On his website, he self-describes: «I make stamps, I sell them, and with the money, I buy drinks.» He's just the right amount of inappropriate and satirical; his stamps are unexpectedly poetic."

This brand new hostel has rooms from 2 to 8 beds, where everything is designed for your comfort. Along the common room there is a huge bar where you can drink local beer from Montreuil or Oberkampf, Belleville coffee or eat products from neighbouring shops. This room also features arcade games, photo booths and punching bag are one side, and a reading area around a stove on the other. The margaritas are strong and have that Mexican spicy salt along the edges of the glass. The cocktails are artisanal and very tasty. The staff is friendly and give you recommendations on cocktails that will suit your taste. The place is usually crowded so try getting there early."

The food is fresh, vegetarian options are available and use of Japanese ingredients. You can choose between the 3 bentos 'of the day' (meat, fish, vegetarian) and large salads. The deserts are also delicious. The space is quite long with many tables bordering the large windows. It tends to get pretty busy so it’s probably best to get there early or try to book a table."

"Popelini, Nord Marais by Say What Studio. A charming little pastry shop offering refined cream puffs in several original flavors. Flaky, buttery and light, filled with a variety of flavored creams (vanilla, coffee, lemon, praline...) with a dollop of icing on top. They are very light and tasty, a good ratio of creme to pastry. The shop is quite small, but once you enter it all you see is the beautiful pastries, wrapped in beautiful lush as gems, they also provide a real alternative to macarons if you want to taste something different."

"Le Marché des Enfants Rouges, Nord Marais by Say What Studio. One of the oldest covered markets in France, an absolute must. It’s nested behind a row of buildings, so you could easily miss the arched entrance to this nearly 400 year-old farmers market. But once you walk in, it’s a wonderland of all sorts of savory treats. You can find lots of stands serving food from different cuisines, Moroccan, Italian, Japanese, Lebanese... At lunch time the sights and smells are intoxicating: from the falafel and shawarma sandwiches available at the Lebanese vendor; to the tender lamb tajine and couscous in the exotic Moroccan corner. Everywhere you go the delicious smell of food will get you enchanted. The market also offers produce from fresh vegetables, to fruit, flowers and cheeses, it’s always worth a walk."

"Le Barav, Nord Marais by Say What Studio. Le Barav is a great wine bar with personality, yet simple. The team is friendly and passionate. The wines come from the cellar right next door where you can choose any kind of bottle, it’s then which is simply added to your tab. You can even bring your own wine, in which case there is a 5 euro corking fee. It’s also worth knowing that if you don’t finish your bottle, you can take it to go. The service is great and you get very good advice to help you choose the wine. The delightful spot has an excellent selection of charcuterie and cheese plates and the other dishes are to die for. Unfortunately booking is not available and the place is packed on the busy days of the week, so get there on the early side."

"Ob-La-Di, Nord Marais by Say What Studio. Located in a small and charming street, Ob-La-Di is a very cozy little coffee shop just a step away from the main street. It offers great breakfast with authentic and homegrown food (avocado French toast, scones, yogurt with granola, berries...) and the coffee is excellent as well. There sitting arrangements inside are very limited but the place is decorated with taste: beautiful Mediterranean inspired white and blue tiles, wood, small tables and large stools, a large mirror, fresh flowers and a row of home-made apricot jam jars."
