"Tacos Charly is a popular spot in Tlalpan, the southern part of Mexico City, so arrive early or expect a wait, and bring cash, as credit cards aren't accepted. Come for their suadero, which they confit and then simmer in water for a juicier taco. However, don't skip out on their al pastor tacos; they're prepared at a dedicated station with the cook deftly managing the trompo. Tender and flavorful, the meat is sliced ever-so-thinly and deliciously touched with a bit of rendered fat." - Michelin Inspector

Between 3 of us we tried 7 different tacos and not one was disappointing…… bottom line don’t let the neighborhood drive you away go and enjoy the tacos. Be prepared to stand

These are probably my favorite tacos in Mexico City. I was brought here a few years ago and I couldn't wait to come back. They have lengua, cabeza, and pastor but stick with the suadero. That is what they are known for. It's divine.

Visited here by young chef’s recommendation. Excellent. Very juicy and flavorful. Honestly, this restaurant deserves Michelin star more than El Califa de Leon. Must visit place. Very affordable.

I went there on a recommendation of a friend. When I got there, it was your typical mexican taqueria, the smell of marvelous meats permeated the area. I ordered 3 tacos, along with friends who or ordered their choices. Small moist tacos 🌮, excellent taste, along with a cold coke is one of the best tasting treats you can indulge in. Excellent tacos, I would definitely go back again.

Came for the suadero but the pastor was better this time. The gringa is really well made. Service is quirky compared to other taquerias but the food is well worth it! If you’re in the area it’s a must!

It's a crazy place for tacos. It's always crowded and you must pay for each thing before eating them. Their sauces are great. It's a popular place for authentic Mexican street food. The place is not that confortable but people is familiar with it. Prices are normal. Some of the tacos are really unique; try suadero!!

What a great spot!!! It was a bit busy but we were served quickly. Suadero was our top favourite. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Yelp
I had great expectations about the Suadero taco since it is made from brisket so it's quite different from the traditional Suadero. It is small place where you order and pay first like a fast food restaurant. There aren't seats so if you want to eat in there you'll have to do it standing up and for this reason we ordered to go. The Suadero taco was a big disappointment, it was dry and bland. We also ordered: - Lengua taco.- someone said it was the best from what we ordered. - Sesos taco.- not good, the flavor wasn't there. - Pastor taco.- Maybe the tacos are better if you eat them onsite but it wasn't a good experience so I don't think I'll come back.

Yelp
All the tacos we tried here are mouth-watering good. The suadero was so good we went back every night even after having had dinner somewhere else already just for 1 more taco. The green salsa os to die for. Don't miss this spot if you're ever on this side of town. I would say it's even worth the drive.

Yelp
These tacos are life changing. They are that good! Wowsers, I'm not sure if I can ever go back to the states and eat tacos ever again. The place is a hole in the wall, if you can't stomach the environment, then you shouldn't come here. The food here shines, and that's the most important. We had suadero and al pastor first, I really like how tender the suadero or brisket was. Just add some hot sauce, cilantro and onions, and you're good to go. The highlight for us for the bistec or steak with queso, it was simply amazing! It knocked my socks off, literally, when I dug my teeth into the tender, gooey, flavorful meat, I was never the same again. I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place out, it's pretty far from the central areas but it's worth the Uber ride!

Yelp
Unfortunately they don't serve the suadero tacos until 4 PM... Buyer beware. I had the obligatory el pastor and it was ok.

Yelp
No reviews in English, so I can be the first for u foodie tourists. This place has been around a long time, since my dad was growing up here. The best tacos of my life! Of course, the city is the birthplace of street tacos. Famous for their delicious tacos de suadero. Try the avocado green sauce. I always use this place as a standard to measure up to my taco expeditions in the LA/OC area. It's so authentic: eating while u stand and drinks in glass bottles--recycle after ur done in those crates. Love the food, love the people and the culture of Mx City. Ya quiero regresar!!!

Yelp
Best suadero tacos in kms. Try them. Enjoy them. Savor them. Get owned by them. Pastor are pretty good too. Best to arrive after copious amounts of alcohol in your system.
