Grey Dog is a fantastic spot! I loved the cozy decoration and the welcoming atmosphere. We came during the last 30 minutes of brunch, and the food was still excellent. The pancake and fried chicken were crispy and delicious, and the breakfast bowl with French toast is a must-try. Plus, they have a happy hour starting at 4 PM, making it an even better place to hang out. I’ll definitely be back!

Dont forget to reserve a table if plan to come on a weekend. Packed! But food is great, service is fast and attentive. Pancake and french toast is moist , yummy. Our latte is strong they have good selection of coffee.

I was disappointed. Other than that, everything else tasted great. My sister had the Chorizo Hash & loved it. I did try it and it was delicious, I definitely recommend that one. I got the kale caesar salad and tomato soup; starting with the former, the salad tasted extremely flavorful, and the chickpeas were a great touch as well. Likewise, I loved the tomato soup. I definitely recommend coming here for anyone in the area!

This place is outstanding. A perfectly pleasant and high-energy atmosphere. That screams Bohemian. I loved this place and the food is amazing. The drinks are awesome. It is absolutely the place to go. It made 6 more worth a trip, and Kayla, the manager, was an outstanding people leader. Her team was efficient and professional service-oriented. And in her direction was in comp you control of their surroundings. I never felt more welcome in a place.

I was disappointed with how overrated this place was. When we were seated the table was very sticky. I couldn't place my silverware down without concern about putting food on it later. When we got our food, it did not look like the photos I saw online. It was very mediocre food for the hype it got, both in presentation and in taste. Fortunately mimosa was good and our waitress was very nice. With that said, I don't think I'll be coming back. There are definitely better places for brunch in the area. I think they were understaffed. I was not dining at peak hours, yet the wait times to order food and drinks were extremely slow. My friend's order was not correct and it was impossible to flag anyone down.

Big portions! Semi pricey costs. Great service (it helped we had a brunch reservation). Love the eclectic interior. The pistachio and Avocado salad was good, but had so much Kale. Bang for your buck I guess but wish I had more toppings

Good vibes at The Grey Dog - Nolita! Vegan burger was greasy but good. The turkey bacon club was delicious but messy. Loved the wings and Brussels sprouts. Nice variety of drinks and food on the menu. Our waiter got our orders in quickly, but only checked on us once. Would recommend this spot for a catch up with friends or a second or third date - inside and outside seating.

Came here for brunch as soon as we landed in New York. we saw great reviews on yelp and thought to give it a try. I got the Mexican bowl with chicken. It was good, but if I go again, I won't get the chicken, it was kind of dry. The service was good, they were very helpful and attentive. No complaints.

Came on a Saturday when it just opened and was seated right away. Thank goodness, it does get packed quickly! Didn't realize, but they have locations in Chelsea, Union Square, West Village, and Flatiron. Ordered the Grey's Dog's Breakfast ($19) which includes a choice of eggs of any style, home fries, choice of French toast or pancakes, choice of bacon, sausage, avocado, or chorizo(+$1). Had so many options that I took awhile to choose and went with scrambled eggs, home fries, French toast that came with some blueberries and butter, and sausage. Such a huge plate, but ate it everything and it was delicious ! There is seating at the bar and enough seating in the back. Although I would say the tables were a bit too close to each other because it was literally few inches away from the next table. Also, a nice and clean bathroom is a plus! Only one though haha

Before I talk about the food I want to say that the vibe of this outdoor dining area is 10/10. They were super warm, cozy, and relaxing. I do value the atmosphere just as much as the food at a restaurant. We had the Grey Dog's Breakfast and my boyfriend had a Classic Omelette. They were both amazing! For my boyfriend's omelette he was able to choose 3 fillings for his omelette and it also came with homefries and a toast. For my grey dog's breakfast, I had my sunny side eggs, french toast, home fries, and avocado. None of the dishes were too greasy or salty; they had just the right amount of flavor. Plus our server was exceptionally friendly, He even checked up on us and greeted us while he was clocking out and heading home. I was grateful for that server's thoughtfulness and dedication. Overall, I will definitely come back on another sunny day to sit outside and enjoy this delicious meal.

Our visit to The Grey Dog - Nolita on a Friday morning was amazing however finding parking took some time which is typical in New York City. Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The ambience of the restaurant was delightful. Our server was very friendly. We started with two lattes, which were well-made and satisfying. For our main dishes, we ordered 3 Mexican bowls, with one being shrimp instead of chicken, and we added fries on the side. The food exceeded our expectations, with each bowl being delicious. Despite not being a fan of cilantro rice because the cilantro sometimes overpowers it, I found that the cilantro rice served here was not overpowering. Which made it enjoyable. However, I did wish my bowl had a bit more tortilla crisps. The fries were also great, perfectly crisp and seasoned with salt perfectly. Overall, The Grey Dog proved to be a great spot for a satisfying brunch, and I would gladly return for another meal.

I've been to the Grey Dog in the West Village. This Nolita location is very similar. A laidback island vibe with grass umbrellas above the tables. Light wood. Very cool and laid back service. Colorful drinks. I had the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato), which I've had at the other location. I enjoyed it, fresh ingredients and wonderfully chewy and thick bacon, but kinda wish I had ordered the chrozio potato hash with peppers. This is mainly a brekkie/lunch/brunch spot. Eggs, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, French toast. Dinner is available, but again, sandwiches, burgers, salads, bowls. The cocktails are a little on the sweet side, but not cloying so. I probably wouldn't come here for dinner, but I've been here a few times for breakfast/brunch, and will continue to drop in here for a casual/leisurely bite and cocktail.

Get the Brussels. We came for Brussels. We left full of Brussels. Get the Brussels. Did I mention....BRUSSELS?! Best Brussels I ever had. Cannot stress that enough. Grey dog spritz was good too but didn't compare to the Brussels.

Came here to sit at the bar for a little bit. The drinks are quick and delicious. The service was great and super friendly! There is plenty of seating and great lighting inside. The atmosphere is great - full of energy but you can still have a conversation. Very cute inside decor as well!

Came here on a Saturday with a breakfast reservation and was seated right away. I got the classic omelette with spinach, peppers, and jalapeños. It came with home fries and toast. The home fries were so crispy on the outside - just the way I like them! The omelette was really delicious too and I loved the kick from the jalapeños. The interior is nice and fun. The tables were pretty close together so it felt a bit cramped. There was only one bathroom so it would have a line. I would come back again to try some of their different breakfast dishes.

Great casual brunch spot! Stopped here on our way to do some shopping and the service was very quick and the staff was friendly. My favorite parts of the Grey Dog's Breakfast was the bacon and pancakes. The bacon was thick and super crispy. Downside was the soggy potatoes. Solid, average breakfast/brunch spot.

My friend and I popped in lunch before going to the see the Judy Chicago exhibit at the New Museum a few blocks away. I generally like the Midwest cafe vibes at Grey Dog and thought my fellow Michagander might as well. She did, and we both enjoyed our food as well. I opted for the the crispy chicken bowl which was a nice balance of flavors and textures. Service was great.

The food is delicious and at a good price. You can also order brunch items all day, which is a huge plus. This is a great spot to come to with friends and it was not very loud or crowded when I went on a Sunday around 5pm. Service was a little slow, but the food came out fast. The portions are also perfect.

Good, reasonably priced food in a cute, fun setting with attentive service. I loved the pistachio avocado salad with added salmon. The garlic shrimp appetizer was tasty with nicely toasted bread to soak up the yummy sauce. The margarita was too sweet.

So happy to have found a solid breakfast spot in this area. Opens early and actually has staff willing to provide stellar service. We've been to a bunch of other local spots that are full of staff and void of actual service. Not Grey Dog. Anike was the best waitress. Friendly, attentive, and overall awesome. She single-handedly waited on 10 tables at a time and didn't skip a beat. The decor is so fun. A lot to take in and tons of artwork to appreciate. I honestly can't find a single fault with Grey Dog. The coffee was soooo good! My French toast was absolutely delicious. I don't know how they make that butter but I want the recipe. My husband had the avocado toast and wasn't disappointed. The fried egg was cooked to perfection. We both left not even a single morsel of a crumb. It was that good. I highly highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!

I appreciated that the Grey Dog has happy hour deals everyday with yummy snacks and drinks to offer. I ordered two refreshing mules and the Moroccan bowl for dinner on a weekend. There was no wait to be seated (although the place was certainly busy), service between ordering and receiving was timely, and the waiters were proactive about checking in. I enjoyed the food and general experience at this location along a well-populated street and would be glad to visit again.

We were happy to have stumbled upon The Grey Dog for a much needed late lunch. The menu has something for everybody, ranging from all day breakfast to hearty salads and sandwiches. We loved the rustic, laid back atmosphere. The wait staff was very friendly. Our order: Classic Omelette - Generously portioned and stuffed with your choice of three fillings. We chose white cheddar, mushroom, and tomato with no regrets! Sweet potato fries- Perfectly sweet and not too salty! Breakfast bowl- Unique and filling combo of eggs, avocado, sweet potato, roasted broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms. Just the energy boost I needed for an afternoon of shopping. This is the type of place that doesn't really have a theme or specific style. It is cozy, eclectic, and has its own unique vibe going on. Our waiter was super friendly although I always get bothered when they don't say goodbye to the customers. The menu is vast, from vegan options to burgers, salads, soups and sandwiches. Pretty American. Happy hour was nice as the wine was 5$ and wings were 10 for 12 I do not recommend the mozzarella and tomato flatbread, it was the first thing we ordered and it was soggy and pale and had a strange flavor of onion and odd herb that just didn't sit right. The waiter was super gracious and apologetic so I appreciated that. Overall chill place, music playing, fun atmosphere if you're looking for something out of the ordinary.

Great location and trendy. Love the happy hour specials. The nonalcoholic ginger beer is to die for. The service was prompt and efficient. I give the regular fries a score of 4 out 5 under my McDonald's Fries Index which means they were really good, you just got to eat them the second it hits the table. Will come back to try their Burger because they look stunning.

This place was BUSTLING, even at an odd hour on a weekday! Music is also loud... so would suggest skipping if you're looking for a chill, quiet ambience. I had the mexican bowl, which was AMAZING. It was a hearty mexican dish, but make it gluten free! They have a lot of GF and VEGAN options! Also recommend their sweet potato fries :) If you're looking for a nice brunch/ lunch spot minus the crazy Ruby's waitlist, i say check this place out!!

The vibe here is so great, felt like I was at a nice little eatery by the beach or something. Fun place to come to with friends :) The food was soo good! We loved everything we got. The sweet potato beignets were incredible. The tomato and mozzarella flatbread was delicious. I don't like brussels that much but the brussel sprouts here were really good! Would definitely come back!

Such a cute nook in Soho! I came here on a Friday afternoon & it was packed! I was on the waitlist for 20 minutes before we were seated so you should make a reservation beforehand. I got the grey dog breakfast & my friend got the pulled short rib Au jus sandwich. The grey dog breakfast was your typical American breakfast platter with French toast, eggs, & a sausage. I also felt that my dish was pretty dry. The pulled short rib sandwich was very tender and flavorful especially if you dip the meat into the sauce they give. Service is good! They were also very busy so kudos to them for the service. Overall, this place is a nice place for brunch but it's nothing mind blowing and the prices are pretty decent for the city.

I came here Sunday at 1pm, and it seemed like the crowd was dying down. The wait for a table for 3 was just a couple minutes, and we got a nice corner table. Actually, it seemed the best tables were for 3 or 4, and if you came only as a couple, you would be stuck with very claustrophobia seats. I would recommend not going for two; it's simply too tight. Also, the music was too loud; I could barely hear myself speak. There was also a bell to signal to the bussers that food was ready which was a bit startling too, as we sat right next to the kitchen. Finally, our table was very wobbly. I'm still grateful we got a nice table otherwise. As far as the food goes, the Greg Dog serves classic brunch food cooked generally okay. The burger was under seasoned and bland, but it was juicy. The breakfast bowl was on the smaller side but had good variety. If you're into brunch, you'll probably like this place. Pass on the burgers though. I was actually going to get the Philly cheese wrap but they were out of beef.

Great happy hour! I came around 4pm on a Thursday and had a glow-up mule and the fried artichokes. The drink was tasty and pretty to look at. Could have used a splash more alchy. The fried artichokes were amazing, so light and fluffy and flavorful. I just wish there were more of them. I am glad I went on HH, because I would not have paid full price for them. The drink was $7 and the fried artichokes were $8. Quick service, great location, I think they may have changed their menu recently cause there were a few faves missing.

I had chicken and waffles and a croissant sausage egg & cheese sandwich. The chicken and waffles was good, the chicken was better than the waffle. The croissant sandwich was delicious! Definitely would recommend it to anybody who walks in. Service was ok not bad . The ambiance was very cozy . They played some funky music from the 60's which was very cool lol . Me and and friends had brunch here so i can't recommend any lunch options.

Get the French toast and the pitcher of mimosas. They were so friendly. Don't take reservations, seat you immediately. Great vibe. Would return for sure.

Walked up to this place for lunch while shopping in the area. Overall, the service and atmosphere is great. The food is okay. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. The service was pretty great. We were able to get seated in about 10 minutes and we got our food quickly after ordering. The ambiance was nice as well. It was lively but not overwhelming. Plus I didn't feel like I was going to bump into anyone trying to leave the table. It's definitely a nice place to grab food with some friends. Now the for the food. I ordered the house burger which came with fries. I thought it was reasonably priced because other places sometimes charge the same for a burger and comes with no fries. The burger nothing special. I think for the area and price it met my expectations. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't disappointing. The fries I though tasted good, I just wish they had more crunch. I wouldn't go out my way for this place, but would stop again if it was convenient.

Pretty good experience overall. We went at 2 PM on a Saturday and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table for 2 inside. The service was quick as they immediately brought us water and then came back a few minutes later to get our order. I ordered the house burger with fries and genuinely enjoyed it. The fries weren't my favorite as they're on the skinnier, softer side, but they were still good. The burger has 2 patties and they were cooked well-done. The environment was pretty great as well. They played a variety of music from Jungle Boogie to Dua Lipa's Levitating. The music is fairly loud, so if you enjoy a quieter environment then I wouldn't recommend it, but I actually really enjoyed it. It wasn't too loud that I had to yell across the table, but I couldn't hear other people's conversations which was nice. They only have one single-use bathroom so I did have to wait about 7 minutes in line, but it was clean and fully stocked with toilet paper. Overall I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick, good bite, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

We came here on a late Monday morning and were able to get a table in the back quickly - especially since the restaurant was super busy! The restaurant had excellent energy with a bar as well. The menu was extensive with a lot of good options and we ended up getting the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with fries and the baja fish tacos with fries. For drinks, we got the Arnold Palmer and coffee. Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich: This was one of the best buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten. It was perfectly seasoned and had the perfect crunch. The fries were wonderful as well and came with a large portion size! Baja fish tacos: The tacos were good, but only came with two tacos, both containing very little fish. Not enough to share, and definitely not enough to be full. Also came with fries which again, was wonderful. We were seated all the way in the back by the kitchen, which allowed us to take in the whole restaurant. Understandably our server was busy, but we had a lot of difficulty getting her attention and noticed other diners seated in the back section with us, having the same issue. Overall, it was a great brunch spot and we would definitely come back again!

Super popular spot and hard to miss while strolling through the city. Stopped here on my last day in the beautiful city with the craving for brunch It was a Friday around 11ish and we were given the flexibility to sit wherever we'd like. Boyfriend and I chose to sit outside to soak in the great weather and our server came within 5 minutes. Got us water and some time to look over the menu. I'm from Texas so the prices were a little high in my opinion. A little over $17 gets you eggs, choice of meat, house "fries", and a personal serving of pancakes or French toast. In my opinion it was nothing out of this world but it was good . Service was friendly and people were definitely rolling in. We did pass this place at night and it was PACKEDDD! Will definitely have to come through again to see what that was about.

Stopped in here after an event nearby and I think it's a great spot to catch up and grab some drinks with friends. They played good music, the decor is fun, and it's pretty spacious. The only reason I didn't give this a true five stars is because my food did take a really long time but I will say, the gentleman who took my order did come out and apologize due to them having a lot of takeout orders, which I totally understand. I ordered a Mexican bowl which was really delicious but when I asked for more sour cream, they told me they were out for the night... Which made me sad lol. The bowl definitely needed sour cream. Aside from that.. I thought that the prices were pretty fair. They had a very nice variety of drinks... And even some festive, cozy, warm ones for the cold weather. The bartender was super cool and social. I would totally come back here to try more of the food because I did really enjoy the Mexican bowl & thought that their menu was pretty large and interesting!

Portions are great. Larger than you would expect. It was an enjoyable meal but hardly memorable as I found the food to generally be very plain and not seasoned well (or with anything flavorful beyond salt and pepper). There was nothing really "new" done with the home fries or the eggs that had me wowed. It was all a classic, very standard faire kinda meal. And that's okay! Just not my personal preference. But if you want a meal where you you want no surprises, you'll love this. If you love citrus or mint you will LOVE the French toast I requested a croissant on the side (and really shouldn't have because the portion was so huge) but it was flaky, buttery, and crumbly and I would've eaten it with nothing on it. They're busy (if you come on weekends) so make sure you make a reservation or have time to spare for the duration you'll be having to wait.

So happy to have found a spot with an actual veggie burger! Most places now only have impossible burgers which I'm not a fan of so this place automatically is a favorite just for having a regular veggie burger. The burger itself was so good, it was a really thick patty and it held together amazingly which is rare for a veggie burger. The fries weren't the best, but honestly that could have just been because we got lunch delivered and they were the last thing I tried so they had just gotten cold by then.

Our least favorite restaurant in NYC.. Great service, beautiful decor, good presentation of food. With that being said, the food wasn't good. We ordered 4 items: a club sandwich with sweet potato fries, a plate of potatoes with eggs & bacon, a grilled cheese with tomato soup & short rib hash. Short rib hash was delicious. Everything else was mediocre & the club sandwich was inedible. The chicken was flavorless overcooked & hard. The grilled cheese was a bit soggy with oil. Also we ordered hot chocolate, which had no flavor. We did ask for the club sandwich to be removed from our bill because we didn't eat it. Wouldn't recommend & would not back.

Our reservation was at 7:00 pm, we came early, checked in, had all of our party, and finally got our food at 7:45. Next, right after we got seated, we were immediately asked what we wanted to order. ??? Furthermore, the table we had were two small tables pushed together. For five people. A picture is added for reference. My friend and I both ordered the chicken sandwich. The chicken was super dry, the bun was super dry, and their coleslaw was like 6 leaves of spinach. ???? If you come here don't get the chicken sandwich... our other party members had sandwiches who said it was yummy. Throughout the entire hour, we were only given one bottle of water, once, for five people. Also their music was pretty bad.

Food was immaculate. There was no wait time on a Sunday night indoor seating. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we were all set. The music is blaring so everyone's trying to talk over it- the place can get super loud. The hot chocolate was foamy on the top and tasted mediocre so I don't recommend getting it. The fish tacos were delicious but can get a little messy so definitely ask for napkins. The setting utensils don't include napkins. We got a grilled cheese with dipping tomato sauce as a shareable. The texture has just enough crunch to it and the flavors complement the tomato dip. They had no more french fries so my friend had to pick another side for her Cubano sandwich. They were also just running out of pickles and oat milk for the hot chocolate. I still like the variety of menu options.

This is a great place to come during lunch or especially after work because the vibes here are on point and the food is also on point. They serve a different type of food, but this is always a good place for some good, crispy fries, some good sandwiches/burgers, some good loaded nachos, and good drinks. Their service is really friendly and on point and their outdoor patio seating area is also great, even for colder weather, as they have heaters on top of every table/seating. The fried chicken sandwich was really good, as the chicken had a good crispy outer and really juicy and tender on the inside. The bread/bun was also really fluffy and didn't feel like bigger than the chicken. The sweet potato fries were slightly salted and were fried crispy to perfection. I love sweet potato fries and this def. hit the spot. The buffalo cauliflower was also really good. The cauliflower was crunchy and the sauce coated each flower perfectly. I have come back and ordered the same thing because this is SO ADDICTING.

After a morning of shopping in Soho, we found ourselves looking for lunch. Many of our previous favorite restaurants were quoting like 45 minutes to an hour. We came across Grey Dog and took a glance at the menu and thought we should give it a try. We waited like 10 minutes. We flashed our covid pass (Maybe in the future- this would sound weird, but hey future toddlers. Go and look up pandemic 2019). Make sure you use the yelp check in- it got us some beers. I got the pilsner. Quite tasty. We ordered the grey dog sandwhich and the chicken sandwich. The chicken was flavorful and moist. I think the upgrade to the sweet potato fries is worth it. I recommend getting that than the french fries. It was a nice dinning experience. No qualms. Highly recommended for future considerations.

Always a great time here! The food was great. I will say, they changed the menu, and have a limited selection of vegetarian options that aren't fake meat. For vegetarians or vegans who don't mind fake meat it's great, but for a vegetarian like myself who doesn't like fake meat there were limited choices. Still delicious!

Came in because everywhere else had a wait - but was so pleasantly surprised! It's a Michigan bar/restaurant (Go Blue!) and the vibes were energetic inside. Staff is SO friendly - our waiter understood our love for the happy hour and made sure to help us fit in a second round just in time. Food wasn't anything mind blowing, but still good. Fries were cold, though.
