Where to Try Bandeja Paisa in Bogotá

"Positioned in the city's financial heart as a chic, country-style dining spot often booked for special occasions, this restaurant offers a classic bandeja paisa that is 'based on a recipe from yesteryear.'" - Veronica Stoddart

I Have been here twice The first time I sit on the second floor where everyone was super nice ! I enjoyed it! The second time a waitress on the first floor (ground floor) was a terrible waitress, not friendly and charged me tips twice. She put my bill in the pos machine which already included the tips , and then there is still options for me to add 5%, 10% tips on the machine !! And she “kinda forced” me to choose 10% tips again! Which made me very uncomfortable The terrible waitress worked there on 5th October 2025 during lunch time , she served for the tables near the stairs leading to the second floor! Be careful with your bill!

Everytime we are in Bogota we make our way back to La Herencia a time or two. Cute spot with traditional delicious food, great service. Don't forget to try the Lemonade with Mint and some Patacones!

Excellent spot. Super cute and comfortable with Colombian specialties. We came for the ajiaco, but it turns out if you come for breakfast, you can only order from the breakfast menu. Make sure you show up at the right time for any particular food you want. Yucca waffle: Crispy and chewy. A bit tough to cut with the butter knife, but delicious. Changua: Milky, creamy, and with tons of flsvor, mainly from the added cheese. Didn't have onions which I've seen elsewhere. Colombian sampler: Get this. Basically one of every appetizer, and they're all fabulous, as is the ají. Lemonade with coconut: Bracing and tart, the way I like it. If you want sweet, look elsewhere. Lemonade with yerba buena: Mild and minty. Also lovely. Service was friendly and attentive. Meal was leisurely and unrushed. Would repeat for lunch.

Very nice restaurant to try Colombian food. Nicely decorated, the team was very friendly. A special mention to Mario, the manager, who was able to take the order in English and give recommendations. I found the chicken curry bowl particularly delicious. There is no doubt you will be satisfied and you won’t be hungry as there will be loads of food in your plate. I highly recommend this restaurant, thanks for this nice moment.

Great place to taste Colombian dishes in a more sophisticated way. Generous portions for a good price. The waiters where always giving excellent service without the need of selling us extra things, that's a plus. You'd probably need to contact them before for reservation but it totally worth it. I went with my 11 family members and we really had a great experience. Hope they keep it that way.

A great place to test Colombia food. I ordered the Ajiaco and l absolutely loved it. The starters are good as well. The place feels like home and welcoming. Will be back again.

We ordered to share between 2 people: Ajiaco Soup,(33.5k) Cazuela Ranchera(37.5k) and Lengua en Salsa Criolla(42.5k). The waitress was super kind and proactively requested the kitchen to serve each dish in 2 separate plates.. so its like we got 6 dishes. Quantities are good to share between 2 people if you are choosing different dishes. We have good appetite so we ordered 3 dishes and we couldnt finish everything. Recommended. May not be the best but it is good.
