This place is absolutely incredible! The atmosphere is fantastic—so lively and energetic. There were a lot of people, but it was totally worth it. We came in and had an amazing salad, followed by a pizza that was simply outstanding. I haven’t had such a perfect pizza in a long time! Highly recommend it to everyone. It was an unforgettable experience. The perfect lunch!

I simply cannot relate to any of the low reviews. This pizza is spectacular. It’s very popular, so make a reservation, expect to wait during rush hour times, or order take out instead! They even include a card on how best to reheat your pizza at home. The round pizzas, salads, and drinks are truly special. The crust is unique with a light and crisp texture. The toppings are of the highest quality and thoughtful placed. Every special I’ve enjoyed here has been an exceptional, world class pizza. What a gem!

Great pizza with superior dough/crust and sublime sauce, but it could use more toppings. The vibe is nice, with a big two-story outdoor space. It gets busy, so expect to wait 30–40 minutes for your order. A bit pricey, but overall a solid spot, better that most pizzas around for sure.

I absolutely loved Truly Pizza! There’s something magical about the crust that sets it apart. We tried the Smoky Vodka and Truly White pizzas, and both were phenomenal. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the balance of toppings and that perfect crust made them unforgettable. Definitely a must-visit for pizza lovers!

Service was top notch. The server, support staff, and manager were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food was all delicious, but the standout for me was the spagnoli salad. I can’t wait to return to try their sandwich menu.

Food was so good!!!! Definitely will be back for the pizza and delicious salad + garlic knots. The service on the other hand was horrible. Our server was name Hailey and she forgot about us 3 times :( !!!! Hopefully we will get a more attentive server next time but def will be back

Truly Pizza is definitely worth a visit. We had the Buffalo wings (very good), the Spagnola salad (excellent), and the Dante Artisan Pizza (excellent). Great location with nice views from the top level. The place is always very crowded, so reservations are recommended. One of the better pizza joints in OC. Only disappointment was the beer list. With so many great breweries in OC , they could have better options.

Service was top notch, food was amazing and ambience was next level. I will definitely be coming back to this spot in the future.

If pizza was an art Truly pizza would be the Getty museum of pizzas. From ambiance with all the fancy space heaters and lemon trees to open kitchen of sorts. The place is full of OC moms hangin with the kids and toddlers having a blast stealing pepperoni The pizza itself was great - the Sicilian (thick crust) is the more popular of the two according to our server. They were both top level pizzas - I can't really complain - if I did it would be a tad bit dryer crust that I prefer but even then it's it's own pizza and perfect - 5 stars - definitely eat it there - they spent a pretty penny making it beautiful. As the former great governator would say - I'll be back

We went Sunday ~3 PM - it was fairly busy. We were told it'd be a ~35 minute wait but the hostess told us no wait for bar seating so we opted to sit at the outdoor bar area. After the hostess sat us at the bar, no one came to introduce themself as our server or take our order for over ~30 minutes. This was particularly frustrating as the 2 people sitting right next to us had multiple servers check in with them on several occasions during the ~30 minutes that no one checked in with us. We also noticed a few people who sat down after us at some nearby chairs to wait for their table/takeout orders had servers come and take their drink order and serve them drinks. We were truly confused and genuinely think the hostess forgot she sat us. We sympathized that it was busy but we had no idea who our server even was - if someone would've at least swung by to let us know we were on their radar and not guests that fell through the cracks - we would've been fine waiting but we began to wonder if we were just sitting there waiting for no one. We went up to check in with the hostess about it and she said she'd send someone over. Then another ~10 min passed and still no sign of a server. By this point, since ~40 minutes had passed since we'd been seated at the bar, we could've just waited for a table at this rate per the 35 minute wait that the hostess initially quoted us. We went up and asked the hostess if we could put in our order with her and she pointed me to the takeout door - I reminded her that she sat us at the bar and pointed to where we were sitting - she said she'd send someone over. Another ~5 minutes passed and someone finally comes to take our drink orders. Not going to lie, we were pretty hangry by this point - typically when dining experiences start off rough, it's hard for the food to completely turn it around but in this case, the amazing food almost made us forget how frustrating our experience was initially. The pizza was truly outstanding - unique extraordinary crusts - don't think I've ever had pizza crust like this! We had the smoky vodka - the crust was so light and airy yet crispy on the outside. The vodka sauce and pistachio lemon pesto were delicious. We also had the umami mushroom - such a delightful bite! The bonito flakes are genius and packs so much umami flavor along with the meaty mushrooms. The crust was light and flaky - resembled puff-pastry but not heavy or greasy at all. The creamy onion and garlic sauce with the smoked mozzarella were delectable. We had also started our meal with the orange coast salad - super light - the Israeli feta cheese was so tasty. We also enjoyed the NA drink selection- the NA sparkling rose and NA negroni were both tasty and refreshing. Overall, it seems like the initial rough start was due to an error made at some point between the hand-off from hostess to server. None of the servers were rude and once we had a server (~45 minutes after being seated), we were served promptly. The food was so phenomenal that we will definitely be back for the food and perhaps make a reservation next time for smoother service.

went on a saturday around 1 pm and got seated immediately! the place is outdoor seating and the ambiance is lovely. we got the garlic pull apart bread as an appetizer, the inside was more doughy than i expected and reminded me like an inside of a pretzel. not sure if i'd get it again but it was nice to try! for pizzas, we got the square smoky vodka ($28) and round umami mushroom ($24). the smoky vodka is my fav!! i love the square pizza focaccia bread style a lot more. the mozzarella on it was the best part imo it wasn't too salty or overwhelming either. the crust on the umami mushroom has sesame seeds and was flaky which made the taste more unique. truly pizza really has the best pizza, a lot better than any italian/pizza place in la too lol service is friendly and explained the type of pizzas they serve + weekend special. i will be back for the square pizzas!

Love this place. Alex, the owner, has this DOWN. His team is a well oiled machine. From the hostess, to the wait staff, to the people bussing the tables, everyone knows their part in the operation and performs it flawlessly. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and charming. The seating is outdoors with plenty of spacing between tables. The upstairs patio is gorgeous with a fire pit; the bathrooms are decorated nicely with cool wallpaper. But you're here for the pizza. Delicious! Difficult to choose between the variety of flavors, so we ordered several, as well as a salad. The salad was fresh with plenty of add-ins. It was really enough for two, three if you're going to eat all of your pizza! The pepperoni with oozy burrata was terrific. I wasn't sure about the sweet and spicy, but wow, what a great balance of flavors. The mushroom pizza was a surprise- the creamy mounds of mushrooms were a delight. The crust on all of them had a great chew, perfectly baked, and just enough char to remind you that they're using a wood fired oven. Serving them on a mesh platter so they don't get soggy is a super touch. Easily shareable and oh, so good. I like to support local businesses, so will often pick up some merch when I really like a place. They did not have any t-shirts in my size so I picked up a gray beanie. Alex helped me personally, going into the back to look for a shirt and then we decided on the beanie, which had a tiny tag with their label on it. A little pricey, I thought, until I looked in the label later. Cashmere?! Who sells cashmere beanies at a pizza place?! Truly Pizza, that's who. Go. Enjoy.

Best pizza I've had in the OC! I was curious to try Truly Pizza after hearing that their chef won best original cheese pizza at the 2024 International Pizza Expo. We had tried to make reservations but it was booked for our party size. Kept checking and lo and behold, some spots opened up the day before we were in Dana Point. The restaurant has outdoor patio seating and heat lamps should the weather be cool. Our party of three shared a small table. Since the other diners do not eat meat, we ordered The Dana Point Wedge without bacon, an Original Cheese square pizza and the Umami Mushroom. The wedge salad had candied pecans, dates, chives, red onions, shaved egg, blue cheese crumbles and lightly dressed with an herby ranch. It made for a nice starter (probably too light for someone to eat as an entree). The cheese square pizza was like a focaccia. The pizza was nice - though one with more toppings would have been a little more exciting. The Umami Mushroom was fantastic with marinated roasted mushrooms, creamy onion and garlic sauce, green onions, sesame seeds and bonito flakes sprinkled on top. The crust was light and airy. Loved that there were sesame seeds on the crust. My mother-in-law didn't eat her crusts and I was half-tempted to eat them. I never thought I would look forward to eating in Dana Point, but the dining scene has really changed! Prices are on the high side (as with all restaurants in DP) but the food here is so worth it.

This place is truly amazing! The only downside I will say is that you have to reserve in advance. We ended up getting bar seating, but still had a good time. Every single staff we met there was extremely well-mannered and attentive. Honestly, it is quite hard to find customer service like this nowadays. Despite having to sit at the bar I had a great time and will definitely reserve seating in advance! The food itself was also super delicious and crispy. I automatically felt destressed after eating.

Make sure you go and make sure you have a reservation at this Dana Point pizza place. Knowing how hard it is to get pizza dough to the right consistency and quality is a craft. Truly elevates it to an art form. Yes - a little over the top but that is because so is the pizza. Whether it is the dough or the cooking method/temp it is one of the best pizza's I have had. And I have said that more than once so I am not going to compare it to other styles or regions. I could have done without the chopped salad but it was a fine way to ease into the decadence of dough. The garlic knots have to be tried- they are amazing. All of the pizzas are great but the vodka one was the best for me. The flavors, textures and the right amount of spice were all balanced on top of the focaccia crust. For those that love focaccia, you know there is a balance or dance between the size and quantity of bubbles, the chew of the dough and the crunch of the crust. Three 10's on these key categories. And the service was friendly and great.

Came here for the second time and throughly enjoyed everything we ordered! We got the Smokey Vodka square pizza and the Umami Mushroom pizza which was my favorite. The creamy onion and garlic sauce on top was unreal, super tasty! The wedge salad was great to share as well. The only watch out here is that the wait time is pretty long without a reservation, even during the late afternoon where I would have thought I beat the lunch rush.

This place is so cuteee; I love the ambiance, the lemons on the trees, such a chic place to be at, we celebrated my husband and my daughter's birthday here.. their menu don't have alot but whatever they have on the menu, it's amazing.. you just better reserve the table ahead of time though. they have sandwiches, pizzas, salads and few appetizers. The service was amazing.. we got blankets cause it was so cold that day and it started to rain.. what a fun experience we had.. our server Ali still made sure we have a candle on my daughter's ice a cream sundae for her birthday.. and we all sang to her. It was a good memory we made with this special place with special food.

Truly Pizza was one of my must visit restaurants I had try while visiting Dana Point and boy am I glad I went! We went when they opened at 11 which was really nice cause we were seated right away and got such a cute table! We were seated on the top deck underneath the lemons and it really made it feel so special. Each food item was hands down fabulous! The garlic knots had the perfect amount of garlic and cheese! The garlic chips on top of the knots were perfect, they had the perfect kick of garlic. The square pizzas are definitely a must try! Even though they look a little thick, the dough is more like a focaccia and is very light and airy! There's an option to add hot honey and I recommend it! It compliments the pizza perfectly.

A good experience with just okay pizza. The service was honestly the best part. Our server was a super friendly local that was ontop of it. The energy was unmatched. They also only have one bathroom and it's upstairs with no elevator which is not ADA Compliant. This restaurant is young hip and modern. It's also loud. So would not recommend with people who are hard of hearing or wear hearing aids. I am gluten free and they have a ton of options.

Truly lives up to the hype. We went here for a little dinner with our kids for our wedding anniversary. Made reservations, got seated quickly. The view on the rooftop is amazing, for a middle of nowhere special restaurant, I felt like I was transported as soon as I got seated. We had: -Garlic Pull Apart Bread (7ndjdn/10 only because it was a bit burnt) -Classic French Fries (9/10) -Turkey & Avocado (8/10) -Smoky Vodka Pizza (12/10 absolutely incredible) -Crispy Pepperoni (9.5/10) And some soft serve ice cream I'm dreaming about the day we can go back to get that smog vodka pizza again!

have been wanting to go to this place since it opened and glad i finally made it ! plenty of reservations available online. it is in a great location in dana point but i kind of hate the parking although there seems to be plenty. service was great. we requested a different table upon arriving bc it was too close to the entrance n people walking around and they accommodated us with no issue we had the house salad - 9/10 the cheese was delicious but the dressing had sort of a sweet taste which i didn't love but some may like it fries appetizer 10/10 crispy fries and house made ranch ! square pizza 10/10 forgot which one - apparently they can run out and i can see why ! it was top 5 pizzas i've ever eaten good selection of drinks and plenty of local pours. i had the yuzu lemonade. it was delicious will be back ! will come back to this place over and over !

This was truly one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. See what I did there. So crave-able. The ambiance is seriously so cute! And they have plenty of heaters which was much appreciated. I forget our servers name but he was incredibly nice and helpful with the menu and quick! My friend and I got the Garden pizza and the Sweet and Spicy. The pizzas are so pretty, but they taste even better. I would definitely go for the square pizza over and over and can't wait to bring more friends. I'm also a bit of a root beer snob, but I liked the brand of root beer. Bringing more people next time so we can order more and try more food!

Wow... this is by far the best pizza crust I have ever tasted. The pizza itself is probably the best pizza I have had . We ended up getting takeout because they weren't even accepting walk ins anymore in a Friday night . Seems pretty popular but you can make reservations a couple weeks in advance. In a cute district in Dana point . We grabbed the pizza and brought it to a close by park and ate it and it did not disappoint. Definitely on the expensive side for pizza but I would do it over again a million times We got the smoky vodka and the farmers market pizza so so delicious!

Great food - Conceited Check In Station Staff. I won't be returning. Despite multiple empty tables we were rudely informed that it would be a 25 minute wait. The girl who told us was amazingly cavalier. Truly is good - but the attitude Truly is not all that. Be nice....

I went here for a date night, and let me say the ambiance was cute and well lit. Everything was SPOTLESS! Now to the food: I ordered the garlic bread, house salad, and sweet & spicy pizza. I was thrilled about the garlic bread and it didn't disappoint. I would skip the house salad, they had excellent quality lettuce but I was disappointed by the lack of dressing and intense amount of cheese. The pizza was a banger. Absolutely nailed a unique pizza with the sweet and spicy pizza! I loved that it wasn't any type of pizza whether Detroit, Neapolitan, or New York slice - it was distinctly its own pizza. The spice was felt and the sweet tasty, it really held its name. I recommend the spot for a cute date, but it won't be my regular pizza joint mostly cause I enjoyed the experience more than the pizza. The staff are so friendly!

Reservations for 7 people for lunch on a Sunday for upstairs terrace. Pizzas ordered were Spinach Artichoke $26 , La Foresta $24 (kind of light on the sausage), Suprema $30 & gluten free Sweet & Spicy $27. Spinach Artichoke & Suprema were by far the best & delicious. The gluten free crust is just alright & A LOT smaller than the others for same price. The house salad $14 & wedge salad $18 were very fresh & tasty. Great service. Beautiful ambiance. Lots of overhead heaters if a cool day.

Phenomenal crust. excellent service. Andrew was our server and just an outstanding guy. Helped get our leftovers packaged up. We ordered the pepperoni, the La Foresta, Garlic Pull Apart bread, and Turkey Avocado. Outstanding. First time visiting. Very happy with everything. All about crust and sauce and they nailed it. The Garlic Pull Apart crust was a wee bit burnt but no complaints here. The top was great. If you haven't tried it out, you definitely should!

Trying different pizzerias in Southern California. Truly pizza came into my IG foodie feed and decided to try it out as a takeout option. Ordered Friday at 6pm & it listed a little over an hour for pickup. As I drove, I noticed two other nearby pizza places that were also packed (standing room only). Didn't realize Dana Point was a mecca for quality pizza. Parking was a pain and I got stuck behind two people in the takeout area unsure what to order, so I waited over 6 minutes to pick up the pie (not the employees fault, just customers unsure what to order) The restaurant and open kitchen looked great. Definitely a date spot. The pizza box was high end as well. The sweet and spicy pizza was delicious. Definitely a contender for best pizza in the area but I liked the crust of Lunitas pizza slightly more.

What an amazing new restaurant for the adorable lantern district of Dana Point. We were seated immediately they brought our dogs a bowl of water and treats! (we were on the patio) The artisan pizza was UNREAL! the Smokey Vodka it was insanely good. Square shaped pizza on delicious dough! The salads are very unique with artisan ingredients too! Too bad I didn't get a good photo of the pizza! We are it so quickly! The atmosphere is California casual. Outdoor heaters and blankets are available to offset the evening chill! Juan our server was amazing! Really a great experience!

Was fortunate enough to get a reservation as they are very popular. The seating is all outdoors on a patio under a covering of lemon trees. The service was fantastic with filling waters, clearing lates, everything was handled without us having to ask. Our server was as pretty and sweet as can be, the best! Got the French Fries, Artisan Pepperoni pizza and the Sweet and Spicy pizza. The fries are worth their price. Hot and soft inside, crispy outside and perfect sprinkle of salt. Of the pizzas, the Sweet and Spicy was my favorite but both were really good. The crusts were a treat in themselves. Mentioned to our server we had a birthday boy at the table and she brought out a dish of soft serve vanilla with dark chocolate syrup drizzled over it and a candle, and four spoons for all of us to share it. The birthday lunch was perfect.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. We had the sweet & spicy square pizza, highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back to get more.

Beautiful day in Dana Point for an outdoor pizza eatery. Service was great. Very popular, so there was a wait. Gave us time to stroll to the nearby area and look at the boats and marina. Lunch was very relaxed. We had ample time to enjoy the weather. The patio was flanked with heaters, so it was very comfortable even though the day was brisk. The pizza was like no other pizza place. The crust is bubbly & flakey. The champion cheese pizza was delicious and the spicy sausage with onions was also a hit. We had a light citrus salad to add some green to our meal. We also enjoyed the French fries while our pizzas were made. Really enjoyed the entire experience and worth checking out.

My goodness what a gem of a local restaurant! We had Smoky Vodka square pizza and Turkey Avocado Sandwich! Both Truly the best Ever! We also had the orange coast salad which was very light, very fresh and also very delicious. We will be back for sure to try the rest of the menu. Jose Luis is so nice also our server Andrew made our experience even more pleasant with his positivity and kind personable fun attitude! Way to go Truly! Five shining stars!

If Costco pizza is your gem, then you can stop reading this review because this is not for you. Don't get me wrong, every now and then when I throw a pizza party or have some guys come over to watch a game, Costco pizza is my top choice. But, if I want to really experience a pizza as a fine dining dish that is truly (punt intended) out of this world, Truly Pizza is it. The location is conveniently off the street in the beautiful Dana Point. There are street parkings and a small parking lot in the back. The seating is outdoors. The service was excellent. And I cannot say enough about the pizza. I don't think my words can do justice. You just have to go there and experience them yourself.

The pizza was some of the highest quality I have ever tasted at a restaurant. Delicious, beautifully presented and I found it hard to resist eating rhe whole thing! Attentive service and the space has a great vibe. My new favorite.

We have been wanting to try this place and we've been hearing great things about their pizza. We came on a Friday afternoon at around 2:30 and there was no wait. We hear you definitely need to make reservations on the weekends as it is that popular. The host seating us was not very friendly and it took over 5 minutes for her to look up and even acknowledge us. Not a very good first impression, but once we were seated our server was great ! Since it is our first time here we asked what the difference was between the round versus square pizza. The round is more neopolitan style thin pizza with fluffy airy crust and the square is more Sicilian style which is like focaccia bread. We decided to try the square sweet and spicy and it was amazing. While we usually like thinner crust pizza the crust is wonderfully crispy! The hot honey gives it a slight spiciness but it's not hot at all. The atmosphere of this place is delightful. This time we sat on the patio on the ground floor. Next time we want to try the round pizza up on the terrace. We will definitely be back!!

Finally made it to Truly without too long of a wait! It was very worth it. We ordered the salumi chopped salad which was good but I wouldn't order it again- too expensive for what it was. BUT the pizza I would justify the price for sure. Must order the Smokey vodka and sweet and spicy perfect for 4 people, with three of us we had four slices left over. I loved the ambiance and the lemons hanging above is so cute! Maybe there were extra lights for the holiday season, but I liked it!

Amazing pizza! Staff were all friendly. You'll want to make a reservation, or be willing to hopefully get a spot at the wraparound bar that offers full service. We went around 2 PM on a Saturday and it was packed!! We did order drinks before we ordered pizza, and the drinks didn't arrive until we were finished eating, but it was clearly very busy and waiters were juggling a lot. The pizza was absolutely delicious and worth any wait/crowd. The lemon trees are gorgeous, too!

When I first heard that Johnny, the pizza guy was opening up his pizza restaurant in Dana Point. I was over the moon excited. When I finally got there the week it opened it did not disappoint. I come from New England and I've always struggled to find a pizza crust close to back home with a crispy crunchy crust but they deliver. Service great. You can get a skinny round pizza or a slightly thicker square pizza my favorites are.Mama Mia. Spinach and artichoke. Sweet and Spicy. Smoky vodka. And classic round cheese. Starter chicken wings. Root beer, float, and Yuzu lemonade. I try to get her twice a month. And it never disappoints.

This place is amazing, definitely recommend it. They have really cool outdoor patio atmosphere. We ordered the sweet and spicy square crust pizza and plus added pepperoni and it could be the best pizza I've ever eaten. The wife and daughter feel the same way. We also had the wedge. Regarding the service, let's just say starting with the person greeting us to the older pleasant gentleman bringing us a bottle of water we're awesome. BUT our server Gavin was amazing, attentive, checked on us from time to time, took his time with us as we asked food and menu questions, we never felt pressured to hurry even though they were busy. He gave us great recommendations. So yes 10 stars in my humble opinion. Thanks for a good time Truly Pizza. .

Stumbled upon this spot while we were hanging out in the area. Hubby was craving pizza and Truly Pizza called out to us. We came here on a Monday evening around 4:45pm. We didn't make reservations but did get seated after 5 minutes of waiting. The restaurant tables were not too filled up yet. The ambiance here is great. It's all outdoors with lemon trees and trendy tables and chairs. It felt like a little slice of Italy. We ended up ordering the french fries and pepperoni pizza to share. The fries were pricey at $11. They were skinny cut and crispy, very hot and fresh. They look reminiscent of McDonald's fries, but tastes way better. We really enjoyed the aioli dip the fries came with. As for the pizza, it came out piping hot. They didn't skimp out on the pepperoni and we loved the touch of basil added onto it too. We were really impressed with the pizza crust. It was airy and so crispy but also flakey, almost like a croissant but not really. Either way, it was an amazing pizza! Overall experience here was good. The food was honestly great, especially the pizza and it's unique crust. It's definitely on the pricier side due to the quality but worth it. The main complaint we have is the service. There were A LOT of staff members present but nobody really helped us. We had the menu on our table for at least 7 minutes and I had to flag down a gentleman to come take our orders. We noticed a lot of the staff were busy talking to each other too, so that definitely needs to be improved. Otherwise, great food and a super cute restaurant in Dana Point!

Food - starters like wings, garlic pull apart, fries, salads, sandwiches, and of course, some Truly pizzas. The wedge salad was good. The focaccia crust Suprema pizza paired with the Fablist red wine was spectacular!!!! The crust was light and airy, crispy at the bottom and devine. Chef Chris made this great. Service - understaffed it seems or maybe they are still working out the quirks? And slightly disorganized in my opinion. Ambiance - outdoor seating, side and bar height seating and rooftop seating. Suggest you make reservations as this place can get packed dinner time. We didn't but they offered us the side wing seating and for us, it was good enough. If you are a bigger party, for sure reserve. Verdict - slightly slower and understaffed but they get the job done so long as you are patient. This is a social experience let alone the pizza experience so it's definitely worth the wait.

I saw the hype and this place is indeed super busy. You'll need reservations if you want to be seated quickly. I have had a lot of pizza in my years... and this is hands down, second to none, the best pizza in Orange County, probably even California. Seriously, and I thought aPizza Doho was good, so Dana Point is the new pizza epicenter. The dough is perfect at this place, airy and salted a bit like a sourdough. Red sauce, A+. You'll definitely eat the crusts on this pizza, no doubt. My only critique on the "sweet and spicy" was that was just a tad too sweet, like a bit too much honey, but otherwise flawless. Get it with the chili oil for sure.

The menu has good selection of various pizzas (vegan options upon request). You can also opt for a salad or a sandwich. Their desserts list is short and consist of ice cream only. We tried ice cream with olive oil, pistachio, and sea salt. The sea salt wasn't needed but the olive oil was an interesting and nice addition. Do make sure to try this restaurant when you are in the area.

Wow...speechless the pizza is amazing! We had the Square Focaccia Sweet & Spicy but added crumbed sausage! The focaccia is so light and airy the sauce and toppings are perfection! The Del Prado salad, chopped with Blue Cheese, red onion, bacon, candied pecans was very good, not a heavy salad which is a great starter to the pizza. The service was amazing, our server was so helpful and had great suggestions on for the toppings and he was super attentive! Wine list is extensive, however the "craft beer" selection is very lacking. So if you're a beer drinker plan accordingly.

Upstairs in the Truly pizza Dana Point restaurant, it has the nicest ambiance. The pizzas were excellent and the salad was just as described. We loved the serene atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly and easy to have around. The staff seems excellent. We will be going back. The four of us ate the appetizer, garlic pull apart, which was heaven. Parking was in the back or on the street.

If I could leave 10/5 I would!!! STRICTLY ON THE FOOD ONLY...abd courtyard GORGEOUS BABES!!! Make RESERVATIONS for any evening. Althogh there is about 10 or so "bar top-like" seats behind the hosts. Once seated, you stare at your reflection instead of the guest/partner(s)/friends/parents/etc. Alot if ppl were trying to sweet talk the hosts yesterday evening...good luck with 4 of them standing there. Full hands ppl. Keep busy there is plenty to do in a resturant. Trent was our server and my partner and I saw him twice. No water offered, but there were water cups pre-set. Absolutely will be coming back for take-out. Had the Spicy Vodka Pizza added soppressata (hhighly recommend!!!) and the bottled root beer.

LOVE this spot!!! such a beautiful outdoor ambiance, so happy i got to try it out! my boyfriend & i came on a saturday but we thankfully made reservations so we were seated right away! it did look pretty busy so wait time must've been long if you don't make reservations on a weekend day. we ordered 2 pizzas, i got the spinach artichoke pizza. it was EXCEPTIONAL! the pizza was so crispy but not overly crunchy...it was just perfect. i also like that the menu had the matching alcohol that pairs best with each item. my boyfriend got the garden pizza & he loved it as well. i do slightlyyyy wish they had some meat options or chicken add-ons. but the pizzas on the menu do seem to replicate pizza that you find in italy haha staff were supperrr friendly & sweet, but still professional. would definitely come back & try more of their pizzas!

Packed on a random Monday afternoon! We still got a spot at their bar. Quintessential outdoor beach dining with plenty of shade and greenery. Bathrooms upstairs. Many people were doing take out to avoid having to wait. We ordered the Suprema and ate the whole thing. So good and airy. Well worth it!!!

Food, ambiance and service were all great. Walked up to the hostess for a table for three for dinner and she was able to seat us in a few minutes. We sat out on the patio with gorgeous (fake) lemons hanging from the branches above. Nice vibe for an early weekday dinner with cuteness all around us... babies and well-behaved dogs. The food was delicious. Wings were nice and juicy. Pizzas (we ordered the mushroom round and the pepperoni square) were both really delicious. Loved the taste and texture of the crust. Beer and wine only... no full bar unfortunately. Service was nice all around. A little mixup with who was covering which tables but overall, it was a nice dinner.

Drove over to Truly Pizza this evening. They don't take reservations until August 9th, I believe. There was about a 30 minute wait for a table upstairs. We enjoyed the wedge salad, chopped and shared. delicious flavors, large chunks of blue cheese, bacon, figs, and pecans, tremendous good flavor in this salad.. we decided to have the crispy pepperoni and honey oil pizza.( this pizza is the jam.!!!!) so crispy, so chewy, so cheesy, so pepperoni.. with fresh basil leaves. Six good size slices. You feel good when you're here . ( so many pretty lemons, hanging from the vines above) . It's very dog friendly. they have parking but it's not plentiful. The staff members are very attentive and as we were leaving the manager stopped us and said "thank you for coming. I hope you enjoyed yourself." Thank you truly pizza , we did.

Honestly this is my new favorite place for artisan pizza! All the other places I've been to can never get the dough quite right but this one nails it. I feel like a lot of people come here for the square shaped pizza but the dough is completely different from a round shaped pizza. For the square shaped pizza the dough is on the thicker side? It pretty much reminds me of bread. The round pizza dough is your typical pizza dough but has a super crunchy and airy crust (my personal favorite). The gluten free crust is super crunchy! It has a little bit of sweetness and keeps its structure the best out of the three. Flavor wise they're all pretty great! The foresta was the most interesting looking but I wish the dollops of cheese were smaller and more spread out. The flavors blended well together but I had to spread the dollops of cheese bc it was just way too much in one bite. The sweet and spicy wasn't my favorite because I just don't like my pizza to be spicy BUT the spice wasn't too bad. Also who knew honey would pair so well with spicy tomato sauce? I highly recommend eating this with the gluten free crust. It'll add a little bit of extra sweetness. Lastly the smoky vodka pizza was my personal favorite taste wise. It pretty much tastes how you'd expect. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy but be prepared for street parking. We wanted to sit on the second level but it was full by the time we arrived. The lower level is just as nice and had a lot of seats open. The servers are super nice and made sure we were well taken care of.

Great atmosphere for our girls night out! The drinks , the wedge salad and garlic knots were 10/10!!! A great ordered 3 pizzas and preferred the artisan style pepperoni . Amazing service . Can't wait to try it again

The square pizza is amazing. The crust is 10/10. Toppings are decent. $25 for 1 small/med pizza is ok if you don't want leftovers for a couple. Round pizza is decent, but less crust than square, so get the square. Brooklyn City Pizzeria in Laguna Niguel is still the best. $35 for better flavor toppings and leftovers. Adoho need not be tried.

The pizza was amazing. My daughter who is a picky eater loved the focaccia bread pizza crust. I will definitely come back.
