Mama Shelter Los Angeles Hollywood

Hotel · Hollywood

@infatuation

"Even with all the flashier Hollywood rooftops like Bar Lis and Desert 5 nearby, the best of the bunch remains Mama Shelter. This spot perched atop the hotel of the same name has been around since 2016—ancient history in Hollywood rooftop world—but still strikes the optimal balance between strong cocktails, great views, and a semi-local crowd that’s down to get weird. On weeknights, the scene is mostly Netflix employees drinking sangria as quickly as possible, but on Saturday afternoons, expect to find seasoned weekend athletes, the kind only trained for sipping frozen slushies, eating decent fish tacos, and falling asleep on one of the day beds." - Brant Cox
