"The Cannibal, Murray Hill Kips Bay by Marcelo Cardoso. This is the kind of place people don't expect to find in Murray Hill:a Belgian gastro-pub with a crazy beer selection, crazy-good food and a super charming rustic garden. To top it off, The Cannibal has an in-store butcher shop to remind you there's a good reason they call themselves that. The food both here and at their attached sister restaurant, Resto, is consistently great."

"This Murray Hill gastropub, set in warm, wood-filled digs, is known for its extensive stock of craft beers and carnivore-pleasing fare. Expect a hearty, meat-centric menu, with dishes like whipped lardo toast, roasted bone marrow, an expansive charcuterie selection, and a large-format options such as pig’s head in General Tso’s sauce. Or, order up an entire lamb or pig for the table, with at least a week’s notice." - Alexandra Ilyashov

"Beer and meat. If your affection for these isn’t typically satisfied by burgers and pitchers of generic IPAs, The Cannibal has options to set you right. Along with some hard to find draught beers, they have over 300 bottled choices. The bar works well for a casual hang with a friend, and there are some good small plates like bone marrow with beef shank ragout. If you come with a group, sit at a picnic table in covered beer garden out back, and share a large format dish like the smoked ribs or the General Tso pig’s head." - Matt Tervooren

Great beer selection with good food pairings. I had the burger and bone marrow - burger was good, not great, while the bone marrow was excellent. It's a little pricey and service can be slow when it's busy, but enjoyed my time here and would go back. The rib eye looked excellent but it takes 45 minutes to cook (as do a few other main dishes) so make sure to plan accordingly if you're interested in those items.

The ambience is great. They have a world wide beer selection that you can purchase if you want to take it home at a discount price. The food is delicious and they create their own homemade mustard. I ordered the hotdog, the shrimp sandwich and the burger. It was great. You can tell from the photos 😍 just amazing.

My wife and newborn daughter enjoyed a wonderful brunch here on a Saturday. They have a covered outdoor seating area which is very quaint. Food was great. Recommend the Bodega Sando and the Dutch Baby from the Brunch menu. Special thanks to our server Max for his attentiveness.

Named in honour of top cyclist Eddy ‘The Cannibal’ Merckx, there is a strange mix of cycling artwork, high-end craft beer, and amazing meat; but it works. While it is definitely not vegetarian paradise, it’s a great little neighbourhood restaurant and bar. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable but the beer is really the star here: there’s a variety of unusual tap options and a stunning selection of bottles and cans inside the entrance walkway fridges. The meat selection trays are always a hit, and no matter what you order, it’s a good idea to share with the table.

First of all l, it's a great name. It's what meat lovers is looking for! We had a large group, almost 20 so we settled on a set menu. The Peking duck was good, and the rib not had. Some meat on the bones would be better. The choices of driving was good, no complaints from anyone . Check out the beer selection in the wall to wall fridge. All in all an interesting place for a group dinner. Service was good.

This was a shot in the dark. The restaurant i originally chose had no AC. Was really looking for a place with cold beers. When i pulled up beer in Yelp search, this was one of the closest places to my original destination. It seemed like a good concept. That was an understatement. It 2 restaurant places in one. 2 separate bars, and 3 seating locations including a backyard. We decided to hit the backyard. The have an interesting menu when it comes to wagyu beef, kielbasas and other meats. The wagyu i had last night was so delicious and even though they gave me a steak knife, i could have used a butter knife. Almost forgot about the other things i had. Had the fries (more like wedges) that was cooked in beef, lamb ft, and one more fat i cannot think now. It was crispy and delicious. The roasted beets were great, the spicy beef jerky, the potato and artichoke plate and the thing that really tipped it off was the bone marrow with the extra bourbon. Yes, after you have the bone marrow, with the delicious toast and seasoned garnish and raddish, you have an option of a shot of bourbon to flow down from the top of the hollwed out bone marrow into your mouth where it picks up the flavor and delivers it to your mouth. Wow, that was an experience. Our waiter was named Ian, awesome guy. The entire wait staff participated and coordinated our meal. It was an unbelievably nice dining experience!

A fantastic place to sit, chat, drink and eat! We are recommended this place by a friend - so glad we took the time to visit. The staff were New York through and through! We were very well looked after despite the fact we had complex drink requirements! :D The beer is second to none and the food is excellent. If I had to make one suggestion for improvement it would the music.... The selection that was playing was, well, kinda cheesy......

The food is great, and drink selection diverse. I tried each of the draughts, including a cider. The food was delicious. The layout is a little unusual, but makes sense for a NYC establishment that has outgrown its roots. We were seated in an area in the back that looked like a converted courtyard. There were fake plants around the edges that I thought added a fun ambiance. It was warm, but there were fans mounted to the overhang/ceiling that made it comfortable. On a really hot day, you would probably want to avoid this area. There are also indoor, and air conditioned areas, but they don't have tables there for larger parties (we were 7). I ordered the flank steak (the steak selection of the day), and the duck fat fries. Pictures attached!
