This place was highly recommended to me, and it didn’t disappoint. The cinnamon swirl pancakes, which were a must-try, were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sweet treat. I also tried the Morning Glory sandwich, which was recommended by the staff and was quite high on the menu. The service was great, and the hot sauce they gave us was incredibly spicy and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Great atmosphere and service. It was not crowded on a Tuesday and seated promptly. The atmosphere was good! Seated under the shade. The food was average, but the different menu options were good. The spiced lavender mocha was super tasty! Unfortunately, they had a disappointing stuffed French toast. From prior google reviews, they had a lot more fruit. The toast was still tasty, but I was hoping for more of a stuffed feel than a few pieces of strawberry. It looks like the quality changes day to day so be aware. The pork belly eggs Benedict was pretty good, pork was a bit dry. Overall a pretty good experience with friendly staff.

The smoothie was delicious. Great cappuccino also, the atmosphere was cozy and they treat guests like family. Definitely worth visiting but be careful with the eggs!

The service is great, and be prepared to have a little wait but the food and lattes are so worth it. Chilaquiles were packed with flavor and paired well with egg whites. It had the right amount of spice that I was looking for. For the table we ordered a sweet, the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. For lattes please be sure to try the Mexican Mocha. I cannot wait to go back.

I was craving an avocado toast and the menu says it comes on a bakery bread with rosemary olive oil. To my disappointment the bread tasted bland and not fresh. I had to return it and they were super nice, immediately took it back and offered me to order a different dish. I hesitated to order something else that also included some sort of bread and as I’m not a fan of breakfast potatoes I switched to something sweet. The French Toast was amazing! The brioche was soft and flavorful and the berries and whipped cream complimented it perfectly. They reimbursed me for the toast and even gave me a discount and sincere apologies. I would definitely come back for something sweet but probably would not order the bread again unless they change the bakery or switch to a different sort of bread. The French toast is a 9/10.

Not what I expected from the amount of customers willing to wait 45 minutes for a table! Great customer service but the food was mediocre at best, Nothing special lacked flavor and composition. Requested crisp potatoes and that equated to burn and blackened potatoes. Very disappointing and dissatisfied with the meal. Atmosphere was noisy, and uncomfortable seats. Only the coffee was great.

We came here for lunch on a weekday and were seated quickly. They serve breakfast and lunch so that was nice. We ordered the stuffed avocados, the Southern California omelet, and their burger. The portion sizes were generous and they split the omelet and burger since my husband and son were sharing those and those portion sizes were very filling. Service was very good. Very attentive. They filled our water several times. The restaurant is casual and cozy. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors. I like their simple decor. The food was average. Very filling but just okay. Good menu selection. Parking was easy during this time but I know it can get challenging at different times.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Nice ambiance, but food and service were just ok. We were looking for a nice breakfast place in the area and this place had high marks. It certainly looked very promising, with cute decor inside and out and a crowd that seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were sat inside at a cozy booth by a friendly hostess, and we got the following: Matcha latte: Very good! The matcha was smooth, not overly sweet, and had a good balance of earthy flavor with a nice creamy texture. Definitely a highlight of the meal. Soyrizo scramble with breakfast potatoes (shared): The scramble was decent, but the soy chorizo was a bit bland and lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. The potatoes were crispy, though, which was a plus. Service: While the staff was friendly, it felt like they were understaffed or distracted. Overall, I'd say the experience was just ok; not sure it's worth a return visit.

We were told to come here by a local and it was AMAZING! We tried the cinnamon swirl pancakes and WOW is all that I can say. They were crispy and soft at the same time. The icing and the walnuts were a perfect addition. The morning glory sandwich was good! It could have used a bit more Gouda cheese but it was super tasty. The hot sauce was very good and now I need to go buy some haha. The service was impressive and attentive. We sat inside and it was very homey feeling.

Seated within 10 minutes when very busy so that was awesome! Perfect spot pre-La Jolla adventure day or even shopping day in similar area. Very Berry Smoothie was delicious creamy & refreshing. Stuffed French toast was amazing has a cream inside with strawberries, powdered sugar, butter & syrup what is there not to like. Crab cake melt was delicious melted cheese, avocado, lettuce & a Parmesan crusted/toasted bread. Also had a side salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing. Cottage fish tacos were ok but crab cake melt took the crown. Waitress was very nice & attentive.

Nice place by La Jolla with adequate indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were friendly, and very knowledgeable, especially for restrictions with celiac (strict gluten-free). They were able to let me know they are careful about cross-contamination and that they have a shared fryer, so I should avoid those items. I got the soy chorizo hash, which I substituted with soft corn tortillas instead of the crispy fried ones. The soy chorizo itself was very delicious, savory, and accompanied well by the black beans. You can't go wrong with some has browns. I would definitely return to try out some more brunch items.

3.5 for the food, rounding up for the ambience and service. I got the tuna melt with a side of fries; it was very okay. The arugula completely overpowered the sandwich and it was pretty bland overall. I had to douse it in hot sauce. The bacon was a nice touch and I liked the tuna itself. Wish the sandwich arrived warmer, and the fries on the side were over-fried to a point where the centers were hollow. Not pillowy soft potato inside like I would have enjoyed, just crisp chips at that point. Good portion size for the meal; I was full after having only half. I also tried the grass fed burger and the stuffed french toast. The burger was bland, but the french toast is great for anyone who likes sweets for breakfast! A very good take on french toast. We arrived at almost 1PM on a Tuesday and the place was packed! What seemed like the manager got us settled down and held some quick conversation which was nice. He even gave recommendations for what to do around the area. While I didn't get to see what the inside of the restaurant looked like because it was too packed, I enjoyed the view of the street from where we sat outside.

This brunch spot was so cute! Outside and inside seating. We did go during rush hour on a Sunday . Wait was 45 min but food is so good so I wasn't mad at all. I got the pork belly Benny and Yum, left no crumbs lol! I also got the Cinnabon and that was really good! Ate that up too! Our server(forgot his name) but he brought out an extra Cinnabon for us girls to share! All I know is he was working outside and he has tattoos! Will come again!

Former employee Jason Peaslee purchased the restaurant in 2018 and now there's a second location in Encinitas. [Parking]: There's free 90-minute street parking available. Finding a spot wasn't too difficult at 7:30 AM on Saturday, but by the time I left at 8:30 AM there weren't many available spots left. [Amenities]: The restaurant was already 50% full at 7:30 AM, but there was no wait. This is a dog-friendly cafe with plenty of outdoor patio seats. [Menu]: The obvious popular dish to order is the Eggs La Jolla Benedict (breakfast menu) - a dish that has remained on the menu since 1992. Other popular dishes include Stuffed French Toast (breakfast menu), Eggs Benedict (breakfast menu), Capellini Crabcakes (lunch menu), Crab Cake Melt (lunch menu), etc. *** Eggs La Jolla Benedict (Poached eggs, Canadian bacon, balsamic mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomato, hollandaise, over an english muffin - $19): It took about 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen, but I can see why it is a popular dish. Bacon was good and the mushrooms had a slight vinegary taste. The roasted tomato added a nice touch. There was also a slice of pineapple which gave the dish a hint of sourness aftertaste. I ended the meal by dipping the unseasoned potatoes in ketchup. The potato side was just okay and didn't have too much flavor. Both hot sauces (DadBod Kombucha Hot Sauce and Ring of Fire Original Habanero Hot Sauce) tasted just alright. *** Overall this is a typical brunch spot with a cozy Southern California coastal vibe that also serves some savory egg benedicts.

A cute brunch spot in La Jolla with a nice, covered outdoor seating area and cottage-like indoor seating area. The hostess was dressed in kinda a colonial maid outfit. The food and service was wonderful. We came here around 10:00 am on Saturday and was seated right away. Soon we see a line build up, so somehow we lucked out. What we ordered: + Antojito benedict - a Mexican twist on eggs benedict. The meat was delicious and so flavorful, and the homemade sopes were yummy. + Avocado smash - smoked salmon on avocado toast with lots of fresh dill and capers. Wish there was a bit more avocado, but good overall. One thing I wished they had was a side order of a single pancake. I'm such a sucker for pancakes, but didn't want to order a whole stack. Overall, a great place for brunch/breakfast.

This spot was perfect for a brunch outing! We swung by early on a Thursday morning, and despite the crowd, the service was impressively quick. I went for the chilaquiles, and they were a hit--full of flavor and paired with some tasty potatoes. Hubby enjoyed his veggie omelette, and kiddo loved her pancake. We also ordered some fresh watermelon and orange juice which were pretty good. I have to mention the scone that came with our meal--it was simply divine. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in La Jolla!

This place was really good! Service was great and the food was excellent. We ordered the matcha late, coffee with Mexican chocolate, cinnamon rolll, crab benedict and the stuffed French toast with strawberries and everything was mouthwatering! Would definitely come back when we visit

The staff is super friendly and warm welcoming. The food knocked our socks off. Compliments to the culinary staff. They are solid as a rock. I had the Antojitos Eggs Benedict. They're outstanding. Great recommendation by Kylee who took amazing care of our family. My wife had the Morning Glory Sandwich! It was definitely glorious. That's a fact! The kids pancakes are huge in portion and come with 2 per order. For our 2 and 4 year old children, one order would have been enough to share. Also the side of bacon is 4 strips. A very generous portion. The staff exceeds your expectations by being one step ahead of your requests and needs. They anticipate and execute seamlessly. The food runner (really nice short, slicked back hair) dropped off our food, ketchup, and two hot sauces, paused and made eye contact to see if we needed anything else with a genuine smile. In my humble opinion, a happy, friendly staff makes all the difference in the overall experience. One thing that stood out to me is that they not only give crayons and a page to color for toddlers and kids, but they also have these fun wire toys that keep the kids entertained really well. The patio is perfect for the matching weather. We honestly can't wait to be back in San Diego to make a return visit.

We got the stuffed French toast with bananas and the La Jolla Benedict, and they were both amazing! Looking at all the different food options I don't think you can go wrong. There was a bit of a wait but once we were seated the food came out pretty quickly. All the servers were friendly and came and checked on us multiple times. We sat outside and they have such a cute little patio area.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and waited around an hour for a table for 4 (put our names down around 11). It's a hugely popular place so definitely expect a wait especially on weekends. We decided to be masochists and found the $50 off $150 deal online and proceeded to order over $150 worth of food for 4 small humans. We tried the Benedicts, scrambles, salmon salad, bacon and granola bowl. All of them were great, my personal favorite was the salad. The scone that came with the scramble was also a nice change from the standard slice of toast. If I were hungry, I probably wouldn't wait another hour+ to get food, but if I had time to kill I'd return!

Came here with a group of friends for brunch and I absolutely enjoyed the food here. I had the Milanese Chicken Sandwich and the Stuffed French Toast. I don't eat bacon so I asked for the sandwich without it, but I very much appreciated the waitress offering to add some avocado on the side as a substitute. The sandwich tasted great! I also shared the Stuffed French Toast with some friends and it was awesome. Loved the cream and strawberry filling combined with the maple syrup. Definitely recommend ordering this dish. I will note that the portion sizes are pretty large so I would recommend sharing plates if you aren't too hungry and want to try different things. We ordered mimosas for the table as well in three different flavors: orange, tangerine, and watermelon. I was pleasantly surprised by the watermelon flavor as I am only familiar with orange juice mimosas. Have to say that the watermelon flavor was my favorite. The ambiance of the place was really nice and cozy, but I didn't get to experience it much since our party was sat at a table to the side of the restaurant. But this didn't bother me too much since our party was on the larger side (11 people). Note that there will likely be at least an hour wait as the place is small and popular. It also seems that they only take your name at the door, but you could try calling ahead as well. Would be great if they incorporated Yelp Waitlist for an easier waitlist system. Overall, I definitely recommend this brunch spot!

Decent brunch spot in a popping beach and culinary neighborhood with decent service and food. The space was packed. I was given a 30-minute wait estimate for 2 but got called back in under 10 minutes. Kind hostess and decent service, where I was regularly checked on without pressure to leave. I ordered the La Jolla Benedict with a mushroom replacement for the bacon. The roasted potatoes side was perfectly crisped on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside -- hard to do for smaller potato slices. The benedict had an English muffin base, poached eggs and a thick hollandaise. Of course, benedict quality decays very quickly as the English muffin base sogs; however, I couldn't help but be reminded of the delicious Cove House biscuit base that was somehow immune to that. The two hot sauces (Ring of Fire habanero sauce & kombucha hot sauce) were both great flavor enhancers and condiments for the potatoes. My iced matcha was served in a to-go cup.

Nestled between the hilly streets of downtown La Jolla, the cottage is a classic breakfast joint near the infamous La Jolla Cove. The inside, where I sat, is cozy and the venue also offers outdoor seating. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because parking is difficult. Best scones I've ever had!

Beautiful Abundant Delicious This quaint little local breakfast spot was packed when we arrived. We were seated rather promptly and made comfortable on the cute patio! The menu is very creative. The food is Fresh and Delectable! We enjoyed every bite! Una was our server and she was delightful! Food was served promptly enough and we never felt rushed! Relaxing and dining under their beautiful umbrella system . A must stop when in town!

Holy cow there is a reason why they have over 5 thousand reviews and a consistent 4 star average!! First of all the ambiance is just adorable. It is the perfect envision of what a cottage should look like. It seemed like there were people waiting, but maybe they were just standing there getting ready to leave, because I got sat right away. Not even a 5 min wait! I came in wanting brunch, but I love looking at what everyone is else is eating, and was captivated by the burger and fries lol. My sweet waitress Kimberly recommended her fave Crab Sandwich and agreed that their french fries were a popular, tasty choice. I mentioned I originally wanted French toast, so she said why not get both! I loved that idea. My food looked incredible from the second I got it. The fries were reminiscent of a WAYYYY BETTER quality Jack in the box curly fries. I died and went to French toast heave. Everything was perfection! I couldn't have been happier! You have to go here!!!!

Great brunch spot with a freindly staff. The location is great. We scored a rockstar parking spot and were seated right away and then the crowd came. The wait staff provided great recs. The coffee was perfect. If you are looking for a Delcious brunch spat look no further.

The good: Great flavors, the lemon ricotta pancakes and antojito benedict were a perfect way to start our day. Fruit cup for the kiddo was great (more than just some bland melon). Plenty of seating both inside and out, with the patio featuring plenty of umbrellas for that morning sun. Service was friendly and helpful with the well-sized menu. The not-so-good: Along with the rest of the area, the prices are a little steep ($65 for breakfast for two). That's really the only knock, as we enjoyed the rest of our meal. Friendly host who sat us down at the table (forgot to get his name), and we made conversation for a little bit. All the staff and servers were very friendly as well and checked in on us often. We came on a Friday for brunch and luckily didn't have to wait too long for a table. Also managed to snag a parking spot in front of the restaurant as someone was leaving. It usually takes us several circling around these streets to find parking whenever we come this area for brunch because there are several popular cafes all next to each other. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, the salmon hash, and the braised beef hash. Pancakes were good. We felt the hash entrees were a little off in the portioning of the protein & potatoes. It was a lot of potatoes (potatoes are my fave, but I thought this was just way too much) and not enough of the salmon / braised beef to balance it out. We also didn't eat the biscuits (scones?); nice touch, but I guess not something I expected with hash entrees. I think a second egg and more of the choice of protein would be a better complement. Overall, it's still a good & popular cafe in La Jolla. Looking forward to trying different items from their menu next time.

We loved this little breakfast spot in La Jolla, truly feels like a cottage. Visiting from out of town, it can be tricky to know where to go for a decent breakfast. I would say the research paid off. It was a 45 minute wait on a Saturday morning around 10:15. They do not appear to take reservations. Staff was excellent, service was slow but it was busy, so understandable. We were able to sit outside on their umbrella dotted patio. Food was very tasty. Not pictured is the wild caught shrimp omelet which was reportedly delicious with the house made scone. I didn't try the Monterey scramble (pictured) but it was well received! Morning Glory Sandwich: nicely balanced flavor for how many components were packed in this little number. Good portion sizing, home fried potatoes well seasoned. The sandwich has fried eggs, a couple bacon slices, melty smoked Gouda which gives a hint of smokiness, some veggies (tomatoes, onion, arugula - could have used less greens), and really yummy lemony aioli on generously buttered sourdough. Would check this spot out if you need a good, elevated breakfast in La Jolla without crazy prices!

Came here knowing to expect a long wait (about an hour on a Sunday), but food was excellent and service was great! The restaurant is so cute and the lavender lemon muffin was a standout. Solid burger and I love battered fries.

Unfortunately we didn't get to eat here today. We waited inside for someone to take our name down for 10 minutes just for someone to let us know that the line is outside. Very disappointed when we checked in the wait was 30 minutes.

The cottage is the best breakfast spot in San Diego! Not only is their food absolutely delicious, but the customer service and friendliness of every server there is off the charts! I came here for brunch with a couple girlfriends and got the eggs Benedict. It came out almost immediately after ordering and tasted so fresh and delicious! I 100% recommend this spot and can't wait to return!

Hash didn't have a lot of beef, crab cakes were good. The jam with the hash was unique. Breading on the fried chicken made it taste very katsu like.

A LaJolla landmark, I went with my brother for Breakfast, always a little wait on those gorgeous fall days weekend days in LaJolla. They have an amazing menu, almost everything looks delicious. The service was excellent, and the food just as tasty. We had a couple of their omelets, which were delicious. Always a great meal!

Food was really good. We got the stuffed French toast and the cinnamon swirl pancakes. Nothing wrong with the food and drinks came out really fast. I thought the defense up smoothie was only mid tho. All in all would recommend.

The Cottage is my favorite/go-to brunch spot. Is the wait long? Yes. Is the parking horrible? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. I have dreams about their crab cake benedict (not officially on the menu anymore but still available upon request) and their brioche french toast (stuffed or regular): divine. Don't forget to order a Mexican mocha and a mimosa or apple juice for all the non-drinkers. On top of the quality food and charming patio, you'll also be well taken care of. Through all the hustle and bustle, the servers are still attentive and have good attitudes. I am not a morning person but I will get here at 7:30am on a weekend to beat the crowd. That's how serious I am about this place.

My cousins were visiting from out of town so we decided to meet at the cottage in La Jolla, a standby favorite. Dad and I split the salmon hash and were pleasantly surprised it came already split. Others had omelettes and the avocado smash. I also ordered my favorite Mexican mocha which was yummy. While the food was good the memories from my previous visits was better. I came here around 2:00pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. Upon walking into the door I was greeted by the staff and was told it could be around a 40-60 minute wait. I put my name down and they have a nice texting service that alerts you when your table is ready. Luckily, the wait ended up being only around 20 minutes. Our server brought us to a little table and it was cozy inside. Definitely a small interior, quite quaint, and definitely had cottage vibes. The food menu was full of great options making it hard to choose, but I settled in the crab cake melt and got the fruit bowl as the side. I was hesitant to get the fruit just in case is was soggy or subpar - but I'm glad I got it. The fruits were so fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. It is the best fruit bowl that comes to mind. Riding the high of that I took a bite of my sandwich and wow! Again, I was not disappointed. The bread was perfectly toasted with a subtle buttery flavor. The ingredients were so fresh and created a delicious melody. I have been thinking about this meal since I left, it truly was magic for my taste buds! I also got a hot chocolate to help warm up on this chilly and rainy day. It had good flavor, but was more of just a warm chocolate - I loved the light but rich whipped cream on top! I hope to visit La Jolla again just so I can eat here! Hopefully it won't be raining next time, as the patio space looked lovely.

For a brunch spot, I thought this was alright. Nothing special nor the best. This place has been opened for a long time and we wanted to really try it because of this place's long history. The service was good but the food was not up to par with what we expected. We ordered the Baked Brie, Chilaquiles, Torta Ahogada, and the Crab and Proscuitto Benedict. The Baked Brie was good, but there was just too little cheese in the cup to go along with the toasted crostini. And also, we felt that the mushrooms didn't really pair well with the cheese. I ordered the Chilaquiles and it wasn't really that satisfying. My favorite part was honestly just the eggs and I felt like the dish wasn't seasoned well enough. The soft tortillas in the Chilaquiles was underwhelming to eat and it felt lackluster. Out of everything, my friend's dish with the Torta Ahogada was my favorite. The flavor and seasoning was much better compared to the other dishes honestly, I wish I got that instead. It's a December Special so definitely try this out if you're here.

Cute place to sit outside and enjoy beautiful La Jolla. Came here for brunch for my last day in SD with one of my friends. Very cute vibes and sweet staff. Food was a little bit more pricy then normal brunch prices I feel like. But overall the quality and taste were great. The portion sizes were generous. I got sweet and she got savory so we can try both. The watermelon mimosa was great! French toast was soft and porkbelcy was great but a little hard to chew. Would come again!

Really good brunch spot and the portions are huge! Definitely worth it for the price and highly recommend the stuffed French toast for a sweet brunch pick and the morning glory for a savory meal. The service was amazing and the staff is so kind. It does get busy on weekends but the weekdays are pretty chill, and has great outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather!

tldr: still solid but not as good as I remember I used to go here a decent amount when I was in college as my go to brunch place in SD so I wanted to try it again. I usually get one of the Benedicts and whatever else I feel like. This time I got the crab cake benedict, the crab and prosciutto benedict (not the same as the crab cake) and the crab cake melt. I remember the crab cake being really good. Overall they were tasty but I didn't like the crab cake this time. Everything was just too salty for me and the crab cake wasn't crispy. The eggs for the benedicts were also very vinegar flavored and not consistently cooked, which I can understand since it was very busy and they had to probably cook a bazillion eggs to get out. The spiced lavender mocha was really yummy though. Not too floral and just the right amount of spice. It honestly tasted like a lavender hot chocolate. We also ordered the watermelon mojito, watermelon mimosa, and sangria. I really liked the mojito but my friend did not. In his words it was too minty but I enjoyed it and the watermelon and vodka tasted good together. As a mimosa, watermelon probably isn't the best flavor to pick. It just tasted weird to all of us. The champange was fine but the mix was kind of bitter? The sangria was really sweet. The sweetest sangria I have ever tasted lol. If I come back, I might just stick with the french toast next time.

TLDR: Tasty LOCAL salsas, welcoming staff, and superb Eggs Benedicts. Give this place a visit if you feel like breakfast / brunch with beach breezes without the sand. - - - - - - Feeling like breakfast / brunch near the beach but not on the beach? The Cottage is one of those places. I have to admit I was nervous at first since I don't enjoy pancakes or eggs benedict. However, I gave it a try nonetheless since this felt "classed up." Our server was quick with the waters, and my friend and I ordered eggs benedict. Although he had the original, I had the mix of Mexicali and Antojito. I've always had unpleasant upchuck afterwards at other restaurants - hence PTSD - but these were DELICIOUS and did not come with aforementioned unpleasant experience. If chorizo isn't your cup of tea, you might not enjoy it... I'd be lying if I said I didn't have second thoughts after seeing that it had chorizo. However, they tasted great, and were enjoyable. The Antojito was equally as tasty with braised beef and a cup of black beans. In addition to the Hollandaise dressing, they also let you try some local - YES LOCAL - salsas (support small businesses!) You know i had to do some background research... down to ferment and Ring of Fire - bookmark these salsas! If you have the luxury to try these salsas, you will likely be buying bottles, too. The green salsa was tasty, tangy, and powerful. The red one... oh buddy does it hit but it is also balanced by sweet. It burnt so sweet I ran back for more and went through cups of water!

The cottage is a sweet spot to grab brunch and catch up with friends! The outdoor seating area is perfect for the San Diego weather with options for heated or shaded, depending on the season. The food is large portions with fresh ingredients. I would say the food is well worth the price. We didn't try any drinks, but they looked pretty tasty! My friends and I went on a girls trip to San Diego, and couldn't decide where to go to breakfast in La Jolla. We stumbled across The Cottage on Yelp and wow, we are so glad we did. Everything was outstanding. Despite coming on a busy Sunday morning, we were seated quite quickly (around 35 minutes). Our table was indoors, with an extremely comfortable and welcoming environment. Every staff member we spoke to was knowledgeable and friendly, without being over the top. Everything we ate and drank exceeded our expectations. For drinks, we had fresh watermelon juice and café au laits. The café au lait was served in a large mug, and was delicious. As for food, two of us had the pork belly Benedict, and one of us had an amazing braised beef hash. We also got the fresh baked buttermilk scone and lemon ricotta pancakes to share. The buttermilk scone was incredible. Served warm with a sugar top, butter, and strawberry jam. It wasn't as dense as a typical scone, and I would almost call it a biscuit. I would drive back here from Orange County during peak traffic to have that scone again. In summary, our experience at The Cottage set up a wonderful start to the day. I can't wait to return with my boyfriend and treat him to the meal I've been raving about to him for the past week.

One of the best brunch places in San Diego- and for a reason. Tried everything on the menu- all drinks too and all great! Parking is a hassle. Great service!
