Think Coffee

This is a nice little coffee shop located near the bottom of Chelsea right off 16th and 7th. We stopped by to kill some time and have an after lunch latte. The space is small but very nice. The service was excellent.

The worst coffee I’ve had in the city. It’s supposedly an iced coffee with ‘sweet foam’. Came with 0 foam and the drink had 0 sweetness. It tastes like a really watery coffee. I couldn’t even drink it. It was $7+ for this tiny cup that is less than 4 inches tall. It’s absurd.

The espresso was wonderfully extracted. The pour over was fantastic and the food was comforting. There are vegan options which is always a plus.

The shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for working or catching up with friends. The rustic-modern decor, comfortable seating, and ample natural light create a welcoming space. Their coffee is top-notch, with rich espresso and smooth cold brews, and they offer various milk alternatives. The menu also features tasty teas, pastries, and light bites, including popular options like avocado toast and vegan snacks. Service at Think Coffee is friendly and efficient. The baristas are knowledgeable and happy to customize orders or provide recommendations, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Came here to grab coffee on a Sunday morning around 10am. There was no line and there were a few open tables. I got the Spanish latte with oat milk and it was delicious! Cute vibe and good service. Would recommend this spot for a quick catch up, but it didn’t look like it would be great for working out of

I come here when I need a reliable space to do work and grab a bite & bev - soy cortado, oat matcha, or chai latte. For a chain cafe, the baristas actually make good drinks! The food never misses—as a vegan, it’s nice they have options. Vegan bagel and avocado toast are pretty nice but expensive! Cons: This location tends to play obnoxious 2010s pop songs that aren’t conducive to a warm cafe atmosphere. Just doesn’t match the vibe and makes it hard to focus on your conversation or your work. (This seems to be an NYC thing.) no wifi either. The prices are pretty high here, as well. I guess that’s to be expected with the economic crisis we’re in right now. Post-pandemic, cafés need to be better about defaulting to ceramic mugs/reusable ware. Seeing people sit at the tables (not taking their drink to-go) while sipping through plastic is so silly and wasteful. It’d be great if they could ask, “would you like that for here or to go?” Rather than sticking everything in plastic automatically. It’d show more commitment to their “reuse. Swap. Stay. Reduce cup waste and save $.50” signage. I also wonder if the staff here kinda hate their jobs? They’re always a little low energy, like this is just another job. They don’t greet customers with enthusiasm, but they’re always amiable enough. I think they need to get paid more. I don’t blame them. I think there’s a disconnect in the company’s ethos of sustainability and social issues and the way the shops are actually run. There’s probably not a great sense of company culture, since it’s a chain. It just feels like this place doesn’t have a through-line of identity, and the staff couldn’t really care less/aren’t passionate about their jobs.

The staff were really kind and the place was cozy (but nice for 1-2 people). I got English breakfast with oat (steamed) and it was nice and a good price. Yes bathroom but no wifi🥲

Cool aesthetic to the store. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the coffeeshop. It had a cool vibe going on; reminded me of the coffeeshops Little Havana. The customer service was excellent. Two guys were the baristas when I visited, they were pretty dope. Trains are around the area, Union Sw is a few blocks away, the New School isn’t too far away, as well as the New York University.
