Definitely a hidden gem, this place is located up some stairs inside a vape shop and very easy to miss walking by. It’s also largely take out though it does have a few tables for two set up in the space for those that want to eat there. But for no frills sushi, this place is the excellent! Reasonably priced and always very fresh and high quality, it’s definitely one of my go tos in the neighborhood.

We got the sushi regular and sushi premium. It was nice to be able to place an order and have it ready exactly on time. The sushi was fresh and tasted good, although it wasn’t the best sushi I’ve had given the price (good but not great). Worth a try if you’re in a rush or have a busy schedule and want to get sushi takeout.

While I'm a fan of their premium sushi and sashimi meal, I've given their lunch salmon deal a try twice now, and have concluded that it's not worth the price. Don't get me wrong, the flavor is decent; but for over $20, it's more of a snack than it is a meal. It looks like a decent amount of salmon, but it's actually sliced very thinly.

Just grabbed some takeout from Sushi 35 West and ate it in the car — it was awesome! We ordered the Salmon Tuna Donburi, Sushi set, Sashimi set, and Salmon Ikora don. Each set comes with a basic salad with a savory dressing, which was a nice touch. The sushi was super fresh and packed with umami, and the rice was seasoned just right. Honestly, for the price, the quality blew me away. It's like takeout sushi but with premium Ingredients! Their soy sauce is on point — slightly sweet, full of umami, and not too salty. Perfect balance. The fish and rice were at the perfect temperature and seasoned perfectly. The fish was so soft it practically melted in my mouth, tender and flavorful. Each piece of sushi felt like a complete dish, not just fish on rice. The Salmon Tuna Donburi was a standout for me. The combination of the salmon and tuna with the perfectly seasoned rice was just amazing. The Sushi set and Sashimi set gave a great variety of fresh fish, each piece tasting like it was made with care. The Salmon Ikora don was another hit, with the salmon and roe pairing beautifully with the well-seasoned rice. The place itself is pretty basic, like a small storage room with a window to order and pick up. There are three tables outside, nothing fancy. It's clear they focus all their energy on the food, which is great because it keeps the prices down. The food was so good that I went back for more. If you want amazing sushi at a great price, definitely check out Sushi 35 West. Highly recommend!

This place is hard to find for sure. It is located above a smoke shop and you won't find it unless you are looking for it. I recommend ordering online and picking up your food there as they seem to be more of a takeout place. They have 3 small tables so it is likely you will not be able to dine there. For it's price, the sushi is very high quality. The fish tastes great and it's quality is definitely much above other sushi at this price point. The fatty tuna pieces were my favourite. I usually do not like uni but the uni piece here wasn't bad either.

I've noticed that most of Sushi 35 West’s customers seem to prefer pick-up or delivery, but they do offer a few tables for those who choose to dine in. The vibe here is definitely distinct from your typical sushi dining experience. Finding this spot can be a bit tricky as it's located above a smoke shop, but don’t let its unconventional location discourage you!

Wanted to try this take out place for a while. Paid about $40 for this platter. Quality is great and everything tastes fresh. However, I can’t say it’s a “steal” for the price. To me, it’s the same price as some omakase take out. But I would be back !

The sushi was pretty fresh but I ordered the royal sushi box which should’ve come with 3 pieces of king salmon, and those were not included. The toro was good but I was definitely looking forward to some variety.
