VOORLOPIG ROTTERDAM

This is the most gorgeous shop in Rotterdam. You should definitely go! They have an amazing variety of gifts and have a really good selection of designers, illustrators and small entrepreneurs in the shop. They also have another cute shop in the noord of Rotterdam and an amazing shop in Delft and Den Haag!

Whether you are a tourist from abroad, a tourist in your own country, or maybe even in your own city, this is the shop to go to. The kind lady explained the concept to me, and what I understand is that it this is mostly a shop-in-shop concept. About forty artists, designers, and what have you, have their wares on display here for you - the lovely customer - to buy and enjoy. I asked about the name and, apparently, the wares can change from week to week. There are also workshops you can go to and they sell coffee and tea. Treat yourself here.

The shop has a nice variety of products and gifts! But experience leads to an impression: On a Saturday we decided to pass by to buy a gift for a housewarming, they indeed have creative gifts for that. However we were kicked out by a worker behind the counter, who looked at us and yelled that they were closed and the shop was “about to close and you guys need to leave”. We had already chosen something and there were other people in the store browsing and waiting to pay, she was so rude and effortless about us, that it left us speechless while everyone was looking at us. We could only say sorry and leave the place, to never come back again, because of course experience ruined, and to realize that we were still on time while the doors were freely open!

Super cool shop with fun little gifts! They have a great selection of plastic free shampoo bars from 'The Happy Soaps' that are wonderful! I always enjoy going in this shop for a look around! There is always something new and fun to discover there!

You see a lot of "gift" or "concept" stores nowadays, but this was one of my favourites - it really had a very wide range of stuff, and many items I would like to have or buy as a present.

You suppose now that I can tell what the shop is all about? It's about somethings that moves you, other things that make you laugh, other things that you like to give to a good friend or dear ones. Somethings are big and some very small, somthings are very Dutch (in a way). Most things are very payable. Just being there is also an experience. Aart
