San Deck, Bar & Restaurant

The restaurant is beautiful and it gives you the full Sandton experience. The food is good, uncomplicated and tasty. The service was painfully slow.

We stayed a night at the hotel & had early breakfast. Restaurant is open from 6.30am. We ordered breakfast choices of dishes and drinks from the menu. Surprised to see that there were buffet options too and lots of options to choose from. Desserts, salads, nuts, dried fruits & fresh fruits. Yogurts and lots of fresh fruits drinks. I liked the ginger shots! So refreshing. Liked the smoked salmon. Service is good and staff friendly. We were part of a tour group visiting South Africa. Lovely city Johannesburg.

I made a reservation and when I get there there is no reservation to be seated outside in the shade as they were all reserved already??? So what happened to my reservation, I still don’t know… The service is really slow and it takes very long to get anything I waited for an hour for a fish and chips - which was really good however not enough to compensate for the slow service. I doubt I’ll go back

I had a fantastic birthday celebration at San Deck bar and restaurant with my family and friends. The highlight of our evening was the delicious meat platter we ordered. The variety and quality of meats were exceptional, and everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience memorable. One of the standout features of this place is the cozy fireplace, adding to the overall warmth and charm of the venue. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a balcony with a breathtaking view of the city skyline, enhancing the dining experience further. I highly recommend San Deck for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience with excellent food, friendly service, and a fantastic view of the Sandton city.

Beautiful restaurant with plenty of seating and a very classy vibe. Everyone was very welcoming, this time (last time we were turned away by the entrance by a security guard but he allowed the white couple behind us to enter). The security guard we spoke to today was very welcoming and friendly. Also he was appalled to hear how we were treated the last time, so I'm guessing it's not normal behavior, which is great. Lynette was the perfect hostess, very attentive and friendly. Also she gave the best food recommendations, that oxtail was too die for, it literally fell off the bone. Was pleasantly surprised. Although I had asked for medium done steak, it was 100% done. Also the manager came to check on us too. All in all, the food was divine and the drinks were heavenly. Will definitely be back.

MDUDUZI the waiter is so amazing, his attention to detail is exquisite. He is always checking up on you and makes sure that you are attended to. He is a true asset to the establishment his passion towards his work is what made our experience more pleasant. It's our 3rd return visit to the San Deck Restaurant and Bar and I must say by far the definitely made a mark and we yet to return.

The place is 5/5 all round. the service from our waiter was emaculate and we were a large party but everyone got serviced accordingly by the waiter. the food was really good and the portions of what we ordered were large (wings, burgers and pasta). overall great service and atmosphere. The cocktails were good too.

It is located inside Sandton Sun Hotel. I had both room service menu and inside restaurant service. There was nothing to complain. I had San Wrap, Pasta and Soup in different times. Also eggs Benedict. Everything was very good. Service was also very good. Prices are normal. Try it for yourself.
