Korean Food in New York

Really good Korean food, like someone's mom who is really good at cooking made dinner.

Same as Take, food is significantly better than you would think it would be for a place where people go to binge drink. - grilled pork belly - seafood soup with crispy rice - brisket fried rice

Definitely the worst named place on this list, in the space formerly occupied by a "club", this is Korean BBQ and owned by the same people who own Soju Haus and is actually pretty good.

Pork focused Korean bbq (and other things), kind of in a weird location but still v good.

Slightly influencer coded, but honestly still v good to me. The gimmicks kind of work.

This 불고기 or marinated Korean beef is really good and I don't love most marinated/sauced beef. - both beef dishes - pork belly - green onion pancake - cold noodles

A more chill, modern, and FOB-y take on Korean food, lots of like pretty young people here.

It's quasi controversial, but I think this 짜장면 is better than any of the other ones in New York. - black bean noodle - seafood soup noodle (짬뽕) - fried beef with sauce on the side (탕수육)

This one is less hip, but honestly still pretty good, like the other ones, it's as much meant for drinking as it is for eating, and not in a bad way!

Easy and good Korean BBQ

An exceptionally good tasting menu that is high end but not in a bad way. Probably the most interesting Korean food in New York at this moment.

Easy and slightly more expensive Korean BBQ, also with great 냉면.

Relatively new, low key kind of expensive, but probably (as of rn) the most well considered Korean BBQ? It feels like the best Korean BBQ restaurant that you would find in a smaller suburb outside of Seoul.

Maybe my favorite restaurant on this list at this current moment. Also, just a tasting menu.

A 24-hour Korean BBQ option that is solid, but not a place I would go to in a non-late night situation. (Not to say you couldn't, but, like, I don't.)

I don't like intestine, but I think this intestine is really good and there's a great fried rice they make as well. I can only eat this like once a quarter.

Probably the best Korean fried chicken in the city at this moment.

Aslo, there is a BBQ chicken (the name of the brand, it's not actually bar-b-que flavored) inside of this H Mart that I think is as good as any Korean fried chicken in New York.

A little random, but this Hawaiian/Korean hybrid in the East Village is one I just enjoyed eating at.
