"Then I raced to dinner with a friend at a private club called San Vicente Bungalows where they mentally rank the members and the members pay for the privilege. I ordered the mussels, which is a pretty gross thing to eat in mixed company, when you think about it."

Google
Private, elegant, and perfectly discreet. The best spot for a quiet escape.

Google
Centrally located members only club, great for meetings, business meals, etc. I much prefer the vibe here over SOHO house. The members here have a private, mind-your-own-business attitude. The staff are friendly, straightforward, and courteous. Put your phone away, focus on your friends and business acquaintances. There is plenty of dining space, plenty of areas to meet in. It has a solid mixture of indoor and outdoor seating relaxed and comfortable to more traditional dining.

Very pretty bungalow-place, Nice pool, acceptable wifi! Not to expensive either

Was invited for dinner, the atmosphere is peaceful and cozy. The food is fresh and really well prepared. The staff is extremely polite and friendly.

This place is a jewel. Its right next to everything but you'd never know it. I stayed for 4 nights and never even used my rental car lol. It has a very European feel but with clean lines and modern amenities. What I really love was the pool. The guy at the desk told me it uses salt water because I expected to smell like chlorine. And since I color my hair I didn't want to get my hair wet you know? At night the staff put out little candles and the place just shimmers. Its almost picturesque. I ended up getting in the pool every night just to slip away and relax. The staff seemed to change shifts a lot but they were all really friendly and helpful it made me feel like I could ask for anything . I will definitely stay here next time I visit LA. trip.

Google
Staff is great the owner is not ...I had 3 of my friends come with me back to my room one morning. ..mostly to help me pack and c we were stopped by the owner and then you are told very busy but I could only have 1 guest in my room which is absolutely absurd being that I paid green money just like every other guest there I then had to ask 2 of my .friends to leave. Nowhere does it say or state in any way that I could only have 1 guest I thought that after my 10 days of staying there I would be accommodated but to my dismay it was just the opposite

Google
I was very disappointed with the service, overall. The front desk people who claimed to be management seemed very cold and uncaring when I attempted to bring it to thier attention. I didn't want to stay for any kind of dinner or otherwise due to being so turned off. Perhaps they need to clean house in terms of upper management. I won't be back.

Yelp
An absolutely lovely lunch spent with a friend who is a member. Our meal was delish, the service and hospitality unparalleled, and so relaxing to take time out in privacy.

William S.

Yelp
This place is really bad. Tried out their location with a member, and the service was 0/10 which is why I needed to leave a review. I was thinking about joining but after my experience absolutely not, you couldn't pay me to be a member here. Came to their SM location for dinner, I get it they are just starting out and piloting, I have never seen a less enthused staff, a waitress who didn't care, and the bar and bussers were acting as if no urgency. Waitress no where to be seen the entire meal which lasted about 3 hours with a lot of waiting around. No water refilled, no side plates when asked. No checking in or updates. No respect for criticism of slow service - it was if they didn't care. It was as if the hires had never worked at a restaurant before. Such an embarrassment. Food came out cold. Do better.

Chieko W.

Yelp
Fried chicken sandwich was exceptional! My fries were cooked to perfection. Crisp and crunchy and not burnt....they were delicious. Service was top notch. And I understand it's a private club but $18 for valet parking for lunch?! Welcome to WeHo i guess‍

Yelp
San Vicente Bungalows is the place to be! I felt so privileged to be there that before I left for the night, I inquired how to become a member. This is a "Members Only" spot and you need to be invited by a member to be there. Thankfully, my coworker is a member and I might not be far behind her! They are extremely professional and make everyone who enters feel like they're VIP. **Full disclaimer - most of them actually are!!! I couldn't take pics unfortunately so that's why you see the outdated before they remodeled pictures on this app. They tape your phones when you walk in to make sure you don't take any pictures. Take it from me, the place is absolutely gorgeous! They decorated for the holidays which is an added extra element that makes you feel so happy to be there. I ordered all of the tequila cocktails they offered, but I can't remember what they were called because I don't have pics or a menu to look up! They have 2 sushi rolls and we got both, the crunchy one was my favorite of the two but both are incredibly fresh! I ordered the steak and frites with the steak cooked medium rare. Perfection! We ordered 3 different kind of cheese appetizers and I can't tell you which one was my favorite. My coworker got a pasta plate and my other coworker ordered the fried chicken. We got to try bites of everything to see how delicious everything was! We ordered 3 desserts- the cheesecake, the lemon meringue pie and the bread pudding I believe. Chef's kiss to everything they served! If you get a chance to go, I would NOT turn down the opportunity. I repeat, DO NOT turn down the opportunity! Who knows, I might be a member soon that's how over the moon I was from visiting San Vicente Bungalows! Thank you for having me!

Yelp
Gorgeous, amazing vibe, great food and cocktails. Magical evening. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Really nice ambiance. Great events. Good food. But they don't offer enough to be a member. Won't be worth it until they open up their Santa Monica location. People come here to see, and be seen. The moment you walk in people stare because they want to see someone famous. It's giving desperation. The dining courtyard seating area is completely packed like sardines and you can't have a quiet conversation with someone because there is a table right next to you, Better service than soho house, though. Another LA money grab.

Guy H.

Yelp
Terrible service from bad waiters in the bar, not worth the $35 dollar glass of champagne or the number of times we had to ask for the same thing over and over. Soho House has better service and that's saying something

Kelly M.

Yelp
Exclusive private social club. Venue would be lovely on a sunny LA day but we went when it was rainy. The place has an old-school vibe, not trendy or modern. The bar is small and crowded even on a weeknight. The food was alright. Oysters were fine, one choice. Wait staff seemed tired. I guess people go cause it's exclusive. Maybe that's not my thing, it's more about the food and service which were fine but could be way better.

Sarah O.

Yelp
Completely updated! Practically a new business compared to the reviews I've read here. Great location, easy parking or valet. Friendly and personable staff.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Delicious buffet on a Sunday morning. Great vibe and food. Very private. Enjoyed my time here.

Pat M.

Yelp
Holy guacamole that was delicious. SVB's prix fixe lunch menu is one for the ages. Seriously the best deal in town, and the most delicious. And served by a staff trained for royalty. Highly recommend their grilled avocado, zucchini spaghetti with chicken, and any of their desserts or coffees. And of course cocktails if you have a driver.

Sable P.

Yelp
Love SVB. This is not a hotel anymore, it is a members only club. They do an all you can eat on Saturdays for brunch and everything is to die for! The pancakes are my favorite. The ambiance is very charming and the service is by far the best in LA. Oh ya, and always order the cookies.

Yelp
Photos online mislead. If we had booked more than one night, would have canceled the rest and moved to another hotel. Did note the wide range of satisfaction in other reviews, mistakenly assumed the bad reviews were for the "Room with Shared Bathroom, Bedding Unspecified". WARNING to anyone considering those rooms, you may get one with a bathroom OUTSIDE of your room (like a hostel) We rented a "SUITE", 1st thing we both noticed when walking into our room was the smell and heat. Furniture was stained, table scratched up and the old and sad looking black Ikea fold out couch, also stained, hadn't even been put back in place right. There was a 2" wide and 1 1/2" deep hole in the floor, presumably at one time the pocket doors opened and closed. Marks on the walls, doors filthy with dirty fingerprints. Wardrobe on a poorly patched piece of carpet. It was like no one that worked there cared. Besides provided toiletries in dingy dispensers, the bathroom was fine. King bed was decent, was a platform bed with memory foam mattress. Probably enjoyable in the winter when it's cool, but retains and emits heat. Our room faced the street and the barred and dirty side windows in the bedroom faced a driveway with about 8 garbage cans. Only one of the 4 windows in the room actually opened, we had to prop it open with a book. We had to search for the small AC unit located hidden behind the dresser with TV. I had called to ask about smoking on the patio, the suite photos @ hotels.com show a nice sitting area outside, our suite had none. The courtyard was nice looking, I think the "new" owner who took over in 2014 spent all their money on the courtyard.

Ula P.

Yelp
It is not a hotel anymore. It is a beautiful member's club. The food, the ambience and the service is amazing ! No pics allowed inside.

Wendy Harding H.

Yelp
This is a nice pleasant atmosphere for people on the move, we needed something quick, with a dog and this was it! A mix of straight and gays, & though a lil old, it's cute, hidden and has its own hidden charm, no bugs, coffee and fresh baked muffins & croissants each morning. Great location to great area and restaurants, one block up from Sunset on St. Vincent Blvd.

Nicole G.

Yelp
I stayed here for my 40th birthday celebration. I think this hotel is perfect! It was close to everything. The hotel isn't the biggest most luxurious hotel but it was clean, quaint and chill. The staff were absolutely professional, kind and helpful. I would most definitely stay here again. Just ask for an extra clean room prior to Check in and the staff will take care of you!

Katie P.

Yelp
Why people would pay to cone here I have no idea. Vibe and decor aren't great. People are pretentious.

Luis O.

Yelp
This place was conveniently close to night clubs in West Hollywood, so we rented a room for the weekend, too bad it was full of bed bugs. Do not stay there unless you want to be scratching your entire body for the next days. This is the first time I have this problem in my life so at first I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something else. Next Monday I called San Vicente to warn them of problem, first time I was on hold for 10 mins so had to called again, next time I was told I had to call back again to speak to Mgr since he was not there that day. STAY OUT OF THIS PLACE

Keith H.

Yelp
Where do I even begin? The room was a putrid green coffin (no closet). With our luggage, there was absolutely no room to walk so the bed became our bridge to the door. The bed was, without a doubt, the oldest and worst mattress that I have ever slept on in my life. The springs made individual coil noises throughout the night. For two adult men, they gave us only one pillow for a queen size bed and only one towel (seriously). The shower temperature would not regulate and the bathroom light burned out after our first night, so they handed us a bulb and my BF had to replace it (which he didn't mind doing, btw). The lack of attention to detail was inexcusable; chaise pads were torn and falling apart, courtyard trash cans were over-filled and the staff ignored them and the paid parking was like piling blocks or musical chairs. Less than a block from Santa Monica boulevard was a plus but since it's no longer a "gay" establishment, it's a bit too shabby, unkempt, and definitely NOT worth the inconvenience.

Andy M.

Yelp
FRAUD ALERT: This place will charge you $37 upon check-in, or else cancel your reservation. Also, this place is a dump. Not quant at all, just dirty and low class. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Joey T.

Yelp
My partner and I are on a road trip from Texas. We made reservations thinking The San Vicente Inn was an exclusively gay resort. It was advertised as such. Not only is it not a gay resort; for the price it is a seriously decaying shell of a hotel. We strongly recommend that you do some investigation before making reservations.

Lj P.

Yelp
Great location, fun pool concept, room was a dump for what you pay. They were out of body soap and hand soap. The rooms need to be fully renovated, it was pretty ghetto. They had a mix match of newer and very very old stuff, I'm talking 80's maybe 70's appliances. Certain wall outlets didn't work But my friends and I had fun, nice staff and a cool out door set up.

Eirik N.

Yelp
I give 2** only because the staff was really nice, and the location. Our room was old, smelled weird and did not have a door to our toilet/shower. the breakfast was some few bread looking things. the coffee was great thou, but please offer some yogurt or something :-) if you only need a place to sleep, and are traveling alone, you can easie sleep here. short way to everything, and there is a busstop at both sides of the street. also, easie connection to the airport or universal.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
This place is hilarious. -you WILL be freezing your ass off because their "blanket" is a thin sheet of curtain! Brr! -$99 for a night's stay?! Oh but remember to tack on $20 of parking in a horribly impractical area (behind and in front of cars)...a little "surprise" they disclose once you've already made the commitment via payment. -a SHARED bathroom. LOL. -their "free breakfast" is hilarious. The coffee was actually not bad but the croissant looked 10 years old and there were only 2 left. I will say that it is located in an AWESOME location of L.A. - right in the heart of WEHO, aka, the best part of L.A. - the prettiest and cleanest. I loved the location but other than that? TOTAL CRAPOLA. AVOID.

Diana D.

Yelp
The smaller rooms are re-done and kinda cute but the bigger room I had was totally gross. So old, ripped and dirty furniture, dusty, dirty walls and paint. Also beware they charge a "resort fee" which is ridiculous since this is not a resort. Also the room smelled so strongly of bleach and the sheets were so over-bleached I couldn't even sleep in them the smell kept me up. See photos they speak for themselves. The staff was nice and I like that they have the soaps, shampoos well stocked with a nice brand. Also no mini-fridge fyi. SO after I complained about the smell they put me in another room the 2nd night which was a redone room and much nicer. So if you pay for the upgraded larger room - be sure and let them know you want to be in an UPDATED room in order to avoid what I went through.

Eric K.

Yelp
It's hollywood. You pay $400 for a Mariot or you find something like this. The exterior is awesome, mood lighting, awesome heated pool. Very laid back social type setting. Cant beat the location. Very close to a ton of bars and restaurants. Very unique. Why the three stars? Rooms are old and outdated, bedding is motel 6 style, flat pillows, scratchy sheet, scratchy http://partnersdallas@uber.com/ widow units, no electronic locks, metal keys glu3d to g8ant room cards, etc. Pulled back the sheets to check the bed and it was all kinds of tore up, local TV only. You take the good with the bad. I would recommend but come knowing this not your typical hotel room.

Michele R.

Yelp
This place has a few upgrades and will eventually be completely upgraded. There are several cute and peaceful sitting areas, the staff are friendly, the area is quiet, and they provide hot coffee, cold orange juice, and pastries every morning from 8 to 10. Parking on the street is difficult but they do provide parking in the driveways between several bungalows. You need to leave your key with the front desk so they can move your car if necessary. Checkout is at noon which is nice. It's within walking distance to both The Whiskey and The Viper Room but you don't hear the noise from Sunset Boulevard. There are not enough linens on the beds so we were cold last night and this morning. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Jason A.

Yelp
Woof. This place is disgusting. The only thing they have going for them is the location. I was planning a trip with some friends and we came across this place (unfortunately). We looked at some of the pictures online, and a few of the reviews and decided to book it for a night while in West Hollywood. They had somehow lost our reservation but still had a room available but they wouldn't honor the rate we were quoted. Fine. When we checked into the room, we couldn't believe how dumpy it actually was. It looked nothing like the pictures we saw online. We went to use the steam room only to find a padlock on the door. When we asked about this at the front desk, they informed us that they had closed it that day, for good. Never-mind that was part of the reason we chose this hotel. We tried asking for the manager because the guy at the front desk didn't seem to give a rip about our complaints and were told "I am the manager." Needless to say, he wouldn't do anything to help the situation. In summary, if you are looking to stay in a good location in West Hollywood and don't mind sleeping in a dirty, dilapidated hotel - then this might be the place for you. But if you are looking for decent customer service, and cleanliness, I'd highly recommend you stay elsewhere. Bungalows?! More like bungholes.

Edward H.

Yelp
Stayed here 2 nights. First night was my own fault. Saw ad for bungalow style hotel on priceline. So I booked. Arrived, and was told I rented a room with shared bathroom. Came to Hollywood with the girlfriend and 2 daughters. Later realized this place is in a gay neighborhood(no big deal) but this is apparently where the gays come to get it on. All of night one, the men next door were having sex and the walls are thin. Night 2, paid and secured a suite w/ private bath. Yes!!!! Almost, wake up at 6AM and open the front door to go and try the breakfast provided and a guy is passed out on one of the pool chairs. Definitely not a place for children. Creeky floors. Rooms could definitely be cleaned better. This place has potential to be better. It's a very cool setup. Just needs private restrooms in all rooms. Especially considering what you pay per night.

Lilian W.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Hollywood, great location but the condition of the complex needs a lot of attention, an extreme makeover. The towels are all worn out. In general the whole complex is dirty with spider webs & spiders. The staff are friendly & helpful. BTW they charged $25 for parking per night. I don't recommend to stay here.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Yes it was quaint, but the highlight of the stay was the clerk Shawn who worked the 11-7am shift. I saw him be attentive to all customer needs and made sure he was available for as little things as ice, or a taxi for a customer who was lost. The personal touch from Shawn gives me reason to return. Great location for clubs and bars in the 'Gay Community'. No concerns about getting back to the room after a fun filled evening in town. The room and hotel gave me a safe and secure environment to be at!

W C.

Yelp
Beautiful stay. The poolside area is so peaceful to lounge around at. A little retreat for this New Yorker. The rooms were very homey, but chilly at night. Location is great, close to restaurants and shopping in West Hollywood. Hotel was very affordable for the scenery you get.

Wendy G.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a night or weekend out. I rented a room for my wife and I for her birthday we were near all the west hollywood bars. The room was great (we received an upgrade free of charge, the desk clerks were the nicest group, very friendly and parking is offered as well. the complimentary breakfast is fresh with ice cold orange juice, milk fresh muffins, croissants etc.. we defiantly plan to come again.

Ian P.

Yelp
Interesting. Good price for area, and just incredibly cute and unique buildings. I cannot express enough how cool our first impression was, we were instantly delighted. 3 front desk guys. One guy totally forgot or blew off our request for extra pillows and "extra" towels (there was 1 bath towel and 1 washcloth when we checked in). However, the other two were VERY friendly and accommodating, and our second request for the same was honored promptly and with a smile. The rooms: housekeeping was A-OK (minus the lack of towels). Decor simple but clean, we had no problems with the furniture, nice new TV, mattress comfortable and obviously new. Very good size (note - we did NOT get one of the rooms with the shared bathrooms). Housekeeping didn't happen the 2nd day, but we were only out of it for about 2 hours, so maybe they just figured not to come in as we were there? Hard to say. The guests: I can't speak to the other reviews about the guests, as I wasn't there when they were. When we were there, most the patrons were obviously gay - here's the thing - I don't care. Everybody was very nice and friendly, there was a lovely family with an adorable (5?) year old hanging out in the courtyard most the time. We felt perfectly comfortable. The courtyard: Here there were some issues. Not well kept, but here's the thing - the place is FULL of foliage. This gives a beautiful living vibe to the place, problem is that (especially in the fall) to keep appearances up it would require daily landscaping, which is not happening. Plus, although we weren't lounging by the pool, we did notice that there were a few hours one of the days we were there while they laundered the covers. In a place like this, you should spring for extra sets so that this doesn't happen. Vending machine area was, honestly, smelly and gross. I could have cleaned it spic and span in 1 day, and had an insane urge to do so. They have a small ice machine that you have to ask the Front Desk to fill for you, but there was always a front desk guy there, water was filtered, and we never lacked for ice, so I guess that's not an issue. Parking was fine as far as we were concerned. Yes, we had to give them our keys as they play jigsaw with them to make them all fit, but took 5 minutes tops to get it when we needed it, and who the heck doesn't Uber in LA anyway? All in all, we will definitely go back. Any issues with the courtyard were overshadowed by the fact that the place was overall really awesome. I mean, I really can't express enough how cool the overall vibe of the place is, particularly the bungalows, they're just darling. I'm guessing by the time I go back they will have made further improvements, and will leave another review with an extra star.

Craig C.

Yelp
Talk about quirky and quaint! Just off Santa Monica in the heart of Weho, this charming (I'd call it a bed and breakfast) hotel offers rooms both with and without shared bathrooms. We opted for the private bathroom and were greeted with a smile and friendly service. The room was super quiet, which was nice because we had been driving all night. The bed was comfy minus the fact that there were only 2 pillows (we are pillow snobs). Fun fact, there is a blanket hiding in the closet (we learned this too late after we were cold all night). In the morning there were pastries and coffee served. We decided to take a dip in the heated pool. Overall super cute, low price, but don't expect a private suite when you are walking in with under 110$/night in mind. Will definitely return! Looks like a place bringing a larger group would be fun.

Jane B.

Yelp
Unfortunately we got a queen bed instead of king, But all was good Mr. Ashwaqre was extremely pleasant and it showed he cares about the needs of the clients.

Jacqui P.

Yelp
I DO NOT recommend this place! The photos are completely misleading. This place has so much potential but as of now is dirty and completely run down. Upon arrival, the outside looks cute and quant. Something a little more chill and personal then the rest of L.A. Until you walk thru the front gate.... the courtyard where you check in is a total disaster. No fallen leaves or tree/flower blossoms have been swept in weeks. Ash trays have not been emptied. The pool definitely has not been cleaned in ages. Garbages have not been emptied. Only to lead us to our first room. The smell was unbearable, the bathroom smelled like urine. The walls were filthy, hands prints and dirt throughout the entire room. The bed had two visible bugs crawling on it. The curtains had terrible stains. My fiancé went to the front desk and told them we couldn't stay in the room and wanted a refund. They offered us a suite that was "just cleaned". I decided to give it a chance and not be "snobby". This room was not any better. Again, filthy walls. Makeup covering the bathroom walls, stains throughout the living room area, and stains throughout the bedroom. Again, the curtains were stained. The towels were old and stained, accompanied by holes. The bed sheets were blood stained. The carpet was filthy. The couch was stained and torn. The smell throughout the room was terrible. This place apparently does not pride itself in cleanliness or maintenance AT ALL. Nothing about it is suitable to even rest your head for the night. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Edmen M.

Yelp
Super good time you know it is what it is the room we stayed sweet it was amazing #A -the courtyard was so cute, the pool spa area amazing:) really close the bar area walking distance people are really friendly it was a really nice time we enjoyed it* Yes definitely get a room with two beds and bathroom there are price range is right in line. Staff are really friendly structured but friendly-

Joe M.

Yelp
This place is adorable! Super personable staff! Anyone on here that have it poor reviews probably didn't book their room the right way. My room was clean and had plenty of space for me to live for the few days that I was here. Super special shout out to Shaun at the front desk who helped attend to anything I needed throughout my stay and provided incredible customer service to me and any other person staying here.

Dann M.

Yelp
I only gave 1 star because I couldn't give anything lower. With an overall 2.25 rating I should have stayed elsewhere but with short notice it was all I could get. I will never stay there again. Poor accommodations, right on a busy noisy street, mosquitos in my room, AC didn't work well enough to keep the room comfortable, shower was not clean and smelled musty, light broken in bathroom. After I was charged by Travelocity which I booked the room through, two days AFTER my departure I was charged an additional $38. They didn't tell me of that charge at check in and I suspect they didn't tell me at check out because I would have argued it. I was charged this additional fee for a continental breakfast what wasn't even ready to be served at the time I was checking out and a "resort fee". I asked what the resort fee was and it was "Because we have a pool.", which I never used. I can't tell you how SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED I am that I chose to stay there. It won't happen again and I will go out of my way to make certain none of my friends get hoodwinked into staying here either. Dann Marquardt

Yelp
I meannnnnn. This place has SO much potential but it's going to go under unless they start taking care of the place! At the very LEAST get a cleaning crew!! Even 1 housekeeper would be better than none! Upon letting me into Suite S, the wall light didn't come on, so instead of going the extra mile and changing the bulb for me, the front desk guy just turned on another light and left. Out of the 4 lights in the room, 2 were working. 1 towel in the bathroom, and everything was dirty! Mirrors, Windows, furnishings, shower, disgusting. It's like they put clean sheets on and that's IT. The mattress was as flat as a pancake and the sheets were not soft. Cobwebs littered every corner as if anyone that has ever tended to the room never looks up. I don't know why anyone is even employed there because they all seem like they have zero pride in what they do. Whomever manages this place needs to be fired. Right as I tried to get myself to sleep, a chewed up piece of gum sat perched right on top of the bed post. So disgusted with this place and when it eventually gets bulldozed, now you'll atleast know why. They did nothing to take care of the place. I hate being so brutal but in all honesty, it was a BRUTAL visit.

Wes E.

Yelp
Seriously!! The customer service and rooms are sub par at best. They claim to be on track to be a nicer higher end hotel but are gravely falling short. The desk clerks ignore you while you're standing at the counter and yell from behind the glass door "what do you need?" Need ice? I suggest that you Bring your own. They ran out and I asked the desk clerk when they would get more and his reply was we'll get some "later". We were hanging out by the pool and in the sun and needed ice for our drinks and I noticed that a couple of other guests wanted ice too so I drove to The near by grocery store and picked up a couple of bags ( FOR THE HOTEL ) so that "their" guests could enjoy cold beverages. I returned with two bags of ice and handed the receipt to the desk clerk and said that I grabbed ice for him. Upon leaving a different clerk was present and I inquired about getting reimbursed for the ice that I bought for all of the hotel guests and he looked at me... From behind the glass door And sitting down... And said we don't have to reimburse you. In closing... The hotel staff is as tacky and rude as it's old meth and crackhead clientele. Don't let the "we've remodeled" phrase fool you. I mean.... What hotel doesn't have ice? My suggestion: spend the extra $30-$50 and stay somewhere else in West Hollywood.... You'll be guaranteed better customer service.

Yelp
The worst advertisement of a place. The room is old n dirty. These are not bungalows, these are former houses... It's gross. The furniture looks like it was bought at secondhand stores & I don't want to sit on it. There is dust everywhere & old books. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. Bloodstains on the shower curtains, hair & black crud came out from behind the water faucet of the sink every time I washed my hands. I thought it would stop but it kept happening. We're not even near the pool. We're across the street with our car parked in a dirt lot, a dirt lot that's not secure at all and very expensive($20). Actual homes exist all around my room in the house. It's a nightmare and a complete scam

Yelp
Filthy and overpriced. Very disappointing for the price. It is obvious that the standards of cleanliness are very low here.

Yelp
I have stayed at the San Vicente in the past, when it was gay and operated, the staff is Pleasant, the people are friendly. I would have recommend to anybody who is wanting a good place to stay, this is the place to stay in West Hollywood, but now, the new staff who are indians, they told me I was lying about seeing bugs in the place, if you want a bug Hotel to stay in, this is the place for you, and they need to get an exterminator and take care of the problem before anybody else stays there... My stay was 09/27-09/28

Yelp
I first heard about this place through social media and the review was very positive and intriguing. I visit LA a few times a year and I'm always looking for a good place to stay near UCLA (where my daughter is currently a student.) I've stayed in many mediocre places but this place was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! The photos are not showing the truth! The rooms are disgusting; dirty, small, there's no insulation so the sounds from each room carry like your sharing the same room! The shower was just big enough for us to fit in but worst of all, it was moldy and there were spiders in the corners! Never, never stay here!

Yelp
This place is disgusting, the management is rude and never responsible for anything that the hotel messes up. Need a towel, sorry they are in the dryer, need the light bulb fixed in the hallway so you can see, sorry that guy who screws in a lightbulb is off till Tuesday, need the TV to work, same guy off till Tuesday, need an AC that works, sorry that's the one we have the room and it's not usually this hot outside. For $50 - $100 more a night there are great alternatives. For the same price mid-Wilshire a ton of great options. If you are a gay man above 60 and lost your mind it appears this is the place to hang out. If not, go elsewhere.
