Tucked away behind unmarked doors in Old San Juan, La Factoria offers a lively labyrinth of craft cocktails and eclectic vibes from cozy speakeasy to dance floor.
"If you are looking for a bar with great cocktails, a laid back “trashy-chic” atmosphere, keep your eyes open or you might miss it. On the corner of San Sebastian and San José St. a sign that says “Hijos de Borinquén” points to "La Factoria”. Cocktails are delicious and if you are hungry, a door next to the bar leads to “Vino”, another secluded bar with a great selection of wines and delicious food. A third door leads to another bar where live music is played. You can spend the evening there, jumping from bar to bar to bar" - Ana Jovane Serrano
"Dancing until someone says, “whoa, how is it after 2am?” is one of the best ways to experience the nightlife of Old San Juan, and La Factoria is where you should do it. There are six different bars inside, and each has its own menu and plays different music, including a dancehall that has live salsa on Sundays and Mondays. Start at the front, take a shot of tequila, and explore them all until it’s way past your bedtime." - adriana silva
"An Old San Juan stalwart since its opening in 2013, La Factoria has expanded in the years since into an institution, often appearing on the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars. It is still a go-to for its lavender-infused take on a Moscow mule; the La Champeta, with Don Q Añejo rum, pineapple, and fermented ginger; and the Garibaldi Criollo, where Campari is infused with acerola, a Caribbean cherry. If wine is desired, Vino, right behind the main bar, provides a selection." - Paulina Salach Antonetti, Alicia Kennedy
"La Factoría from San Juan, Puerto Rico, is scheduled to be featured in The Roystone's first pop-up next month." - Erin Russell
