Truffleberry Market

I was looking to book an event with them for an upcoming date in a couple weeks. I told the person whom I was communicating with that I would like to have a call to discuss the details. She replied with a time for a call, and I didn't see the message until the following day. I replied back, and didn't hear from her then. I called the office the following day and explained the situation, and was told that she was not in the office today. Knowing that I needed to speak to someone soon, as our event date was approaching, I was confused as to why someone else didn't get back to me. Anyway... I received a response the following day, from my first point of contact, saying that she was sorry, but the date I requested is no longer available. They knew I had asked for this day last Thursday, and didn't have the decency to follow up with me, knowing I had asked for that specific day first. Not a very professional way to do business. Plus...I had even asked the woman, since she couldn't take care of our event, if she could recommend any other reputable catering companies. Not a peep from her. Ugh!!

We cannot say enough positive things about working with Truffleberry Market. They catered our wedding and could not have been more amazing to work with. From the moment we began communicating with them we were sold! They are passionate about food and service and every interaction highlighted their attention to the details. Brittany took time to really understand the foods we like (and we love food) and what we wanted the entire experience to be for our guests. Throughout the planning process she was available by phone and by email. Her responses were always prompt and informative. She knows how to put on a great event with great food! The service and food could not have been better. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted AMAZING! The service was coordinated and thoughtful. Each member of their team was knowledgable and professional. We have many friends that work in the service industry and they were quick to compliment and highlight the work of this dedicated team. 10/10 We would use them again in a heartbeat and would love if they would deliver us some of the chicken pot pies and brie s'mores right now (and maybe a sea salt doughnut too)!

I cannot say enough about how fantastic Truffleberry Market was to work with! Brittany and all of her staff is simply fantastic - wildly accommodating, wickedly fast to respond to question, and most importantly, the food was EXCELLENT. It was literally like eating at a restaurant on your wedding day. Their display was gorgeous as well. I would strongly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding, and only wish I was able to eat with them again :) Thank you, Truffleberry!

Nicole is literally a queen and a star. I am a wedding planner and my now husband is a chef, so figuring out what we wanted to do for our wedding was a little bit of a challenge and there was some pretty serious pressure on us. We opted for a small ceremony in our backyard and had Truffleberry cater a four course meal for our immediate family. We wanted a high end meal with pairings but neither of us are super fussy and Truffleberry delivered. The food was amazing, Nicole and Allie were the amazing and took such good care of everyone on the night of, and the whole team was one of our favorite vendors of the whole deal. Five stars, and a million thanks for making two people who usually spend their weekends working weddings, feel the most special.

Seriously they are amazing! From start to finish in planning our wedding food this place was great! Nicole led the team and was helpful throughout the entire process. Food menu was creative and every SINGLE item we tried tasted yummy! On the higher end price-wise in the catering world, but worth every penny- from the friendly staff, to great flexibility, to fresh food, to beautiful plating!

If you're looking for a wedding caterer look no further! We had been in contact with some of the "biggest" catering companies in Chicago and found the experience to be frustrating. Every encounter we had left us feeling like were just another wedding and that they didn't care about our big day. Due to that we ended up asking our wedding venue who they recommended and Truffleberry Market was at the top of the list. Brittany was phenomenal to work with from day 1! She was passionate about our menu, tasting and special day. She was quick to respond to emails / calls (even when she was on vacation) and super flexible with our tasting date / time when we asked if she could push it up a week. When we arrived at our tasting we were blown away by the service and food (which was 10x better than the "big" catering companies downtown). My parents joined us and were equally as impressed. As if Brittany hadn't done enough she gave us a goody bag at the end with some homemade chocolates, champagne and a handwritten note. We knew instantly that we wanted to work with Truffleberry and ended up emailing them a few minutes after we left to confirm. We are so very excited for our wedding day and know the experience will be equally as great! Thanks Brittany + Truffleberry Team!

We hired this company for our daughters wedding .You can imagine our shock when after their commitment to work with us, they wanted to charge us $125.00 a person for a tasting. When we questioned this absurd pricing they backed out less than two months before my daughters wedding. This caused us much stress and left us scrambling. Please, all future brides think before you work with them. They are not professional. Diana

A couple of weeks ago, we had Truffleberry Market cater our wedding reception. We had 142 guests at the Old Town School of Folk Music for the ceremony and reception and used "music" as our wedding theme. Even at the tasting, Truffleberry totally "got" our theme -- from a custom logo on the proposal, to musically-named appetizers, and ideas for serving that had a musical flair. The food was spectacular at the tasting and they delivered that same quality in quantity (if not even better) at the wedding. The Truffleberry serving staff were gracious and efficient (and cleaned up very inobtrusively throughout the reception). Their presentations were delightful and so much fun -- two-bite fish tacos resting on limes cut with a V-wedge and served on a giant wooden xylophone; caprese pipettes (with a balsamic glaze in a small bulb that guests squeezed into their mouths while eating the mozzarella, basal and tomato) served on old LPs with custom record labels; lettuce wrapped cheese bites served on forks sticking up in a box filled with marigold blossoms (not musical but beautiful); mac and cheese cups served on a guitar which had been decoupaged with images of my husband and I and places we had lived or treasured; and several others -- just as creatively served and all delicious. Truffleberry created a signature punch which I loved! They also created a selection of four desserts for the last part of the reception -- each perfectly prepared, beautifully served, and amazing to eat. Our guests were so happy with the food and loved everything they ate. Truffleberry arrived early to set up. They cleaned up and quietly left at the end of the evening with nary a sign there had been a catered event, except that they left the decoupaged guitar for us as a memento of the event. Truffleberry was not the most expensive of the caterers that provided proposals and tastings but their creativity and quality were far above the others. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They helped to ensure we could just relax and enjoy visiting with our guests at the reception while having great food to share. If there was a bonus sixth star available, they would get that rating from me, but I will settle for giving them five out of five here!

Without question - these are the people to use for your next important event. I had a party this weekend for 150+ people and the food was absolutely the talk of the party. Everyone was raving about the food and how they could not resist going back for second servings. They did the final prep on site and all the food was hot and fresh. We had a St Patricks Day theme and they were able to adapt to the menu quickly and in a creative way. They were very careful about gluten and other allergies and we listed all ingredients on the little cards by the food so guests could ensure they would know what they were eating. Definitely use Brittany - she is the BEST.

After interviewing nearly every wedding caterer in Chicago, my husband and I chose Truffleberry to cater our September wedding and I am so glad we did. I can't say enough about Brittany and her team, but I will try! First, Brittany: She went above and beyond from day one and was such a calming presence throughout our planning process--always quick to respond to emails and so easy to work with. She helped with every step of food-related decisions--creative menu suggestions, placesetting ideas--and even created a mock tablescape at the tasting. On the wedding day she arrived early and stayed until the last guest departed (at 3am!). I knew that I had nothing to worry about as long as Brittany was in charge. Second, the food: We and our families were absolutely blown away at our tasting, and were so thrilled with how everything turned out at the wedding. Our guests still have not stopped talking about how delicious our food was, and several have wondered how they possibly served nearly 300 guests such flavorful, warm food! Thank you, Truffleberry!! We are so lucky to have worked with you!

I can't express how wonderful this company is. High end across the board they are truly professional and passionate food folk!

Choosing Truffleberry was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. Yes, they were a tiny bit more expensive than some of the other vendors we got quotes from, but it was SO worth it. Our biggest worry was that we'd have subpar wedding food (something we have experienced at almost every wedding). Brittany worked with us to get the food priced within our budget and it was AMAZING. We got so many compliments on the food! One of my friends said not only was she impressed that we served meatloaf at our wedding, but it was the best meatloaf she'd ever had. She also set up the cutest display ever for our sweets table. When spending so much on catering, why not have it be this good? I wish she owned a restaurant that I could eat at weekly!
