Where Thanksgiving Is the Busiest Day of the Year | Eater NY

"Michael Anthony, the restaurant's executive chef, says that Thanksgiving service, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., is the busiest day of the year, even though the restaurant only opened for the holiday three years ago. “It is incredible, really. The turnout is amazing,” he said. For staff, the restaurant does an extended family meal with a snack bar that’s replenished with lunch, afternoon snacks, and early dinner. And yes, it’s been fully booked since reservations went live. As to why it’s so packed more than, say, on Christmas, he said, “I think we’re seeing more and more families go out instead of staying home for Thanksgiving. People don’t necessarily want to cook big dinners — whether it’s because they don’t have the time or space.”" - Melissa McCart
