Everything was amazing. We loved all dishes we took a: octopus with potato’s and fish of the day (which was salmon) with vegetables. We also tried lemon tart - highly recommend🤤 The survives was amazing, they provided a kid chair and a waiter was so nice with my toddler.

I have absolutely no complaints about this this restaurant. We continue to be amazed by the food here in Portugal, as it puts everything in the US to shame, but this place was particularly delicious. Extremely low cost for the quality, ambiance, and service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Everything was DELICIOUS !! The octopus was out of this world and the prawns were very tasty. We would also recommend the tune steak with sweet potato puree, very very tastyyyy. We would highly recommend this place 😋🙌🏼

Amazing starters here! We had the sardine special and prawns, both delicious. Octopus for main was tasty and tender too. Some unique cocktails on the menu. Lovely service and atmosphere.

Came here on the recommendation of our hotel concierge for dinner. Had the sardine bruschetta to start, the grilled octopus and pork cheeks for mains and a sip of muscatel for dessert. The grilled octopus was excellent and big enough to share for 2. We probably could have had 1 appetizer, split a main and then a dessert and would have been fine. 2 mains was a little to much for the 2 of us. Overall service was friendly and attentive and food was delicious. We came at around 6:45pm with no reservations, by the time we left the place was full at about 8:15pm. Great little place for dinner.

I’ve been wanting to come here since we moved to Lisbon 4 years ago. The food is pretty good, certainly better than most places in the touristic area. The sardine bruschetta was surprisingly flavorful, and the choco frito was fantastic. I loved my polvo à lagareiro and my wife’s pork cheeks were great. The chocolate mousse pie was an American sized portion and really good. I wish they had more variety in their wine list, though. Overall, it was totally worth it.

We went to Santelmo on a Sunday just before 6:30 p.m. and we didn't have a reservation but they were still able to take us. Would definitely recommend making a reservation though because it seating was full between 7-8 pm and you don't want to miss eating here! Food and drinks were delicious and a treat for the eyes as well. We had drinks, appies, one main each and my husband had a digestif. The mains are generously portioned (3 pork cheek medallions with sweet potato in one dish and half an octopus plus the head in the other), so we could have got away with splitting one to save some room for dessert. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant has a cool modern vibe and the staff were very friendly, attentive and happy to explain anything or make suggestions. We had 3 drinks, water, 2 appies and 2 mains for 80 Euros including tax and tip.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Santelmo, and it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the grilled octopus, which was perfectly tender and flavorful—a true testament to the culinary skills of the kitchen. The Tiramisu was probably the best I’ve had so far. Adding to the wonderful food was the charming waiter who served me. His attentive and personable service made the evening even more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service makes Santelmo a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy Portuguese cuisine. I look forward to my next visit!
