I started using this salon after using different very nice salons on the UES for my entire adult life. I have been very happy and impressed with Rob Peetom salon and it truly stands up to Manhattan (or really anywhere - Amsterdam, Paris, Tokyo) standards. The physical space is beautiful and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It is very convenient to book online and there have been no technical issues with the bookings. I see Hitomi for hair color and she is absolutely outstanding, with technical skills far above what I've experienced at many other well respected, high end salons - some of her clients even come in regularly from L.A. because they can’t find a substitute for her in California and I know why, she had rigorous training and really KNOWS color, highlights - just everything. Both Adriana and Koji have cut my hair and both are similarly excellent. I can’t think of a bad thing to say about this place & I would strongly recommend this salon to anyone.

Pricey but you will feel well taken care of. I come here for a really good haircut. They also sell great products up front. Space is beautiful.

I went to Nika to get my hair done for a wedding. She listened to what I wanted and delivered! It was my first time at this salon, clean, chic and reasonably priced.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Rob Peetoom today. I stumbled upon this salon one day and saw they used some of my favorite products Davines and Biologique Recherche. I booked a hair color appointment with Emily Claire she is fantastic. She really took her time and helped me figure out what color would look best. I left loving my color and feeling so confident. Everyone is so kind in the salon. Ashley the manager is so attentive. I can't wait to come back and get a keratin treatment with Raphael. This is my new favorite salon can't recommend enough.

I booked a blowout with an additional charge for hot tools for my friends wedding. Very clean, open and modern salon. Everyone was friendly. I was offered espresso, champagne. I was very comfortable in the salon. The stars are lost because my blowout was a bust. my curls fell before I got off the block and I didn't have any left by the time of my event. this was a disappointment because my bill was nearly $100 ( blowout $60 hot tools $20). I would not book a curly blowout here because I literally could have done it better myself.

They did the worst blow dry I've ever had, the stylist was burning my skin with the blow drier over and over and my hair looked flat, bland and frizzy, opposite of how it should look. Never going back.

She is super professional but also friendly and engaging. Her technical skills are far above what I've experienced even at other very well respected salons. Even if I move back to Manhattan, I will continue coming to this salon. Would strongly recommend.

Great hair color and cut. Stars are lost though because i'm never coming back. They lied to me about my bill and overcharged me. When I was paying at the register I even questioned it but they said that's the price. The receptionist even walked over to the colorist to "confirm" the price. 5 mins later I walked outside and looked at the website to see the prices for the services I got and yep I was overcharged. I called them and told them what I saw and they said yep we will refund you. Yes i got my refund immediately. I think they knew what they were doing and just wanted to make some extra money therefore I felt weird about them and not going to come back to a shady place.

Facial/esthetician Jay was totally worth it, I have baby skin now, I felt welcome and cared for and the outcome is undeniable. Book Jay!

Just had an AMAZING haircut by Adriana at Rob Peetoom. She gave me the "hot girl hair" I've always wanted. And because she's also a hair educator she took a lot of time to explain the thinking behind her strategy for my hair grow-out plan and she taught me a totally new technique for drying it without a hairdryer and round brush. Really great haircut-- you'll pay a little extra but it's totally worth it for the level of service and her expertise.

I had plans to visit New York for only a weekend and knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity to get a haircut of a lifetime and boy did Rob Peetoom deliver!! After looking through reviews, I decided to book with Koji and I'm so glad I did!! He's been cutting hair for 15 years and knew exactly how to give me a haircut that would look great and be low maintenance. I had thick hair that always weighed me down, giving me absolutely no volume and it made me feel super frustrated and stuck with my options. I gave him creative freedom and I love what I got! Definitely recommend looking up some Pinterest ideas to understand what you are/aren't comfortable with. A bit of a splurge on a haircut but definitely worth it if you're looking for a new look!

Nicola was fantastic! We tried a new style for the blow out and it was perfection.

So I spent basically an entire day at the salon and I couldn't be happier! I got a facial by Dovilé - first facial ever and definitely going back to her. She is so gentle and my skin was GLOWING and has never looked better. After that I did the YUME hair spa ritual which was so relaxing I actually fell asleep while Mariel worked her magic on my hair! If that wasn't enough to make someone's day perfect, I then got my hair cut and colored by Nick. Nick is literally a ray of sunshine and made me so comfortable - I knew I was in great hands. I was basically mesmerized watching him cut and color my hair - he pays so much attention to the technique and he's not happy until you're happy and your hair is perfect. I've already booked my next two appointments with Nick and I've raved about this salon to so many people already and I only left like an hour ago. For real, treat yourself to ANY of the services here and you'll feel like royalty when you leave. Thanks Rob Peetom team!!

I work next door and stopped by after work. Koji was very welcoming and precise in his motions. My haircut came out looking really amazing-I feel so much more distinguished!

First off, the salon is stunning and so clean. Koji cut and styled my hair. Honestly the best cut I've ever had. He took the time to really understand what I wanted and also gave me input about how to style before cutting. He gave me exactly what I wanted! My hair has never looked better. Will absolutely be back to see Koji soon!

If I could give more stars, I would. Let me start off by saying I hardly go to Brooklyn but when my stylist let me know he was at a newer salon out there, I knew it was time to get on the L train while I could to go see him! I was not disappointed in the least, Alexander is just so fantastic on all levels. I needed to go a little shorter this time as due to medications/ medical issues I have begun to lose some hair and he made me feel and look like a million bucks. I am a no fuss girl and he gave me something I could handle at home. Just love him. He is so beautiful on the outside and inside. Just a person you want to be near all the time. Also had the pleasure of meeting some other staff members and they were so nice and welcoming. Super informative. I am definitely coming back for the other services, especially the one where it is like a facial for your scalp! The place is just so beautiful, spacious and comfortable with a definite cool vibe. They offer you water, tea and coffee and the coffee is Nespresso, and we all know I love that. They even serve it with a cookie! So yes, I will go back to Brooklyn again for the experience and can't wait to bring friends and family!

Was fortunate to get a $145 haircut from a Master Stylist who happen to be on hand and my hair looked fantastic. The stylist had a unique way of cutting the tufts of my hair making my hair look lightly layered and feathery.

Rob Peetoom hair salon and Nick the hair stylist have given me the best hair experience that I've had in a long while! I was not happy with my previous cut that I had at a different salon back in October. I told Nick that my hair felt "lifeless" since the last cut. Together he reviewed the current state of my hair and went over his game plan and set quickly set to work. I am more than happy with the result! Nick not only fixed my hair cut, he also brought out the natural personality of my hair! The bounce is back in my hair and I am definitely coming back! Make sure to ask for Nick! First time at the salon and had such a great experience. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nick (My lovely hairstylist) toured me around the place and took such great care of me. People come and go but a great hairstylist is forever! Already excited for my next appointment!!

Absolutely gorgeous salon with very friendly staff. Have not had a haircut but have been in for facial (highly recommend!) The following review is about the INEQUITABLE PRICING BASED ON GENDER, as Im surprised they still categorize by "MEN" and "WOMEN". I understand that longer hair, traditionally women's hair, usually equates to a longer service because it requires a more extensive cut or a gorgeous blowout and I am in agreement that the more intricate the service or experienced the stylist, the price should reflect that. However, as a woman with very short hair, you're asking for $20 and more (not factoring in a higher tip %) simply because of the gendered pricing structure. I presume you have clients who don't identify as cis-gender. I'm asking that your pricing structure be changed to hair length rather than gender for the sake of inclusivity, equity and equality. After all it is 2019, time to break down gender discrimination and eliminate the "pink tax", don't you agree?

WOW so excited to have found this beautiful salon! I've been going to the same hair dresser since 2006 and finally i decided to switch it up. I was referred to Rob Peetoom by a friend and I couldn't have had a better experience. I've been back multiple times since and every time I leave feeling like a new refreshed person. I'm pretty lazy about writing reviews in general but the experience was so good I have to write something. First, it's definitely the best looking salon I've been to in NYC. As soon as you walk through the door they and make you feel at home. While waiting for your cut you're able to thumb through photo books and magazines while drinking a nice espresso. I'd come here for the espresso alone it's that good. My hair stylist takes the time to understand exactly what I'm after and instead of trying to alter my look (which is pretty typical in NYC), he enhances what I already have, and makes a better looking version of me. I leave getting some of the best cuts I've ever gotten and always leave feeling super confident. From the second I walk through the door to the second I leave, everyone is friendly, and really puts me first and makes the experience really amazing. I highly recommend this place.

This was my first experience at Rob Peetoom and I will definitely be back. I walked into the luxurious space and was met by friendly and knowledgeable stylist. Nina Rubel transformed my grown out neglected highlights (thanks Covid). The color is natural and luminous. Drew Schaefering did the cut keeping in mind my attachment to my long locks and worked with me to achieve the refreshed look I had in mind. This is quite possibly the best my hair has ever looked. I left Rob Peetoom yesterday feeling gorgeous and pampered for the first time in months. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment ASAP. Thank you Rob Peetoom!!

This salon is my new favorite in all of NYC. I had walked into a Rob Peetoom in Amsterdam a couple of years ago and had a great style and cut so was really happy they opened one here. Nice selection of drinks, snacks, and Davines hair products to go with the cut and the location is beautifully designed. The experience was the same as I remembered and the stylist that I worked with (Linda) is from another location in Holland. I usually let the stylist help decide on my cut so having a really creative person do my hair is important to me. The team all seemed really friendly and will definitely go back. I've gotta say it's pretty much the only reason I'll be going to Brooklyn regularly for!

I went to Rob Peetoom for a color touch-up and had a lovely experience with the stylist and staff. The salon is brand new and beautiful and spacious, with a couch and complimentary coffee/tea/cold drinks "bar." They carry an extensive selection of Davines hair products. I'd never tried this brand before and purchased the Love shampoo and conditioner. I can't believe how shiny it makes my hair.

I cannot say enough great things about Michael. I am really picky when it comes to my ever changing hair. Micheal always nails it. He creates this beautiful vibrant color and a cut that makes my weird wavy fine hair move look and feel amazing. He is true professional that is always willing to take it up a notch. He is also makes the time fly by being so nice and fun! This salon is so beautiful and everyone was so nice!

So very happy with the results of my color. Nick is a magician. I came in with such brassy damaged looking hair and Nick transformed me with balayage highlights and gave me such a beautiful tone. After reading lots of reviews, I made an appointment with Koji for a basic haircut. I am coming back a month later to write that this is hands down the BEST haircut I have ever gotten in my life. Goodbye dead ends and hello so much shine and volume. All of my friends and family have commented on how much healthier it looks. I also started using an olaplex hair oil for my ends and it's been amazing. Shoutout to Koji for making me feel so beautiful and refreshed!!

I had the best time ever at Rob Peetom salon! The place is incredibly beautiful and makes you feel like a treat yourself special day. I went there to do my highlights, after haven't been to a hairstylist for years. I have always been disappointed with hair salons and was doing my colors by myself at home for years. But my hair started to be really dry and the color turning orange... so I thought I should give it a try again and went to Rob Peetom. Nick took care of me and seriously did the best job ever, I can't say thank you enough! He explained me the whole process, was very gentle, nice and fun. The color simply looks great! He recommended me hair products to take care of my highlights daily at home, and I have to say my hair look so different now! Thank you so much for everything Nick, I had the best time! (also the salon served me cappuccino/cookie and fresh orange juice while waiting for the color to take which was a really nice touch)

I went here for the first time recently and had my haircut by Jackie. First off, let me tell you the space is beautiful! It is nicely decorated and they offer you espresso while you wait for your stylist, big plus. Jackie was really sweet and listened to everything I wanted to change with my hair. I left feeling super happy with my cut. I'll be back for a cut with Jackie for sure! The only thing I would say is make sure you enter through the right door, they have a separate door that enters into the cafe area which was a little misleading for some clients.

Fantastic experience with Sergio for a much-needed women's haircut! The space itself is lovely, and everyone from the receptionist to the stylist was kind and friendly - setting the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. Sergio was precise and experienced in creating a truly beautiful cut, while also taking the time to share his techniques and make me feel pampered. A wonderful new salon that I will return to as a regular!

Had my hair cut by Nick a week ago and I am in love! The salon is beautiful and the service is amazing! I felt welcomed and comfortable as soon as I walked in. Nick was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable with the cut before he started. I cut my hair pretty short after having long hair for years and I'm in love with the shorter hair! We discussed some color options and decided to lighten my hair just in time for summer, I'm going back next weekend to color my hair with Nick and I can't wait!!
