Came to grab some gelato to cheer myself up but ended up feeling so happy because of the super friendly staff. I got lucky sitting near the gelato maker, and he let me try some of his freshly made gelato—so good ✨

Consistently some of the best gelato you'll try anywhere. The core range is always good but the rotating weekly specials are a must try. Some of the flavours get very creative but even the simplest are always on point. All ingredients are made in house and they have a selection of sauces and toppings etc to take home which are great to have in the pantry to elevate store bought icecreams.

Went here for dessert and was taken care by one of the nicest staff couldn’t manage to get his name but allowed us to try different flavours without any judgement at all. We got 3 scoops , coneception , tiramisu and banging on peters drum (their weekly special) and honestly can say i can never get tired of the tiramisu just look at the layer of lady finger that is in there it was not too heavy and the flavours did not get boring at all.

Another great Gelateria in Melbourne.. So many unique flavours to choose from, packed with flavour & chunky ingredients. Each week they have special flavours to try which are always interesting & delicious. I had the praline pistachio which was packed with nuts but not overly flavoursome & the tiramisu which I was also a little disappointed in as it wasn’t bursting with the tiramisu / mascarpone / coffee flavours. The service was good - like most ice cream shops - limited seating inside the store. Definitely worth the visit, if in the area 🍨 Buonissimo 😋

ORDERED: 🍦 Pistachio Praline ($6.27) for one scoop in a cone REVIEW: My favourite flavour at Messina, the pistachio praline does me right every time. A caramelised clump brings texture, with the perfect amount of nuttiness coming through. It's addictive, and if you like pistachios normally - you'll love the ice cream version. Was able to taste a little before I committed to the Pistachio. Super helpful to take advantage of trying different flavours so you don't get regret, and they're happy to cater for a couple of tries! Seating is limited, similar to their other locations. Nonetheless, Messina is a classic option and great option for an easy dessert.
