Where Quetzal’s Steven Molnar Goes in Toronto

"After service, I enjoy crossing the street from Quetzal and going to listen to music at The Little Jerry. They have an incredible sound system and feature different DJ’s and styles of music nightly." - Kevin Chau

"Further east on College Street is a cosy hi‑fi listening bar with a well-curated drinks list—vermouths, amaros, wine, beer, and cider—where you can pair your glass with a house-made snack like whipped butter brioche or a conserva; it nails the laid-back listening-bar vibe." - Coolstuff Team

Beautiful spot for dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. The food is incredible and light with sharing plates that fit a wide variety of tastes. Highly recommend asking what their specials for the night are. The tuna tartare was a standout! This is an incredible spot for a date night. Definitely recommend.

Google
An absolute masterclass in atmosphere and vibes. I go here on a regular basis for the music and late night dancing. The sound system is incredible, and they spin vinyl. A lot of artists frequent here. As if this already wasn’t enough, they have a delicious lunch/dinner menu cooked by some magical hands. The pave fries are insane Staff is super friendly and honestly a well rounded and really cool place to be One of my favourite spots in the city, hands down

It's a small but cosy spot! You definitely need a reservation to get in here though, moreso on a busy day like a Friday or Saturday. Calamari was soggy BUT very flavourful. The espresso martini was perfection Service was polite, accommodating, and welcoming. If definitely come back again to try more items. I can also tell there's more of a vibe here at night, I went during the day

Always a great time at Little Jerry. Love the intimate setting. Wine selection is insanity. Very thoughtful sound system that makes every corner a sweet spot for your ears. Midnight disco ball gets you irresistibly dancey. Team behind the bar is the best in town!

Google
A wine bar with surprisingly delicious food. Tuna tartar and squid were the star of the show, but every dish is delicious.

Google
Food offerings are tapa style plates so either you’ll have to order many to fill up or eat something before going. Food quality was good. Pave fries were nice and crispy with a soft inside, dabbed with garlic sauce and a spicy ketchup sauce on top. Sardines were also pretty decent. Personally thought the beef tartare was too overpowered by a mustard taste so that was disappointing. Both desserts were top: sticky toffee pudding and the salted dark chocolate pot de creme. For drinks they have a good selection. Atmosphere transforms throughout the night from a causal date spot (gradually darkening inside) to a bar (disco ball drops at midnight). It can get a bit crowded near the bar area if you don’t have a table. They usually have DJs that come through starting around 10:30-11pm.

Google
Perfect date spot in Toronto. Food blew my mind away. The squid ink fettuccine with scallops is a must! The pasta is made fresh everyday by the chef himself. Service by Jodie was great.

Yelp
Went for dinner and drinks at 7, which is when they open. I'd suggest going after 8 pm cause that's when they start playing vinyls and it's more vibey. I got a cocktail with mezcal and grapefruit, which tasted good but I'd recommend sticking with wine, beer, or even amaros as they have a lot more options. For food we got the pave fries, steak tartare, buttermilk fried calamari, and tuna tartare. The pave fries are the best! The steak tartare is a little salty with capers, pickles, and the added salt. The fried calamari was also good. A little on the sweet side. Even the tear drop chilies don't pack too much of a punch. The tuna tartare was also amazing. I could eat more than one plate of that. I'd go back and try the duck next time. We just weren't hungry enough. The service was great and the place is small but cute.

Yelp
Cute space with an audiophile vibe, popular for drinks and to catch your favourite DJ. We went for dinner (made reservation) and we're seated in the limited dining area near the front window. The menu is limited but inspired. We had the pickle plate with bread. The pickle had nuclear grade vinegar so the bread was a welcome salve for the palate. Nice bread by the way. Next, we had the fish (can't remember which kind) but it was sushi-like, served cold with a lovely citrus jus and accented with thinly sliced jalapeños. The best dish of the night. Delicate but flavourful with a kick. We took a left turn with the next dish, the fried cheese, which could have been a dessert. Very sweet and molassesy flavour with some nut crunch over lightly fried cheese, which was softer than halloumi but still held its form. It was a really nice dish but a little too sweet to eat between savoury courses. We finished with the panko encrusted lamb chops. Very nicely done. They sat on a sweet creamy sauce and had something inexplicably green as an accompaniment, probably a pea mash? That wasn't very flavourful but also not offensive. The service was prompt and friendly. The noise level was a bit high with the music selection quite eclectic and sometimes overly so.

Yelp
The music was great - I appreciated it. However the service was really pushy. We couldn't decide where to sit, we were constantly pressured to buy more drinks and order food, even though the menu is small. I dunno, maybe it was an off night, but it was opposite of the vibe I wanted in a place with good music.

Yelp
The food is really good. Small menu but done right. The service is very laid back and chill. I like that type of vibe. The music in this place really rocks. Did I mention it also has many good wines to pick from. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Wanted to like this place, as another local business recommended it. Honestly the establishment seems like it had a cool vibe, the person at the front told me it was a "Sound Bar" before COVID... Now they are adapting to the current situation. I ordered the Tofu sandwich, as it really caught my eye on the sandwich board. All of the flavours sounded delicious! It was okay, wouldn't go back for it, at $11+ for a super thick deep fried slab of tofu that didn't seem to be even marinated. The bread pairing was... a little awkward Jerry, soft on soft kinda leaves you feeling like you had a peanut butter sandwich on wonder bread. I decided to make the addition of the sauce salad, which was $.750 ish... and that was my mistake. I highly do not recommend the salad! Tasted like I was eating dish soap with a dash of Dijon. I'm not sure if they used tarragon, rose water or anchovies?! Just too much going on and nothing light, sweet or bright. Was a real let down. I honestly want to support small business trying to survive COVID, but I got so grossed out couldn't even eat the almost $8 side salad!!! I'm giving this place 2 stars, I did like the vibes, and the idea of a "Sound Bar" love good music!! I only tried 2 menu items, maybe other things are better! But fir $21 lunch... I kind have expectations of having my mind blow!!!

Yelp
Such a cool and clever place. Our vermouth cocktails were divine, and the room and music are absolutely charming. Very special spot.

Yelp
Really enjoy this spot. Sat in the timeless patio area out front. Close enough to the charming music inside the restaurant and the bustling College and Spadina sights&sounds. Fish was flipping brilliant and corn 3 ways will blow your mind (3-ways) that's treway. Nice furniture, both my booty cheeks and eyeballs were happy (my right booty cheek, Gilberto, was especially impressed). You'll have a great time here, if you have any sense.

Yelp
From the minute you walk in, you get the feeling you're in a 1970s speakeasy. A bit lighter and brighter than a modern speakeasy the decor and atmosphere make you feel like there should be high mock turtle necks, huge sideburns and smoke in the air. The place has a DJ bar, split level layout and some of the best oversized speakers you'll ever wish you could bring home. We had some wine which was priced like you'd expect on College West and a few tapas items from the menu including the Arctic char which was delightful. There are 10 or so food items and an extensive wine and drinks list. For a nice date or some fun with friends pre or post dinner this is a great spot in the Bathurst and College area. 4.5 stars

Yelp
Simply the best. Incredible staff, food, wine and most of all MUSIC. This place is made for audiophiles and is one of a kind in Toronto. The sound system, the analog mixer (Condesa Carmen V) and VINYL ONLY! So much attention to detail in everything down to the paper they use for their menus. So much love for this place !

Yelp
Best experience I have ever had in this area! This hidden gem is a definite must try. Reasonable prices, good portions and high quality ingredients. The staff were very friendly and super attentive. 10/10

Yelp
While the vibe and music is good, the owner and her staff are extremely entitled and trashy. They expect tips as if everyone owes them tips and a regular 18% just doesn't cut it. They will serve you alcohol past 2:30am though. But I was here for a friend's birthday who was a regular. He asked for a bottle of wine to go after closing. We had been tipping 20% or more all night but a bottle of wine that was simply handed over from the fridge was also expected to be tipped for like entitlement. Regardless of what anyone says, what does not change is that a tip is not deserved by default, it has to be earned. The owner came outside and announced in front of strangers that my friend (taking his name) did not tip. The owner knows very well that my friends are not locals and do not know the norm of tipping here but instead of informing them, she decided to belittle them in front of everyone. A trashy place operated by classless and entitled ownership is what this dump is.

Yelp
Very trendy spot that isn't trying too hard. Great staff who are very friendly. Menu is small but has all the right flavours. Highly recommend a visit for dinner or even a late night snack. Great for any night of the week. No hostess but it wasn't too difficult to get a table. The tuna is incredible.
