We want to thank the W Hotel Brickell for making our stay in Brickell/Downtown Miami so fabulous. We also wanted to thank Harrison(front desk manager) and the whole front desk staff or making my daughters birthday weekend so special & memorable. The Marvelous Suite was Huge & we loved the big balcony overlooking all of Miami. The staff was friendly & helpful. Love the coffee at Panther in the Lobby. You can walk to all the cool, hip spots in Downtown Miami which was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

What an awesome stay!!! We live in Palm Beach County and often go to Miami for the weekend. I am usually super disappointed with the hotels in this area. This was such an awesome change! When we entered the hotel valet was kind and efficient and loved the amount of staff around to control traffic in a very busy area. Once we entered we were greeted promptly at the front desk. We were early so we assumed our room would not be ready but to our surprise not only was our room ready but we were upgraded! The room was spectacular and so clean and just all around beautiful. We explored a bit and the pool area was beautiful as well although we didn’t really have a chance to use it. Our biggest shout out goes to the engineering team!!! We had an issue with our water being cold. We called the front desk to ask if someone could come have a look and I assumed it would likely be awhile. The engineers showed up in two second and got right to work and could not have been more apologetic, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Just an all around awesome stay!Wish our stay would have been longer!

We have stayed here multiple times. Great views, and we love the rooms here. We normally opt for the resident portion because we like to have a kitchen. Wholefoods is walkable from here and it is very easy to grab what you need and make meals in the kitchens. While the traffic can be a little annoying, it's still a very optimally located spot. It's easy to get to the bridge to head to South Beach. It's not that far from downtown, and it's not hard to get to Coconut Grove either. Will be back! Make sure you check out the gym / hot tub area. The pool outside is also amazing!

This hotel is so far from W standards it feels like false advertising. I can not believe I’m spending $800+ per night for such an outdated hotel that feels nothing like W quality that I am accustomed to. I should have done my research before coming- the gym and pool are shared with surrounding condo buildings - which is fine, other than they are only open from 9-6pm. There is really no lobby, the hotel is in desparate need of an upgrade - food, rooms, etc ||The best part of the experience was a good shower and air conditioning. ||We felt like we were in a limited service hotel. ||I will be doing my research in the future rather than rely on what has been a trusted brand.

Good location, nice view of Miami city and the water. The tulip restaurant is awesome and the fitness center and heated pools were also amazing. The only downside is the electronic key fobs which doesn’t work sometimes and requires frequent resets.

This hotel is in a great location! Walkable to many cafes, restaurants, shopping and more. The hotel is beautiful and chic in what you would expect Freon the W brand hotel. The breakfast upstairs was delightful and had surprising options which I enjoyed. But one thing was disappointing for me, that’s the reason for the 4 starts… The Valet service is not run by the hotel, and therefore it is not possible to call your car from valet from the room, you have to physically go outside to ask for your car then proceed to wait 20-30 minutes for your car. All this for $50 / day - HOWEVER, there is a catch! If you want to take your car out you will be charged by the hour for that. So, in one night, we were charged over $80 in parking fees and provided with horrible service for the valet. I would not go back to this property again if I had a car. If you are planning to use Uber you won’t have any issues, but driving from the other coast was frustrating.

Was here for the week of Valentine's Day and for the most part everything was great. We were on the 43rd floor and loved the view. Also went in the pool and hot tub a few times. The restaurant in the hotel had a tasty dessert and the restaurants around the hotel were nice as well. Only problem we had was struggling to get the air conditioning to work the first day and ended up having to buy new batteries to replace it ourselves. The air was also shut down for maintenance at some point and it got pretty warm. We also had some confusion with our pets. We said specifically upon arriving we had dogs but then accused of bringing them in unannounced. Overall was still an enjoyable experience, though.

Overall the hotel itself is great, excellent location, comfortable rooms and convenient. The rooms show a bit of wear but even the best hotels do. The morning and early afternoon staff are excellent; friendly and helpful. The evening staff are helpful enough but lack the ability to be observant and listen. We had just returned from a 2 week cruise and had dressed for dinner with 4 course meals every night. Originally we thought we’d just eat at the restaurant on the 15th floor; the music was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. We decided let’s just as the desk of there was a casual Italian place and grab a bowl of pasta or split a pizza. We were in shorts, t shirts and a long sleeve open shirts and sandals. We asked the 3 people at the desk for a “casual” Italian restaurant where we could grab a quick dinner. They said to go to one just a couple minutes walk. When we got there, the “doorman” in a tuxedo gave us one look and asked if we had a reservation? We were obviously under dressed. We decided to just walk around and find something on our own and found a great little food truck that made Italian and it was delicious. When we returned to the hotel the same staff asked how we liked it? We told them what happened and they said they don’t normally do reservations except on weekends “it was Friday night” another piped in that “sometimes cheap food is better than expensive food” and that the one they sent us too was expensive and “maybe we wouldn’t have liked it after all” I told them it had nothing to do with expense and everything to do with casual. If I wanted to put on slacks and a nice shirt We would have walked across the street to capital grill.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our much needed getaway here! The W is situated in Brickell which is the perfect mix of city right on the Biscayne Bay and within walking distance to several destinations, such as Bayfront Park, Brickell City Center, and the Wharf area. The room was spacious and featured a balcony with a great view of Brickell Avenue. Even though it was situated within the city, we honestly didn't hear any outdoor/traffic commotion. I was a fan of the toiletries provided (I believe it was the Skin Regimen brand!) as well. The pool is shared with the residential building attached (the ICON) but there are 3 different pools with a large layout, so it didn't feel too crowded. The gym is also shared with a good amount of cardio machines as well as free weights and weight machines. The front desk was friendly and helpful during our stay. We were always greeted when we entered back in. They were able to accommodate our early check-in and also rang us up to make sure that we liked our room. Since they were going through renovations, we received a $20 daily credit which we splurged at Panther Coffee downstairs (located right in the lobby). We'd definitely consider staying here again when we visit Miami!

Yelp
Disclaimer: I'm mad! Why? You may ask. Because I got to the W Miami at 2am and their emergency alarms were going off right as I was falling asleep (the alarm stated: "this is not an emergency! I repeat. This is not an emergency!"). Then, at 9am, just as I was in a sleep so deep it can best be described as a hypnotic trance, the alarms went off again stating "there is an emergency in the building and you must evacuate immediately using the stairwell." I jumped out of bed, down 14 flights, only to be told it was a false alarm. That being said, I slept deeply because this hotel is luxurious and comfortable. The rooms are NICE! They also include several complimentary waters and gym access. If you miss the gym/spa, you are missing out! The gym is nice, but the pool is amazing. They also have hot tubs and cold plunges, saunas, but not just regular ones. These are the nicest I've ever seen. PS: I'm over the alarms, but if they go off again tonight, we are gonna have to talk.

Yelp
The receptionist at the front was so rude, didn't let me use the restroom. Don't recommend this place!!!! They are the worse service ever!!!

Yelp
Coworker invited me to this Halloween party. She mentioned that last year it was so good and that it was a must to go to this year. The general admission ticket was $40. Did not include a drink just entrance. They have several bars throughout the event and one food stand. The event was nice, but there wasn't enough seating for everybody to sit down for a couple minutes and then get back up to enjoy the party, the VIP section opened up to us after 11pm which was nice to have more space. They also have an outdoor area we can enjoy the beautiful city views overall the party OK the music they had playing was not entirely my vibe. They played Backstreet Boys Britney Spears, some old-school hip-hopand pop. They did eventually play some Latin music like Reggaeton, which was nice no Afrobeats, which was disappointing. set up was nice but I don't think I'll be coming to this event event next year.

Yelp
Our most favorite place! Great customer service, spa and pool and food!! We go every summer and love this place!

Yelp
The lobby is on the first floor. It is small, but well themed. Panther coffee is also located in the lobby area. The person checking us in let us know our room was complementary upgraded from a wonderful room to a spectacular room. He said the wonderful rooms are on a lower floor and do not include a tub. The front desk agent was kind, but seemed somewhat stressed. When we arrived there was no line, but one formed while we were checking in. Trying to make conversation I asked what restaurants he suggested in the area. He said he can't answer that because of the long line but if I come back later he would give me some suggestions. That was an interesting response for the price tag of this hotel. There is a mandatory $20 resort service charge added to every room reservation. This credit can be used toward purchase at Panther Coffee, Addikt, or the in room bar. The amenities are shared with tenants who live in the same building. The infinity pool is phenomenal. Three pools total. One is a kiddie pool, the second one is a HUGE hot tub, and the third one is a long lap pool. The pools are located on the 15th floor with spectacular views. This was the highlight of our stay. We loved the multi level couches located at the end to peacefully soak in the views. The pools close at sunset- 6:30pm during our stay. We used our $20 credit at AddiKT. Restaurant was completely empty and service was extremely slow. You can order food to go which was a plus. Keep in mind that all purchases here include a mandatory 20% service fee. As of January 2024 the spa is under refurbishment. The rooms were huge in size. Loved the two grand doors to the bathroom. Our balcony was facing other buildings, I have read it's best to request a water view if available. However, we loved the city view. Comfortable bed.

Yelp
I normally never books hotels and here's why. I'm paying $600 for one night and they won't even accommodate an early check in after my flight arrived at 6am. Their stupid policy has check in at 4pm. I've never experienced this with Airbnb. With Airbnb you can check in anytime as long as you communicate with the host. I will never use a hotel again, I don't care about extra reward points from a credit card. It's not worth the hassle and inconvenience. I'm spending $600 and can't get a 12 hour stay smh. That's ridiculous. To make matter even worst I just looked for Airbnb in the area and their were half the price I'm paying now and offer early check ins. The W ain't shit.

Yelp
Worst hotel ever - the security and the staff not only argue with you but threatened to take you outside and beat you up. The pool stuff refuses to give you more than one towel. They then lie and try to tell you that you were rude to them and kick you out of the pool. Meanwhile, Security is also telling you that they will beat you up outside. I would never stay here. It's not safe.

Yelp
W Miami Brickell has one of the best hotel pools I've ever had the pleasure of using. Although residents and guests of Icon Condos (located in the same complex as the W hotel) share the pool, it's more than big enough to accommodate everyone. We were also given a gigantic suite based on a complimentary upgrade. I think it was called the marvelous suite? Anyways, the suite had a massive balcony overlooking the Brickell drawbridge and Miami River. They only downside is that there's quite a bit of street noise at night so this hotel is definitely not for light sleepers. N is

Yelp
Great service. The pool is also top notch. The room was clean and the view was stunning. Although not the best W worldwide, definitely among the top ones within the USA. Great location close to top restaurants on Brickell Ave, and a 15 min drive to Miami Beach.

Ted W.

Yelp
If you want even average service or accommodations stay somewhere else. No hangers in the closet, no ice available for in room. Called and requested ice and hangers, they never came. Wall paper pealing off of the walls, toilet didn't flush. The curtains don't seal out the city street lights or morning sun. Coffee shop in lobby sold my pastry to someone else and then gave us spoiled half and half. Stay at a holiday inn if you want a better place.

Christine H.

Yelp
False alarms with deafening announcements through a speaker over the bed about 4-5 times per day and night triggered in the residence apartments next door. No chance for undisturbed sleep. No value for money. Do not stay here for business trips.

Veronica G.

Yelp
This W property is located in the heart of Brickell in Miami. On the day of check-in, we were notified that our room was given away even though we reserved the specific room category and type weeks in advance. I was disappointed as we were celebrating our 7 year anniversary in Miami I wanted to enjoy our stay. The room we received was not thoroughly cleaned and there were personal items from the prior guest left behind. The towels were dingy and had holes while the robes were tattered, torn and shredded. The best things about this property was the location and the pool. Overall, I am disappointed with the experience, and would not recommend or stay at this property again.

Yelp
As an ambassador status Bonvoy member I have been to quite a few resorts. At the W Hotel Brickell I had one of the worst stays yet! The hotel doesn't operate the roof top pool. Not sure why they would have a need for a roof top security manager. The one I encountered had the very worst attitude. A completely unnecessary rude comment was made as I was entering the pool area because I requested a towel after a three minute conversation was going on with another hotel guest entering the area behind me. Apparently they need to be extra careful with guests coming to a roof top pool that they need to make sure each guest is a credentialed guest (the large pool area was practically empty), however they felt the need to keep me, another guest, waiting while they investigated. This was the start. I stayed a short time and decided to go discuss the situation with the hotel manager (because it was pretty offensive). I wasn't able to talk to hotel manager - but the supervisor who was there just told me that they have nothing to do with the pool area. I asked if it could be noted for the GM to get back to me about the situation. After day 4 with no contact from the manager, I left with the thought of never returning there again. They did absolutely nothing to apologize for the poor handling of the situation. Guess that could be how the Bonvoy management feels they should treat their ambassador status members. Super disappointing!!! Would not recommend this hotel at all!

Yelp
Miami got voted rudest city in the US, all you have to do is check in here, and you'll find out why- rude at check in, then you go to pool and they took over, really quick to tell you they are not part of the hotel- can't get more than one towel- my wife got told to slow her roll- you are on our time-we will get you towels when we want- i would never stay here again-

Yelp
You can't miss this building Driving by the first thing you notice is the beautifully sculptured heads looking as if their holding the building. Pulling up there are 2 different valets. One for the hotel side the other for residents. I think this is important to know because when I pulled up there were lots of.cars behind me and Intried to be courteous and pull up more sonwe could all be taken care of. It was then I was told I was in front of the residential side and asked to go back around. I didn't think this was a good first impression but the manager of the valet happened to be there and ran over and actually tookmcare 9f ke and told me it wasn't a problem. That was nice but still kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I mean it was.my.first time here...how was I suppose to know. Anyhow it was my mothers birthday weekend and my stepdad rented here for her until the Monday. I came by on Sunday and checked it out. The pool area on the 15th floor was huge, not deep and there were 2 restaurants, art displays, cool light animal sculptures, etc. Not to mention the rooftop views of the ocean and Miami river. It was really beautiful and windy. There also was a spacious gym, entertainment area, a spa and my favorite, a water lounge. The water lounge had views of the ocean and access to the spa. There were 3 different tugs. Two were different heat temperatures and the third was a cold one. There were dark book shelves against the wall with only.white book.coverings. Place is tre chic and absolutely fabulous. Downstairs had a Panther coffee and loved how this option of coffee was available in the building. The rooms were adorable with the river views. Dark decor with classic furniture pieces. Coffee and tea maker and mini fridge. Private shower but open bath that looks directly to the bed...ooh la la Everything was really nice. ai even walked around back and saw lots of action as there were 2 more restaurants. A slightly nautical true Italian restaurant and a popping Mexican restaurant. You still have those ocean views and plenty of people.just walking around. There's lots to do in this area and it's at a great location. Not to mention there is a memorial for the native Indian bones found near the property..respect! Area is great and close to much so a stay here is a great for sunny mornings, boat ride afternoons, and luxury dining in the evening.

Yelp
I would give this property ZERO stars if possible. I'm a Titanium Elite member and I've never been treated so poorly at a Marriott property in my life. Considering switching away from Marriott after this experience. Front desk staff and management were extremely rude and pretentious. Ended up leaving after 1 night b/c the room was old and dingy and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Charged a full night early departure after moving to another Marriott across the street. BEWARE booking at this property. NEVER AGAIN!

Yelp
Stayed Here on a business trip, and I had other booking options, but I chose to stay here because of the "W". From the lobby, to the restaurant and pool lounging area, to the spa and fitness section-- it's all gorgeous and upscale. It feels like a "W" should feel. And then you get to the rooms. It felt like I had been catfished. I was first placed in a "wonderful" category room. First off, the aesthetic is hideous. It makes me feel like it's a blast back to some very olden past. If that past is the aesthetic of the entire hotel, ok. But that isn't the case here-- the entire hotel (NOT including the rooms) looks like a page out of an up-to-date spa resort. Second, the first room I was placed in had dust *caking* the walls, lamp shades, curtain rods. There was dirt in the corners of the marble floored bathroom as if someone kept taking broom to the center and ignoring the edges. The phone had grime in the receiver. Five star what?!?! So I was moved to the "Spectacular " category. This one was cleaner, but still, wall paper peeling and brown spots on the ****aqua blue***** wall paper, grime in the phone receiver. Again, five star who???? It's insane to me how the rest of the hotel is so beautiful and well kept and the rooms are so hideous and not well kept. It's insane to me that this is even an issue at a "five star hotel". It seems to me that it makes most sense to make sure people are most comfortable in the places they have to be most vulnerable. If you don't care and just need a place for the night-- then by all means, overpay to stay here. But if you want to feel comfortable in a place where you will be vulnerable-- this isn't it. This review is so you all aren't lured by the "W" and make the same mistake I did. You're welcome in advance. Also-- why are there carpets in hotels in 2023. If you cant and don't clean it regularly, It's disgusting. Especially at a "five star hotel" P.S: just remove the wall paper already, it's trying to come off on its own anyway. To give a complete review- the staff I interacted with during my stay were all kind and helpful. From the restaurant and pool staff, to the spa and fitness staff, to the front desk and valet staff, they were all wonderful. One memorable experience was Alex of the valet staff, who waited with and checked on me often as I waited for my morning Uber. He was simply a sweetheart and a breathe of fresh air. However, the rooms made me feel so disgusting that those experiences could not overcome in the grand scheme of things.

Anthony H.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about the W Miami. The amenities, staff, and location are exactly what you're looking for in any stay where you're home away from home. This is the only place I'll stay when in Miami.

Jade J.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the W hotel in Miami. Upon arriving, they gave me a master suite with a balcony and two bathrooms. The view was absolutely incredible of the water. The cleaning service was very high quality and I loved the rooftop pool. I swear I would stay here again just for the views you can get of Brickell and Brickell key from the top of the W hotel. Overall, great service, comfortable bed, and impeccable views. Would give this place a higher than five star rating if I could.

Chuck P.

Yelp
We arrived at the W and were disappointed to learn there was a problem with our reservation. The front desk (more like back alley) person, a failed cloning experiment of Kim Kardashian, we hostile, rule, and extremely unhelpful. She refused to offer any help for adding a second night to the reservation. It wasn't for lack of rooms it was simply willfully poor attitude and a complete lack of service. The room itself was nice, a King, Corner suite. It lacked some ammenties for a suite in general. The person who "helped" us gave a the lowest floor with no view, clearly a deliberate action. Miami depends on tourism, this hotel is getting dated. They would do well to evalulate their employees and to elminate the underperformers, the lazy, and the rude. I'd recommend avoiding this place enitrely.

Sebastian J.

Yelp
The W Miami is a great property (nice rooms, awesome large infinity pool) with awful service. A few of the things that are not W-worthy: - I'm a Bonvoy Gold member and asked for an upgrade during check-in. The front desk agent's response was that "we don't provide upgrades." Mind you that on the app, every single room category was still available to book for the dates of my stay. That's absurd. - In-room dining in theory is available from 5-10pm. I tried calling from 9:30-10pm trying to order some food. Nobody picked up the phone. - The pool staff is very rude. It almost feels like they're not part of the hotel. Couldn't make you feel any less welcome.

Joe D.

Yelp
Like all W hotels, the place is self-consciously hip. It's a bit of a traffic nightmare, even in an Uber, so allow extra time for just getting in and out. Even walking in the area can be a human traffic jam on weekend nights in high season. This is part of the ICON complex at Brickell and 5th St. They all share the same driveway (hotel tower, 3 condo towers and a handful of famous restaurants). That one communal driveway is a choke-point and a peculiar design mistake. The building, like the other ICON buildings, is a glass box on top of 3-story-tall monolithic columns meant to resemble Easter Island face sculptures. The faces aren't quite distinct enough so it is sometimes jokingly referred to as "perched atop the dog-poop-like columns"...Arquitectonica designed the buildings. Staff is a bit too high-style for their own good. Edgy does not equal attitudinal, and this is basically a Sheraton with flashier, ironic ain't-it-cool decor. Rooms are as expected. Your view might be the river, might be Biscayne Bay, might be sunsets over the skyline or it might be the windows of another ICON complex tower roughly 100 feet away. It pays to make certain which view you face at the front desk which side (LOL, if close range to other buildings, use the loaner bathrobe). The public spaces are sleek and beautiful. Interior decoration makes up for the somewhat odd exterior: plain glass box perched on the odd brown blob columns. However there are better deals and friendlier places with easier logistics in the neighborhood.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Stay somewhere else!!!!!, this hotel shouldn't be called a 5 stars hotel customer service is horrible. I had to cancel my reservation at arrival because they wouldn't give me the room I requested and I had my 2 little kids with me. I ended up going to the Ritz.

Melanie F.

Yelp
At $540 a night (wtf?) you're better off in an airbnb with zero amenities. Stayed in 908. SO MUCH STREET NOISE. Zero peace. Wallpaper peeling off, broken dresser, lamp with a broken shade, flickering creepy bathroom sconces with an obvious wiring issue. I had to ask the staff on day 1 of our stay to clean off about an inch of dust from the bathroom fan. Looked like a fur-creature living on the bathroom ceiling. Ugh. And that's just regarding the crappy outdated king room. Firstly: The W doesn't even own the pool or spa they so brazenly advertise. W guests are forbidden on the pool deck after sunset! Found out the hard way guests are also not allowed to simply carry luggage across the pool area to the spa EVEN if you're still paying ($400 for 2 massages) for the spa services. Lest we forget the absolutely psycho of a towel guy who literally screamed at my husband & me when we were making our way peacefully to our massages due to said UNWRITTEN zero-signage baggage rule. He also told us to SHUT UP when we told him we were just going to the spa. Fun/peaceful vibes right? No. Naturally I asked the W staff what the problem is with the shitty staff at the pool deck, and the W staff pawned off ALL blame onto a company called Icon (the actual owners of the pool/spa) What in the hell? Don't waste your hard earned $. This whole place needs a serious renovation and the perfume in the lobby almost choked my husband and me. Stay somewhere else.

Alex J.

Yelp
Don't do it... I would rather stay at ANY other hotel than this location.... As others mentioned.... This is DEFINITELY NOT a 5 star hotel worthy of the W brand name... Marriott should take this property off their website... it's a total joke... Completely unorganized and rude staff... no room service, restaurant on rooftop told us the kitchen was out of service, gym and pool was also closed .... So basically we had zero amenities... would have been better off at an Airbnb.... This hotel is part of a residential condo building so the valet and restaurant and other amenities are not provided by the hotel so they have ZERO quality control.... Valet extremely rude and ghetto and they are not Marriott staff.... So they don't care about their customers experience .... Felt like a nightmare .... Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere .... We checked out early and will be requesting a refund

Jeanni J.

Yelp
As a frequent travel, I have never received the awful treatment I received at W Miami. It was so upsetting on so many levels. I will stick to the objective first, then get into what felt extremely personal. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM EST. It occurred well after 5:30 PM EST. There was no sense of urgency from the staff at all whatsoever. There where some empty apologies however and a definite empty promise to provide a $100 credit for myself and my partner to enjoy due to the inconvenience. I will get back to that later... As we waited quite a long time (over 1.5 hours as I noted above), we were taken to the bar, told our drinks would be compensated. Instructed to enjoy the property, tour it and relax, until our room could be prepared. We tried - I promise. We were stopped by pool staff, told we needed a wristband (you need a room key to gain access, we had no room key, as we had no room), we went back to lobby to talk with the hotel concierge staff, we were told we did not need a wristband just a room key, which they could assign without a room. They did. We went back up to the bar and pool to try to enjoy and make the best of things. We were once again accosted and harassed this time by hotel security about this wristband. We explained to security that we had room keys and were told this was all we needed by the concierge staff (apparently no one talks to each other). He did not want to hear us, he insisted on escorting us off the pool grounds to get a wristband. The look on my partner's face haunted me the entire trip, he was so upset and I heard him whisper how embarrassed and humiliated he felt (we are Brown people), everyone was staring as we were policed again and again. It was so upsetting. Staff (Sanjit) was apologetic, let us know our room was ready, informed us we would be compensated $100 credit to the bar for our troubles and we should charge services to our room. He leaves us, we go to the room and await our things, which he says will be sent along shortly. We arrive to a room that is in complete disarray. There are half-consumed and empty water bottles on the desk, empty snack wrappers, the bedroom is worse, as the bed is in complete wreck, sheets and blanket bundled up all together, clearly used and visibly soiled, there are soiled sheets on the desk in the bedroom as well, the bathroom is a complete mess, towels on the floor, garbage in the bins, some type of suggestive (paraphrenalia) in the sink. It was so upsetting and overwhelming. We called about the issues and the manager (Michelle) came up, not sure if this was coincidence or what, she had our belongings and we immediately asked her to come in to witness all that we noted. At this point, I am looking at my partner who I planned this romantic getaway for Valentine's Day, as it was his first trip to Miami, and he looks so upset. I will never forget it. I get overwhelmed and begin tearing up. It was bad. We were again led out of the room. Given another empty apology, led once more to the bar and told we would have compensated drinks or bar food, etc. My partner was so upset and frustrated he wanted nothing to do with anything - only to have our room prepared so we could get food and rest, we had been traveling since 6 AM. Another hotel staff (Sanjit) came to us, apologized as he had led us to the wrong room (not his fault), we were led to the correct room, he walked with us and came in to ensure all was well. Great right - the nightmare is over - right? No, very wrong. He notes the thing about the $100 credit to be used anytime on our room and gives us his cell should any further issues arise. My partner in all the fray thought he lost his backpack, which held my laptop in it. I texted, he responded, turns out this was just in our rental car. All good. Nope! Anytime we went to take the rental car out it took over 30 minutes . Once it took about 40-45 minutes. Other days who knows when the car was coming or placed for us to take out, it was like a big secret, as the staff never updated the text messages to let you know the car was there if you did not stand waiting 20, 30, 40 minutes outside watching for it, you just came downstairs and hoped it would be there. It costs like $50+ tips per night to park at the property. Our last day there, I reviewed the bill and noticed everything we charged to the room (~$60 worth of drinks + tips) was billed to us and not compensated. I texted Sanjit, he CONFIRMED that it would be fixed at checkout. We checked out and I told this to the woman at the concierge desk, another staff (a male) person seemed to overhear me saying this and whispered something to her. I have no idea what it was but I know when I reviewed the new bill (sent via email) those charges remained. I was and remain absolutely FURIOUS. We were treated so poorly, with no recognition of our humanity, like we did not matter. We rented a suite, spent over 3K, we were treated like they were housing us as a last minute favor.

Yelp
Cool building with Great views and one of my fav pools in Miami area. The pool food is as expected expensive and not so good but the drinks make up for it. Gets way too packed because they also do Airbnb. Parking is valet ONLY and a disaster, waited for my car more than 30 minutes before several time. If you want a low key and quiet vacation don't come here lol ...

Yelp
I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member and I was super disappointed in the quality of our stay for this hotel is advertised as being a 5 Star hotel and what we experienced was that of a 3 star hotel. The property is beautifully decorated. Modern and classic. But the rooms were Asian Inspired. Ok that's all fine. But then you notice the small details that start adding up and this doesn't make it 5 stars. At check in we were kindly greeted and thanked for being a Gold Elite member. They upgraded us to a Spectacular room which made me happy since I was celebrating my birthday after all. Let's start w my bathroom. Huge bathroom. But the toilet paper was single ply. So cheap. Like come on you could get better quality toilet paper? No robes and no disposable slippers. The carpet was dirty and I didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot at all. The bed sheets were not comfortable at all. The sheets felt bumpy and not smooth. I don't know if it's the mattress or what. The towels were frayed too. But the pool is A+. 5 stars for the pool Overall this is the reason I gave it 2 stars. But I won't be returning here at all. Not worth the money. Sorry

Yelp
By all means DO NOT stay at this hotel. I travel constantly. This property is BY FAR the most disorganized, user unfriendly, nickel-and-dime establishment I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. THE LOWDOWN: The W shares the footprint with a high rise condo complex. It appears that the W has no actual ownership of the building. This means that they are a tenant and have no say in any of the workings within the establishment. This makes the guest a total afterthought Here are a few of the issues: VALET: the valet has nothing to do with the hotel. You can not put the expensive overnight fee on your room. When you pay, you are forced to go to a single credit card payment machine. The machine hardly works and the line is long. The driveway is in total chaos, it's always backed up and there is constant honking (well into the night) People cut each other off trying to get in and out of the valet area. Finally, there is a rule that you can only leave your car in the driveway for 10 minutes before they take it away. This means that if you need to check in... then run back out for a meeting, valets insist that they park your car, then force you to wait 30 minutes for it to be fetched again. Not only did we experience this, but two other people did at the exact same time. People were literally screaming at the dismissive valets. FOOD AND BEVERAGE Even though the restaraunt and bar are in the upper lobby, they have nothing to do with the hotel. This means NO room charges, a $7.00 cup of coffee paid with a separate credit card, ZERO room service. Oh and the hotel generously provides you with a $20 credit to use. But don't try to use it at the pool, the bar, the restaurant, the valet, or anywhere other than your hotel mini bar. So, for my credit I grabbed a small $18 small bag of cashews. How benevolent of them. POOL/SPA/GYM These are all shared spaces. NONE ARE PROPRIETARY TO THE HOTEL. Upon entering the pool, the guard asks for your room number and takes forever to "verify" you before putting a plastic wristband on you (think the lowest of a budget cruise ship), The pool closes at 7pm. Guards make the rounds literally whistling at people shouting for them to leave the area. If you want access the gym and spa from the hotel, you must A) take the hotel elevator to the fifteenth floor B) get a wrist band at the pool C) walk close to five minutes to another building and through a hidden door. D) Take a separate elevator down a floor E) walk through a maze only to be interrogated by another guard insisting on your room number. For admittance. Finally, you can get your workout in. BUT Don't make the mistake of working out past 7pm (even though the spa is open til 10) BECAUSE The hotel locks all the reentry doors back into the property. So you either have to hop a wall and cut through the bar (as I did) OR as my colleague experienced, you are forced to exit through an unmarked door, get locked in a stairwell and walk down fifteen flights of metal stairs. This lets you out at the garage and you must then navigate your way back to the main entrance of the hotel property. ROOM QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY If you are traveling with family or colleagues and you are on different floors, you will NOT be able to meet them on their floor because the key cards ONLY work for the floor you are on. So to meet up, you must go to the top floor, then they have to let you into their floor. My king room appears to have once been quite nice. Sadly, the shower door would not close properly, the water pressure was low and the toilet paper holder was loose, falling off the wall. My room was situated on the valet side of the building so I was perpetually bombarded by horns blowing eternally, as drivers were angry, and caught up in the bottle neck. Bottom line, this property is shameful. The Marriott organization should be ashamed for allowing this location to operate. It is by far, one of the worst large city hotels I have ever stayed in. I leave tomorrow, and cannot wait to evacuate this property. Good riddance.

Yelp
I start with the good things and that's only the area and location where this Hotel is. The rest is definitely not worth it. Unfriendly rude Stuff by the front desk and in the restaurant in the 15th floor too. The whole stuff also seems very bored and not really motivated to make a good service with a smile. The whole Hotel is absolutely overpriced and not worth to stay there. Not a great experience. Never again.

Yelp
Disappointing, not worth the money  I've stayed here 3-4 times a year for the past few years, and it is disappointing to say the least. This hotel should be downgraded from a 5 star. They frequently overbook, leading to no punctual check ins (I was let into my room 1.5 hours after check in) They also took 3 hours to bring up our bags, lost one, and never answered the phone. I had to take 3x for toiletries (came a day later.) A man visiting from abroad who had pre paid checking out was charged twice. The front desk attendant gave an explanation that was so ludicrous it was hard to watch.  Food takes one hour minimum to get to the adddikt restaurant (note it's clear management is understaffing, the people working there and for the most part at the hotel are warm and kind but being run ragged.) They didn't have bloody Marys or mimosas (???)  Finally, good luck getting service at the pool deck. We were there for 3 hours and didn't have one person check in.  I spent 1000/night for 2 star service. I'm sure they'll reply with a generic "we're so sorry and we've passed it along to the appropriate teams" which does nothing. As a titanium elite bonvoy member, will not stay here again.  Cap of the trip- valet yelling at us to move as we loaded our bags (of course did not offer to help at all.)

Yelp
My family and I came here after a horrible stay at the Gabriel up the street. DO NOT GO THERE. This hotel was nice my daughter loved the coffee bar downstairs. We love how they ask how many sets of towels we needed when we called to ask for some. The showers did not flood and the view was nice. Only reason I didn't give a five star is bc of the color choices and the decor. It was too dark for my liking. They should brighten up the place. Take away all the black, update the carpets and update the bathrooms. Other than that k would definitely book again

Yelp
What a fantastic hotel! Amazing staff, beautiful rooms and an espresso machine to boot! We got a mini suite on the 4th floor so it's a little noisy at night but there was a wireless Bose stereo so we put music on. See my photos - decorated gorgeously and a cute balcony too! Love this Hotel!

Yelp
Best place to stay in Miami, they always take very good care of everyone. I definitely recommend staying here

Yelp
I love to travel, and I love the W brand. This has to be the absolute worst W Hotel in their chain. W Miami has completely failed, and has gotten this all wrong. From the time that I arrived this has been a complete debacle and Do Not Recommend you staying here. When first arrived from a 5 hour red eye flight from the West Coast, the public bathrooms were locked and they stated they were "Out of Order". How is that even possible with a hotel of this magnitude? I'm here 2 days and they're still "Out of Order". I was told to go to the pool deck and check if those bathrooms were open. I did, and of course they were locked too. I have never had that happen to me at any hotel chain anywhere in the WORLD. 3 days prior to my arrival I notified the front desk of my early morning, 6:00 AM arrival and asked to be accommodated to have an early check-in. That did not happen. I had to sit and wait until 10:45 to receive a room. And haven't used the bathroom at all! And yes I had to #2! Needless to say when I got to a bathroom it was violent! They have a small coffee concession in the lobby with a limited menu that's open at 7:00 AM. They sell out of the few food items on the meager menu, so your choices are limited. The 15th floor is where the poolside located. The pool and outdoor area is stunning. The pool is operated and shared by Icon Brickell. They are the gate/towel keepers with a pleasant staff. The problem is that there is no food or drink anywhere! The hotel has a small restaurant named Addikt. It is only open Thursday - Sunday until 12pm. Who does that with a restaurant that opens to a swimming pool!?! So if you're trying to have a relaxing normal day at the pool IT WILL NOT HAPPEN!!! You can't get a drink, water, cocktail, sandwich, piece of dry crusty molded bread. You can't get ANYTHING. So if you're hungry or thirsty you have to leave your planned day at the pool, get dressed, leave the property and go to an external restaurant to be accommodated. I have never been to a property that operated like this. This is horrendous, embarrassing, and totally unacceptable for W Hotel brand. I will never recommend this specific hotel to anyone. The one thing that was pleasant here was the night time front desk staff. The gentleman in charge, Eric, did the best he could with what he had to work with. He was personable and accommodating to the best of his ability. He tried to bridge the gap, but he could only do so much. And if I could give this W property a negative star, I would! Yelp
A bad first impression: Getting dropped off after taking an Uber from the airport is extraordinarily complicated. The guys in security guard uniforms are terrible at directing traffic and not very courteous. My Uber driver had a difficult time trying to figure out how to get to front door of the hotel. Apparently, it requires several U-turns through the parking complex because the security guards would not allow a left turn to get directly to the door. The next day I tried to walk downtown from the hotel and the security guards were directing traffic not in coordination with the traffic and pedestrian crossing lights and making a hash of things instead of just having cars and pedestrians comply with the signals. I wonder what, if any, training these people have received on directing traffic. Not all of them seemed incompetent, but enough to make arriving or departing by Uber a chaotic mess. However, the hotel staff at check-in and elsewhere in the building are friendly and helpful. The W Miami is the only high-end hotel I've stayed at within the past few months that STILL isn't providing daily housekeeping. It's only very other day. The decor in my room seemed a bit dated. The light switches are inconveniently located. But, I appreciated getting an upgrade at check-in. The bathroom was huge. It had a large separate shower and a large bathtub. The number of towels provided would have been sufficient with daily housekeeping but there weren't enough washcloths to cover a two day period. Shared with three other buildings, the pools on the 15th are okay but surrounded by a concrete wasteland. I believe there was occasional drink and snack service from the inside bar but was unable to crack the code on how to get my order taken. There was no minibar in my room but the front desk had some miniatures. Otherwise, it was like an Old Folks Home and no bar open in the hotel after 10pm on a Saturday night. Fortunately, Baby Jane across the street is open late nights and is a terrific bar.

Yelp
Solid venue with some of the best views of Miami. Centrally located in the heart of Brickell too. Came here for New Years and would come again for another cheers.

Yelp
1st impression was pretty but then when I got to my room I was very unimpressed. Spoiled 4month old creamers were put into my room with the coffee machine. Room was huge but very ratty looking . View was awesome but everything else was run down even tte restaurant/bar. We always wanted to stay here and we did for 2 nights but I wouldn't go back I think there's much nicer places to stay that you can get your money worth.

Yelp
In the words of Victor Hugo, "Life is the flower for which love is the honey." for as much as Miami is the Honeypot of Love , W Miami is the Corolla from which a flower is formed. Exuberance, Love & Art take center stage in an environment where your every desire and whim is pampered to. The more excessive life is accessible and Talent works effortlessly to make sure your stay is the ultimate. Pro Tip: Marriott Members get great perks but scheduling your visit through AMEX luxury hotels first gets you all kinds of extra stay upgrades.

Yelp
The W Miami is shares space with the ICON complex. Staying at the hotel grants you access to the largest pool deck complex in the United States overlooking Biscayne Bay and the Miami River. The pool complex contains one giant pool at over 200 feet and a "hot-tub" that's nearly over 35 feet wide. The spa and gym have spectacular views over the bay, an abundance of equipment and instructor led classes, two whirlpools, a cold plunge pool, steam room and sauna. We were upgraded to their Marvelous suite - a 784 sq foot 1.5 bath with two walk-out sliding doors to a balcony overlooking the Miami Circle and the Miami River. The room made the 9 nights here very comfortable and spacious. Elites are offered breakfast for two at ADDicT every morning on the 15th floor. The menu includes three options - eggs your way, pancakes, and the yogurt continental. All three options are an abundance of food. They also let us pick from items off their main menu. All of the breakfast items were well prepared, presentable, and palatable. There were two areas in need of improvement: as others have said, the robes are scratchy and the TV's need updated - they're at least 10 old.

Yelp
We've run and driven by the W several times and have always wondered about the high-rise hotel, restaurant that features iconic Easter Day Island Head columns. Well today was our lucky day and coincidentally National Cheeseburger day! We went here for the Yelp Event: Burgers, Beer and Babes. For $35 per person we met the creative genius chefs, the "Burger Babes", who produced 4 delectably different sliders with a choice of a beer, proving once and for all that the ladies can cook great burgers too! As if there ever was any doubt in my mind. We enjoyed these delicious burgers on the 15th floor with spectacular views of the Keys and harbor on a blissfully breezy, clear-skied day. There was also a DJ mixing cover albums for our enjoyment. 8 sliders was far too much food for two people, and we came prepared, as we hadn't eaten breakfast. My vote for the best slider goes to the vegetarian slider, which was a spicy explosion of flavors in your mouth. Due to the diverse flavors, it was by far the best slider. Though we also enjoyed eating the slider on the biscuit bun, which added wholesome heaviness that kept us craving for more! The beer selection at the W was so-so: I had a brown ale by newly opened Taft Brewery which was malty but unremarkable, followed by a Margarita which was very good in its spill proof cup. By far the most beautiful babe was sharing my table and I was very thankful for that! This was yet, another fun Yelping event. Glad to have been part of it.

Yelp
Lobby was like a closet. I'm platinum for life and asked for an upgrade and they aren't close to full and it was a standard room. They always swipe your card for incidentals even if you tell them no. The chargers in the room were crazy and wouldn't work and my bedside lamp was burned out. Platinum breakfast was amazing. Mario took care of us on 15th floor. Phenomenal service and food. I'm a fan of this W.

Yelp
We had a great time at this hotel! Ellie at the front desk was super helpful and so welcoming after our long flight: she was able to get us a very nice corner unit with a beautiful view, gave us a lot of good tips on places to eat, and gave us a great rundown of everything offered at the hotel! The unit was so nice we ended up staying an extra few days, and we'll be booking only at the W Brickell in future trips to Brickell. The hotel itself is very nice - beautiful pool that is quite famous, spacious rooms and bathrooms, and a great downtown location walking distance to lots of restaurants in Brickell and downtown.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place ! The view so amazing and very good location. Stay here couple days and I was so excited. The staff so friendly and kind. Pool after renovation. So clean and calm place . Button line: who have to go to Miami and doesn't know where stay , this place is here.

Yelp
We stayed at the W Miami 2 nights during the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. It's a beautiful property and the room was spacious with trendy decor in typical W style. We had a nice city and river view on a high floor. The W heavenly bed really was heavenly. There is a huge pool on the 15th floor which was closed for repair (due to reopen in early March 2019 per the concierge) but the smaller pools were open. There are a lot of lounge chairs and day beds around the pool in a relaxing environment. There is also a long lap pool on the 50th floor which you access from a separate elevator. As a guest of the hotel you have access to a full gym in the adjacent residential high rise. There's also a spa with steam rooms and jacuzzi which are complimentary, and a menu of other spa services available for a price. All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and efficient. I called the "Whatever Whenever" line 3 times during my stay and each time the phone was answered within 2 rings and my request was handled promptly. The hotel is located in the Brickell area of Miami within easy walking distance of many high end restaurants, bars, and shopping, including a Whole Foods. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Miami.

Yelp
It's confused to get here. We drove to the residence than routed to the main W lobby. Tiny check in area, but we were greeted right away and helped with the luggages. The staffs here dressed really well and polished. Fresh orchids, flowers, and bright decors through out the hall ways. Our room was spacious, so the bathroom, and we also love the balcony, looking over the water. Comfortable heavenly king bed, Bliss bath products, and robes for you. This is a nicer W hotel than some other ones I've been to. The rooftop bar with an infinity pool and a bar were happening on a Jazz night. Free drink for the lady, no less. The other pool is under construction now so we couldn't enjoy the sun bathing as we had hope for. Walking distance to Whole Foods, restaurants and bars; a short drive to Miami Beach, and only 15 minutes drive to the airport on Sunday morning. Keep an eye on your man because we always spotted escorts at the W bar, unfortunately, or fortunately for those who wants their company!

Yelp
Very very very fancy. Great location, gorgeous views, to notch service, beautiful pool. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, you get additional perks like upgrades etc. Really a nice hotel, whether you're on a business trip, leisure or just because
