My mom, my sister, and I visited the London Tea Room on March 31st to celebrate my sister's birthday. At that time, they served the Austen inspired menu. My sister got the Emma tea, and I got the Pemberley tea. Both my mom and sister got the high tea, and I got the afternoon tea because I wanted to try all the sweets. Our waitress was very helpful, as she recommended teas to each of our tastes. My sister has a sensitivity to dairy as well, and our waitress was very knowledgeable as to which foods she could have, and the kitchen even made a few swaps so she could get her money's worth. It is a prix fixe menu, but don't let that stop you from visiting if you have a sensitivity to some foods. They were very accommodating. To us, this is a place for special occasions, and we would love to be back! The tea was so tasty that we even bought some tea leaves to take home.

The first time I went I had the Afternoon Tea and it was delicious! The second time I brought my dad and had High Tea and the ice cream sandwich (made through local partnership). The The scones are wonderful (feta and chive this time). The menu is ser unless you have an allergy, which they are open to accommodating. Yes, it's pricey, but it's good loose tea and solid food. You won't leave hungry.

I really wanted to like this place going in. It looked fun in reviews. As I found out saying that they're open until 4pm is extremely misleading, I was there at 3:05pm and they wouldn't seat me saying they closed down kitchen at 3pm. The lady and young man working there were very nice and attentive. I did get a cup of tea to go and it was perfectly brewed and delicious. I looked at the assorted teas on shelves, and while they have lovely selections the prices are exorbitantly high. A bag of tea that I can buy for $10-15 here they marked at $80. The biggest disappointment was scones. I didn't want heated/hot thinking they would be at room temperature. They were rock hard frozen. Clearly not fresh, even when I did reheat them there was noticeable stale taste. Sad. It ruined the desire to come back to this place.

My sister and I enjoyed afternoon and high tea selections. It was wonderful. Thomas, our server answered all our questions and provided prompt service. The autumn chicken salad on croissant was our favorite. I especially enjoyed the clotted cream. As an avid Great British Bake Off I have always wondered what clotted cream taste like! Enjoying a personal pot of tea with lumps of sugar - divine! A very nice afternoon outing!

We had a wonderful experience at the London Tea Room last weekend. Elegant atmosphere and the food was delicious. This was quite a treat for my girlfriends and I. Thank you for the great service!

I went several times to the last place they were located but I absolutely love this place at the new one. You can also get your whole tea experience with food all vegan! My friends & I had a wonderful, fancy little tea party there recently. I highly recommend. The staff was also so nice, accommodating, patient, and will gladly take pictures of your group for you. Be careful with parking though. Be sure you have fully paid on the app before you walk inside. Cops watch this area heavily and will ticket.

4.5 *! We had a lovely time celebrating my daughter’s 4th birthday! We bought a “wee tea” and she loved the pastries had a blast pouring the cream in her tea. 🥰 The pastries were delicious! I will say the pictures on the website are slightly misleading, it’s $37 for the adult regular tea and pastries and that’s one serving. (There are three adult servings on the plates pictured, so a total of about $100). We loved the salmon bagel and the Jane Austin themed desserts! (It was a Wednesday in February). The tea was great too! The only downside that kept this from being a 5* experience was the service was a little slow. There was 1 waiter for the whole room, and by the time we got our second pot of tea we had finished eating and were ready to leave. Excellent experience all together though!

Google
I debated between 3 or 4 or 5 stars for this review. If I'm being completely honest, the special event we went to wasn't really worth the additional cost. We went to the special Mother's Day afternoon tea event, and I think the standard afternoon tea downstairs would have been better. The food was a fun experience and the tea was some of the best I've had, but a glass of champagne and a string trio that played less than half the time we were there wasn't worth the additional cost that bumped the price up to $100 a ticket. I appreciated that mothers also received a small bag of tea, but I really think it's wrong to charge the same price for every ticket and only include that add on for mothers, especially since not all women can have children and men were guests too. If you only want to give an item to a certain group, it would be better to have it as an add-on item for the ticket rather than going around the room picking certain people to get them. Especially for Mother's day, when a lot of moms say "Oh, you can have mine," when they see someone else is going without. Service/atmosphere also brought down my rating. The musicians weren't great. They seemed to have long breaks, one literally yawned like they were SO bored at least four times, and they seemed to skip quite a few measures in certain songs and were very repetitive in the songs they did play. My mom saw one server drinking champagne in the back. The order people were served didn't match the order they sat down, and there seemed to be some confusion with seating. That felt a little disorganized. Also the chairs were very uncomfortable, hard wood, not great. I'd visit again to try the standard experience, but I don't think I'd book another special event without some changes.

Yelp
What a lovely experience and something fun and new for us to try in downtown St. Louis. The ambience when we walked in was very pretty. Immediately we were drawn to the gorgeous China around the room. After we were seated and admiring our beautiful place settings, our lovely server came over and went over the menu and some of her favorite teas. One in our party is celebrating their birthday in a few days and another one in two weeks so the server brought over three special tea sets to celebrate the girls and their friend whose birthday was just a few months ago. It was so kind and we got to enjoy another set of beautiful China. We all ordered Afternoon Tea to get a sample of both sweet and savory. I ordered the hibiscus berry tea, and my daughter ordered the mango tea. I had mine with lemon and honey in my first cup and lemon and a sugar cube in my second cup. The tea was super light with flavorful hints of the floral nature! With some left at the end of our afternoon tea our server offered us a hot cup or iced cup of tea to go... an excellent touch! Then our three tiered platter arrived in beautiful presentation. The bottom plate had cucumber and cream cheese tea sandwiches, a toast with a salmon spread and chicken salad, on a croissant. My favorite was the middle plate with the most amazing scone served with a little jar of strawberry jam and one with clotted cream, delicious! The top tier had an almond macaroon, a lemon blueberry tart, the most incredible blackberry frosted mini cupcake and a small parfait looking dessert that reminded me of a mini trifle. Needless to say, by the end we were all very full! Truly a delicious and delightful afternoon! This was such a fun and different experience, and right in our backyard! I will 100% go back again!

Yelp
The cutest spot, delicious snacks and the tea was great. Lots of choices for tea and good offerings on the menu. Service was quick and we were well attended to during our visit. Cutest spot for a date and many people were present in costumes.

Yelp
So sad to see this place closed. Was the best spot in STL for high tea. Had an amazing atmosphere and fantastic knowledgeable staff with some wonderful teas!

Yelp
We went here over the Thanksgiving holiday while I was visiting St. Louis. It's such a cute idea to meet for tea. The decor was festive and decorated for the holidays. We went around 1pm and had a reservation (which they recommend you make). It took a little bit to get seated as there was a huge party of 14 women ahead of us. But afterwards our waitress was attentive and service moved quickly. Many women were dressed nicely and even wore hats. We did tea and the option of the sweet and savory tower (afternoon tea)- you can pick whatever works for you, but we wanted a combo. The star for me were the mini quiches and the scones/cream/jam. But everything was good! For tea we tried the Naughty Vicor, Royal Wedding and Mango. All VERY GOOD. The Vicor had hints of vanilla, the Mango was bursting of mango pineapple flavors and Royal Wedding was floral and light. Afterwards, we ended up buying some loose leaf tea they sell in their gift shop to the side. The staff told us everything is imported from London and the owners were from there. Its a little pricey, but in my opinion the quality makes it well worth it. We would absolutely go back!! Overall experience 4.5/5 (wish yelp let you give half stars)!

Yelp
Lovely tea room. Really great food. Server was friends and gave us loads of information. The sausage roll was the best I have ever had even in the UK and South Africa (where they make good ones). The scone was also the best I have had in the USA. Came with clotted cream and jam. I had the Churchill Smoked Earl Gray tea which was fantastic.

Yelp
I came here with my grandma and mother, what a fun experience! We opted for the Afternoon Tea option which includes: one pot of tea of your choosing per person, three savory bites (Waldorf chicken salad croissant, salmon schmear crostini, & a cucumber sandwich), one scone with jam and clotted cream, and four sweet treats (poppy seed vanilla cupcake, brown sugar pastry, lavender lemon shortbread cookie, & chocolate raspberry tart). This was $40 . While everything was quite tasty, the food was preselected and not available for choosing specific items. The three of us all received the same thing, one of each. Our server was fine, but lacked attention to detail and left our table unattended. I ordered a Mango Pear Moscato (non-alcoholic) and saw it sitting at the bar for nearly 10 minutes. Overall, a pleasant experience to have once with the girls.

Yelp
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and treated her to an afternoon tea. I've been to the old and new location and the new location is way bigger and more open. The desserts are just ok but the scones and savory sandwiches are delicious. The service was good. The price is reasonable.

Yelp
Went here for a bridal shower celebration and it was perfect. Great for a fun date with the gals! Tea was AMAZING, food was pretty good. Servers were great and friendly. Price was a bit high, but paying for the experience more than the quantity!

Yelp
I just visited the London Tea Room at their new location at Locust and 22nd for the first time (have been to their old location several times). We were able to get a late afternoon same-day reservation for 4 people on a Sunday which was great. The new space is lovely, open and bright, with lots more space for the tables and an expanded staff. We had a nice server, and she helped us navigate the menu. All four of us got the Afternoon Tea. I ordered it vegan (this is a standard menu option!) and the rest of my party ordered the standard version. For tea we ordered: Emma (seasonal) Lavender and Spearmint Canadian Vicar Queen of Hearts All four teas were awesome. I'd really recommend the Emma and Canadian Vicar especially. For food I'm going to list off just the vegan items, and I'm guessing on some of them (our server was very new, only second day and didn't know the exact items quite yet): Cucumber sandwich w/ vegan cream cheese Crostini with tomato basil sauce vegan Quinoa tomato stuffed mini Croissant vegan Lavender Scone (vegan) with jam and clotted cream (normal dairy -- I gave it to my friends) Lemon shortbread sandwich cookie with buttercream frosting between (vegan) Strawberry cheesecake (vegan) Drop cookie with dried black currants (vegan) Millionaire peanutbutter shortbread (vegan) **again I'm guessing on the names of the items here! Had a lovely time, we stayed for about 1.5 hours and it was relaxed and peaceful with piano music (think the soundtrack from Pride and Prejudice). Despite having to drive downtown now (right next to the STL City Soccer Stadium!) this is well worth the trip! We will be back, especially with the higher likelihood of getting shorter term reservations or walk-in spots now that they're in a bigger space!

Yelp
This place is so cool! From the layout, to the decor and the main attraction of tea and small bites, I loved the whole experience. This is definitely a one of a kind, unique place you must visit if you're in St. Louis and you love tea. I wasn't sure what to try, so I took a suggestion from the waitress and I tried the coconut tea. I normally don't add cream and sugar to my tea, but after my visit, it's a thing for me now. The small bites were absolutely delicious and I loved everything I tried. They have wine selections if you want to add a little boozy fun to your experience. The service was pretty good.

Yelp
I'm kind of a tomboy. If I had my way, I'd wear yoga pants and a t-shirt everywhere. But there are times when I like to dress up. I decided to dress up to go to the London Tea Room. I mean, what if today is the day that royalty would decide to visit? Ha!! The beautiful thing is that while I wore a sweater dress and tights... it's 1 degree out right now... my friends were dressed very nicely in jeans. It doesn't matter what you wear. The service is spectacular. I had barely finished my water when they immediately filled it up. Let's talk about the food... presentation rules!! When they come out with a 3 tiered server you think "how is that gonna feed all of us". But it does. It was nice to try things I hadn't before, such as clotted cream. I didn't find that it had a lot of flavor, but was glad I tried it. I was even glad to try the sandwich with goat cheese. I HATE goat cheese. Although going forward, I'm gonna have to try it since this was so creamy and didn't have that nasty goat cheese aftertaste. The cucumber sandwich made me feel like a princess. I like cucumber sandwiches, but there is just something about having it made for you...crusts off (naturally) that makes you feel special. The chicken salad sandwich was really good although the bread, while it should be "tough" was almost too tough to cut and I needed to do that because of the large portions I couldn't hold it gracefully. The turkey with cranberry (?) sauce sandwich was truly a pleasant surprise. You think "oh...turkey. Great. I eat turkey everyday". But hold up... this was definitely elevated. The sausage roll (think pig in a blanket) was good. The biscuits had the right amount of crumbly goodness. The petit four was very sweet but had the right level of lemon in it. I didn't try the fruitcake or the chocolate cone. I did try the cookie. I can't remember what kind it was, but it was the plenty sweet for me. I'm just not much of a sweet-eater. Now to the teas. We had 3 different types at our table. Chocolate Chai, Mango & Canadian Vicar. Our waiter said this would probably be the last day for the Chocolate Chia, so I had to try it. It wasn't over sweet and was my favorite. The Canadian Vicar was really good. I was worried that that Maple taste would overwhelm the drink, but it didn't. Someone else at the table had mango tea. That was good and sweet, but I like the Chai better. Yes, I drank it with my pinkie out. This was a very fun place. I'd definitely go back again.

Yelp
OMG THIS WAS FREAKING AMAZING. It's expensive, but it's a freaking treat. You walk in and it's SO SWEET! Beautiful white tablecloths, clean tea bar, and a great menu. The service is okay, we came at the end of service so they were slowing down. One callout - they will take reservations pretty much until their kitchen closes so we were a little disappointed that we got there and we were pretty much rushed to order. I wish they would have that call out on the site or would have told us, we probably would have tried to make an earlier reservation. Everything we had was great, we were supposed to get a strawberry tartlet that we were all excited about, but it didn't make it because they were sold out or something. They did replace it with a macaron, but we were super excited for the tartlet so that was sad. The tea sandwich was so good, a salmon bagel, the soft and dense scone with Jane and clotted cream, and all the little desserts. I was worried it wouldn't be a lot of food but it was SO filling. I will definitely be back again, I think it's awesome for those of all ages. I want to give them another try at an earlier time point to prove my issues wrong because I'm confident they will! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Visited on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed our tea experience. The service was very friendly and the ambience is beautiful and elegant. The teas came out quickly but food took some time. Our group went half and half on afternoon and high teas. Our favorite teas were the Vicar, Mango Peach white, Persuasion & Mrs hughes from the seasonal menu, and Cream earl gray. There was a minty tea I wouldn't get again (can't remember the name) and the Dowager was a bit forward on the fruity notes (and bright red!). Food wise, we really liked the fresh cucumber sandwiches, sausage rolls, creamy curry chicken on croissants, avocado toast and earl gray tarts. The scones were also great with clotted cream and strawberry jam but I would have loved a non raisin option. Tomato basil savory scones were delicious. The staff was also really helpful with substituting vegetarian options or replacing the smoked salmon for those who don't eat fish. Would recommend!

Yelp
Everything about the London Tea room is excellent. The service is top notch, the food is delicious, and the tea, of course, is perfect. The ambiance is spot on. And the cute gift/tea area is great! Three friends and I had a reservation there on a Saturday afternoon at the same time as a large group that appeared to be celebrating a baby shower. To say the group was loud and disruptive is an understatement. The staff and manager did a great job at trying to reign in their rowdiness. I appreciated that the manager came to chat with us to apologize for their noise level. She was very kind and heartfelt. I can't wait to return to the London Tea Room!

Yelp
The London Tea room offers such a special and enjoyable experience with A+ service. You can choose from afternoon or morning tea-- both come with your own pot of tea. They have a couple dozen teas to pick from and changing seasonal teas. I really enjoy the Naughty Vicar. We always choose afternoon tea which comes with both savory and sweet treats. Morning tea only comes with savory. The treats are always changing but equally as fresh and made with high quality ingredients-- think finger sandwiches, scones and sweets. You may think it's too little at first site but don't be fooled it's the perfect amount for a filling meal. The space is bustling and on the weekends, I recommend a reservation.

Yelp
I brought my in-laws and my kids here for an early Mother's day afternoon tea and I love the interior and overall atmosphere. The London Tea Room truly made me feel like I was back in London for tea! Our waiter patiently explained all the different types of tea we could order (1 pot of tea per person). I like that they have a hot chocolate option "Wee Tee" for my kiddos and also several non-caffeinated tea options, including a mango tea that my kids enjoyed. The teas were all so fresh and aromatic. Our favorites were the Canadian Vicar and the London Tea Room Blend, but they were all fabulous. Orange Cream Rooibois with cream tastes just like an orange dreamsicle. The Wee Tea is $32.95 per child, a few dollars less than the cost of an adult tea, but you get almost all the pastries/sweets (1 less pastry than the adult tea, and the scone is smaller than the adult scone) so it's plenty of food and we even brought the leftovers home. We ended up ordering 2 afternoon teas and 2 high teas for the 4 adults. My favorites were the smoke salmon savoury pastry, and the earl grey panna cotta. Both were absolutely scrumptious. The plates also came with cucumber sandwiches, scones, sausage pastries, and chicken salad sandwiches. I would love to come back again; it's a great way to celebrate birthdays/Mother's day/bridal showers!

Yelp
New beautiful location but a little hard to find! It's located on a dead end street inside the Hyde Park building. Luckily a sign on the road directs you to the correct spot. The plating is beautiful and all the sandwiches were delicious. The chicken salad was one of the favorites! I really enjoyed the veggie sandwich(it was loaded with flavor) and the cucumber sandwich. I'm not a big fan of cucumbers but the sauce on the sandwich melded the tastes wonderfully. Everyone's tea was reallly good too! Even if you are not a big tea fan you will find one you like. Loved the sugar cube touch as well...maybe that helped? My downfall was we did not get our tea until about 10-15 minutes after we got our food items. We would have preferred them before. I feel the prices are quite steep for what you get. There is no a la carte menu if you don't like what is on the high tea or afternoon two option.

Yelp
I had an amazing time here with my mom the other day. It's the first time we've done a full tea service instead of just a cream tea, and we loved it. Not only was the food beautifully presented, it was so delicious. We got a mix of sweet and savor the foods, which was perfect. At first glance you may think you'll want more, but by the tine you get through the whole meal you're stuffed. Plus you get two generous pots of tea per person. This is a great opportunity to try new blends! This was also our first time to the new location, which is stunning. The tea room has an elegant vibe whiteout feeling stuffy, and it's a beautiful open space. They even have a larger retail area so you can pick up some tea and tea supplies on the way out (so much easier than their previous location). I was able to restock on my favorite teas easily. And if you love photo ops, they've got a really cool greenery wall with floating tea cups that's perfect for grabbing some pictures.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our high tea here (make reservations in advance). The tea offerings were varied though I would have liked to have seen a larger variety of decaf teas (I'd already had coffee beforehand), and the flavors were wonderful! I really enjoyed the lavender earl gray and our server even offered us tea to go since we had only finished one pot each during our res (each paid res includes 2 pots). The sandwiches were light and perfect for our mid morning res. The scones weren't my favorite but not bad. We wore hats for the occasion and really enjoyed our experience here. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Had 11 am reservation. They opened right after 11. A line had formed, so we waited to be seated. Service was a tad slow, but it was pretty full at opening. So many teas to choose from. Food was delicious . We went with Aternoon Teas, a combo of sweet and savory. Don't skip the blueberry lemon cake add-on. Great place!

Yelp
What a treat! This is definitely a special occasion place to celebrate. The high tea three tier is a sheer delight. The sandwiches made with crust less white bread( cucumber), croissants (curried chicken salad) and a crumpet( salmon spread). All were beautiful and tastey. The currant scone was crispy and delicate. Spread these with clotted cream and strawberry preserves was delightful. By the time you had finished these lovely tiers, another dessert tier awaited you; lavender short bread, passion fruit cake and macaron. All of this accompanied by naughty vicar or mango tea. Presentation was beautiful, service accommodating with just the right formality. If you have a special someone share tea time together and you will be delighted!

Yelp
The London Tea Room in Downtown St. Louis is quite lovely! There are three preset options to choose from on the menu: Afternoon Tea, High Tea and Wee Tea. I chose the High Tea because it came with 5 savory options and seemed more filling. It also came with a pot of tea with your choice of flavor. As far as High Tea goes, I did leave there feeling pretty full. I usually find myself stopping by a drive thru because I am still hungry afterwards and that was not the case here. I really enjoyed the chicken salad and egg salad sandwich. The portions seemed larger than most tea rooms. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Enjoyed Afternoon tea with mom. Made a reservation for a Sunday for her birthday. It was an enjoyable unique experience. I had the naughty vicar which seems to be popular and I can see why. Delicious. My mom had the Marsala chai. She enjoyed it very much. The food was the only thing that I didn't super enjoy. While filling and somewhat unique desserts to match the old English flair with a strawberry cheesecake bar, rock biscuits, apple tart the sandwiches were just ok. Everything felt premade and had a bit of a grocery store sample vibe. It wasn't bad per se but mostly eh.... The chicken croissant was decent but tasted like a grocery store pre made mix. The cucumber sandwich was fun. The salmon crostini was good but tasted like it was a store bought dip. The lavender scones were good but too overpowering for me. I'm sure others would enjoy. The service was good. You could tell everyone was hustling and it was busy. I appreciated the recommendations from our waiter on teas. Overall I enjoyed my first ever afternoon tea experience. I may try a couple different similar businesses for different foods and teas but I would say I will be back to enjoy more tea from here.

Yelp
What a fun afternoon experience! My mom, sister-in-law and I went to London Tea Room to celebrate a birthday and all enjoyed afternoon tea. LTR offers a few different tea experiences, Afternoon tea, High Tea, and Cream Tea. Our server was friendly and walked us through our options. We opted for the Afternoon Tea which includes tea, small finger sandwiches, a scone, and a mix of dessert treats. The cucumber sandwich is an afternoon tea staple but was just ok, while the goat cheese on bread and mini chicken croissant sandwich were much more flavorful! The scones were strawberry and chocolate and were served with clotted cream (yum!) and jam. The scones had a great texture but we would've preferred them sans the chocolate chips. Of the desserts, my personal favorite was the little s'mores cookie treat which had a cookie crust, a thick chocolate mouse and marshmallow layer on top! Normally I am a fruity flavor person but the s'mores treat wasn't overly sweet. And if you like champagne to complement you tea experience, LTR offers a selection of alcohol free sparkling wines and cocktails! We would definitely come back to LTR and will try the high tea option next time to try more of the savory offerings!

Yelp
High tea is just a delight. The tables are beautiful. The snacks perfect presentation and taste. Super knowledgeable servers. Unique (at to me) tea blends. Naught vicar always. Of note, I've not been to the new location, only the old location in tower grove.

Yelp
Beautiful tea service in St Louis.. perfect for an afternoon out with girlfriends, mother daughter date or a casual outing. The variety of tea available is mind boggling - you get a choice of 2 along with a tower of sweet and savory goodies. I got the most popular one called 'naughty vicar' and 'Darjeeling spring'. Also, Highly recommend the 'Mrs Hughes' and 'cream earl grey'. Loved these 4 flavors. The curry chicken sandwich, avocado toast were really good- cucumber sandwich and salmon toast was nothing special. On the sweet tray was earl grey tart, macaroon( superb), lemon mousse with raspberry swirl( yum).. but the cookie was dry and ordinary. Service was stellar and we could replace the salmon toast and sausage rolls with extra cucumber sandwich for my mom who eats only chicken. The scones were a little dry but were served warm with clotted cream and jam. Overall a great experience!

Yelp
One of the better restaurants in St. Louis. They had a good selection of teas and service was pretty good. I would check to make a reservation before coming. They had a Harry Potter event here that day and it seemed stressful for the staff.

Yelp
I was looking forward to my first fancy tea party experience, and The London Tea Room did not disappoint! It is located inside The Hyde building across from the waterfall/staircase. Our waiter gave us all the information and answered our questions about Afternoon Tea vs High Tea. We had a toddler with us who was not terribly hungry, so they brought her a hot chocolate in a tea pot! So cute! Our Jane Austen Afternoon Tea featured 3 savory items, scones, and 3 desserts. I ordered the Night's Vicar (yum!) and my two sister-in-law's ordered the Coffee Kisses (if you love coffee over tea, get this one). It comes with sugar, tea, or cream. We got pretty full from the desserts and savory foods. I have a wide taste palate, so every item was delicious! I highly recommend checking out The London Tea Room if you've never done high tea and are looking to try it out!

Yelp
Time for tea anyone? I love this little spot it was one of the first places I went when I moved to Tower Grove. I spent some time in London and was dying to shave afternoon tea. I took my boyfriend back because he's never had afternoon tea! If you want afternoon tea it's $34 per person. Since we were here are 10AM we opted for two pieces of quiche, two pots of tea my favorite one was Lavender Ear Grey, and blueberry scone! This is an adorable place for a girls lunch, or for your mom/dad and daughter tea time! Definitely don't missing out. The ham quiche is the best and most flavorful the spinach quiche is extremely bland but the sweets are delish!

Yelp
We've made scones, we've learned about matcha, we've learned about kilts on Tartine day! Just recently, we took mom to afternoon tea! All the accompaniments are always spot on and diets (gluten free/vegetarian) are always accommodated! This space is absolutely beautiful, bright and welcoming! We love LTR!

Yelp
Lovely tea room in St Louis. We had afternoon tea which featured both savory and sweet treats. Many choices of teas and gifts of all things tea! Excellent service. The wait staff was so knowledgeable and helpful. Attentive but not over bearing. Highly recommend

Yelp
This was my first time going to the London Tea Room in their new location, and it does not disappoint! I took my mom there for her birthday, along with my family. The ambiance is lovely, with lots of beautiful details-- the waterfall and greenery wall when you enter, the lovely velvet wallpaper, the high ceilings. Afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully presented, with a nice blend of sweet and savory, and of course scones with clotted cream! I had the Naughty Vicar, which is one of my favorites. My stepmom had a wonderful birthday, and both kids (11 and 14) loved the experience as well!

Yelp
Terrible Wee Tea, unfortunately. We went last year and the kid's selection wasn't great, but my kids ate at least half last time. This time they ate about 2 bites of it. $34 is an INSANE price for non-kid friendly food. The desserts were not good either. It was just a disappointing too-expensive experience. :(

Yelp
We came here 2 weeks ago at 10am, their opening time, and there was no customer inside. We asked if we get a table for 2. They said "reservations only", they can only give to-go tea. We came here to real British tea experience, not to-go cups. So we left. On monday,1 week ago, I made a reservation on Open Table. Once we got here, there was a piece of paper with handwriting on the door says "Moved to 1900 Locust" with today's date(10/15) written on it. This is very annoying and I will never try to visit this business.

Yelp
I have been to the London Tea Room a few times with my first visit there as a birthday surprise from a friend. We had a great afternoon tea service there. Their variety of teas are great, and they have a cute little variety of bakery items that you can buy in addition to a large variety of tea specific products, so if you have a friend who is a tea lover this is a place to go. We had excellent service in a beautiful atmosphere and I would go back there again in a heartbeat. It is a little pricey so be prepared to drop some dollars for the tea service.

Yelp
Ambiance was lovely. Service was excellent. Very welcomed and well taken care of on a high reservations weekend. Worth the drive. Food was excellent tea room faire.

Yelp
Going to the tea room is a great experience!! I highly recommend trying it just once if you haven't! Everyone gets their own pot of tea (I chose the naughty vicar - very flavorful!) for the restaurant and one to take home if you choose. Any of the teas can be hot or iced. I took the peach oolong home, iced & also really enjoyed that! Their chicken Waldorf sandwiches are top tier. I'm craving it now that I'm thinking about it!! I also liked the cucumber dill and the salmon, even though I'm not really a big fan of either normally. The scones were okay, not my favorite but it was neat to try clotted cream! The desserts were one of the best parts - especially the heart macarons. I will definitely be back again! Super fun morning!

Yelp
I'm glad I got to experience this with a great friend. They will soon move to a larger space with an extended menu! Can't wait to be back! The afternoon tea service was amazing. Perfect tea!!! With cute sugar cubes!!!

Yelp
We went for afternoon tea and we were there for about an hour and a half. You start with tea, each person gets two pots of tea so you get to choose from 2 flavors each. We got the Decaf Naughty Victar (a very simple, traditional black tea, still very good), the Lavender Earl Grey (this one was our favorite), the Peach Oolong (very peachy and sweet) and the Caramel Macchiato (VERY sweet with strong flavors). After drinking a bit of your first pot of tea, you get three tiers of snacks. The bottom were finger sandwiches, the middle were scones with jam and the top were bite-sized desserts. The sandwiches were good overall, the cucumber with dill sandwich was our favorite. The scones were perfect with the clotted cream and jam. Finally, there was a fun variety of desserts. It was all very delicious. $34.50 is a steep price, but given the experience, pace and service it was worth it. Afternoon tea is the type of experience you could have fun dressing, or if you prefer to keep it casually that is acceptable too.

Yelp
This place is small and cozy (tables seat 2 or 4), and there are 'afternoon tea' events in the much larger back room, which you need to make a reservation for. You order at the front and someone will bring your order to your table. You can select from a large menu of different teas, and there are also non-tea and light food options. Prices are mostly decent. There is an area in the main room where they sell teapots, mugs, cards, etc. Overall my visit was fine, though some staff could've been friendlier. I think I'd have more fun if I came for the 'afternoon tea.'

Yelp
This place is great for friends and family. It is very quaint but spacey, and the lighting is wonderful. The service is great, friendly, and patient. I love the high tea and the seasonal teas that you can get with it. I've loved every tea I have gotten. I always get the vegetarian high tea and the cucumber and chickpea croissant sandwiches are my favorite. Love going back and all the different themes!

Yelp
Great place for stop in, tons of options if you're a fan of tea. They have hot and cold options (as well as a French press coffee for those looking for a tea alternative). So many delicious scones, cakes, pastries and other food options; all of it looked delicious! There is a huge room in the back so plenty of seating. They also have the racks of finger-food cakes and what-nots to make it an authentic British tea party! They have tea pot options for 1 or 2 people or dozens of single cup styles and flavors. Fan of tea? You can buy all your favorites flavors either loose or bagged , and pick up all your favorite tea accessories, pots or cups. A little slow to order, but not too long to get our teas. It's quiet enough for a conversation but lively enough to know you're in a happening place. Wi-Fi is available which is nice.

Yelp
TL: DR - a wonderful relaxing set-up that really encourages you to take some time to enjoy the finer things. Plenty of tea options and delicious finger food to accompany good conversations and an enjoyable afternoon Came in for the afternoon tea. Had a wonderful experience. During covid, there were only three tables being used (about 50% capacity is my guess). Everything about the experience was great. You get a curated tea menu to choose from, with each individual getting to choose their own flavor. I got the mango pear white tea, which was super light with a perfect subtle sweetness from the fruit. Along with the tea, you get a tower of food. Ours came with three finger sandwiches (a full cucumber, curry chicken salad on a crossiant, and smoked salmon w/ lemon butter), two scones (with creme fresh and strawberry preserves), and some desserts (lavender shortbread cookie, macrons, meringue, and white chocolate mousse). The white chocolate mousse and curry chicken salad were my faves out of the tower. Beyond the food, the set up was beautiful. They had plates on plates, beautiful tea sets (saucer and a cup), and music that contributed to a peaceful enjoyable ambiance. All in all, it was a great experience that I think anyone can enjoy.

Yelp
Phineas was really easy to talk to and helped recommend a tea when I quickly stopped in. Atmosphere was calming and didn't feel rushed.

Yelp
Lovely place for some afternoon tea. My girlfriends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a reservation, and it wasn't overly crowded. There were multiple servers helping us with one main server explaining our menu items and tea options. We each got two pots of tea and a set tower of bite sized sandwiches and desserts. All of us were able to take leftover tea to go because two pots of tea per person is a lot! The food was decent, but I loved the teas and ambiance of the place - almost like you're in London!

Yelp
This was a fun experience. Took a friend here and she loved it too. I'll start with reason it is not 5 stars. We walked in and made our way to the back despite the lack of any instructions- either signage or verbal. Then we stood there for 10 -15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I finally asked a lady in front of us what the story was. We got seated ~1:10 and our tea time was at 1. Our waitress was very nice however the gal that appeared to be the one responsible for sitting folks and then later informing us our time was over was not all that warm and fuzzy. I don't usually comment on attire but I would have thought the business would want her to be at least a little dressier. All of treats that came with the tea were quite delicious. We each got 2 pots of tea, 3 finger sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream (an essential!!) and then several sweets. They provide boxes for any leftovers fortunately! After we gave up our table we went up front and purchased additional loose leaf tea to take home. I do think the price of the high tea is somewhat high but prices could be a reflection of the recent inflation.

Yelp
Delightful spot with traditional afternoon or high tea. We arrived when everything Jane Austen was the theme - fun trivia & Pemberly tea. Menu is fixed the tea choices are too many to list here!
