"A Winery for the Environmentalist Not only is Southbrook certified as an organic and LEED sustainable winemaker in Ontario, it is also a biodynamic winery. This means that it treats the farm as a single living entity. The farm’s soil, plants and animals are able to grow low-impact, vibrant crops, including grapes, which then make great wine. It was a treat to see sheep grazing behind the vineyard. The building is also a great example of fantastic architecture but also adhering to sustainable principles. Diamond & Schmitt Architects created a sleek and modern building—surrounded by lavender—where natural light is ensured and deep roof overhangs give added shade to the building. They even thought where lighting in the building will affect bird migration routes! Native wetland plants break down pollution from stormwater draining off our access road and parking lots. In addition to its great selection of wine, you can dine on the kitchen’s famous pizza on their outdoor patio looking out to the vineyard. Southbrook also hosts Vinyasa in the Vineyard by the famous Wine Ladies, which is a unique way to tour the winery. I recommend having brunch at Trius, which is a ten minute drive from Southbrook and then touring Southbrook for a lively morning in Niagara-on-the-Lake!"

Had an amazing time with my party, who was hosted so graciously by kestra* (*so sorry if I misspelled!). She was amazing - she was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the wines in store in general! We had such a fun time, and I'll definitely be back if I get the chance!

It was such a pleasure to visit Southbrook Organic Vineyards! I’m a huge fan of their brand, organic practices, and biodynamic approach. I had an amazing experience tasting wines and chatting with everyone. The team was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I arrived full and didn’t get to try any food, but I’ll definitely be coming back!

We were a group of eight and had a fantastic experience at this winery. I love that I was able to book a wine tasting reservation online, the process was super easy. The winery itself is beautiful and quiet, and they have a lovely patio setup. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food service was fast. The wine tasting was well organized, allowing us to sample four different wines with everyone receiving the same selections. We also got a complimentary wine sample, and it was my favourite. It’s a very light white wine, we even bought some at the store. An added bonus was being able to bring my dog. They gave her water, treats, and pets!

This vineyard is on a beautiful setting with grape vines all around. Wine tasting was very good and informative. Our group of 11 tend to lean towards the sweeter wines and theywere very tasty. Employees were super nice and accommodations were great for last min. Try the Icewine!

A great relaxing place to come and taste delicious wine! This is a charming winery in Niagra on the Lake. It’s the first biodynamic winery in Canada. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Our server Daniel was incredible. We also ate some delicious pizza and a charcuterie board!

It was my first time at a vineyard and I chose Southbrook as my first experience because I liked what they stood for. The staff was incredibly kind and patient. I saw the owner, Bill, personally go around to each table and introduce himself. When he finally came to our table, he took the time to engage in length and we got to learn his story. It was truly awe-inspiring to witness first-hand the passion and spirit fueling this winery. We got a flight and it was all so tasty! They have a bottleshop too. Can't wait to go back. In terms of accessibility, it is entirely flat with some light gravel in the parking lot. The washrooms are private stalls with grab bars and enough space to fit a wheelchair but unfortunately there are no automatic door openers installed.

We were a little late to our tasting but welcomed graciously into the space. We had beautiful views into the vineyards and with the sunshine pouring in, I can only imagine how pretty it would be when the weather is warmer. The wine was tasty, the information was helpful, and we were surprised by how much we liked the cider and the Cassis. Thank you, Cynthia (I'm so sorry if I have your name wrong) for a really lovely start to our weekend getaway. We look forward to returning.

This was the first stop on our wine tour and it did not disappoint from the wine to the staff, everyone was wonderful! The wines are smooth and delicious. Edward was so friendly, funny, professional, and informative! Will 10/10 be back here again!
