"This speakeasy behind the buzzier Normandie Club in Koreatown (which is inside the Normandie Hotel—got that?) is dark and beautiful , but the main draw is the seriously inventive cocktail program. The themed seasonal menu of about ten drinks changes every four to six weeks. The “Pacific Coast Highway” menu, for example, offered the Big Sur, made with, among other things, Douglas fir eau de vie, Islay Scotch, and tea fog (black tea infused with tobacco and cardamom, then mixed with dry ice since, you know, Big Sur is foggy). A key at the bottom of the menu provides icons to help you navigate; there are ones for “refreshing,” “boozy,” “savory,” “rich,” etc. Truth is, you’d be wise to talk to someone on staff; their knowledge and enthusiasm for quality and uniqueness is impressive. PRO TIP: Don’t feel like something crazy? Ask to see the separate menu for classic cocktails, which isn’t readily handed out. THE DETAILS: Wednesday to Sunday only. They hold a very small number of seats for walk-ins, but you should reserve online (there are only 27 spots). There’s a two-hour time limit if they’re busy." - Condé Nast

"This teensy cocktail bar is accessed through the regular bar at Hotel Normandie in Koreatown, and when you walk through the door, the dim lights and lounge seating make you feel as though you've been transported to a different city. They specialize in wild, perfectly crafted cocktails, best experienced through their omakase program, which delivers whatever the super-talented lead bartender Katie Emmerson is making that evening. With a larger group, you can sit in the lounge and order cocktails a la carte (the menu changes every 6-8 weeks). "

"There's a slew of new drinks to know about over at The Walker Inn in Koreatown. The cocktail hotspot is officially on for summer, rocking summer spritzes and the below drink called Laurel Canyon, which comes with whiskey, spices, and lightly smoking sage." - Farley Elliott

"The Walker Inn, located inside the Hotel Normandie in Koreatown, has temporarily closed for an update, with plans to reopen on January 16. The bar will eliminate thematic menus, introduce a new tasting schedule, and collaborate with the adjacent Normandie Club on weekends. The new setup includes reservation-only seating with dedicated servers, a tasting menu costing $70 per head, and options for a la carte drinks and a petit tasting of three cocktails for $35. On weekends, the Walker Inn and Normandie Club will merge, offering separate drink menus and different vibes across the spaces." - Mona Holmes

Really cool presentation on the drinks and great mixing. Fun laid back atmosphere, pricey but it's how it is when you have 15 seats in the bar. Worth the price. The scotch list is great too!

They have many delicious and luxurious original cocktails! We decided to so the shorter tasting menu (3 courses) for $40 each but they also have a 5 course option for $70. The bartender was so warm and friendly and took the time to explain each drink to us. There isn't a ton of seating there, so if you're going, be prepared for that.

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great bartenders! Unfortunately they're shutting down on 2/17! 😱Make your reservations now and enjoy while you can! Ask for Kevin and Sarah. Their knowledge and ability to make cocktails will astound you.

We could not have had a more perfect stay. First of all, the property manager, Caleb, is fantastic. From his communication skills to the breakfast he served us, he takes customer service very seriously and we appreciated him. Our bed was amazing, all of the extras in the bathroom were wonderful, and the house is just incredibly beautiful and spotless. If you happen to like cats or dogs you will be in heaven. If you don’t like them, no worries, they keep them away from you. As we are animal lovers it was all we could do not to sneak Repo (a beautiful dog) into our bed:) Don’t hesitate—just book this place and enjoy yourselves!

I had an amazing experience at the Walker Inn last night taking part in an Omakase course of tasty drinks in the 'hidden' cocktail bar. It was the first time I had experienced the presentation of a series of drinks that not only had a theme, but also involved a good amount of participation on my part. The bar, the staff, the drinks, all worth it. Definitely going to head back when the menu switches up to a new course for the Omakase.

Seriously, one of the best experiences I've ever had. I'm usually not one to order cocktails of any sorts. They usually end up being too sweet for me and bring guaranteed hangovers lol. However, this is something you should do once in your life if you are willing to splurge on drinks before or after dinner. You might want to do it after because we were really tipsy after our 4th drink haha. You can't enjoy your dinner if you end up drunk. Did you know there was such a thing as fennel pollen?! Because we sure didn't until it was an ingredient in our drink. It ended up being our favorite of the night! Everything they use in their cocktails are always fresh, in season, and purchased that week. Therefore, their menus are always changing. You need to book your reservation in advance and pay a $50 deposit ($25 per person, 2 person minimum). I highly recommend the bar seating. We got to watch and learn about each drink that was made that night.

Not omakase style. It was in 2015 when we first went. Each cocktail was crafted based on a conversation with the bartender. Today they served us a "seasonal" menu which consisted of four very carbonated liqueurs that we couldn't choose. It was followed by a bourbon blended with, and I'm not kidding, Reese's Peanut Butter cups. When I asked the bartender what bourbon he thought paired well with Reese's he didn't know. He had clearly not crafted the drinks and had to go in the back to ask someone else. It tasted terrible. It was all pretty bad. I wish I could give 0 stars and get my $150 back.
