A historic cinema in Montreal! I loved how quaint it was. We went on a Tuesday when movies are inexpensive at $8.00! The rooms are small but surprisingly, the matinee gave us almost a full house! Their small snack bar is so very cute but it has everything one could want. They play many interesting local films which is awesome.

A lovely theater that mostly presents repertoire movies in French. Each theater room are small and general entry so you need to show up early to get good seats. Just like the old days! This adds a little something special that makes this venue a cute place to see movies.

All of the employees here are very nice. We went to see Flow and the rooms are small. You have to arrive pretty early to get the seats you want, like 30 min in advance at least. I suggest you buy your tickets online beforehand because there aren’t always some left if you buy them there in person.

Not my favorite theater in Montreal. The seating is older than others and not as lux. Also the brightness or contrast setting seemed less than other theaters in town. The blacks weren’t as deep as I have grown accustomed too. My hope is that this theater will be up for a refresh in the near future.

Great place to catch a movie, particularly Quebecois films. The room itself is pretty cramped. I'm 5"3 and was feeling squeezed. Also, the volume was pretty out of control- the movie was excessively loud for the size of the space. Overall though an awesome spot

I love the reclining seats! Makes the movie experience so much better

It's small, it's good for French movies, but it lacks cleanness.

Most of the movies they offer are local movies, in Quebec French, produced for a local audience, with local actors, local themes, and quite frankly boring like most of Quebec productions. The distribution of the seats is rather awkward, they are placed on a semi-circle rather than completely frontal to the screen, in a straight line, like in most of movie theatres. They could have been a bit smarter and leave some space for people to circulate, particularly those who will be sitting at the end of the rows towards the sides, who by the way, will be watching the movie from a lateral angle. If you are sitting where I was you cannot leave your row without bothering those sitting at the center since there is no way to et up and walk by the wall. The seats are not precisely comfortable, the arm rests are made of plastic so after a while my arms were numb. If you want a wider variety of independent films from around the world try Cinema Du Parc, owned by the same company.

Yelp
What a gem of an old-fashioned movie theatre! We need to keep these places alive by supporting local Québec filmmakers.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of movies in French, which is mostly what they play here, but I remember watching OG films like La Guerre des Tuques when I was a kid over there & loved the coziness of this cinema. Went a few times with my school, both in elementary and high school.

Yelp
Definitely not at the caliber of the American cinemas that are strewn everywhere in Quebec. However the selection is of good quality. I went to a see a movie that I thought would've been of Quebec provenance, but instead was from France. I am aware of the French filmmakers doing good for their country, but wanted to be preparing myself to watch a Quebec movie and was sparky disappointed. Hopefully the next time I come by that will be the type of movie I watch, The popcorn size was normal compared to the supersize me proportions of American movie theatres.

Yelp
This is one of those places that you check if there are no other options. They cater mostly to a Quebec French-speaking audience who prefers local movies with local actors and local stories, so do not expect big mainstream films let alone films in English. The seats are placed in unusual way and the seats are rather uncomfortable. They have a concession with candy bars, coffee, muffins, and popcorn but no place to sit down and enjoy the coffee since they have three halls and the space is somewhat compressed.
