This restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a selection of meats that you can't easily find at other places, which is quite intriguing for the curious foodie. However, securing a reservation here can be a bit of a challenge due to its popularity. While the novelty is worth a try, the overall atmosphere might not encourage frequent visits, partly because the ventilation isn't the best and the cooking fumes can be quite noticeable. On a brighter note, the meal ends on a high with their delightful chocolate fondue served with a variety of fruits—a truly indulgent treat that's hard to resist. It's a place to visit at least once for the unique offerings，especially during your travel.

Love it! Especially Buffalo meat, my favorite! Try tartar! So amazing! Everything is fine, except that the light is a little too dim, probably for the atmosphere. Everyone is very enthusiastic, and the explanation of the menu is also very clear. Overall, it is very good.

We came at 1:30pm pm on a Saturday. We were able to get the last walk in table so that was nice. The server was very attentive and quick with water refills/ changing each course. We had the fondue dinner course (hunter/beef and scallop). The bread and cheese fondue was delicious! The bread was soft enough to soak up all the cheese with ease and we got a little cup of garlic to add to our fondue as well. The meat could have been better, but I guess the fondue/hot stone is the main selling point of this place so the cut/quality of meats doesn’t matter as much. The meat doesn’t come salted and is introduced with 5 really flavourful sauces (wouldn’t say they complement the meat, but they’re very western flavoured sauces. I think one was honey garlic and another was something mixed with teriyaki). I personally would have enjoyed better cuts of meat cooking on the granite stone but the overall experience was fun. Chocolate fondue was great! Chocolate was not too sweet and just the right temperature to enjoy each fruit with.

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Even the short wait at the door was pleasant as the manager took my drink order as I waited. The waiter guided me through the meat fondue special on the chalkboard and it was a wonderful unique experience. I will definitely repeat.

The food was amazing. French onion soup was the perfect portion when a meal is to follow. Only a 2$ upcharge so we went for it. We both had the Alberta fondue which included beef, bison, elk and venison. The meat chunks were good portions, and the sauces complimented the meat perfectly. The one thing I will say is the hot rock sprays quite a bit of grease on you because the tables are a bit small. But worth it I'd say. Chocolate fondue was warmed by a tea light, pretty cold but the fruit selection was lovely. Atmosphere looses marks because it was so dark. Little dark red candle light on the table did not help. People beside us were using the flashlights on their phones to cook their food. And the layout was awkward to get to the ladies bathroom specifically. No signage, and tucked in behind a wooden wall. Good thing they give you maps when you walk in.

Great food, but very slow to start dinner service- took a half hour to get our drink order and almost 45 minutes to take our order… this impacts the overall rating for our visit… food was pretty good, the French onion soup was a 5/10. Plan for a 2 hour dinner. Atmosphere was a “fancy rustic”, and having dinner with the family made the wait more tolerable. Service levels are not aligned with premium prices.

We visited from Toronto Group of 5, that 4 of us ordered from Fondue menu. What we ordered The meal started with a soup - Chicken tortellini- I could give them 5 star only for this soup! It was hands down one of the best soups I had in restaurants. The Tarragon gave the soup a fresh and unique taste which was so good. Then the people who ordered Fondue received their cheese Fondue - starter. This was very delicious too. It cane with roasted garlic and pieces of bread —- yum! Mains: came raw and we cooked them on a hot stone (rock) with garlic butter. Interesting experience it was. 1- Strip steak (10 oz) - came cooked from the kitchen - 4/5 I had better steaks before but the gravy was the best I ever had. I chose the potato as a side, not too impressed but something new I tried. 2- the exotic fondue: 4/5 something new - I didn’t even try. My husband liked the fish. Elk meat was soft as per him. 3- chicken fondue; nothing special. 4- the hunter: I tried the buffalo meat it was soft. This food was liked too. 5- local beer was great, huge pint for 6$. 6- fruit chocolate fondue as dessert was also a 5/5. The chocolate was delicious and fruits (strawberry banana apple and cantaloupe) was fresh Our server, Stephanie from Ireland was fun polite and helpful. The experience is once in a lifetime. The restaurant ambience is great with beautiful architecture and design inside. Washrooms were clean. Remember, It is a pricey restaurant for sure, but worth the experience.

This is one of those restaurants that people say you have to try at least once. I have now tried it once for you if you are OK missing out on 10 little pieces of meat that were tough , a really slow server as in 20 minutes for one alcoholic drink to our table, And a chocolate fondue that to be honest was horrible. I will give them five stars for their French onion soup however size wise you're looking at about one cup for $12. Is it worth it? There are so many amazing restaurants in Banff. I'd skip this one. For four of us with tip worked almost $500 with drinks. And yes, the phone is so you can call other tables to hook up, sleazy completely.
