking school in North America open for lunch: for just $22, you’ll spend half an hour cooking your food, half and hour eating it, and be back at the office just on time. The atelier also features more than just cooking classes, which range from Thai to Indian to pastry making: look out for the cocktail and wine tasting courses on offer, as well as a one-of-a-kind tapas class. Beautiful sconces and chandeliers made of kitchen utensils adorn the walls, and the space also offers a collection of gourmet syrups, mustards, oils and special kitchen gadgets for sale."

Fiorellino (Centre-Ville)

Italian restaurant · Downtown Montreal

"Fiorellino, Old Montréal West. The owners of Friorellino love pizza, so much so that they started with a wood-burning oven, and built an entire restaurant around it. In addition to serving dinner every night of the week, Fiorellino offers a weekday breakfast featuring its homemade bread, pastries and desserts. You’ll also find shelves stocking products imported directly from Italy, from sodas, to pastas and canned tomatoes. Drop by Fiorellino for a Sopprassata Piccanta pizza, then make your way to the Shopify office next door and say hi to the team!"

Tommy Café (Rue Notre-Dame Ouest)

Coffee shop · Vieux Montréal

"Tommy Cafe, Old Montréal West. A well-preserved heritage building transformed into an inviting café, Tommy’s owners aimed to create a friendly destination for the neighbourhood’s locals. From the original crown mouldings, to the mismatched mid-century modern furniture and eclectic decor (like a minimalist fixie surrounded by volumes of National Geographic, or a 5-pound gummy bear sitting amongst other oddities on a shelf), Tommy offers one of the most unique vibes in Old Montreal. The cafe serves daily breakfast, appéro from 4-8pm, weekend brunch, and you can even book it for private events. Grab a seat on the upper level if you can, to fully appreciate the cafe’s distinct decor and architecture."

Café Pista

Cafe · District de Saint-Édouard

"Café Pista, Rosemont by Alto Design . A golden ceiling, cozy and peaceful space to work or relax with welcoming people, that’s what you’ll get at Café Pista. Moreover, you don’t even have to go to the café to enjoy their delicious beverages. Indeed, you might have a chance to cross their coffee-grinding-water-boiling-and-drink-serving bike on the streets of Rosemont. Fun!"

Cafellini

Cafe · District de Saint-Édouard

"Cafellini, Rosemont by Alto Design . Created by a fashion designer, Caffelini is new to the Rosemont neighborhood. Their branding is what makes them stand out. They have their own coffee brand, they sell caps, shirts and sweaters, all designed by them. It first established its unique coffee brand in St-Bruno 10 years ago and they are now expanding to Montreal in pursuit of their awesome story."

Cinéma Beaubien

Movie theater · Louis-Hebert

"Cinema Beaubien, Rosemont by Alto Design . Inaugurated in 1937, Cinema Beaubien is now the last local independent movie theater in Montréal. If you want to see the latest Michael Bay flick or the new superhero-action-packed blockbuster, you’re not in the right place. Here, the spotlights are on international and emerging talents. The theater is financed by non-profit organizations that recognize the importance of art and culture. It’s a historic place to take a break."

Locomotion Studio

Fitness center · Petite-Cote

"Locomotion, Rosemont by Alto Design . Located in Angus Shops, Locomotion studio is not your average gym with chains hanging from the ceiling or towels and dumbbells lying around. It is a clean and professional gym where you can exercise any type of training, whatever your discipline and your level. You will find a stimulating environment filled with motivating athletes that will take you beyond your limits."

Menick Barber Shop

Barber shop · Lorimier

From Hulk Hogan to star hockey players, the place has been visited by lots of famous people over the years. If you want to feel like one of them, go see Ménick."

"Mansarde Bleue, Rosemont by Alto Design . Charming boutique supporting local artisans and discoveries from all around the globe. Products sold at the Mansarde Bleu are 80% made in Québec and 90% made by women. Great way to bring back a little piece of Montreal with you."

Restaurant Miami Déli

Restaurant · Prefontaine

"Miami Déli, Rosemont by Alto Design . Miami Deli, the only 24h restaurant in Montreal with fish and sea monsters hanging from the ceiling. Every one of them caught by Mr. Tsantes, if you don’t believe us, ask him! With its colorful and unique decor, it will make you feel the Miami vibe. It’s perfect for cheap late night cravings or to recover the next day."

Régine Café

Brunch restaurant · Louis-Hebert

"Régine Café, Rosemont by Alto Design . What’s better then eating breakfast sitting on a velour chair? Régine is basically your grandmother welcoming you on a rainy Sunday. Comfort food for small, medium or large groups will help you to start the day well. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy your visit."

Paquebot Bélanger

Coffee shop · Louis-Hebert

"Café Paquebot, Rosemont by Alto Design . Even if the place is full, the owners will find you a spot where you can try their tasty breakfasts."

Montréal Plaza

Canadian restaurant · District de Saint-Édouard

"Montreal Plaza, Rosemont by Alto Design . No matter what your mood is, Montreal Plaza is the place to be. Hungry? The restaurant is managed by two pillars of the renowned Toqué! Cheryl Johnson and Charles-Antoine Crête. Thirsty? You will not be left alone with an empty glass for very long! They will make sure you have a great time. Is there something else to say? It is crowded, warm and professional. With the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, you will feel the restaurant’s intimate ambiance."

Broue Pub Brouhaha

Permanently Closed

"Broue Pub Brouhaha, Rosemont by Alto Design . Many generations of Montrealers have gathered here to watch a hockey game or enjoy a local beer with friends. Poutiflette also made a name of itself at Brouhaha, being a mix between poutine and tartiflett that can’t get any more Québécois."

"Saint-Henri café, Saint Henri by Akufen. Café Saint-Henri is more than just great coffee, lattes, espressos and locally made desserts, it's a one-stop-shop for everything coffee related. The entire back section of this trendy, church-themed hot spot is reserved for the roasting of coffee beans, which are then distributed to all the Café Saint-Henri locations in Montreal. The result is an awesome coffee shop with a knowledgeable staff and fresh beans that you can buy and bring home."

642 Courcelle St

Saint-Henri

"Stay Home Club, Saint Henri by Akufen. To quote Olivia Mew, designer and founder, "Stay Home Club is a lifestyle brand for people who have no life". The creative studio has been run out of Montreal since 2012 and is now (luckily for us) situated in Saint-Henri. Olivia Mew and a team of talented collaborators create original pieces, like t-shirts, sweaters, patches and bags, that are "designed for the disgruntled". Among these "disgruntled" SHC fans there is Lil Bub the special needs cat, Kat Von D, Buzzfeed writers and other celebs. All SHC creations are either sold on their website or in a few chosen stockists around Canada and United States."

Bar Courcelle

Bar · Saint-Henri

"Bar de Courcelle, Saint Henri by Akufen. You know when you want to go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came? Well, Bar de Courcelle is like the Cheers of Saint-Henri. Where boring evenings turn into eventful nights, where you can listen to great local bands, where you can watch a Habs game or where you can dance like there's no tomorrow on a retro dancefloor. Bar de Courcelle is simply the place to be in Saint-Henri."

"Akufen, Saint Henri by Akufen. Be prepared to see dogs running around, a couple of weirdos drawing questionable illustrations on walls and girls making a ton of food for the Akufen lunch club. This creative studio feels more like a family common room than a workplace, a family that works and laughs together. From branding to web design, Akufen's got a ton of crazy and creative minds that can bring to life crazy dreams."

Pops Art

Permanently Closed

"Pops Art, Saint Henri by Akufen. Pops art is the kind of place that makes us dream about hot summer days. Incredible homemade popsicles that will bring you right back to childhood and make your love for popsicles grow and grow and grow. Try one of the crazy flavours on their colourful little patio, because this is one of the spots that makes Saint-Henri unique."

Léché Desserts

Dessert shop · Saint-Henri

"Léché desserts, Saint Henri by Akufen. Leché Dessert is pure paradise. Period. With flavours like Lime Coconut, S'mores and Caramel Maple Bacon, this cute donut (doughnut?) shop is straight out of our wildest dreams. Oh, and they deliver. MAPLE BACON-DONUT DELIVERY, HELL YES."

Campanelli

Cafe · Saint-Henri

"Campanelli, Saint Henri by Akufen. Campanelli is the king of concept stores in Saint-Henri. It’s a coffee shop, a great sandwich spot and a paradise for skate and streetwear lovers. So if you want to discover great brands like Deus Ex Machina or Penfield while drinking a latte and eating a sandwich, this is the place to be in Saint-Henri (no rhyme intended)."

Rustique

Pastry shop · Saint-Henri

"Rustique Pie Kitchen, Saint Henri by Akufen. Rustique is a classic country pie stand... in the city. They specialize in handcrafted desserts made simply, by hand, using real butter, flour, sugar and the finest local and regional seasonal produce. They have the classics we all love like Pecan or Apple pie, but then there're the funky flavours for all you crazies out there like "Peanut Butter Cup Pie" or "Vanilla Cheesecake Pie". OH AND THEY COME IN CUTE LITTLE MINI-SIZES <3."

Restaurant 3734

Permanently Closed

"Henri Saint-Henri, Saint Henri by Akufen. East-Coast cuisine with a Southwest attitude. That's what Henri Saint-Henri is all about. Friendly and unpretentious, but with delicious quality dishes and wines. Impress your Tinder dates by taking them to this incredible restaurant with an irresistible decor."

"Canadian Centre for Architecture, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. The Canadian Centre for Architecture is a national architectural hub, producing research, exhibitions and publications, while also providing unparalleled access to their library for research and academic purposes. The CCA is even more exceptional by virtue of its having been strategically built in order to incorporate the Shaughnessy House, thus saving it from demolition. Over 100 years separate the ornate Golden Square Mile home from the sleek concrete museum, making the CCA a time-travelling property (of sorts)."

MELK Café Stanley

Coffee shop · Downtown Montreal

"Melk Bar à Café, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Tucked into a cosy space between buildings, the MELK Bar à Café is a true gem of the downtown core. L'Intervalle Sainte - Catherine

Shoe store · Downtown Montreal

"L'intervalle, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Walking into L’INTERVALLE feels like discovering a well-kept secret. Founded in the Plateau and inspired by a desire for non-mass-produced goods, this young footwear company’s popularity has spread like wildfire, with shops opening all over Montreal and even Toronto. Still, L’INTERVALLE manages to exude a cool exclusivity while designing cult favourites for those who defy the currents. The allure of this label is only heightened by that fact that it only produces European-made, high-quality goods carefully crafted with time-honoured techniques."

"Au Sommet Place Ville Marie, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Located on the 46th floor, the Observation Deck Au Sommet Place Ville Marie offers a jaw-dropping, 360-view of Montreal and Mount-Royal. Even bumper-to-bumper traffic and bright orange construction cones seem to melt into the landscape in a way that’s (almost) endearing. Just below the observation deck is #MTLGO, an interactive exhibition that immerses visitors in the everyday rituals of Montrealers. Feeling peckish? Visit the 44th floor to eat at Les Enfants Terribles, a brasserie with character and another breathtaking view."

Cafe · Vieux Montréal

"Crew Collective & Café, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Located in a 1920s bank building on the border between Ville-Marie and Old Montréal, the Crew Collective & Café welcomes freelancers, businesspeople and students for coffee and quality work time. With 50-foot-high vaulted ceilings, intricate chandeliers and marble tiling, there’s something about the astounding architecture of this neo-classical building that makes you want to be productive. That, and the super-fast free WiFi, silence pods and incredible coffee (from Montreal’s own roaster, Café Saint-Henri). While co-working spaces are becoming more popular, few compare to Crew’s distinct mood."

"Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. The *Musée d’art contemporain* is a fundamental part of Montreal’s art scene, putting the spotlight on contemporary artists and works, while continuously searching for ways to stimulate reflection and creative thinking from visitors. More than an elegant space displaying intriguing works of art, the museum encourages guests to delve deep into the art world and develop an appreciation for the contemporary genre through special exhibitions, day camps for children and workshops for adults."

La Habanera

Temporarily Closed

"La Habanera, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. You can still have a tropical experience north of the border, with a quick trip to this authentic Cuban café. From the moment you set your eyes on the neon sign outside (it reads “All you need is love & mojitos”) to the moment you take a bite of that Cubano cuisine, you’ll feel transported to the charm and ambience of steamy Havana (flamingos included). Compact but truly special, La Habanera offers a sensational and intimate dining experience."

Restaurant Orange Rouge

Permanently Closed

"Orange rouge, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Aside from employing the nicest staff ever, Orange rouge is described as Chinatown’s best kept secret. With its generous selection of Asian-fusion dishes and beverages, the restaurant owes its inspiration to Chinese cuisine and a delicate mix of Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean flavours (much like Montreal, Orange rouge celebrates the power of diversity). Sit back and enjoy the refined, speakeasy-style ambience created by lacquered black walls and soft candlelight. Chef Minh Phat’s creations will take you on a culinary trip like never before!"

fofa gallery

Art gallery · Downtown Montreal

"FOFA Gallery, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Located in Concordia University’s modern engineering and visual arts complex, the FOFA Gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions and events, including the work of Concordia alumni, students, faculty, staff and other artists contributing to the school’s research. While the venue itself, bathed in sunlight, benefits from an impeccably bright and open atmosphere, its most alluring aspect is easily the line-up of artists who exhibit their work there. A space for innovation and imagination, the FOFA Gallery always offers a selection of fresh works that reflect a true appreciation for the arts."

Camellia Sinensis | Boutique

Tea store · Downtown Montreal

"Camellia Sinensis Tea House, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. The Camellia Sinensis tea house radiates calm, peaceful vibes. This place is meant for unwinding: while it isn’t actively enforced, the tea house is a tech-free zone. Perfect for seasoned tea-drinkers or curious amateurs, the extensive tea collection and expert staff are guaranteed to satisfy your needs (or cravings). Browse through the Camellia Sinensis collection in an intimate setting, breathe easy and enjoy your cup of tea with no rush!"

La Capital Tacos

Taco restaurant · Downtown Montreal

"La Capital Tacos, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. You’ve never had tacos like this before. A minimalist, but dynamic taqueria, La Capital serves authentic Mexican street food in a cosy, informal setting. Another Chinatown culinary gem, this restaurant is the perfect place to stuff yourself with heavenly quesadillas and specialty tacos (like the rib-eye), while enjoying great drinks and impeccable service."

Pigeon Espresso Bar

Coffee shop · Downtown Montreal

"Pigeon Espresso Bar, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Pigeon espresso bar is the coolest kid on the block. Sarcastic, self-deprecating and fluent in pop-culture-speak, the coffee shop shows off its “street cred” through punny merch (like its “Make Americanos Great Again” caps) and Drake-inspired board art. If you’re more about the drink than the #mood, Pigeon pours a mean coffee and even has Kombucha on tap (for your weird friends)."

Foodchain

Permanently Closed

"Foodchain, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. Foodchain embodies everything we wish food chains actually were: healthy, easy and accessible. While technically a salad bar, this restaurant offers more than just a bunch of different veggies mixed together—the menu is built on the science of complementary flavours and unconventional pairings. Oh, and not gonna lie, we’ve got a soft spot for the branding, too."

Koa Lua Sainte Catherine

Temporarily Closed

"Koa Lua, Ville Marie by Havas Montréal. It only makes sense for a restaurant serving poké bowls to have a décor as brightly coloured as its delectable dishes. Giving off some seriously cool Hawaiian vibes, Koa Lua is both an eatery and a destination! Get your poké fix, dine tête-à-tête with Elvis and relax without ever leaving the city. What more could you want?"
