I've always wanted to visit Rick's Cafe because I saw it as one of those 'must go to' locations. I visited it in the early morning, like around 10 am, which was a bad idea, because the place was empty. I was later told that Rick's Cafe doesn't start to get lively until around 1pm. So I drove around Negril a bit until it got later.
When I did come back in the later hours, it was a complete change. The whole parking lot was full of cars and the place crammed with people... Rick's Cafe had truly started to come to life.
The music was bumping, the dancers were dancing and people were just having fun... Rick's Cafe was truly a vibe. If you're a person who doesn't like heavy crowds, then this place is not for you because it gets very crowded on a daily basis. Most, if all of the crowd, are tourists.
Watching people cliff jump in the sea was a spectacle. Speaking of the sea, I have never seen sea water so blue and clear anywhere else in Jamaica. It made me wonder if they put something in it to make it look that way.
As it got later, the real spectacle of Rick's Cafe started to take place, the sunset. The sunset from Rick's Cafe was magnificent... it happened real fast too.
Now, I didn't order any food or drink, I really just went there for the vibes and overall experience.
