That said, when we went to Tapanju this week, it seemed like everyone was still sharing the same chicken wings and color-changing beer towers they’re known for at their Midtown spot. And you should do the same. The food isn’t the best, but the place is an overall fun spot for your coworker’s going away dinner that you planned last-minute. "Much like Turntable Chicken Jazz in Midtown, eating at the East Village location feels like you’ve accidentally crashed multiple birthday parties. There’s a wall covered in vinyl records, a (maybe fake) DJ booth, and likely several big groups sharing chicken wings and a color-changing beer tower. The menu is a mix of vaguely Korean small plates like miso mac & cheese or korean BBQ pork, but we advise you stick with the soy garlic fried chicken.
