Zinqué is a sunny West Hollywood bistro dishing out French comfort foods like tartines and bowls, perfect for casual catch-ups over chilled wine.
"Zinque—excuse us, Zinqué—is one of those West Hollywood restaurants that endures wild swings in popularity for no reason, especially since it’s always been mediocre. Come here after work and drink some room-temperature white wine with a spiraling coworker on the patio, and you’ll be fine. Come here for an actual dinner and you’ll discover a restaurant that, despite being open for over a decade, is still dealing with first-week hiccups. The chances of you receiving your food in under an hour (or within a half hour of everyone else at your table) is low, so just stick to the chardonnay. Your pilot season anxiety needs it more than a bowl of arugula and purple rice anyway." - brant cox

"This sunny French bistro on Melrose doesn’t serve the best lunch in West Hollywood. It’s not even the best lunch on the block. But if you need to spiral with a friend over a bottle of white wine on a Wednesday afternoon, Zinqué is heaven. It’s walk-in only, there’s plenty of shade, and the various tartines and rice bowls do what they’re supposed to: fill you up so you can drink more wine. If you’re not near Weho, there are five more locations around town from Malibu to Downtown, but this remains Zinqué’s spiritual epicenter." - brant cox
"This chain of fashionable French Californian restaurants has a handy $55 per person dinner deal starting with fried artichokes, burrata with heirloom tomatoes and seasonal fruit, and broccoli soup. Then for the main choose between coq au vin, grilled salmon, or chickpea curry before ending with flourless chocolate cake or tarte tatin. The airy West Hollywood location is quite the scene, but there are outlets in Malibu, Venice, Downtown, and Century City, too." - Matthew Kang
"Special menu for industry workers offering a 10 percent discount Sunday through Thursday after 9 p.m. and Friday to Saturday after 9:30 p.m." - Mona Holmes
