"The kitchen quite literally takes centre stage at this impeccable restaurant, sitting in the middle of the stylish room and providing a stage for the chefs to prepare intricate, superbly crafted dishes. Top-notch local fish and shellfish underpins the cooking, with supreme skill evident in the refined balance between the delicate seafood flavours and some stronger components – the grilled scallop with sea buckthorn and pumpkin sauce is a perfect example. The menu has around 20 servings and every aspect unfolds masterfully thanks to the exceptional kitchen and service teams." - Michelin Inspector

2 New Three Star Restaurants in The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Countries 2024

"RE-NAA has become the first-ever restaurant in Stavanger to be awarded Three Michelin Stars. Headed by Chef-Owner Sven Erik Renaa, the restaurant serves as a platform for the team's talents and outstanding Norwegian produce. The chefs' impeccable understanding and balance in treating these ingredients left the inspectors thoroughly impressed, particularly the pairing of subtle seafood flavors with stronger accompaniments." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

reNaa is a lovely fine dining experience. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave this is truly a world-class experience. The servers, chef in the open kitchen and sommeliers all play their part in your dining experience. There are some amazing courses and the attention to detail is very apparent in everything, from the glassware, plates, and just exquisite techniques of food preparation. It’s new Nordic cuisine I guess. The shellfish and their signature calamri tagliatelle were certainly hits for me. The lamb was also amazing. The starter “taco” was not my favorite but was still tasty. I had a lovely dinner but prowl’s not return. It’s a high price point. With wine pairing (just the honest and something?) came to around $800 pp Totally enjoyed my experience and the staff were great. Just not sure it was worth the $$

We scored a table at ReNaa and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Every seafood dish was a masterpiece: creative, flavorful, and flawlessly executed. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and deeply passionate. Chefs, Sommeliers and servers went above and beyond. Truly deserving of their three Michelin stars ✨ Thank you Chef Sven Erik Renaa, chef Mathew Leong and team for your hospitality! We will be back.

Wow, what a meal! The food, the hospitality, the experience was all 5-stars. One of the best meals I’ve had in years. There was so much creativity in the dishes. My buddy convinced me to fly into Stavanger for one night to have this meal and it was so worth it. Thank you chef and team!

What an absolutely flawless dining experience. I've made it into quite a serious hobby to travel around the world to visit different restaurants, and Re-Naa is without a doubt one of the best experiences I've ever had. The depth, variation and purity of flavours if each dish is mind blowing. Every dish left a strong impression on the palate and memory. The service is extremely friendly but still perfectly professional. You can tell that every staff member is genuinely passionate about their job. This is no hyperbole, but I will venture to say that this is one of the world's best restaurants.

We made a reservation early 2024 when Re-naa had 2 stars. Now they received their third before or actual visit. I can not find anything to complain about, everything went smooth like clockwork and the servings, 20 of them were all delicious, majority seafood based. We spent a bit more than 4 hours here and the time flew. Wine pairing was perfect except last dessert whine, a bit too sweet for my taste but otherwise a flawless experience! Head chef welcomed us and made us feel very welcomed.

❤️❤️❤️ My dinner at Re-Naa was an unforgettable gastronomic experience, showcasing seafood and lamb with impressive mastery. The menu, primarily focused on fish, shellfish, and lamb, captivated me with every dish. Among the highlights, the mackerel with wasabi and kaffir lime was a true explosion of flavors, perfectly balanced between freshness and spice. The lobster with elderflower and sea buckthorn also stood out for its subtlety and originality—an audacious and delicious combination. The grilled lamb served with porcini mushrooms added a comforting earthy note, cooked to perfection. For dessert, the mirabelle plums with fig leaf ice cream were my favorite. It was a refined and surprising dessert that concluded the meal on a light and delightful note. I began the evening with a glass of champagne as an aperitif, which set the stage perfectly for the feast to come. The incredible selection of champagnes, sourced from exclusive small producers, is a significant asset for bubble enthusiasts. Personally, I also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, which turned out to be an excellent and creative experience. Each drink complemented the dishes beautifully, adding a new dimension to the overall meal. The service was simply perfect: friendly, attentive, and highly professional, making this evening truly memorable. In summary, I absolutely loved my experience at Re-Naa and recommend this restaurant without hesitation to anyone seeking an exceptional culinary adventure.

The food and service was great. The head chef/owner went out to every table and greeted his guest which made me feel like we were at his home. We also had the pleasure of meeting his wife and business partner and she was phenomenal. I highly recommend the wine pairing, it definitely added to the meal. Be prepared to spend at least $400 but its well worth it.

Google
This was an amazing dining experience with locally sourced ingridients used in playful and amazingly well matched combination. The Michelin star is well deserved! The whole crew made their utmost to give us a fantastic evening we will never forget! Thank you to Sven Erik and Torill with crew for an amazing evening! 21 courses served over 4 hours. Some might call it expensive, I call it value for money.

Yelp
My friends significant other used to work here so it was on the radar. Getting Stavanger's only Michelin star also increased the intrigue. Chef Sven Erik Renaa runs three restaurants in this complex, fast casual, a bistro and then the flagship tasting menu spot that is Re-Naa. As many of the New Nordic formats, they start you in the Orangeriet for snacks and aperitif. Then you move inside for the main courses and dessert. You then come full circle for the petit fours, caffeine and after dinner spirits back in the orangeriet. Only the beat local producers are highlighted on the menu. It was great to see some of the great ingredients the locale of Stavanger had to offer and with seafood being simply amazing. Ill let the pictures tell the rest of the story hut the star is definitely well deserved

Yelp
Nineteen exceptional courses! Or at least twelve of the nineteen were exceptional. Small and cozy place where the owner and chief chef, Sven-Erik Renaa (I think), along with his seemingly competent staff prepared and presented the various courses. Many unexpected and tasty food pairings. I think this must be among the top five restaurants I ever visited. And not inhumanly expensive (but not exactly cheap either). Too bad it is located in Stavanger, which I am unlikely to visit often.
