Salon 39

This place is cute and cosy but when filled with guests, it was hard to hear each other. The food was good, we started with the oysters which were great. I ordered the chicken with peri-peri sauce for main course but it was not spicy at all. My companions ordered the steak and they said it was tough. Dessert and cheese to complete the meal was also great. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

Great all around. Really good and unique flavour food; compliments to the chef. Desert was tasty also. Good and deep flavour cocktails available as well. Great service and clean restaurant. Really a pleasant surprise.

Went for a quick cocktail before dinner. The bar staff João and Cem helped with drink recommendations. The drinks were superb and would recommend anyone looking for a great cocktail and mixology to give this place a try. It was my birthday and they also gave me a complimentary whisky and made it a special experience. The bartenders also made something off menu that was simply delicious. Will be back and will try the food as well next time. Thanks for a great drink and great service. Will be back again.

I am not accustomed to nicer meals, so I have no clue if the food is higher quality or not, but to me, it was fantastic. Great atmosphere, especially after the dinner rush. The server/bartender was very knowledgeable and provided great suggestions. I missed out on the caviar, assuming because it was too late at night, but that is okay. Would come again if I was in town longer.

Charming restaurant in a quieter part of the neighborhood serving bistro like dishes. Had the steak and fries, it was very well prepared and bearnaise sauce was as expected. Nothing spectacular but good basis quality. They also have quality cocktails.

I was really excited to visit this place since I’ve heard many good things about it and all I can say that this is one of the most underrated places who serves high quality food (the meniu is not very wide, but there is variety of delicious snacks and main courses you can try, fell in love with oysters especially, they were served with specific sauce that I still can’t get out of my head😅) coctails are 10/10, the bartender always ready to help finding best coctails for everyones taste, the coctails that I had were silky and smooth, just the way I like and had expensive taste about them. Higly recommend for locals and foreigners too.

Esben offered us one of the best customer experiences we’ve ever received in a restaurant. This all started because the restaurant was fully booked and that day was the first time we’ve celebrated my bf’s name day, so a prepared an entire weekend of events. I called the restaurant and couldn’t reach them but after I messaged them, I was called back and we were offered a table. The food and drinks were exquisite and we were extremely happy for the service by all stuff who was very welcoming and kind to us. We’ll definitely return to SALON 39 very soon!! Thanks Esben and staff. You made our experience very pleasant and happy.

Cool and a bit weird decor but I kindda like it! Very kind staff, cosy surroundings and good food. Started with a non-alcoholic cocktail (Placebo), because I was the designated driver, and it was really good. Then had the steak with a side order of fresh peas with pancetta - really tasty. The selection of desserts was a bit disappointing, so we didn't order any. Must come back for drinks another time!

Amazing little spot which feels so intimate and authentic, yet very thought through! Started with drinks in the bar, great old fashioned! Moved on to the table and ordered a range of different dishes to share. I wish I could remember everything we ordered but none of the dishes failed us! Affordable considering the quality you get. As a fan of atmospheres this place is part of my top 10-list. Felt like a movie. Definitely coming back!

I went for dinner at Salon 39 for the first time yesterday at 8pm. I have only heard good things, so I was really excited and I really wanted to enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, half of the menu was missing. The waiter said it was due to a concert in the nearby venue, Forum. Not sure why they couldn't anticipate that - it can't be the first time. This was a bit of a let down. The waiter was not as welcoming as one could wish for, and when I asked for a vegetarian option (non listed on the menu), he couldn't come up with any suggestions on the spot. He did however return after talking to the Chef, and I ended up getting a delicious salad. The few available items on the menu were great, and everyone in the party really liked the food. The steak was the biggest hit, I think.

A great place I have been wanting to try it for a long time. A nice and cozy place with great food amazing cocktails super cool ambiance and best of all very decent prices. I had the veggie side of the menu the creamy risotto with mushrooms which was delicious and their grilled beetroot with feta that was very good. My friends all tried the burger which they acclaimed was really good and so were the fries with their homemade smoked mayonnaise. The place is very much alive bustling with people and a very cool bar. I can really recommended the service was also very good!

Salon 39 is my favorite cocktail bar in Copenhagen. Come here for the drinks, and maybe some food on the side. They recently changed their menu, but when I went a few weeks ago I ordered the three cheese pasta. I thought that the Gorgonzola overpowered the other cheeses, and would have liked a fresh element on the plate, but any of my reservations about the food were blown out of the water by the fantastic service, atmosphere, and the AMAZING cocktails! My friend and I didn't make a reservation, but luckily someone cancelled and we were seated almost immediately (make a reservation, you don't want to miss out on this experience)! I ordered the Four Grain Whisky Sour first, and found it strong but complex. Our dashing waiter recommended that I try the Gotham Old Fashioned next, which came with a bullet frozen in an ice cube (A+ for presentation)! For dessert my friend and I ordered the Coffee Martini and the Salon 39 White Russian. The Coffee Martini was delicious, but the White Russian was the real star. If you are only ordering one drink, order the White Russian. It was the most delicious dessert cocktail (and dessert in general) that I have ever had. The toasted marshmallow it came with was a treat, and the complex basil and berry notes added a subtlety that brought new revelations with each sip. The atmosphere was classy but hyggeligt at the same time, with a warm color palette and blues records playing that brought me back to my Southern past. Salon 39 utilizes all of its space without seeming crowded, with two levels to seat more customers. The place was packed the whole time we were there, but we never felt rushed. If you only have one night in Copenhagen, I'd recommend Salon 39 because you can have both a nice dinner and fabulous cocktails in a spectacular atmosphere.

Great Bar / Restaurant. Really good atmosphere. Really good food. I went twice. Burger was great. Cod was excellent, as was the side of peas with cabbage and bacon. It feels like a locals place. A classy one.

Good place for having drinks and eating. Not the best food in the world, but the atmosphere and drinks makes up for it.

Great drinks, good food and really cozy. Just make sure to be ready to wait for some time in case it is full - it is very popular in the neighborhood

Very disappointing visit. We were a group of 5 people and we all ordered burgers and beer. The order was quite simple, yet they still managed to mess up our order and we had to remind them on several occassions that we were still missing one burger or one beer. We ended up ordering cocktails as well, they arrived very late. We had to get in contact with our waiter several times to hear when we would get our cocktails. Even when asking for the bill, we had to remind our waiter twice! Quite unfortunate that we had to keep reminding our waiter about everything, and he did not even seem bothered about the situation or humble. On top of that we were not impressed with the food, the burgers were nothing special and were served with a strange mix of mayo and ketchup which none of us thought tasted very good. The cocktails were not great either, they tasted of nothing else than alcohol. Very dissapointed. Will not return.
