VSP Consignment

So many 5 star and also 1 star reviews for VSP Consignment. I think most of the 1 star reviews are from customers that are consigning items whereas the 5 stars are from purchasers. I found the service here to be amazing. The store is well laid out. 80% of the store is women's wear but I did find three pieces in the men's sections that were amazing and fairly prices. One of the pieces was actually on sale...the clerk mentioned it at the till which was absolutely unnecessary but very much appreciated. I saved a other $100. The stock is high end for the most part. So don't be shocked by the prices even after list. They are well below the original prices. Loved this whole experience!

I will never consign with VSP again. They have had my Dior Shirt for over 1 year, no sale. The product is not listed online, nor kept on the rack in store. Not sure how they plan to sell it if not advertised for sale. When i asked for it back, they told me that because they decided to list the item for less than $150 (they decide the price after you sign the consignment contract) that I cannot take it back. Other Toronto consignment stores are much easier to work with and were actually successful in selling my items.

My most recent trip here was extra special! I inquired about pieces for my upcoming wedding, and Astrid from VSP suggested I come in for a shopping appointment. She created the most incredible experience for me! She curated a beautiful selection of white pieces and accessories based on my personal style, and even prepared some delicious refreshments in the private dressing room. Amazing locally baked scones and a beverage! I really appreciated the elevated service that Astrid provided, which I haven’t experienced at VSP before. Her incredible fashion knowledge and positive energy made the experience even better. I would highly recommend booking an appointment for any special occasion, or for personal styling needs!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this consignment women’s clothing store. Two days ago, I visited the store and spoke with one of their employees about their consignment business. After showing her pictures of my clothing items along with the prices, she assured me they were interested and asked me to bring the items in. Today, I took the time to bring all the items to their store, only to be told they were no longer interested. This was a complete waste of my time and effort. Their lack of professionalism and poor communication is unacceptable. I do not recommend doing business with this store. If they can’t honor their word or communicate properly, how can anyone trust them? Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

They take half of the sale, pile on extra fees here and there, and in the end, you walk away with almost nothing. The owner has become greedy, and it’s clear they care more about maximizing their own profits than treating consignors fairly. According to their new policy, any unsold items under $500 will be donated. But who really knows what happens to those items? It’s all very unclear and lacks transparency. If I haven’t convinced you not to use their services, please do yourself a favor—read their policy carefully and ask lots of questions. You’ll probably rethink consigning with them. I wish I had! Good store to spot some good deals. But not recommended for consigning with them. They charge you randomly up in front before your items are even sold. you may end up with a negative balance with your sold item. Ye, that’s the ridiculous experience I had. No communication regarding charges because they signed the AGREEMENT apparently. Take your goodies to other places, you end up with better split and at least some respect from the store who live off of you.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with VSP. I consigned an item with them, and it was listed on their website as "sold." However, after 1.5 years of intermittent follow-ups, I was informed over the phone that the item was not sold. When I requested to retrieve the item, since it had not sold in over a year, I was told that this was not possible and that they would donate it to a local charity. This was never part of the agreement, and it feels like VSP has profited from my item while refusing to return it. Their handling of the situation was both unprofessional and unethical. I strongly urge potential consignors to proceed with extreme caution if considering doing business with this company.

Definitely a hidden gem in Toronto! This store is well organized by colours and categories. You can find various styles of clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories. The price range also seemed fair compared to the quality of the item. One of the employees who helped me with the payment was very friendly and made me feel relieved. She had a long straight blonde hair. Thank you again! I’d love to visit with my friends next time.
