"The Schwarzenbach storefront is split into three parts, with each section focusing on different types of dry goods, chocolate, and coffee, which staff roast in a window open to the street. One of the storefronts, with two small benches affixed to the window, sells hot chocolate; Schwarzenbach’s offering is a bit milkier than some competitors, with a solid layer of froth on top, and the outdoor seating makes a great spot for people-watching before popping back into the store to pick up a chocolate bar or some tea." - N.A. Really interesting shop in the centre of Zurich old town with a wide array of chocolate, teas, dried fruits and nuts, as well as preserves. The chocolate shop also sells hot chocolate and coffee and seemed to be doing a good trade when we visited. The staff were very helpful and had lots of knowledge on all their products. The other part of the shop with the dried fruits and nuts etc was a hit on the senses!

Great coffee in a cool little chocolate shop. Can see the coffee beams being roasted next door in an open window. Not much of an area to drink there, but can take to go to cool spots near by. Coffee was very good and the service was very friendly.

This place is a gem in Zurich for lovers of nuts and coffee. They offer a wide variety of high-quality nuts and dried fruits, from sweet Turkish apricots to Chinese kumquats. Additionally, the coffee they serve is exceptional. They grind and roast it on-site, ensuring unparalleled freshness and flavor. If you're looking for the best nuts and possibly the best coffee in Zurich, you can't miss this place. Highly recommended!

We visited in October 2024. Surprisingly, it was a disappointing experience. The shop is stunningly beautiful and captivates you with its variety. There are numerous chocolate brands from around the world, and you feel compelled to try them. On the positive side, the handmade chocolate truffles are INCREDIBLY delicious. The Tonka Vanilla might be the best I’ve ever had in my life. That said, we bought about 40 items, and fewer than 5 were genuinely tasty. The rest were rather disappointing: for example, a chocolate with coffee that had crunchy coffee beans stuck in your teeth instead of a smooth coffee flavor. Another one had apple, but instead of being evenly distributed, there was a single huge piece of apple in the entire bar, which was hard to bite into properly. And so on. My advice: don’t buy multiple chocolate bars from the same brand without trying one first to see if you like it. We also ordered hot chocolate, but it was outright bland—watery, lacking depth and aroma. I finally decided to write this review after having hot chocolate at a random restaurant in my city, which turned out to be much better.

Many specialty grocery stores exist, but this is your best option if you're into tea, coffee, dried fruits, or chocolates! The store is roughly divided in half. Facing the building, the right half is dedicated mostly to tea and dried goods with a few other items thrown in. The left half sells specialty chocolate bars and coffee. If you're from the states you'll find those chocolate bars and other items surprisingly cheap. It's worth browsing just to see and smell the selection of this classic shopping choice. Staff is helpful and does speak English.

We came across the tee cafe on our walking tour of Zurich old city. After the tour we went back and enjoyed some famous hot chocolate. It is an institution to visit for chocolate lovers !!

Stumbled upon this place during a walk through the old town, and so glad I did. Just glorious; an old-style store with beautiful displays and a wonderful selection of spices, teas, and other specialty items. Beautifully appointed store, too, with some old style furnishings and decorations. I wanted to stand and take 100 photos but tried not to get in the way :)
