At the cozy, bustling Tam Tam, dive into a vibrant menu of modern Vietnamese dishes that surprise and delight, from savory wings to signature desserts.
"Tam Tam's wings are messy, crunchy, covered in fish sauce caramel, and are our absolute favorite wings in Miami. Each wing is so crispy it’s hard to tell if you’re holding a flat or a drum. They'd be delicious naked, but the sticky fish sauce caramel adds a delightful punch of flavor—and acts as an adhesive for the little bits of fried garlic. You will need to take a sink bath after you eat these. Luckily the bathroom is also a mini karaoke club. Book at least two weeks out if you’re looking for a reasonable Saturday night table. But if you stink at planning, expect to sit outside. The sidewalk tables are for walk-ins, and you can call (they usually answer) before you head over to see how long the wait is. If you go towards the end of service, you might be able to find a couple of open bar seats." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"It makes sense that Tâm Tâm started out as a sexy pop-up supper club, because dinner here is still a social event worth circling on your calendar. But you’re not coming to this Vietnamese restaurant in Downtown just to post a forehead selfie in one of the curvy mirrors on the wall. You’re here to eat some of the most delicious food in Miami. Many of Tâm Tâm’s best dishes—like the sticky fish sauce caramel wings and the tamarind glazed pork ribs—are gloriously messy. Maybe don’t wear white. But Tâm Tâm has even found a way to make washing your hands an absolute blast (pick the second bathroom on the right). "You can’t hide from fun at Tam Tam. It finds you in every corner of the colorful Vietnamese restaurant—even in the bathrooms, which are so glorious we want to shut up about them to not spoil the surprise. But you’re not coming here just to drink enough wine to justify three trips to the bathroom. Tam Tam has one of the most exciting menus in Miami, full of creative takes on the kinds of Vietnamese flavors that are tragically rare in this city. Order the sticky fish sauce caramel wings, both because they are our favorite wings in Miami, and because their stickiness will give you another excuse to go to the bathroom. "Talk about an umami powerhouse. Tam Tam, a popular Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Miami, offers a distinctive take on chicken wings. They are coated in crispy garlic and a fish sauce caramel glaze. This combination of savory and sweet flavors, along with their perfect crispiness, makes them a standout on the menu." - Jennifer Agress, Olee Fowler
"Tam Tam is one of the most fun restaurants in Miami at any time of year. But we imagine it'll be particularly alive during Art Basel, when word spreads about the fact that they have a karaoke bathroom. That's definitely part of the reason this place is great, but the food is also incredible. The sticky fish sauce caramel wings and tamarind-glazed ribs are both great reasons to get messy (and pay another visit to that bathroom). This Downtown spot is small though, so grab that reservation as soon as you can. And please don't call the bathroom "immersive." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
