Nestled in Logan Square, Spilt Milk is a charming dive bar with a cozy, Prohibition-era vibe, renowned for its creative cocktails and spacious patio.
"On Monday, neighborhood bar Spilt Milk in Logan Square is hosting Kimski for family meal. It starts at 5pm, costs $20, and is cash only. It’s first come first served, and they don’t accept reservations." - adrian kane
"When: Mon-Thurs 4-7pm The Deal: Half Off Draft Beer, $7 Select Wine With its spacious back patio, laid-back atmosphere, and delicious cocktails, Spilt Milk is one of our favorite bars in Logan Square. But we also like coming to this cozy, dimly lit spot for their Happy Hour, when select drafts and wines are half off. And since this deal lasts until 7pm, your Uber driver won’t have to break out any Lewis Hamilton-esque F1 driving skills in order to make it in time." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"Spilt Milk is beloved among hospitality workers who appreciate the fun, yet serious take on cocktails. This is a divey spot with a kitchen where Charles Wong has found a base of Umamicue, a pan-Asian take on Texas barbecue. The brisket and crab rangoons are musts, and Wong will also offer the meat inside a banh mi." - Eater Staff, Ashok Selvam
"Umamicue is pop-up that uses Vietnamese and other Asian flavors, to produce smoked meats. The pop-up has a residency at Spilt Milk, a Logan Square dive bar. The prime brisket is masterful, and so are the links. Order early." - Ashok Selvam, Eater Staff
"As far as beautifully restored old bars go, Spilt Milk is one of the finest specimens we’ve ever seen. The bar retains much of its throwback charm with vintage refrigerators, gold-painted tile ceilings, and the ornately carved wood bar. There’s no way to go wrong here, but we like the smoky Logan squares with bourbon, banana-infused syrup, and tobacco bitters, or try one of the rotating frozen drinks if you’re in the mood for a boozy slushie. Swing through on Mondays in the summer and get treated to Family Meal Monday on the back patio, where guest chefs from nearby restaurants serve a special menu of backyard-friendly dishes for $20 per plate." - sarah freeman, john ringor
