"Rustique is a classic country pie stand... in the city. They specialize in handcrafted desserts made simply, by hand, using real butter, flour, sugar and the finest local and regional seasonal produce. They have the classics we all love like Pecan or Apple pie, but then there're the funky flavours for all you crazies out there like "Peanut Butter Cup Pie" or "Vanilla Cheesecake Pie". OH AND THEY COME IN CUTE LITTLE MINI-SIZES <3." - Akufen

"This Sanit-Henri establishment is a reputed pie purveyor. Still, birthday-worthy cakes are also in its repertoire — think funfetti, s’mores, or an elderflower cake with lemon curd and toasted meringue. Orders can be placed online." - Valerie Silva

"Rustique is the gold standard for pie in Montreal, and you can’t go wrong with any of the seasonal flavours currently on offer, each of which is made with the Saint-Henri pie shop’s signature thick, buttery crust. If you’re a traditionalist, go for the classic pumpkin (served with fresh whipped cream and toasted pumpkin seeds), or choose another fall favourite, like Quebec apple or pecan. Can’t decide? Opt for an assortment of 2-inch mini pies in an assortment of three flavours." - Holly Tousignant, Valerie Silva

I have tried several cakes from this bakery and they have all been absolutely incredible. The flavour, the creativity, the decorating - everything is perfect. I especially love how they introduce new flavours seasonally. My favorites are their cakes incorporating fruit (lemon blueberry, cranberry, lemon elderflower), however, their carrot cake is also perfection. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next! 😊

Google
Excellent service. Sadly the last apple pie was served to the gentleman before me. I chose to get an assortment of things. The cookie with peanuts is delightful. The Oreo brownie was also really nice. The rest was ok but not remarkable. The prices here are steep. I inquired about this, wondering if perhaps there is a special flour or some other special ingredient. The staff was not aware. 6 pieces, including very small pieces, 28$.

I am completely awestruck by the extraordinary quality of these cupcakes! They are truly a culinary marvel! 🤩 Located conveniently near my office in St. Henri, this bakery has quickly become our favorite destination whenever my coworkers and I yearn for delectable treats. Let me delve into the sheer magnificence of their Quebec apple pie, which can only be described as a work of art. Each mouthwatering bite is an explosion of flavors, as the harmonious blend of spices delicately waltzes on my taste buds. This pie achieves a remarkable equilibrium of sweetness, making it an absolute delight for anyone with a penchant for sugary indulgences. However, what truly sets it apart is the flawlessly crafted crust. The pastry is phenomenally flaky, offering a tantalizing contrast to the heavenly filling. It's a symphony of textures and flavors that will undoubtedly leave you yearning for more. While I have also savored their alluring assortment of mini pies, I must emphasize that the 10" pies are the epitome of culinary excellence. These larger pies boast an even more generous serving of the tantalizing filling, ensuring that every slice is brimming with delectable goodness. Trust me, the 10" pies are well worth every additional mouthful!

It's hard to choose what to get... Many great options if you have a sweet tooth! The place is very cozy.

Google
It used to be an excellent dessert shop. They have changed the quality, more sugar, less quality and the prices are not indicated. You end up with 30 dollars for 6 cookies if you do not ask the price before paying. They were also less fresh than the past. For me, it is the last time.

Google
Tasty treats, I loved the little pies, could have had more filling, but was delicious nonetheless. Highly recommend grabbing some of these or a big pie and taking it to the park nearby to enjoy if the weather is nice.

Google
The smell when you walk in the shop is just sublime! The small pies are very small, about 2-3 small bites, with not much filling in them, but the crust is fresh, buttery and flaky. However, I highly recommend taking the pecan pie, which was absolutely delicious, as well as the funfetti bar (very decadent and filling).

Google
THESE PIES ARE LITTERALLY AMAZING 🤩! This bakery is close to my office in st Henri and my coworkers seem to get pies from here occasionally. The Quebec apple pie is sooooo flavourful with bursts of spices and has the perfect sweetness. The crust is extremely flaky which adds a nice contrast to the filling. I’ve also tried a few mini pies from here but definitely recommend getting the 10” pies as they have more filling.

Yelp
Beautiful place! Staff was great and accommodating. I can't wait to visit again. I even purchased a candle.

Yelp
There isn't much to say about a pie that we couldn't eat whole (4 different people tried) Soggy, imposible to serve and overall more sour than necessary. Many people (including Google) will tell you that Rustique pie kitchen has the best pies in town. Many people will argue that you can't judge a place based on one single meal/item/experience. We believe neither of those things

Yelp
Ok WHAT IS THIS PLACE AND HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT IT SOONER!? First of all please note that I LOVE a good bakery. If there are baked goods involved, I AM IN! Anyway... had to pick up a pie for a family gathers and so naturally I look up some bakeries in the area and end up here. Let's acknowledge really quickly that most of the non-pie items in the store are really like the same 3 items in various sized canisters. Not mad about it... just wanted to make sure we were all aware. Now... onto the pies. I love them! So good! They have full size and mini-pies. I got a full sized pecan and a full sized blueberry/some other berry pie (which is a season pie, not always on the menu). They both have that trademark shell style which I really enjoy (both looking at and eating). The blueberry one was good, but the PECAN... THE PECAN WAS EVERYTHING. Best pecan pie I've had. Sweet, but not too sweet. Perfect texture and thickness. Couldn't find any issue with it (other than it's exorbitant cost). In addition to their normal sized pies, they also have their minis! I got 4 mini pies (as a pie flight of sorts) so I could try them all! The pumpkin is ok, but the pumpkin flavor was a bit subtle. The apple was good - exactly what you'd expect but with a slightly better top crust. The raspberry was nice and tart and the lemon meringue had reallllly good lemon curd, though they could have put a bit less meringue on that thang. The one thing I have to call out here (other than the utter lack of parking) is that this place is PRICEY. The product is good, but it's going to cost you. I think it is worth it, but more for special occasions... not a casual Tuesday night pie, ya know? Anyway, would still highly recommend! Stay Cheerful ;)

Yelp
Excellent dessert & pastries! Always a good idea to get an assortment & try several of them. Quality of Ingredients 10/10 Freshness 10/10 Customer Service 10/10

Yelp
Man, how do all the patisseries in Montreal do it? Seems like every place is super cute, charming; Rustique is no different. We dropped by on a Monday afternoon to try a few mini tarts/pies. There's many flavours (see the tartes saisonnières board) but also a variety of baked goods and drinks. They even do wedding cakes which I'm sure are divine. The inside is homey, staff friendly and love the cozy seating area to sit and relax. It's small but they have comfy pillows! - White orchard and hibiscus iced tea ($3.50) - Mo had her own mason jar so they used that to make her drink. Can't say I've ever had such a flowery drink before but it didn't have much taste. - Strawberry and rhubarb mini pies ($2.25) - a little too much crust to filling ratio but still tasty. They're about two bites worth. - Lemon meringue mini pies ($2.25) - filling was delicious. Not overwhelmingly sweet. Perfect amount to whet your sweet tooth. This spot fits in perfectly with the rest of its food neighbours. Will try a slice of pie next time!

Yelp
I have a big BBQ party this afternoon, and decided to bring pies. I went to Rustique, a pie shop near my place. The moment you open the door, the nostrils fill up by the beautiful aroma of fresh baked pie. Simply heaven! The staff are super nice and very helpful. I told her I need three big pies for a party, she gave her recommendations. I took an apple pie, a strawberry and rhubarb pie and a blueberry pie. The prices are reasonable. I love the decor inside, with a bookshelf filled with books on pie recipes, and their Rustique signature cups. It's a small place, but it feels cozy. In the end, I got myself a treat, a fruit cheesecake tart. It was lovely! Do pass by here, and pick a treat.

Yelp
Afternoon hangout place to have tea and chat with friends. But there's very limited seating indoors. Most people order the deserts to go. If you buy a dozen, they provide a lovely windowed box that has a holder for each pie so they stay intact and makes a great food gift! The bakers are really nice and everything is made on site. I loved these bite sized pies!

Michael B.

Yelp
They use to make amazing pies. Now they just make these little square things that don't taste as good and are way more expensive. How can you be called a pie kitchen and not sell pies?

Jolie C.V. H.

Yelp
I tried to resist the temptation of coming into this shop. Passed it by once while exploring the neighborhood. On my way back I just couldn't help but pop in. All it took was a simple logo of a pie. There's always room for dessert is my motto. So you know trouble is coming. I bought 6 freakin pies! Apple, chocolate, berry, pecan..... Ok, they were tiny little bite size portions but still. Can I just say they were all delicious? Especially the pecan one...absolute heaven. The space is very small with just a few coveted tables. Would have loved to sit and enjoy the space but it's probably best I eat my six pies alone.

Xue L.

Yelp
Cute little spot for dessert and a nice cup of tea/coffee. They have a variety of pastries and dessert and it's so hard to choose. I tried the caramel fleur de sel brownie and it was delicious and very chewy. The place is small but they have comfortable chairs and sofas so you can sit there with friends and chill. The staff is also nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Konstantina P.

Yelp
This cozy little bakery offers a very nice space with limited seating where you can grab some of their baked goods with a coffee. As this place is always full, I tend to grab my order to go. They offer an assortment of bars, cakes but you come here for the pie. Best part is they have perfectly bite size little tarts that you can grab to go; they are perfect as a gift, especially for a dinner party. The little tarts are seasonal depending on the fruit available but they have a few staples like their meringue or s'more tarts which are divine! I grabbed a half dozen; they are placed in a box that honestly keep those babies safe through any ride, and makes for a nice presentation. My flavours included strawberry-rhubarb, peach, apple, s'mores lemon meringue, and pistachio cream cheese! I ate them all!! No regrets! Every morsel was divine but their fruit tarts are my faves. Yes, they don't come cheap hence the four star rating but I think they are so worth the price.

Yelp
I have only just ordered and sat down and already I am giving this lovely cafe five stars. The first thing to hit you as you walk through the door is the wondrous smell of their many baked goods: sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Tiny tarts, squares, loafs, and pies among others all, as the name would imply, perfectly imperfect, giving them a very genuine home made feel. This tiny cafe has only three cosy tables, nestled in the window, making it perfect for a quiet afternoon of reading, work, or people watching. The staff was friendly and brought me my coffee and chocolate mint Nanaimo bar. OH MY GOD! CHOCOLATE. MINT. NANAIMO. BAR! This is possibly amongst the best things I have ever put in my mouth... And the coffee, one of the smoothest and creamiest I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy! All in all this bakery, although out of my usual neck of the woods is well worth the trip, and will definitely be worth a return trip... Or ten.

Danie R.

Yelp
I just walked in there to get a treat. I picked a scone only to find out that they are $4 a piece! That is ridiculous for a small piece of pastry. If only it had been a great tasting one or something special but nah. It tasted actually bland. It's allright no complaints there but nothing to write home about either. There was one piece of crushed berry and one piece of rhubarb and that's it. Maybe there are better choices but this was ridiculous.

Yelp
A small cupcakery, doughnut shop, or even frozen yogurt, yeah been there done that. However, a small boutique pie shop I have not done that. While visiting Montreal, my wife and I were looking for something sweet and relatively light to enjoy. A quick look on Yelp reveals something that neither one of us have tried. The idea of having a small one to two bite pie was not something that we were considering, however, when we came across Rustique, we were both just as eager as could be to sink our teeth into them. When we entered we were instantly blown away by the smell. It was an overwhelming aroma of fresh pie crust and delicious filling. The shop its self was small, only had a few seats near the front that could accommodate around 8-10 people. But it was clear that most people come in to grave a few pies to go. The pies sat behind a sheet of glass just tantalizing you with the small size but beautiful appearance. Since the pies were so small, my wife and I settled on sharing 4 of them. We chose the pumpkin, chocolate pecan, pistachio cheesecake, and raspberry pie. All of them came out looking like they could have been in a photo inside of a cookbook. The pecan pie was possibly the best I have ever had. The pumpkin immediately made me think of Thanksgiving dinner. The raspberry, tart and sweet all at the same time. And the cheesecake was as silky smooth as one could ever hope for with the slightest tang from cheese. Simply put, they were all very delicious.

Yelp
Amazing pie shop! I walked by on the way to lunch and noticed this cute shop. So glad I decided to walk in! It's an amazing shop with awesome pies. The pie crust was so thin and the filling wasn't overwhelmingly sweet! They also have a lot of different types of desserts. I wish I get to try them all. Tried the blueberry pie and earl grey cream pie. I like them both. The blueberry jam filling was gooey in a really nice way. And the earl grey cream was full of tea flavour which is really refreshing but got the cream based texture. Must try pie shop in Montreal!

Noha G.

Yelp
I have been hearing unbelievable things about Rustique for years and so, on a random Saturday while running errands in the area, we decided to stop by to see what all the rage was about. We waited in line for about 10 minutes and when we got in, ordered four of their minis (a couple pies, a brownie and another little pastry). They were all honestly a pretty big let down. Nothing special at all. They weren't good nor bad - just meh. Not sure if the reviews are about their bigger pies but we won't be coming back sadly!

Tamara H.

Yelp
So freakin' good! These mini 2-bite pies are the cutest and tastiest treats around. The buttery delicious smell hits you in the face the second you walk in. Very cute café/bakery in the St-Henri area on Notre-Dame. Worth it if you're in the area, and great if you're looking for something unique to bring to a dinner party!

Melanie R.

Yelp
Tiny pies. This is all that matters. I am fussy with crust..my mom makes the BEST crust..and my chef child...who works across the road from Rustique...makes fantastic pies from scratch. .so when she insisted on picking some up..I was skeptical. Omg. Earl Grey tea cream. Perfect crust. Tiny bite. Just enough after one of the giant burritos from one of the surrounding joints.

Jana T.

Yelp
Seriously unimpressed with Rustique pies right now. I'm sure their pies are very good but their customer service is very disappointing. I called them a few days ago to ask about pies for Christmas Eve. The person on the phone told me they don't reserve pies and they open at 10 am on the 24th. Showed up at 10 am, they open at 9. No pies left. The person serving us shrugged and told us we should have called a few days ago to reserve. Bah humbug.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
So, we're walking down the street and suddenly there's a pie shop where there was construction a week before! And what pies; these are "Oh-my!" type pies. The lemon meringue had me doing the happy dance and the apple pie has this amazing taste of... nope, won't give the secret away; you'll have to go and try some for yourselves. There were blueberry and pecan and chocolate pies that I am looking forward to trying. And the carrot cake - woot! More-please-oh-my-yes. And the mint Nanaimo bars and all sorts of lovely ooey goodness including flavoured marshmallow and caramel corn. But wait! There's more! The prices are right! Fabulous! Hooray - couldn't be more pleased. The staff/owners are delightful and the decor is beautiful up-cycled wood and it fits into the neighbourhood like a hand in a tailor-made glove. Congratulations ladies - your new shop is a "Goldilocks zone" gem.

Yelp
Rustique is a very charming little pie and coffee shop in St-Henri. After passing by several times with my husband, one day we finally decided to stop and try what they had to offer. Two coffees and two mini-pies later, we found ourselves quite satisfied; the pies are tasty and the coffees, although not necessarily the most memorable in town, are good as well. Besides the food, I loved most of all the cutesy rustic ambiance of the place, the amicable staff and their very comfortable seating area with a view of Notre-Dame Street. I wouldn't be surprised at all if I catch myself one day making a habit out of grabbing a small pie every time I pass by Rustique!

Shazia K.

Yelp
I always get overwhelmed when I walk into Rustique. The smell, the decor, the layout of all the yummy treats...everything is so perfect. I then spend a good amount of time taking in the scent and looking at each pie on display. Eventually, I make my order and take a seat next to the window and enjoy the heavenly taste of the pies. I have tried many of their desserts and I have never been disappointed. It's a tiny and cozy little place with three tables. I love catching up with friends in this place. It's such a calm enviornment. Service is always fast and excellent. Definitely one of my favorite dessert spots.

Sandy S.

Yelp
Their mini pies are extremely small, yes i know it's mini, but these were literally one bite. And that's fine but for the price its ridiculous. And they weren't that good. The crust would stick to the aluminum making harder to get a good bite. In terms of flavors nothing special. And as you can see from the picture we tried every flavor. I think this place is overhyped by their beautiful displays and beautiful take away boxes. And cute and cozy store. I think that explains the price tag.

Julia D.

Yelp
It's probably for the best that I don't live near this place because if I did I'd probably be there a lot and I'm not sure my waistline could handle that. This homey bakery is located in St-Henri and as the logo might suggest their specialty is pie although they do have many other baked goods on hand to satisfy your sweet tooth. The staff is super friendly and the smells that fill this place make it clear that the product is going to be mighty tasty. I ordered a full apple pie to take to a family dinner and a Hello Dolly to eat on my way home. The Hello Dolly was a square with a graham cracker crust and filled with chocolate chips and almonds. It was amazing! The pie too did not disappoint. The crust was flaky and tender and the filling was just right. You could taste the tartness of the apples, a hint of cinnamon and honestly it was as good as a proper homemade apple pie. The one star that I knocked off is for the prices which are a bit on the expensive side however don't let that discourage you because this place is absolutely fantastic.

Dave N.

Yelp
Rustic pies are delicious ! I've been here about 3 times and every time I've gotten good service and a good product. The pie game in Montreal is pretty lacking and rustique definitely gets the crown for top pie in my opinion . Good stuff and great service ! 100% recommend

Sehrish N.

Yelp
I've never walked into Rustique but I've tasted so many of their pies in the past couple of years! They are probably the best pies you'd have where they taste homey. I can't wait to go in and try their other goodies.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
delicious tarts and sweets for a good price. the small fruit tarts are mostly dough and little bit of filling, so i think its better to get the big ones. i think the best are the lemon meringue tarts. delicious

Maria V.

Yelp
Good things come in small packages, Rustique is no exception to that rule. Conveniently located with a short walking distance from, St. Henri Metro. Or street parking for those that use a car or bike. The place is loaded with charm and cuteness, small but comfortable. Mind you, if you care to sit down to sip a coffee, tea, or hot cocoa, keep in mind they only have two tables with two chairs each. Along with a bench. However, space is limited! Wait! Don't let that turn you off! Rustique shows nothing but a load of devotion and excellent quality ingredients in each of their pies. Everything is absolutely homemade in their location. Everything is fresh and oh so darn good tasting! The moment you walk-in, you often get a lovely smell of comforting apples, cinnamon or butter. Sometimes chocolate or lemon. The variety of pies is outstanding! They do change from season to season, which is something I love! They have a beautifully board with hand drawn pictures of each of their pies along with labels. Everything is beautifully presented. With so many delicious choices, you don't know what to select. Here's a suggestion. They have mini versions of their most popular flavours such as (Apple, lemon meringue, sour cherry, chocolate ganache and marshmallows. Along with many others to choose from. You pick your own flavours, whether it's a box of 3,6,12 more or less. That's up to you! Which is a great way to get an idea of each of their flavours. Which I assure you, none of them will disappoint you. Believe me! As for the staff, as always very kind, helpful, and friendly. They add that lovely neighborhood touch to the store each time I walked in. Which is frequently!! Aside from pies, they make some mean and outstanding marshmallows(Homemade!) along with fantastic granola and many other sweet bites. Their chocolate dipped meringue is just so darn good. Did I mention they use a European dark chocolate for all of their baking.. My favourite! Rusqtiue truly adds the perfect sweet touch to St. Henri. Go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Rod M.

Yelp
Best pies in town! What else can I say? Well one other thing. Not only do they make great pies, but they have mastered the tiny pie. I've tried many bite sized pies from different places and am normally disappointed. I typically find that with small pies all you get is crust and never really taste the filling. However, Rustique has managed to create the perfect mini pie. With each and every pie you enjoy the full taste of the filling and never get a mouthful overwhelmed with crust. Rustique offer a wide selection of pies and other sweet delights. Personally, I don't think that you can go wrong. Just go with what ever looks good and enjoy.

Annie B.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to have Rustique take care of the sweet table at my wedding. They exceeded my expectations and left my whole family talking about how delicious their macaroons were and pies! I personally love their lemon bars and the lemon meringue pie is also amazing. The service is constantly good. I worked with Jacqueline for the sweet table and she was quick to respond, address my questions and was very accommodating with my requests. My husband and I still make trips whenever we are craving something sweet. If I ever have any events - I always reserve a pie or two. Just love the vibe of this place and they don't sacrifice taste for decorations/effects like a lot of places do!

Patricia C.

Yelp
This adorable little bakery makes a great selection of mini and full sized pies ! they always have seasonal flavours on hand as well as the classics and at reasonable prices, especially considering the quality. Honestly my favourite pie in Montreal right now. The staff is always warm and welcoming and the pie is always delicious . My only criticism is that they have very limited seating.

Jason K.

Yelp
Super neat little bakery!! The rest of the reviews here are for the pies. Don't get me wrong the pies are... Well... Pies, they are good but whatever, they are pies But my god!!! The squares they have here are totally worth getting diabetes for!! no joke!! They are complex and sweet and totally the best in the city, hand made marshmallows!!! Hand made caramel!! All the squares, muffin things, cookies, and other unique contraptions are seriously worth driving across the city for. Oh ya, pies are pretty good too!

Yelp
Located at a 5 min walk from Place-St-Henri metro station, Rustique is famous for its various pies. It was cozy, warm and welcoming. I love pies. I had to control myself or else I would have bought everything. I bought: - Vanilla Cherry Cheesecake - Peanut Butter Cup Pie - Lemon Meringue Pie And I made a special request for 2 Flat Whites. I would definitely go back: To try all their pies For their great and lovely service - it really makes all the difference in making customers feel welcome and at home Rustique is best for: Dates and small groups of up to 4 people It's diverse pie choices Full review: http://seizonal.com/2015/03/13/home-sweet-homemade-pies-at-rustique/

Yelp
I ve tried campfire and few small pies. The normal pie crust would stick to the bottom of the aluminum and the crust from the camp fire just felled apart. The service was great and is cozy to sit in and enjoy some tea and pie. The price is pricey for not so much hype, I've yet to try a big classic pie but so far rockaberry is more convenient and cheaper option.

Alexandria G.

Yelp
Mini tarts were super delicious just too sad that the place wasn't big enough for people to stay and chat.

Ann T.

Yelp
Location: Notre-Dame West. Place St. Henri is probably the closest subway station, street parking is available (metered). The place: The space, to match its name, is small and rustic. There are a few tables at the front (unless I'm making that up), with the main service counter in the middle and shelves filled with goodies directly across from it. There, you can find homemade marshmallows (HELLO!) and 49th Parallel coffee beans, among other things. The goods: Obviously, Rustique's main specialty is pies - pies of all kinds. Cherry pie, apple pie, pear pie and so on. But, in addition to this, they also offer up extra large meringue, marshmallows (oh, did I already mention those?), granola, cookies and, SUPER COOL: homemade Whippets. I went in to pick up some marshmallows, after having purchased some through Lufa and falling in love with them. I'm generally not a fan of these, but Rustique's are so soft and tasty, and I didn't go into a sugar coma after eating one. You have to try the roasted coconut variety - amazing! I also tried their cherry and apple pies (in the individual sizes) and a Whippet. The pies were delicious, as was the Whippet. The only thing is that the Whippet was a little too sweet for me. Price point: I think the tiny pies were $1.95 each, the marshmallows are $5 (for five) and the Whippet was $3.95. I think the full-size pies start at $17, which seems a little steep - but what do I know about pies?

Yelp
St-Henri is quickly turning into one of my favorite areas for food and more specifically desserts. Looking for something different to try for family Sunday dinner, I drove down to Notre-Dame and de Courcelles to a place I have had my eye since it opened a few months ago: Rustique Pie Kitchen. Any place that uses a pie as its logo is alright by me however, once you enter the bakery, you realize very quickly that Rustique is definitely not just a pie place. All manners of large pies, mini pies, caramel popcorn, peanut brittle, cookies, brownies.... A sweet tooth's delight. We came away with a box of 6 mini pies, caramel popcorn and two marshmallow cookies sandwiches. The marshmallow sandwiches were quite good. Delicious homemade marshmallow of a perfect consistency stuck between the two cookies - either chocolate chip or peanut butter. The cookies themselves were quite good although I wished the peanut butter ones were softer. They were a little too dry compared to what I really love as a peanut butter cookie. For the mini pies, we came away with 6 different flavours: apple pie, peach pie, berry crumble, pecan pie, blackberry ginger and wild blueberry. Off the bat, the pie crust for all of these was spot-on. Great golden flakiness without being dried out. A great buttery taste but not so much that it distracts from the filling inside each one. The individual fillings were all quite good. Tons of flavour with a clear use of fresh ingredients for each one. You can tell this is a place where everything is done from stratch. Of particular note, the blackberry ginger pie was a great combination that I have had before but now I definitely need to get a large scale version of said pie. The caramel popcorn was a nice gluten free alternative for one certain family member and on top of that, was quite delicious. Nice crunch to the popcorn with a nice caramel coating. Very satisfying for the little amount I tried of that bag. I loved my first experience at Rustique so much that I went two days later for a quick tea and mini key lime pie while sitting outside for a nice 30 minutes or so. Was a great way to spend a beautifully sunny and warm mid-afternoon and something I will definitely do again. If you love pies and all manners of other desserts, Rustique definitely needs to be on your list of places to check out. Cheers!

Yelp
I came in here since I love a good pie and when I spied they make and offer Banoffee Pie, a bit of a rarity in these parts since it's such a British dessert, I knew I had to try it, plus there were all these great reviews so I knew I was due for a visit. First of all, yes, the prices are a bit high for what amounts to pie. Full pies are between $17-$26 each but if that is a little to much, you can always try their small-sized bite-sized versions which go for $1.95 each. Maybe it's just me but I found the pies just a little "too" sweet for my tastes. Don't get me wrong, they are very good and you can taste the freshness and quality in them, but sometimes when things are a little too rich or too sweet, you eat a few bites and realize you can't go any further and that's what basically happened to me. Still, while I don't see myself becoming a regular, if you are in the neighborhood and craving something sweet, this is the best place to go.

Yelp
If you're looking to treat yourself, this is the place to do it. The name is an honest description of this bakery's homey interior. Fantastically hospitable staff serving up some of the most delicious pies and baked goods I've ever had. The iced coffee is not overpowering but delivers that much needed caffeine boost. Also don't be afraid to bring your gluten-free friends or family, they offer a fair selection of snacks that look just as scrumptious. I will definitely be going back!

Myrna B.

Yelp
I the chocolate hazelnut Square was to die for! Combination of Rich cream chocolate flavor and Hazelnut and the meringue was delectable. Everything looks delicious. The coffee was also excellent! A little pricey though

Yelp
Adorable little bakery in the heart of St-Henri. It's all white walls and wooden floors, with just a few tables and a really comfy bench with cushions to get cozy. There's definitely a rustic and intimate feeling to this place, perfect for coffee dates, not so much for working on your laptop (there's no wifi anyways). Bring a good book or a friend, pick one of those dainty, delicious tartelettes from the counter, and let the afternoon go by.

Yelp
Stopped in looking to buy a loaf of bread and ended up sipping on a latte and devouring the cutest, prettiest, most rustic and delicious little treats I could imagine. Yum. Their specialty is pie. You can pick up a whole one for around 24$ or they replicate mini-pies for each flavour- so many to choose from, each more delicious than the next. The spot is great too, with 3 cosy tables in the corner, by the window. Very welcoming and comfortable vibe. Staff was very pleasant too. No complains. Except that I never did find that bread I was looking for!

Yelp
What a gem in the heart of the city! Been craving pie for weeks. The mini pies are perfect for those cravings without the guilt of over indulding. Key lime pie and vanilla cheese cake were my absolute favorite. Will definitely go back

Yelp
Pies are delicious but overpriced - $2.50 for a small pie that you can finish in two bites.

Yelp
Delicious pies! I try lemon desserts everywhere I go and their lemon meringue tart is PHENOMENAL. I wish there were more seats, though!

Yelp
I like pies. No, no, I love pies. I love pies and baked goods... well you get the picture... Little single serving pies are not only cute, but the perfect thing to bring to pot lucks, dinner parties, or just to bring one to a friend who needs a lil pie in their lives. I came here on a Friday evening after work and they still had a great selection, I walked away trying the classic apple, lemon meringue, coconut cream, lemon bar, mint bar, the pistachio nut meringue, and hello dolly! I'm glad they last long because I have taken bites out of each since then! I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of the lemon bar as I thought I would be, but everything else was awesome... so awesome in fact, that I brought a friend there the next day, to my dismay they were already closed...boo hoo. I also love that they have parallel 49 coffee, and oh yes, the ladies at the counter were great, friendly and personable! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Good job Rustique, for making my waist line expand in the next few months. :) If pies aren't your thing, they also have other desserts (meringues, nanaimo bars, cookies) which are also excellent! A great neighborhood gem!

Yelp
First the positive....... the BEST lemon meringue pies!! The whippets are good too but very sweet. Other small pies often are mostly crust not enough filling. Very lack luster. The worst thing about this place is that they often don't have stuff to buy. Can't count on them Been there 3 times in the early afternoon and they had no family size pies.

Yelp
This place bakes amazing pastries. They come in a small personal format or as a big pie. The pie that I love the most is the pumpkin pie during the fall. Other great buys are the lemon bar, pecan scones, chocolate & nuts bar, and many others. It is a quality place and apart from the taste, the design is remarkable.
