"Yoga 213, Richmond by Shelby De Fazio. Stepping through the doorway of Yoga 213 you immediately leave the bustle of Swan St behind you. Climbing up the vibrant yellow staircase a grand portrait of the man himself, Biggie greets you at the landing. Natural light floods in through huge floor to ceiling arch windows onto a beachy Zen retreat that simply makes you exhale in relief. The airy space is styled with leafy greens and pineapple paraphernalia leading your eyes to large doors that invite you into the spacious yoga studio. Yoga 213 is like no other; its unique approach is innovative and refreshing, combining music and hip-hop with Yoga. The studio offers a variety of classes to get down to and has also recently launched an apparel label that goes hand in hand with their fresh approach to the practice."

Beautiful studio, welcoming aesthetic, tea post class and lots of delightful plants. The teachers are fabulous, each with their own style. Knowledgable and supportive. Have loved all the classes I have taken here. It can get pretty hot in the studio. Flow, chill, hip hop and sound mediation. Perfect!

My second home... almost! A really beautiful studio and always welcoming! I started at the Geelong studio and this studio has truly built a community. Mats are provided and cleaned by yourself after class. Session times are also decent with a mix of levels provided. I also love that they have showers for those in between work. Now... what really drew me to the place was their hip hop music paired with yoga! No, you don’t twerk, just a beautiful vinyasa flow with amazing teachers! It’s my 6 month on my yoga journey and it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for this place xx

Amazing class! Loved the music - still calming and practical for yoga but not boring spa music. The instructor was very good and gave great cues.

Absolutely beautiful space, but also the most cramped yoga class I have ever been. Limit your class sizes people, seriously.

Yelp
Don't you hate it when a scrub hollers at you from the passenger side of his best friend's ride? Well there's none of that but plenty of catchy beats in a hip hop yoga class at Yoga 213. I am all for 'what the?!' weird and wonderful fitness combinations and was eager to get my downward (Snoop) dog on when in Melbourne. With 3 studios to choose from, I arrived for a 6.30am class in Richmond without an online booking, but the mats did quickly fill up. We transitioned through an energising vinyasa flow to the likes of Drake and other hip hop masters, from slow and soulful to lyrical and fun. To be honest - it wasn't as vigorous or LA cray cray as I imagined, it was actually quite spiritual and breath-focused, with hip hop music just adding to the class ambience. I imagine the evening classes might me more high energy party party - which I would give a go. The studio is clean, bright and airy - and the concept definitely lends itself to yogis who like to add some music flavour to their practice.

Yelp
Way too over packed. I think a limit should be set as there was no space between mats. Soft spoken teachers without a mic was a problem but a nice atmosphere, sadly not amazing yoga to match the vibes. Also the staff was not down to earth and no help/ confusing.
