I had three meals here during my stay and absolutely LOVED the vibe and food. Ceviche, specials, smoothies, and cocktails were so great. The kids enjoyed playing on the swing and digging in the sand while the adults enjoyed dinner and sunset watching. I highly recommend Sunday funday.

Rocamar definitely lives up to the hype as one of the best spots for the sunset in Costa Rica. Good food, drinks and music makes it a great evening vibe. Also very family friendly The only reason for it not being a 5 star was the staff felt quite pushy when it came to deciding on what we wanted to order. Also encouraging tips at the end which, as a European, is still a bit alien considering we only ordered a few beers and some snacks to share

Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience by the Beach I recently visited a beachfront restaurant with stunning views, hoping for a memorable dining experience. The location is undoubtedly a highlight, offering breathtaking scenery that adds a unique charm to the place. The service started off friendly and attentive, which made a positive first impression. However, the experience took a turn when we received the bill. The waitress asked if we wanted to add a tip, despite the menu clearly stating that a 10% service charge was already included. This left me feeling confused and slightly uncomfortable, as it seemed unnecessary to pay twice for the same service. As for the food, it was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the high prices. The flavors were underwhelming, and the dishes lacked the quality you’d expect for the cost. On a brighter note, the cocktails were delicious and well-prepared, which partially redeemed the experience. Overall, while the location and drinks were fantastic, the food and awkward tipping situation left much to be desired. It’s a great spot for a drink by the sea, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a full meal.

Nice spot on the beach for a sunset. They were just reopening they had a few items that weren’t on the menu but the staff and food were very good regardless. Great hidden little gem right on the beach.

Saw a few mixed reviews but my experience was very positive. I arrived at around 5 on a weekday and there were a few people there but it wasn’t too busy. The place itself has a great atmosphere. Practically on the beach surrounded by greenery and very relaxed. The staff were a highlight, service was quick and very friendly. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and that everything was okay. They spoke both English and Spanish with ease. The food was great. The fish tacos were amongst the best I’ve had and the yucca fries were new for me but delicious. I had the Alfajor ice cream sandwich to finish off and it was really lovely. Definitely recommend checking it out. Great place to watch the sunset with some great food and I imagine it would be a fun place to have a relaxed lunch or breakfast.

Service very friendly but slow. Atmosphere fantastic- lunch on the beach is great but the food left a lot to be desired. Smash burger was greasy and next to no flavor. The fish burger had me thinking where is the fish? Hardly any fish on the burger at all and for 6700 colones? It tasted like I was eating a bun. So disappointing for the price. We used to LOVE this restaurant but not sure if we will be back.

Rocamar is right! Sunset views are the absolute best. And our server was so very friendly and kindly spoke amazing English. We really enjoyed our drinks and appetizers here. The beverages were very fresh and quite tasty. It was a wonderful experience!

Beautiful beach location. Amazing Fish tacos and sandwiches. Tropical drinks and ice cream.
