"Sturehof is a seafood institution that has endeared itself to locals by cutting out middlemen and selling fresh fish directly to customers through the adjacent Stockholm Food Market. Order dalarömacka with buckling (hot-smoked, kipper-like herring), whitefish roe, and raw egg yolk on dark rye bread; butter-fried pike perch with crayfish and dill velouté; poached cod with shrimp, horseradish, and poached egg; or toast skagen with shrimp, whitefish roe, and mayonnaise." - Per Styregård

"Sturehof manages to be many things to many people. It’s open every day of the week and almost every day of the year, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. You can come for an after-work drink in the fresh air at the outside bar at the front, or a late night drink in O-bar in the back, or a business lunch, casual meal, or grand family dinner in the large restaurant. You’ll see grandparents with grandchildren, young couples on a date, and older folks celebrating an anniversary. The place has a somewhat formal look, with red-jacketed waiters buzzing about the place, but there’s nothing stuffy about the atmosphere. It is one of the city’s gems."

Someone described this as the "Balthazar of Stockholm" which is kind of lol. Nice as a reliable "classic Swedish fare"... much like other places it's salmon, potatoes, shrimp, etc.

I used GhatGPT to ask where I could get a good seafood soup! If you don't have a reservation, you need to wait. I am very satisfied with the attitude of the service staff and their dedication to finding a seat for us without a reservation! As for the food, it did not live up to my expectations, the taste was a bit salty! The portion was small! The seafood risotto was 😋 delicious

We had a really wonderful meal here for our anniversary lunch. We had oysters, which were delicious to start, then I had a steak while my wife had traditional Swedish meatballs, both dishes were first class. Service was also top notch. We topped it off with some delicious wine and moved outside to finish. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Highly recommended

Google
I had the pleasure of dining here, very traditional Swedish restaurant. I had a starter, toast skagen with prawns, very unique, i loved it! I also tried the meatballs—and they absolutely lived up to the hype. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, with the creamy mashed potatoes, lingonberries and crunchy pickled cucumbers. It’s a simple dish, but so comforting. A must-try if you want an authentic taste of Sweden! Sarika did a great job by serving this dishes and explaining me, as i am a tourist here. Well done, you are very professional and also you have a great smile, which is important in your job. thank you! Sebastian, thank you too, you are very nice too!

An Institution not to miss if you are visiting STOCKHOLM. Everything is delicious on the menu. Variety of choices for all tastes!!! You won’t regret it.

Google
Overall a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderfully kind and attentive. I'd highly recommend trying the vodka and tomato herring, this is a truly unique flavour, but exquisite nevertheless. We also had the fish au gratin and venison sausages. Both had wonderfully rich flavours but I did find it was just a little too salty

Google
This restaurant is recommended by our hotel reception and indeed it was a great recommendation. Love everything we ordered and ate. Seafood is fresh & tasty. Highly recommended: - Vodka & Caviar - Oyster Plateau Special Service is great! Tack! big guy serving us at the corner table. Do make advance reservation as the restaurant is crowded. It was a wonderful evening & dining at Sturehof before we leave Stockholm.

Excellent. Was there for an event. I wish the laktosfri potatoes served with the fish were more colorful and varied as the regular ones which also had onions and other root veggies it seemed. The sorbet was awfully sour. Nobody managed to finish it, not even halfway. I managed to swap mine to a pear with my neighbor but tried the rhubarb and sorbet from her. Nope!

Google
Great service, high quality restaurant. Highly recommend the monkfish. The white asparagus and bacon came together like a well oiled taste machine working together.

Samantha C.

Yelp
Food: Absolutely the best meal I had in Stockholm! Everything was so delicious and fresh. I would order each and every one of these again! I recommend ordering a few dishes per person since the plates are small. Ambiance: We had a reservation for the "bar" area, so the ambiance was very casual, bright, and modern. Service: Amazing! Our server was great and kept all of our orders at our table of 5 straight.

Shari S.

Yelp
The Sturehof was recommended by our Grand Hotel's Concierge Desk as a buzzy, happening seafood brasserie and they were right! Even on a Sunday evening at 9:30 pm the bar was full with nice people enjoying drinks and meeting up with friends. We really enojyed the great vibe, friendly service and excellent food. I really enjoyed the seafood ceviche and my husband's meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberries was excellent. The homemade bread was delicious. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the fish soup as it had a bitterness that we weren't used to. Last of all, the Sturehof was located in the most upscale shopping area of Stockholm so there was plenty to look at before dining here.

Alexis B.

Yelp
We went to dinner at Sturehof for our last meal in Stockholm last week, and it was really nice. We started with some herring and some smoked salmon, which was a great light starter. My husband got their seafood risotto with grilled lobster tails, wild asparagus, saffron, and mascarpone. I had the fish gratin with shrimp, fennel, carrot, pommes duchesse, and a green salad. Both were great. I had some wine that went great with our meal. And we couldn't resist trying their fancy version of Princess Cake! And the service was a standout on our trip. Our waitress was really helpful and friendly. The restaurant is comfortable and cool, while still a little traditional. A really good meal.

Sunny C.

Yelp
Really good seafood and great service. The reverse princess cake for dessert was one of the best I had. It will be pricier than other restaurants but its worth the try.

Samantha V.

Yelp
Our hotel recommended this restaurant and was able to get us a reservation sort of last minute which was really nice! This place is huge!! We were seated in a semi-private dining room upstairs with only 5 tables total. The food was brought out super quick and was incredibly delicious! We shared the fried langostine tails, the shrimp toast, and a pasta with rabbit ragu and chanterelle mushrooms. The pasta was freshly made and was just so incredible!!

Brion C.

Yelp
Sturehof is a casual bright modern restaurant in downtown Stockholm. We went for Swedish meatballs which were delicious plus the appetizers of deep fried brussel sprouts and the fries. Great lunch with a nice cold beer. The meatballs were delicious and service was superb too.

Cecilia T.

Yelp
Mother of mercy delicious. We started with the wild duck appetizer that was one of the most delicious preparations of duck I've ever had. Incredibly moist and tender. WOW. I also tried the oyster sampler. The calamansi version was out of this world. My boyfriend got the poached cod with hollondaise which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I opted for butter fried char, and I licked that plate clean. The menu changes everyday based on market ingredients. Outstanding.

Athena B.

Yelp
Quite hard to find the entrance to this restaurant, but once you're there it's amazing! Tasteful decor with food that matches. A ton of really creative flavors and textures in all of their dishes, highly reccomend.

Hoa M.

Yelp
We came due to recommendations from our food tour guide. Overpriced meal, everything was salty, stale flatbread. No water is offered. Tip was added to bill without being asked by waiter. Would not come back.

Robert M.

Yelp
Delicious Oysters , salmon , and halibut. Great night . Staff was great. Glad we stopped.

Karlyn W.

Yelp
We were promptly seated and the restaurant is used to handling large groups for lunch. They are known for seafood and beef tartar which is Danish cuisine. Nothing memorable about the experience except its location because we could barely enjoy the conversation due to the loud jackhammer on the roof. Apparently they are moving so wait until they move or eat somewhere else.

Stephen H.

Yelp
Wonderful spot dedicated to celebrating Swedish food in all its creamy, fishy glory. Bring your appetite!

Judy S.

Yelp
What an institution! It's pretty large inside, so don't be intimidated by the full seating outside. There's more than enough room for no wait. While you wait for your food, you'll be served a delicious caviar cream spread, yum. We ordered: - Assiettes assorties of 3: Sturhof herring, matjes herring, prawns in mayonnaise (165 SEK) - Seared scallop from Hitra, celeriac crème, trout roe and watercress (160 SEK) - "Dalarö sandwich", smoked herring, vendace roe and egg yolk (195 SEK) - 15cl 2015 Weinbach Gewurztraminer (210 SEK) - 15cl Jadot Meursault (240 SEK) I'd recommend the Sturhof herring and the scallop. I'd recommend against the sandwich if you're not used to this type of cuisine. The pickled, smokiness was pretty hard to handle. We also had some of the Coravin wine after the intro from our waiter which we enjoyed immensely.

Yelp
We decided to have dinner at Sturehof after walking past the restaurant earlier in the day, and noticing the bustling, lively outdoor dining area, well past prime lunch hour. We were not disappointed -- the restaurant had a wonderfuls atmosphere reminiscent of a simple, rustic, yet timeless and elegant Parisian brasserie, with uncomplicated, perfectly executed seafood dishes (the lobster bisque was a revelation), and excellent, delightful service. We will definitely go back.

Aurora C.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants in Stockholm. We often come here after flights, even if it's around midnight because it's one of our family's comfort spots. Trendy and bustling, with patrons demonstrating the type of class and manners one can only find in Scandinavia, this is a must visit if an Stockholm. Our favorites are always the Norwegian cold salmon and skagenröra on toast. We usually come here several times when we are back in Scandinavia.

Cregan D.

Yelp
We lunched splitting a sole dish with mussels, langoustine soup, and a veggie pasta. Everything was satisfactory but would not compel a return visit to check out the rest of the menu. The outdoor dining was well set up and service was prompt.

Susan J.

Yelp
Great service, great food. Average atmosphere but the food and especially the service make up for it. Thanks, Karl, for a delicious and memorable night.

Carlos D.

Yelp
Outstanding seafood restaurant in classy setting. Came here for lunch. White linen tablecloth service with many fresh fish entrees to choose from. Fresh langostinos deep fried - best ever experienced. Butter cooked Coalfish with creative sides. Superb. Would definitely make this a destination for dinner sometime to accompany these fine fish entrees with one of their fine French white wines. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Best food ever for parents and kids! Pasta, meatballs, poached cod... All so delish! We ate late at 11pm and it was a fun vibe w music and outdoor dining

Yelp
Visit no.1 Yes I know this is one of the most popular restos in Stockholm, so loads of reviews and photos already. I have been coming here off & on since I first went to Stockholm, so 1989 I guess... It's a great buzzy place; we used to sit upstairs in a little library area and remember seeing Bjorn Borg eating there often! For the first time we were downstairs, crowded, noisy, lots of coming & going Staff very attentive & polite. We ate Toast Skagen, delicious, followed by fried Baltic herring with mash potatoes for me, & for my companion, the Rimmad lax with boiled potatoes. My herring were not too big, crispy yet with plenty of meat. Quite delicate; very tasty. The salmon looked good. Not sure what others had A glass of La Motte, a Sauvignon Blanc from Franschoek; pleasant Then a couple of double espressos to finish. 870 sek before tip A great evening! Always good food and good value A couple of photos to come for Visit no. 2 report below Visit no.2 Again a friendly welcome and a nice table downstairs. We had a glass of La Motte and the house Cote de Rhone...the first was deemed too oaky and the second...hmm, not that good...but we were happy enough to nibble the bread and wait for our starters A ceviche and a goats cheese salad...well yummy or what...and of course after all that food we are going to struggle with the mains....confit of duck, a sea of lentils in a mustard sauce, mash potato and, if that wasn't rich enough, an amazing deep sauce. There was so much meat on the duck too...slow eats to get through it all...no way there was room for dessert! Two glasses of a very nice red, Quinta do Vallado, Douro A top meal again here...and great service from our waitress...not cheap at 1,239 sek And now some photos...

Yelp
Sturehof serves uncomplicated, fresh and classically prepared seafood dishes. Yelper photos show how simple the dishes are. It's crowded the few times I passed by and you quickly realize Sturehof is one of Stockholm's staples. We found Sturehof because of local recommendation and Yelp. What was special about Stufhof? It's a spot to enjoy a beer, an acquavit, a Kir Royale and seafood. Yes the seafood is amazing, fresh. Service is super attentive and our waitperson, friendly and very helpful about how to dine like the in-the-knows in Stockholm. For openers, I had the lobster soup. The lobster soup was simple with a large piece of lobster sitting on top of a large butter browned scallop. The soup tasted seasoned well and really delicious, and was lovin' every spoonful. It was so good I was tempted to have another. Resisted. Then the pièce de resistance: Poached Norwegian cod, prawns, poached egg, fresh horseradish, browned butter Hollandaise. There was something beautifully poetic about this dish, the nicest piece of fresh cod with freshly grated horseradish , nicely briny local prawns (Scandinavian prawns are 2die4). Tease these ingredients with an exquisitely seasoned browned butter Hollandaise and I was in heaven. A nice glass of Riesling recommended by our waiter, added a that touch of crisp dew slightly sweet to bring the entire dish together. Impressed. This plate is one of Sturehof's signature dishes, so memorable; I can still taste it months later. With 2 stunner dishes, I craved a simple summer dessert. Ordered the Swedish strawberries, elderberry mousse, cream & a moscato to chase the sugars down. The strawberries were amazingly delicious, nicely tart and ripe but not as tart as American strawberries. The honey from the elderberry and moscato was killer w/strawberries. And this dish was the ending to this dinner that set it right for me. Loved it. Coming back. Visits: 1 Tip: The mussels were ordered almost at every other table. Didn't get them because the serving looked huge. I saw quite a few diners dunking great Swedish bread into the pot. Sit outside in summer. Sturehof has good tables for dining inside also. It's a people watching place, diners are friendly, some chatty. Oddly we met Angelenos dining next to us.

Yelp
3.5 stars Oh Lord. Be prepared to spend serious money here. If you're wondering where to flaunt that humenah humenah dress of yours in this neighborhood, the bar is the place to be. While the bar is a scene, the dining room was a mix of families and girls night out on town. I chose this restaurant for dinner because it was two blocks away from our hotel which was convenient for stumbling back to after a night out. (YEAH!) The food is seasoned just right and since we were in Sweden, we concentrated mostly on seafood: delicate, fresh and obviously, handled with care. We spent $70/person (alcohol was paid for separately at the bar) CRAZY. Their wine list is extensive, but I got a house Rose and it was obscenely overpriced. (I mean, alcohol in Scandinavia is already expensive to start with, unless you want a watered down beer) The toast skagen is a must: fresh shrimp tossed in mayo and dill with lumpfish roe. YUM! My main consisted of steamed turbot and mussels in a garlic white wine broth which was excellent. My friend liked her roasted whole perch with fried cauliflowers. Our waitress informed her that this is served with the head attached and we were like: bring it! ;) Don't skip the bread basket: the butter is delightfully creamy and the assortment of Tunnbröd will keep your hands busy. The exceptional service from Madeline earns this place a solid 3.5 stars.

Ray S.

Yelp
I had heard about this restaurant before I arrived to the city and my expectations were extremely high. I am not saying that I was disappointed but, I wasn't very pleased either. I tried the Oysters, Meatballs and the Lobster and they were all average good. The best part about this restaurant is that it is located in the South of Stureplan in Stockholm which is the heart of Stockholm. Reservation is required and they say that they require jackets, but that's not true, Half of the crowd was wearing casual. From my understanding, this location is a little historic since the founder opened the place about a 100 years ago and it used to be a meeting spot and a very high end place in the past. Lots of locals, reservation is required, but NOT a unique place that really impressed me.

Dr Christopher L.

Yelp
Stopped by and enjoyed the evening menu, service and food was outstanding. The chocolate dessert was orgasmically satisfying. The seared scallop was caramelized and melted in my mouth. The tartar was perfect and seasoned exceptionally. The turbot entrée was fantastic and bursting with flavors. The chef is an artist, flavors and presentation were superior. The turbot did not arrive at table as shown in pic, it's smelled so amazing, hence I couldn't resist diving into it!

Jason H.

Yelp
Traditional seafood restaurant. I don't feel anything on the menu was very unique or creative. We had the smoked salmon and the poached char which were both okay. Thought the salmon was better. The char had a tomato base which I personally don't care for with fish. Service was slow. Tables are cramped together. It seemed like a super popular place for locals, but I wasn't overly impressed. I would compare it to a not as McCormick & Schmidt in the US, but not as nice. I felt the place was overly spendy for what you got here, but average for what we have been spending on dinners in Stockholm as the restaurants are really expensive when exchanging from USD to SEK.

Lisa N.

Yelp
[Writing the review in English so all international guests will be warned. If you have any sense of integrity and especially if you're used to good service, please go elsewhere]. I don't know if I should laugh or cry whilst writing this review, and honestly I am at a loss for words whilst trying to even summarize the awful treatment we received at Sturehof this evening. To make the story short, we were asked to leave the restaurant because we (a party of two, not drunk, sharing one bottle of red wine and having dinner) were sitting close to ech other and the waitress with blonde short hair (beware...) wanted us to move a chair so she could pass by our table. Fine, but we were sitting outside (in Sweden, in December) by the windows and she had to walk two meters to the left to pass by easily. We questioned the absurdity in this, and told her we could happily move if she had to walk to the only table behind us. But she didn't like being questioned. Plus, we weren't blocking any table at all, as I wrote before she could just make a small detour by two meters. I guess she had a bad day (life?) and overreacted heavily. Even the other waiters and the bouncer thought so, but even worse - the manager didn't even try to have a conversation and acted many times more rude and agressive towards us than whatever had happened in the nice conversation we had with her that she found so offensive. Let me once again add that we were a couple of two, sharing a bottle of wine a Wednesday evening. The level of their offensiveness here is beyond what I could even imagine in my wildest dreams. We are from Sweden but live in a big city in south east Asia and this treatment reminded us why we would never move back to Sweden. So communication with this waitress was no issue as we speak the same language. Management issues x 1000 at this place. Avoid at all costs, especially if you have some pride, but also if you have really low expectations of how you'd like to be treated. This is supposedly a fancy expensive place, so the shock of how we were treated is even greater. Never spending my money here again, not one single Swedish krona.

Annie C.

Yelp
Exactly what to Expect. Great location for people watching, catching some sun and relaxing. Excellent service and food as well. I had shrimp egg salad (classic Swedish) and my husband had eggs royale. A bit salty but delicious. We did not find it to be any more than the $$ restaurants.

Tom K.

Yelp
We have been here many times and have enjoyed Calf liver. This time we ordered fish dishes: Quenelles of pike from Kalix, Dublin bay prawn and Lemon sole, Capris, Beetroot and browned butter. To this a bottle of red house wine. Excellent dThe staff are very courteous and treat new as old customer with great respect. Go there and enjoy Today we revisited Sturehof and had lemon Sole on the bone but were disappointed as the fish was rather small and the peas were very hard and capers were missing! This restaurant has a not acceptable variance in quality of served dishes. We hope that the kitchen will sharpen up until we come back next time.

Diana M.

Yelp
This is my go to restaurant for over 5 years every time I'm in town. It's definitely more on the pricer side on a high end street of Stockholm but it's worth every penny!

Sam S.

Yelp
An institution in Stockholm full of well dressed people and lots of options for food. It's a restaurant, bar, deli, outdoor cafe with different options for eating and drinking. You can also shop here during the day for produce, meats and deli items. You can also have a meal in the deli section of this restaurant. I can't comment on the food but the bar is cool, filled with people and has a lovely atmosphere. The bar tenders are great and very friendly. I even got to try a few things in the process. Would happily come here again. The crowd is mixed and of all ages. A great place in town.

Cyrus H.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday Late night and it was still very busy. Reservations was very helpful. They have English menus if you need it. Great place for seafood Swedish style! Comes with crackers and fish roe butter. Delicious. Definitely get the Toast Skagen full size as an appetizer (delicious shrimp over toast). They have gluten free crackers for those in your party who might need it. But the toast was also perfect. Wait staff was great, ordered a bottle of wine and my glass was always filled. Food took a while to arrive though. I ordered the Poached Norwegian cod, prawns, poached egg, fresh horseradish. The cod was very fresh. The sauce that comes with the entree is very buttery so I used it sparingly. All in all, great dining experience if you're willing to pay.

Rachel R.

Yelp
There's a reason this place is always busy! We made a reservation for lunch, which seemed necessary given how packed it was. Service started off a little slow - I think it took us 45 minutes to get our appetizers, but everything we ate was excellent. They have an English version of the food menu, which is obviously seafood heavy. Even so, there were 3 vegetarian dishes on the menu plus a couple meat options, so something for everyone. The herring assortment as a starter is a must-have for anyone who likes herring or is the least bit curious about it... you get 3 or 5 different preparations of it, so a great way to sample a number of different flavors. As an entree, my boy had lightly salted cod which came with some kind of incredibly buttery sauce that was delicious. As a vegetarian, I was really impressed at the thoughtfulness put into these dishes - they were definitely not after-thoughts. The goat's cheese starter was impressively complex - a little sweet, a little peppery, a little toasty. And the main I got was mashed potatoes with fresh dill sauce, fresh peas, string beans, and roasted tomatoes. It was very lovely. The cracker assortment at the beginning is tasty - vegetarians beware of the butter that has fish roe in it. (It would have been nice if the waiter had brought plain butter once he realized I was vegetarian, but this prevented me fro eating too many crackers before our food arrived.) The atmosphere was elegant, but the people next to us were in sweat pants and over-sized t-shirts so apparently there's no dress code. The wine list is extensive.

Jared M.

Yelp
A bit spendy but completely worth the money. Food is FANTASTIC! The caviar butter will blow your mind. I never eat the bread but I nommed down on some crackers with butter here. Kicked off with a beer and some crackers with the most amazing butter I've ever tasted. It had smoked caviar and chives mixed in to the butter and tasted absolutely wonderful. Had the salmon from Norway for main meal and that was absolutely wonderful. Thin sliced salmon is always good and while I have no idea how this was prepared it tasted excellent. Highly recommend!

Daniela F.

Yelp
Great restaurant, great location, great food! I don´t know if it´s simply been too long since I had good fish (where I currently live we don´t really have the best fish), but every single dish I tried at Sturehof was delicious. Great quality and freshness. All in all, I bit pricy in comparison to other restaurants serving similar dishes, but worth the extra $$ for a slightly better meal. Great service! Although a little slow in spite of having an almost empty restaurant when I visited, the service was very attentive and friendly. Bare in mind that we were a pretty big table and that might have contributed to the time it took them to prepare all our meals. Might be faster if you come alone or with your other half :p In terms of location, it doesn´t get better than Stureplan, which is a very central public square in Stockholm. Besides Sturehof, there are many other restaurants around the area (maybe I bit more expensive than usual, but great to get a good taste of Swedish cuisine). TIP: Order different meals to share! Don´t narrow urself to one single dish.

Matt B.

Yelp
We were looking for some Swedish cuisine and came here after a recommendation by our hotel. It was a Sunday evening and the place was packed out so we were glad that we had a reservation. Instead of bread they had a bowl of crackers and a pate which was a good alternative. I went for the meat balls which came with a potato puree and lingonberries, the wife order one of the fish dishes which was even better as I finished that off when she got full. We didn't order a dessert but the total bill on my credit card came to just over £50 which I felt represented good value.

Saul G.

Yelp
We didn't start off well when the hostess tried to fob us off on a table in the back near the kltchen that had emptied due to a "cancellation" . But my better half, always wary of being banished to Siberia, held our ground - this was a long standing reservation for a party of 8, so we took the converted 6-top near the front. You want to be in the action at Sturehof, because the crowd, men and women both, is one of the best looking anywhere. Our pleasant and highly competent server made up for the hostess with quick (by Scandinavian standards) and friendly service. First to arrive is really excellent cracker bread. Apparently there is a bit of fish roe in the butter - it's addictive. A few in the party had cocktails and pronounced them up to snuff. We had two bottles of the Domaine des Malarmes Chablis, probably the Mortmains and they paired well with the food. I went with the fried Dublin Bay prawns, which were perfectly done. This was followed with the quenelles of pike from Lake Mallaren. Any Lyonnaise restaurant would have been proud of these quenelles, which were light and savory. Others in our group started with the lobster soup, the squid, and the beetroots. These aren't Dwight Schrute's beetroots. No complaints received. The poached lightly salted cod with prawns went over very well, as did the perch. I heard no complaints on the gnocchi, but no raves either. There is a second vegetarain choice on the menu, baked cabbage, but you come here for seafood. I had the "Court dessert" which was, more or less, berries in cream. Others had the Pavlova, all were happy were their sweets. By the time we left the place was like a big party. I'd call this a four star and change.

Yelp
We visited Stockholm during the summer, when they have their annual crayfish festival. Attempting to recreate our crayfish extravaganza we had last year and being unable to remember the restaurant, we chose this place as a second contender. We had a simple meal of toasted bread with chanterelles and one kg of crayfish. The chanterelles were tasty and the crayfish was spot on!! The service was somewhat unattentive and slow, but over all we had a fantastic traditional swedish crayfish festival meal which was priced reasonably and was very true to tradition.

Erik Ø.

Yelp
The food was great. We had two starters, and shared the turbot for main course. It was perfectly done and the side dish was both crisp and citrussy. We chose a Chablis white wine, that the waiter recommended. Good match. The place was full, literally packed. The only improvement point is the attendance of the staff, who seemed unengaged at times, maybe because they were very busy.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in Stockholm. You see all range of ages from midd to upper class. I like the fact that you can spend a whole night in the same establishment from afternoon drinks to dinner, more drinks and then heading up to the club and you'd sure have a great time.

Yelp
This is for sure a local crowd and the after-work scene on the patio was lively. It was amazing out so I waited like 30mins for a table on the patio. Staff was really friendly and engaging, the food was tremendous and the cadence of the meal was perfect. The wine list rocks, their take on traditional Swedish food was amazing (get all 5 herrings!) and I really couldn't have asked for anything more.

Yelp
Excellent place if you're looking for quality food, good ambience and late night. Menu is updated daily. Everything is fresh. I had cod and shrimp with hollandaise sauce and potatoes. Bread is made from scratch in-house and is very fresh! You will never be disappointed by this place.

Yelp
Institution at Stockholm. Bar is great, seafood so fresh and even the meatballs were fantastic. Location is also just perfect. On the pricey side but the food is really great. Buzzling with energy and almost always full. My family and I ate here twice during the trip because of how much we enjoyed the food and drinks.

Yelp
Note to self - get the skagen (shrimp piled on toast) next time I'm here. Luckily I was able to steal a bite off my dinner-mates. This place lives and breathes seafood - but there are non-seafood items if you insist. The portions are huge so I don't know how everyone manages a starter, a main, and a dessert - but the food is good so I don't blame them. Be warned - the complimentary crunchy flat breads and the roe cream served with it are delicious. If you don't watch yourself, you will fill up on this and not be able to enjoy the even more wonderful meal! This place can be rather pricey...but again, this is Stockholm. Lastly, watch out for the bathroom sink - it's got a open bottom and you'll most likely get your feet wet by accident. Unless you're smarter than I was...

Yelp
Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. A reservation is a must, and I understand why. We ordered oysters and when they served us they forgot half of the order. We had to ask for it again but at first they didn't want to as they said we got what we had ordered. It was easy to count the oysters though and that's when they realised they were wrong. The cod is fantastic, especially with the Hollandaise! The fries that come with their moules are delicious and next time I want to try the "Mälargös." The cheese platter was a great way of ending the very nice dinner. The food was amazing but the service wasn't perfect (a few more things happened like not getting enough glasses of water, no refill of water unless we asked for it, etc), which is why I give a 4 instead of a 5.

Yelp
Very Nice Restaurant in Stockholm to taste Fish & Seafoods. The decoration is smart and elegant, and the service is really appreciable which creates a friendly atmosphere. It is quite "cliché" but I loved their cracker-breads with the creamy butter! I tasted the Cod with an hollandaise sauce, which was seasoned just right. This was really fresh and delicate ! The wine/alcohol was definitively too expensive (as everywhere in Sweden, unless you want beer)

Yelp
I had lunch here and I was really impressed. When you arrive they serve a large variety of crispy breads, yum. I started with the lobster soup which was delicious (maybe then best I've ever had). I then had the shrimp salad with avocado, eggs, tomatoes and cucumber. It was so good...and they didn't spare on the shrimp. Service was excellent. I'd love to come back here for dinner sometime too.

Yelp
It tries hard to be different and comes up short. Hated the house Chardonnay which was awful. I rate this place very average with pricing above average so no wonder I give it a 2. In all fairness we had lunch here and it fell short. Not sure what dinner might be like. There are 2 great places near by called Zinc and Riche which for the same money, are much better places. If you're sold on this place, take a chance, it seems to be a 50/50 experience.

Yelp
The food was fine but overshadowed by bad service. Our waitress didn't check on us once after placing the initial order, had to ask for basics like milk for coffee. Considering the wine is $20 USD per glass, you would think they would want you to order seconds! I think her name was Kvall but not sure, would not go back or recommend, seemed that other nearby customers felt same.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Stockholm. I love this place and wish I could eat every meal here. Nice upscale surrounding with high-end clientele and food. Everyone I recommend to this restaurant loves it: it is a remarkably consistently good meal. Never had a bad dish here and the presentation is always excellent. I love the cracker-breads they bring before the meal! The rimmad lax (smoked salmon) is like high-grade sushi and is perfect. The best Swedish food one can find.
