From her pop-ups at bars in the hood wayyy back in the day to her first storefront across marianos to now - tarnish has always had the best jewelry. Then I got to riding a motorcycle and the love affair grows, lol. I'm so grateful for this gem in the neighborhood from moto shit to hosted holiday pop-ups in the back of the store to clothing, candles, sunglasses, purses, and more. Always new stuff to check out and walk in and say hi. ❤️

If you're a woman who rides a motorcycle or wants to, you have to check out Tarnish. They've got lots of great gear (helmets, jackets, gloves) for your ride and lots of stylish and trendy accessories, clothes and jewelry that's worth checking out even if you don't ride. I got myself a Honda motorsports hat and a keychain for my bike key. The owner is warm and welcoming and the store hosts monthly women's bike nights and other events when it's riding season - May through September/October. So, really it's not just a cool store but also a place to find community!

I never thought I would shop at a Biker Shop- but Tarnish is very cool. I found some wonderful things and Nicole was so helpful! Her rental apartment upstairs is first rate with comfortable beds, complete kitchen, lovely bath and great location near downtown. Very clean.

Racist staff, told us to put down the helmets if we weren’t buying anything even though we were only in the store for two seconds and barely got to see if we wanted to buy one. We’ve been trying to replace our old bitwells with a Bell helmet and liked the grey one they have and as we were looking at the helmet we were asked to put it down in a very rude and condescending manner, in front of other customers. Really bummed us out especially since is a women owned business I thought they’d be welcoming, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save your money and go to Cycle Gear for real motorcycle gear.

I can’t say enough good things about Tarnish. I shop here all the time and always find incredible one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing, and accessories. This is honestly the only place in the Midwest I know of where you can find quality women’s motorcycle gear. They offer riding gear exclusively for female riders—think jackets, gloves, helmets, boots, and more. I especially love the vintage jewelry, particularly the turquoise pieces, which are becoming rarer and rarer. Plus, they showcase fantastic local and custom artisans like Bird Trouble, Ahki Design, and Acid Queen Jewelry, whose unique designs make my collection stand out. Whenever I wear something from Tarnish, I always get compliments. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help, making the shopping experience even better. If they don’t have what you’re looking for in the store, they’ll gladly assist with special orders. If you’re in the area, Tarnish is a must-visit. You’ll walk out with something truly unique every time.

Such a delightful place! I ended up purchasing more items than planned, which was quite amusing. The clothing selection is really impressive. Originally, I intended to buy riding gloves, but I left with a t-shirt, side bag, gremlin bells, and of course, the gloves.

This is such a fantastic store. The costs are likewise really affordable. Some of these genuinely astonished me. I just came here after reading all of the great reviews on site. They said that this store has a lot to offer so I came here, and they are all right! Cause I bought so many motorcycle accessories and also jewelry for my wife. I think she will like it because they look so lovely and I can imagine it to her, wearing it. I couldn't be happier since I discover this shop! My adventure was fantastic!!! I was blown away by the assistance and knowledge I received from the staffs here. They are all very knowledgeable when it comes to motorcycle, I just recently bought mine that's why I'm not that well-informed about it. So, I am very thankful for their advise and some tips. When I have more time to take it all in, I will definitely be back to make some purchases.

This store is amazing! I just happened to find this place while on my birthday trip to Chicago, and I'm so glad I did. I had been looking for a leather riding jacket for a while, but didn't have many in person options in Columbus, OH (unless you want to buy a Harley jacket from a Harley dealership). The help I received was personal and insightful, and I am happy to say I found my jacket! I could not recommend this store more highly. I just wish I lived closer!

Very cool store. Reminds me of items and stores you can find in Texas. The prices are also VERY reasonable. I was actually surprised at some of them. Unique jewelry and purses too. Will def be going back to make some purchases when I have more time to take it all in.

This store kicks serious a**. Nicole, the owner, has impeccable style and the pricing is great for what you're getting. Hurry up and check this place out before the owner realizes she should charge more for her products!

This is by far my favorite boutique in Chicago. Nicole the owner is the best shopping buddy you will ever have. Whether you are shopping for yourself, or someone else, she will ask you all the right questions, and steer you towards the best purchases. If something breaks or if you realize the ring you bought was too big, no problem, she will help you figure out a solution. Such great customer service. The store is stocked with really trendy and interesting jewelry and accessories. The style is kinda boho/biker/gypsy/native American. She has also been expanding her home decor selection, which has been great for house warming presents. And it's so reasonably priced, it's unreal. Next time your out grocery shopping at Mariano's or if you're shopping around for a cool birthday present, you should really stop in. It's local and it's awesome and is really deserving of your support!

Tarnish is an awesome shop with lots of cool items that will appeal to everyone. I was referred here by a friend, as I was looking for a Roland Sands motorcycle jacket and was hesitant to order online because I wanted to make sure I got the right size the first time, instead of buying and returning an expensive jacket several times until I found the right size. I was SO happy to find a place that carries RS gear (they also have an awesome selection of Biltwell helmets as well). I came into the store with my wife and 18 month old daughter, and Nicole the owner was super accommodating and friendly. My daughter was running all over the store - just like any 1.5 year old would do - and Nicole was so cool about it. She wanted to make sure I would find what I was looking for and was hanging out with my daughter while I was trying on jackets. With my ladies in tow, I was not able to bring my bike with to make sure that the jacket fit properly and she even said that I could bring it home first to make sure it fit! As nice of an offer as that was I came back the next day with my bobber (and more uninterrupted time). Not only did Nicole hold the jacket for me so no one else would buy it, but she let me take it out of the store to make sure that it was comfortable to wear on my bike. She even took pictures to make sure that the jacket I wanted provided the right coverage. Now THAT is customer service! It was clear to me that Nicole was more concerned with me getting the right gear, than making a quick sale which provided a refreshing retail experience. She is an excellent businesswomen who takes pride in her establishment. I love this place, and will certainly be a repeat customer. I highly recommend you check it out - you won't be disappointed.

Love this store! Everything is a mix of biker, rock, Americana. Really cool. Reasonable prices. Picked up some great jewelry. If I had the money to spend, I would have picked up several leather jackets. The girl working was super duper friendly!

A boutique I visit often in Chicago. I usually buy their jewelry that comes in a great range of prices. Lots of cute home décor, jewelry, clothing, and biker gear. They have Bandit Brand (look it up and you'll get somewhat of an idea of the theme of the store - Modern Rock & Roll, maybe?) Definitely a cool place and the owner is friendly.

These ladies held it down for small businesses saturday! I sipped a Stella while staff helped me find the perfect presents. I thought their handbags would be out of my price range, but I was so wrong! They've got an awesome variety of accessories. The jewelry is so affordable and cute! Loved this spot.

I love this place. I've stumbled here a few times and am so happy. The shop owner is amazing and gives me HONEST styling opinions! I found so many great affordable pieces ranging from 14$-40$. She has a couple higher end pieces by Vanessa Mooney that I've been eyeing. I will be in there again soon!

My friend and I were visiting for the weekend and we found this gem of a shop close to where we were staying. The jewelry is fantastic and we ended up buying house decor, leather purses, clothes and lots of jewelry. The second time we went back we met the owner Nicole, who was lovely, helpful and so nice to tell us where she found each item for her store. You could tell that she cares about her business and only wants handpicked items. I am looking forward to visiting Chicago again to stop by. P.S. The prices are great. The jacket my friend bought is also at Nordstrom for a lot more $!

I really like this place. I always find cute things here! It is a small shop, but the owner has cool and unique taste in clothes and jewelry. The clothes have a little bit of an edge to them and are priced from about $20-$80 depending. A cute top might be about $35 or $40. They also have some biker jackets and things. I love the jewelry, which is pretty cheap, but very cute. There are a few quality pieces that seem to be made of better metals that are a little more pricey. Can't wait to see the new items in stock every time I go in. If the prices were a tad less and the store was a bit bigger I would give 5 stars. I hope they expand!
