Trattoria Cento Lire

First ...cash only.. Normally a sign for me.. don't go.. but my colleague, a German guy.. was ok and paid. Grouwded.. to many people and you could see give stress on the kitchen. As often said .. I order the Entrecote.. and it was to cold if not even frozen when it hit the pan .. it's not blood on the plate.. but a mixture of water. Or condensation.. .and I tried to explain..I want it red. But they not understand..or better.. they can't do it. Probably because they prepared the steak in front?? The place was real full. I honestly think. This place is simply not setup to do a steak. The rest they served looked ok.. just keep it at the pasta and pizza..

Hard to believe but true that even Italian cooks can get the pasta cooked wrong . The too hot spaghetti carbonara thrown in the egg and cheese sauce made the sauce more of a scrambled egg dish than carbonara. The pizza was editable , more of a German style one than an Italian but can pass.

We went their late in the evening and got a fantastic Dorade and an excellent Steak. The Pizza Margherita is always good and the goat brie on red beet carpaccio was a real delight. Highly recommend!

I recently visited an Italian restaurant just a 15-minute walk from Messe, Hamburg, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food (Entrecôte steakk) was delicious, with generous portions at very reasonable prices. The ambiance is perfect for both family dinners and business meetings, thanks to its convenient location near Messe.

Antonio and Lisa are a worked out team who know what they can offer. I had the penne with rucotta cheese which was realy nice and something fresh. The mixed green salad was good and then the Tiramisu and the whole dessert platter was great.

The food was delicious! The staff is very nice!

Very nice place for dinner, every single one at the table was happy with the starter and main. Fresh probably describes it best, you can taste that the ingredients are carefully sourced. The place itself is very comfy and the service is professional but also very friendly. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to! They only take cash but an ATM is 150 meter down the street. (They had two vegetarian mains btw.)

Everything was great. Minus 1 star because of no cashless 🙈

On my wanderings I happened upon Trattoria Cento Lire last night. It's quite a stylish little italian restaurant at the city-centre end of the karoviertel. I had a 4 cheese pizza, which came to EUR7 and was absolutely delicious. The people on the table next to us had some amazing looking fish dishes, that came with a massive whole fish - I'll try that if I end up here again. On the way out the owner stopped us and asked whether we'd like a shot of grappa, so we took our coats back off and sat down again! It turns out that I'm not a big fan of grappa, but it's the thought that counts, right? If I have another good experience here I'll probably move it up to 5 stars, but for now 4 will do.

Enjoyed a good steak here last weekend. The anti-pasti beforehand was good too (a plate for 2 went equally well between 4). It's a popular place as the bulk of the tables already had reserved signs on when we went in around 5pm to book for 20:30 (this on January 2nd) so you're probably best advised to do the same rather than turn up on spec. The service was good, given the amount of customers on the night (& we had people join us as the meal went on which could have proved unhelpful) so I imagine it's excellent during any times when it's less than full. They don't though take cards (definitely not Mastercard), like many places in Hamburg, so be sure to have enough cash on you to cover every eventuality.

Nope. The place have a nice ambience, nothing more. The cooks are saving on ingredients, the dishes are overpriced and the staff is pretty rude. Last time I gave this place a chance my friend got served a dish she hasn't ordered. We politely informed the stuff that they got our order wrong. The stuff arrogantly told us that they ran out of the ingredients for the initial order, so they have decided to serve something else. Ehhh, ok...
