"This is a great concept that only the brave would attempt. There are two daily set menus to choose from, for example a fish/meat menu (four courses for CHF 89) and a vegetarian menu (four course for CHF 77). Alternatively, if you are not that hungry you can choose any item off either menu. The menu design is modern and the cuisine sophisticated. The ingredients are superb that is, local, fresh, organic and delicious. The ambience is relaxed and the staff is super friendly, which all makes for a great experience for the customer." - Saloon

- Michelin Inspector

Zurich remains a place for really new restaurants! It may be a star or new conception. Place worth a visit, very interesting wine list with natural and biodinamic bottles from around Switzerland and Europe. Chief and team created an interesting menu.

Very nice! The place is cozy and the girl from the service is super kind and knows how to recommend a good wine. To be honest, from a Michelin star's restaurant I was hoping in something better, the food is very good but nothing that's sounds like "wow".

We had a wonderful dinner night here! All the dishes we tried were prepared with creative ingredients and the taste was just incredible! We enjoyed all the dishes from start to finish and also the wine pairing was simply astonishing! Our favorite dish was by far the pasta with topinambour and the wine pairing there was really something else. Overall a great experience and for a good price! I definetely recommend!

Enjoyable dinner with good quality dishes. The main dish based on topinambur was especially good. However, there are several aspects to improve. The service was a bit slower than expected and a bit too pushy in suggesting to get wine. They should have a larger room, because it was too loud due to the amount of people. I could barely hear the person in front of me. Unlike other Michelin restaurants, we had to ask to refill the bread dish and they didn't offer the traditional amuse buche.

Super delicious, nice friendly Staff & great Chefs. We had the surprise 4 Course Vegetarian Menu and it was fantastic. Alcoholic & non alcoholic drink suggestions where on point. Thank y’all for this great dinner experience. - Cinderella H.

Tasty dishes based on local Swiss produce. If having to choose between the meat and fish servings, we would go for the trout, which was very nice. The acoustics in the restaurant are surprisingly good.

We arrived early at 18:00 when the restaurant was still empty, which was a great decision. We started with sardines& sourdough bread and a nice cocktail with cedar sprout, grape juice and something bubbly. We chose a 4 course menue& were surprised with cooked reedbeet& horseradish, pork chop in a berhoney sauce with apple vinaigrette, whole wheat pasta with topinambur mousse& chips, bacon, coffee dressing, best quince sorbet with an cream cheese foam& pumkin seed croquant. Loved everything!

Very mixed bag. Loved the warmth of the chef and the vibe of the place, but the service from the female host was so far off from what it should be from pouring different wines in the same glass to leaving bottles on the table while serving other tables, it was a major put off. Food was mediocre, some dishes were tasty but overall really simple food and a very underwhelming wine selection. Bread is charged and no amuse bouche. Hard to understand the star awarded here. But outside of that the service needs a LOT of improvement. Big shame!

Yelp
Came here on a weekend evening a few minutes after they opened. Would recommend making a reservation because it gets full fast! We got a seat, had our coats taken, and the waitress explained to us that there's a set menu. For drinks, my friend got a unique wine and I got a non-alcoholic fruity berry drink that I quite enjoyed. For the cold appetizer, we could have sardines but since I don't like sardines, we got bread and olive paste instead. The bread was super soft and olive paste was tasty. As for the warm appetizer, I opted for the meat starter and my friend got the vegetarian one - the meat starter had fish and it was delicious. Light, melted in my mouth, really awesome. The next dish was a combination of different vegetables, and there were some vegetables in there that I don't think I've had before. There was a pasta dish as well, great combination of flavors with tomato and cheese. Dessert was great too, a cake with raspberry. I loved every dish and the experience here; really friendly service, easy-going but upscale-y ambiance. Food is locally grown and sourced, and I like the preset menu (don't need to make any choices!). Meal was pretty pricey though at almost $300 for two.
