Fushimi Williamsburg

The management team and the servers always provide outstanding service. You never feel unwelcome here, in fact it's like going a family house for dinner in many ways. I feel they go out of their way to make you feel at home, and their food is consistently good and fresh. The ambiance is subdued with nice music playing overhead and it's a great place to bring a date or have a group dinner. Yesterday I saw a group of maybe 30 people come in without reservations and although it took a few mins, they were able to set them all together towards the front of the dining area!!! That was a feat! Their menu is quite big and they also have sushi chefs preparing the fresh sushi. All their sushi taste high grade without any imperfections. They also have great bartenders that make excellent drinks. I would definitely come in during happy hour. You will not regret it. We were a nice group of people and everyone enjoyed the food, service and amenities Fushimi. They are professionals!!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and while it had its moments, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. We ordered two entrees, two appetizers, two desserts, and two cocktails for $150. While the food was decent, I couldn’t help but feel that the prices were a bit steep for what we received. They also charge $8 for bottled water, which felt excessive, especially considering the already high price of the meal. The tip was included, but the service still felt a little off. The biggest downside was the service. The staff seemed overly eager to clear our table, almost to the point of rushing us. Every time we took a bite, it felt like someone was standing by, waiting to take our plates away. We hadn’t even been there an hour when this started, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. The staff was attentive, but it came across as more of a pressure to move us along rather than a desire to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our meal. On a positive note, the drinks were fantastic, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s definitely a place that prioritizes aesthetic, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the hype or the price tag.

The food was delicious, the tuna was fresh, the rice was greatly seasoned, and the potatoes with red wine sauce were some of the best potatoes I’ve ever had. And because it was my birthday I got free ice cream. Would totally go back again.

I don’t even know where to begin! I absolutely love this restaurant, every detail and thing about it. The food is seriously an 11/10. I wish they had this restaurant in San Francisco! Highly recommend getting a Lychee Martini, one of the best ones I’ve had in NYC thus far. I wish I could’ve tried the whole menu because it’s seriously that good but these were some of my favorite dishes (see the photos). Peep the bathroom, just the coolest spot ever with great music too!

Was first introduced to this place because we had our end-of-the-year staff party here (Drinks aren’t that strong). Then a few of us decided to come back here a few more times because the bar food was delish! Another time we decided to “dine in” not at the bar, but then we quickly moved to the bar because the food selection was better. We loved the spicy tuna hand roll as it was flavorful and packed with spicy tuna! Then we also had to get the spicy tuna crispy rice because we get that every time we come here. See a pattern? Haha we sure do love our spicy tuna! Of the two, I’d def recommend the crispy rice over the hand roll. Spicy, crunchy, chewy, and bite size! Could easily eat like 10 of them. The Baja fish tacos were good but more of like 3/5 stars good. It lacks a bit of flavor, and presentation wise- looks like a child could put it together. The wings though, while the photos don’t make it look that great, were actually pretty decent! Solid 4 out of 5, but this is from someone who absolutely loves wings and judges them with high standards! I loved the peppery taste of them, and they were crispy and juicy. I’m glad they didn’t absolutely smother it with sauce. Also love that they were all flats instead of including the drumettes. Overall, would come back for drinks and bar food! Staff are also friendly and attentive. Interior looks clean, spacious, and vibrant!

I had an amazing experience at this sushi place! The service was exceptional—everyone was so nice, friendly, and even funny, which made the visit that much more enjoyable. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. I actually went with my best friend to celebrate her birthday, but I’m already planning to come back with my man! While it’s a family-friendly spot, I think it might be a bit loud for kids, and unless they’re old enough to enjoy sushi, I’d recommend leaving them at home for a nice night out—just like I did! Overall, a fantastic spot for great food, great vibes, and great company. Highly recommend!

I’ve gone here several times and always had a pleasurable experience. However, last night was horrible. The waitress immediately had an attitude the entirety of our dinner. I ordered vegetable tempura rolls, and none of the veggies were fried… they were cold and mushy (see photo). The manager came over to tell me that’s always how they’ve done their veggie tempura rolls, but I literally have a photo from my last visit of the same dish but with fried veggie tempura. It was rude and felt like he was gaslighting me. Horrible service and terrible way to treat a returning customer. He caused a scene in front of other guests. Will not be coming back. A part of me believed it had to do with race… I’m half black and half asian and guess where they sat us… in the dark corner in the back of the restaurant.

First time here and it won’t be my last time. I came to celebrate a friends birthday and it was an amazing time. We had a hostess named Elaine who was very cordial and attentive to our needs/orders. She was very engaging, and suggested some very good drinks along with food options. The food was amazing. We got the shrimp fried rice, dragon and mummy rolls, fried duck and other items. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the food. Drinks were amazing, we had 3 rounds each topped with birthday green tea shots from Elaine for our friends. Atmosphere was amazing, and intimate. The music was not too loud so we were able to converse and enjoy each others company. I had an amazing time and will definitely be back.
