"Set to open in October atop the Culver City Platform, I expect a sunny all-day stunner: the long-awaited rooftop from owner Rohan Talwar above Hayden that’s been carefully detailed with lots of art, floral touches, marble tabletops and — incredibly — a signature scent from Le Labo and Diptyque. Noted designers Thomas Schoos and Lisa Gill laid out the space with Shawmut handling construction. Norah’s team remains intact, including chef Michael Williams, general manager John Snowden, and bar director David Kupchinsky; there will be a full bar and abundant lounge seating. The evening menu leans toward seafood with a raw bar and strong Spanish and Italian influences, alongside pastas, large-format meats and plenty of vegetables, while daytime offerings will include takeaway focaccia sandwiches. The venue should seat roughly 70 inside plus about 80 on the outdoor deck, with plans for future DJs, live music and movie nights and the bar open until 1 a.m., with an opening expected in October." - Farley Elliott
