This is definitely one of the better if not the best bar in Lan Kwai Fong! The drinks here are great! You can tell they put a lot of effort into making unique and tasty cocktails. The Joli berry, Earl Grey caviar martini and Lavender meringue pie are must haves! My server Kai was great! He was super knowledgeable about the cocktails on the menu and overall just a very nice guy. Definitely stop by here if you wanna enjoy the nightlife in Hong Kong!

It's been just over a decade since the Quinary came bursting into the cocktail scene and they've become a must-drink destination. In addition to being a world class mixologist, founder Antonio Lai has been heralded as one of the city's most accomplished and visionary owners. They've thrived as one of the best options for cocktails in Hong Kong and have also received a number of international accolades (#1) over the years for being one of the best places to imbibe anywhere. Even in a neighborhood as saturated with nightlife and drink options as Central, they've managed to stand out with a steady mix of expats and locals. The narrow space has a lot of industrial and modern elements throughout and is the ultimate date night spot or group drinking ambiance. It's intimate in the best way. The mixologists are top notch and the drinks here are all about presentation while remaining sophisticated in their own way. They're all top notch and are a step above many of their LKF counterparts. The price tag would suggest as such as many drinks are in the $140-160HKD+ range but are made with the sensory approach of texture with a little science. I love their menu that breaks down every drink with purposeful descriptions and drawings. Everyone should make it a point to try their signature Earl Grey Caviar Martini. It's light, potent, and downright gorgeous. The La Poire is also recommended and the poached pear purée really goes so well with the Hennessy. The Forest Affair is a good tequila based cocktail and the Haak Lo Mai is a nutty but somewhat sweet black glutinous rice based drink. Their smoked Manhattan is a cool $200HKD and is easily the slowest sipping drink I'll ever order. I noticed during my last visit that they have now have a food menu, which is a mix of bar friendly bites that span from western to eastern inspired cuisine. From beer batter fish and chips to Peking duck rolls, I am intrigued with much of the selection. Most items are in the $100-140HKD range and seem like solid accompaniments even if cocktails are forever the main act. Most drinking adults should come and experience The Quinary at least once. A special emphasis for cocktail enthusiasts and for anyone who nerds out on mixology. On my first night in Hong Kong during an extended two day layover, I wandered into a bar five minutes away from my hotel on a Monday night. Turns out it's #31 on Asia's 50th Best Bars at the time I went. What intrigued me was the multisensory mixology concept. It's a drinking experience that engage all five senses. I'm not sure if I got that experience fully. Since I was traveling solo I get the benefit of little/to no wait times and a seat at the bar. I love watching the mixologists create their craft and perhaps that fulfilled two of those sensories. For the cocktails, I couldn't help but order the visually stunning Earl Grey Caviar Martini. Now that I've ordered one of this towering foamy drinks I don't have to again. It was very difficult to drink or eat? There must be a trick but I didn't enjoy the drinking process of this drink much. The cocktail itself was okay, but it gets credit for the creativity. The other cocktail I ordered was the Nostalgia. While more visually simple, the flavors had more depth and complexity. I wish I could try more drinks, but I met another solo traveler seated next to me and we were on a mission to check out more of Hong Kong's amazing bars.

Amazing cocktail selection that is uniquely crafted. I recommend going on a Sunday to avoid a crazy line to get in on a Saturday night. We tried going on Saturday at around 9pm for a table of 4, and waited for about 45 minutes. They have plenty of tables for 2 which seem to turnaround pretty quickly. Not very many tables for groups of 4 or larger. All of the drinks have a unique flavor and niche. The waitress was friendly and tentative when ordering food and drinks. Decent selection of shareable bites. The ambiance was fun and trendy. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you're in Hong Kong!

I was so excited to check out this place. I had high expectations for it and they were all surpassed. Quinary was so good and a wonderful experience that we went more than once. Quinary is also listed as one of the worlds 50 best bars! Once you go there, you can see why! The staff is friendly and attentive, very welcoming and speak English as well. The presentation for each drink is beautiful and intriguing. The flavors are unique and astonishing. The vibe and atmosphere to the place is incredible! We sat at the bar and we watched as our drinks and a few others were made. The cost for the drinks are a bit higher than other places but the quality of the ingredients in your cocktails are the best! Both of our visits were great! And we tried different cocktails in each visit and the quality was consistent. I wish I had written down the name of my cocktails but to be honest, all the ones we tried were tasty so I wouldn't worry that anything ordered would taste bad. The staff is also super awesome and laid back, don't be afraid to let them know the type of alcohol you like so they can recommend you a cocktail for your taste. came here with a few girl friends last halloween and had a really great time! great ambience even though (or because?) it was halloween, and even though i'm not much of a drinker you can tell this place takes its drinks very seriously (and not just because it's been ranked on asia's/the world's top 50 bars for consecutive years). the menu itself was beautiful with lovely handdrawn designs of their limited/seasonal specials, i wish i'd taken a picture! i had the haak lo mai (based on the black sticky rice dessert) and my friends had the earl grey caviar martini and... something else i don't remember unfortunately lol. all the drinks were beautifully presented and tasted great too. drinks here are pricey but not out of the norm by LKF standards.

So many fun, creative cocktails here that it was hard to pick just one. I went with the Dylan Rose (dill-infused Ketel One vodka, rose & orgeat syrup, carbonated lemon juice and lime juice) because I was intrigued by dill-infused vodka. The cocktail was incredible refreshing and fragrant but not like perfume or potpourri at all. it was also served in a fancy high tea-esque tea cup. Pinkies up! My fiance ordered the Oolong Tea Collins (Absolut Elyx vodka and an oolong tea cordial), which was really light. It was less sweet than mine as well. Also, the bar chips were really tasty. They seemed like sour cream and onion Lay's but not like the Lay's we have in the states! When I'm back in HK, Quinary is definitely on my must-visit again list! 175/365

Did you know there's a World 50 best list for bars? I didn't, but I learned that Quinary ranks a solid #54 this year and it's been top 50 several times. Regardless of what the world thinks, Quinary makes the top of MY list! I don't know much about cocktails, but I know when they're good. Everything they make is a cohesive experience, and I love them all. Their monthly special, the Chasing Apples, is like a sweet pink champagne. I underestimated the impact of a little smoke in a Jack and Coke, and their Old Fashioned is probably the best in the world. I don't know if that's true, but I don't need to try any others to keep getting this one. The Barrel Aged Sidecar is lighter than I expected but pleasant and easy to drink. The Dark & Stormy Intense is a thrill-ride, bold with a lot of fresh, spicy ginger. These cocktails are curiously strong, so make sure you snack as you sip. Their bar menu is brief, but they have all the drinking staples. The Truffle Fries have real truffle, and the Prosciutto Platter has a lot of pretty good meat. I love this bar. It's sexy and chic but tourist-friendly enough to not make you self-conscious. Pop in for a drink any night, but try to get an early start - this place fills up fast!

I love my experience at Quinary! Their cocktail menu is interesting and playful. What they offers on the regular is amazing but I also highly recommend their special of the Month. Be prepared to be wow by what they serves. Sit at the bar and watch the bartenders/mixologists in action can be a lot of fun. Hong Kong Milk Tea? Pokemon Drink? I love the creativity and playfulness of all the different drinks with an Asian twist and they did it well! All the drinks are unique! Highly recommend if you are an adventurous cocktail lover. The mixologists makes awesome recommendation: just tell them what you prefer.

Super cool bar! Very exotic and creative drinks. Not only was the presentation outstanding but the flavor of the drinks was great. Definitely a place to visit and try at least one drink.

After landing in Hong Kong, my goal wasn't to sight see, eat food or visit locals but was to get Krunk with some alcohol! Although this place isn't really a place to get krunk, my friend who's a local brought me here. She mentioned that Quinary was ranked as one of the top best bars in the world. I honestly didn't believe her as it didn't look like anything special. However, I sat down and looked at the menu and they have quite a unique menu. I decided to order: 1. Lavender Meringue Pie: HOLY CRAP. BEST DRINK I'VE EVER HAD. Yes, it's a girls drink. NO, I'm not ashamed. I'm manly enough to admit a good drink when I've had one. The meringue on top is absolutely delicious and it goes so well with the tart gin on the bottom. The mixture is perfect. However the drink is a hefty 141 HKD ($18) USD. A bit pricey but honestly I think it's worth it. 2. Earl Grey Cavier Martini: This drink was quite good. It wasn't as good as the Meringue pie drink. The large foam on the top looks amazing for IG pictures but it has no taste and is nothing but a choking hazard. Also the "Cavier" boba like stuff on the bottom was alright. The drink has a great Earl Grey flavor but I feel I could just buy a boba for 1/4 the price. This was definitely the most popular drink order of the night though as the bar was lined with multiple orders. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, I can definitely appreciate why this bar is ranked so highly. I love the ambiance as well as the customer base. This is definitely a high end bar. Only bad experience I had here was that we sat at the bar and the bartender accidentally splashed lemon juice into my dates eye while mixing his drink. Total accident but he probably should have apologized or at least given her a drink or something. He just gave her a napkin and continued with his drink. Other than that bad experience, the other bar tenders were excellent and were very attentive. Would definitely give this place a try if you're in the area!

Came here with friends of ours because they said this was their favorite bar in HK. If you are a fan of crafty cocktails then make sure to stop by! we all had two drinks each and they were all amazing. I honestly do not recall the names of them but some had foam, herbs, and other accouterment that make them delicious. One was very decadent and tasted like a merengue pie! We also had their truffle fries and hot wings. Both were awesome and a great snack while you are in between drinks. It fills up quickly so get here early and stay a while. The drinks do not come cheap and they shouldn't! These are mixologists are the top of their game, we will be back for sure.

Quinary has been a leader in what has become a rapid transformation of the cocktail culture of the region. Going to Quinary is more than simply about getting a drink. With owner/master mixologist Antonio Lai creating the incredible cocktails at Quinary, you can expect the unexpected. Flavor and aroma combinations together with different textures will challenge every notion you have about alcoholic beverages providing a wonderful experience for all the senses.

Oh my god Quinary! You have forever ruined cocktails for me.....damn you. I have never been a big fan of cocktails UNTIL my trip to Hong Kong. One of my best friends is a super "bar whore" so she suggested we should all go since we were meeting up in Hong Kong anyways. Quinary is located in the Felicity Building (Felicity was such a great show...Felicity + Ben forever. haha.) on Hollywood Road. It's right in the popular area of Lan Kwai Fong so it's good idea to make a whole day of it if you have the time. I have no idea about parking. It seemed pretty nonexistent because of the small narrow streets in the area, but we just took a taxi and it dropped us off in the area. Seriously I used to be a "wine only" girl (Ok, mostly Rosé and Champagne) but after my experience here, I feel like I have been converted. (Damn you Tina.) Their cozy and dimly-lit interior lends to a modern and hipster/trendy feel. It compares to the speakeasy feel of the other world famous bars i.e. Angel's Share in Manhattan or Speak Low in Shanghai. Quinary is on the list of World's 50 Best Bars so it's not a shock that we fell in love with it. The nights we were at Quinary, they had two guest bartenders from Seoul, Korea making their signature cocktails. (Bartenders often do this now.) They seated us right in front of them so of course we had to try their famous drinks. Each cocktail they made us took time and skill. They even brought their own tools and ingredients from Seoul. After our second cocktail of the night, they then made us a special drink on the house which they usually make at home for themselves. It had honey, ginseng, milk, and Soju. It was DELISH. My best friend actually thought that was the best one of the night. After that, we each had another two of Quinary's signature cocktails. (Yes, things got a bit blurry after that. I believe that somehow...we crawled back to our hotel.) After my trip, I have become such a fan of Artisanal Cocktails and will definitely be returning again the next time I'm in Hong Kong. The two bartenders from Seoul also have their own bars in Seoul, one of which is fast climbing up the ladder of World's 50 Best Bars. I will have to go visit that for sure also! (Le Chamber)

My hong kong friends took us here during our visit, and I can totally understand why this is ranked one of the top 50 bars of Asia. I highly recommend coming here while you're in Hong Kong. The drinks are phenomenal!! I love fruity drinks and there's so much to choose from. This is not your average bar in the US where you usually get the standard rum & coke or cranberry vodka. These drinks are super unique! If you want some marshmallow shots or tea infused alcoholic drinks, this is the place to be. Asides from the awesome drinks, the food is amazing! We got some burger sliders, and they are totally gourmet. The beef patty was so juicy and tender!! I was totally sober when I had them, so this review is pretty accurate. We also got fries, but fries are fries. As long as they're skinny fries, I'm already in love with them. The bar tenders here are all very well groomed and handsome!! Very classy & hipster at the same time. Thank goodness I don't live here or else this would be where I blow all my money. There's a price to all the fancy drinks you get.

One of my favorite bars in the world. It's popular with Expats and Tourists but that does not at all minimize the charm and it's hardly ever too crowded to be enjoyed. Try a cocktail made with their homemade pandan syrup, but as far as the menu goes, you can't go wrong. Sit at the bar if you can. It's really fun to see them make the drinks. Don't come hungry because the food items aren't very big or diverse but some of the cocktails feel like a meal in their own :)

If you want to be mesmerized by the bar tenders and their amazing concoctions then you absolutely have to try this place out! Firstly, the bar tenders are very polished and playful. Secondly, the setting is an upscale bar or lounge and its noise level perfect for a cosy chat but not quiet either - you know, that perfect balance. I would say most of their signature cocktails are probably packed with some secret yummy ingredients so there isn't a specific one that stands out from the crowd. If you're a girl and want some sweet, they have a Earl Grey Martini that tastes amazing and a Marshmallow duo that's adorable but not very drink like. I watched them make several drinks with flavored smoke. With that said, all the drinks are nicely presented so totally get your phone ready to Instagram.

I was staying at Bonham 99 In Sheung Wan and had an Italian dinner before at 208 Duecento Otto on Hollywood Road. After dinner stopped by Quinary for their signature cocktail, the Earl Grey Caviar Martini. A spoon was provided with the drink. It was a taste/sip decadence of this side of the island. They also serve tapa and small plates. Vibe was hip, expat... similar to Blackbird in San Francisco.

Quinary is one of the best bars that I have gone to. I've been to a good amount of bars that specialize in crafted cocktails: from New York to Seattle to Las Vegas and yet Quinary just sticks out as one of the best. Why is it not THE best? Well, I don't live in Hong Kong! It's not remotely near me at all! Granted, that may be a good thing because I might just be at Quinary all the time if it was near me and that could be a little troublesome. I originally found Quinary on a website that recommended it .. and with their interesting concoctions, I just had to drag my boyfriend and best friend to go! The place was very clean and classy looking. When we got in, we decided to sit right at the bar -- it gives the greatest views. We were able to watch them work their magic and make their yummy looking drinks. For a small spot, they had a decent amount of drinks on their menu. Not only do they have drinks, they also have some small plates/tapas available for you to order if you wanted some food. Since we went right after dinner, we decided to skip on the small plates. We got to try several drinks that night: Marshmallow Duo Oolong Tea Collins Pisco Lime Sour Checkers Snowy Soda Two Leaves Yuan Yang Every drink is like a masterpiece. All the flavors blended in together very well. Nothing was abnormally strong to my taste buds, which is really hard to come by when a majority of the bases that they use are gin or whiskeys. They have a real passion for the art and it's refreshing to be able to see that in their work and creations. It is also very refreshing to see cocktails that uses tea. It's very rare for me to see those in cocktails and I never really knew why. It's not a very common thing in the States. All the drinks that I have tried that incorporated tea in it, such as the Oolong Tea Collins and Two Leaves, were all very delicious. They have drinks where they use smoke, they have drinks where they carbonate the drink themselves, and they have drinks where they used salty foam. Yes, if you lick the foam, it's salty! It has a taste to it! On top of that, they will garnish some drinks with dehydrated fruit ... and they dehydrated the fruit themselves. Just wow. The drinks are not cheap but with their caliber of expertise and creative minds, why would you ever think that they will be "cheap" ... the prices of these cocktails, in my opinion, are justified. It is on par with any other crafted cocktail you will get in the USA -- price wise. We also were able to chat with the owner of the establishment. He has travelled to various places learning his arts and craft and he is a wonderful person to chat with. We even suggest that he move out to Las Vegas and start up a place! It will definitely be popular! Whether you live in Hong Kong or if you're visiting Hong Kong, Quinary is definitely the place to visit. Their flavors, twists, creations, and beautiful artwork is beyond worth your time. I have nothing but praises for this establishment.

My coworker, who is a Hong Kong native, suggested I come visit this place since it's one of the top 50 bars in the WORLD. I knew I had to give this establishment a try and it was such a wonderful & unique experience. Once you walk in, you'll notice how quaint and secluded this place is, similar to a speakeasy. The bar is fully decorated with shelves full of unique alcohol and fancy gadgets. It's also entertaining watching the bartenders work their magic to create these one of a kind drinks, and occasionally you'll see someone using a blowtorch too! I ordered the famous Earl Grey Drink and it was amazing! I've never had earl grey in my mixed drink before but found it delicious and loved the earl grey liquor bits found in the bottom. Definitely worth ordering since it's their most famous drink! I would recommend anyone to come here and try out one of Quinary's gourmet drinks. It is a bit pricey but still worth experiencing!

This place is the ish... Absolutely amazing, even amidst the busy, hustle bustle of a Friday night. And it's effin' busy... Top notch service at the bar even though they were filled to capacity. The door dude? He was snooty, which I did not like. Child please, I don't have time for your snitty BS boo-boo... The decor reminds me of a mix between 'the flatiron room' and the original 'raines' back home. The staff is busy, yet absolutely & appropriately attentive (That's an odd phrase, but is so fitting for the situation at hand). I had an amazing drink, the 'Old Ironsides' was epic. It contained: Rum Brandy Pineapple juice Caramel Chocolate-vanilla sugar Winning all way. The balance of sweet and classic was perfect. Would SO come back.

In town on business and was looking for tapas. This showed up in Yelp as a tapas place. Not sure I'd classify it as such, as it's far more focused on the cocktails. Which. Were. Amazing. I watched the Tom-Cruise-like bartenders mix a wide variety of the ridiculously long cocktail menu. They did so, pretty much nonstop, from memory and terrific flare. The show was definitely worth the price of admission... And the food we ordered (calamari, mac and cheese, and the black something scallops) was delicious, as well. Worth the effort to find.

The Quinary is considered one of the finest cocktail lounges in Hong Kong. Located in "Central," Hong Kong's banking, moneyed, and expat neighborhood, trendy and cool is on tap at almost every bar and restaurant in Central. The Quinary takes mixology seriously, and the bartenders are more professional than a hired mercenary fighting in Somalia. They are not there to provide conversation or any social interaction. These bartenders are in the service of mixing cocktails as show and entertainment. Do not bother them when they are in drill mode. I don't like bars like Quinary. I like to have fun and laugh in a cocktail lounge. Taking boozing this seriously misses the point. However, if you enlisted in the mixology squadron, Quinary will "fit the bill." It's small, designed well, expensive, and you won't be the best looking person in the place. Trust me.

Amazing place. Great atmosphere and drinks. We sat at the bar and watched the craftsman make drink after drink. It was certainly worth sitting there. Rum barrel drink and 6 months Manhattan were very good!

The Quinary is another great bar on Hollywood road right in the heart of Soho. This place has become very popular among locals and tourists alike. The interior is quite stylish with a long bar, high tables and stools. Service here is excellent, attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. The bar tenders are super helpful and they are happy to assist you with finding the right drink. Sitting at the bar it's just fun to watch them mix drinks! They have a huge list of cocktails containing not only your classic ones. It takes time to read the menu for sure! Apart from cocktails they have a huge selection of different whisky's covering different parts of the world. Just look at the stacked bottles behind the bar, it's a great view! The Quinary may be expensive but worth every penny.

Quick Review: Go. Drink. And be amazed. Don't even second guess going. Heck, go out of your way for it. I promise you won't be disappointed. Full Review: I loved this bar, I've been to a lot of bars, ones with views, ones with cool drinks, ones with awesome interiors and themes but this one just takes the cake. It's a pretty standard sized but smaller bar and they pack a lot into it. I'm going to start off with the drinks and I gotta say, they were hands down the most exquisite drinks I've had. Nothing standard, all hand crafted and original recipes made by the bartenders themselves. They even have the name of the bartender who made the drink next to each on on the menu! Now if you want your standard bar drinks, they'll make it, but you're wasting your time. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the drinks I had but ask your bartender for some recommendations and you really can't go wrong. They have really interesting ways of making their drinks so even while you're waiting, you have a show to watch with all the contraptions they use and it's all done with such grace, class and passion. This is a cool place to go with friends and has a darker and almost speakeasy vibe to it but with a trendy twist making it a modern day speakeasy. Which makes sense because it pops up on a standard road in the middle of Central HK with not much flare to it. The drinks here are very well priced for what you get (about $10-15 USD). All I have to say is if I had a few bars to choose to ever go to again, this would be on that list. Check it out and enjoy!

I often read articles from different sources listing the best bars in the world and bookmark them in case I'm ever in the neighborhood. Imagine my surprise when Quinary showed up on my list when I was in Hong Kong. I don't often have the occasion to visit HK but I'm glad I bookmarked this one. Some coworkers and I came in around 8pm on a Friday night. We had some time to kill before our dinner reservation and really wanted to check this place out. I was concerned that we wouldn't be able to walk in but, luckily, there was a great space for us in the lounge. My coworkers aren't big cocktailers, mostly because they don't like pretentious cocktail bars. I was happy to see upon arrival that Quinary is laid back, warm, and inviting. Not a hint of pretentiousness. Perfect! There was something for everyone on the cocktail list. A gummy bear cocktail for the sweet drink lover, barrel aged manhattan for the manhattan lover, and even a beer for the guy who doesn't like liquor. I really wish I could remember the names of all of the drinks we tried because they were all awesome. I'm really glad that everyone tried different ones, too, so we could sample a bunch. I also have to mention the presentation. They do a great job with the presentation of the drinks. They are so much fun. The best at our table was a drink that was served in a paper bag with smoke coming out of it. I'm really sad that we had a dinner reservation, I could have stayed the entire night. I'm keeping Quinary on the bookmark list. Next time I'm in town, we're making a night of it!

Best bar in HK hands down. Ask for the Lofa special. His negroni is a unique drink you won't find on the menu. Also, great spot if you're looking for some delicious mocktails. They are one of the best 50 bars for a reason. Marvin is a great assistant manager, and will make sure to get you a spot at the bar to watch where all the action is at. Hei is also a master behind the bar. Yueng is also great! Don't forget to thank Samuel Ing for all the help keeping the bar going in the background. My favorite bar here hands down!

BLESS UP. Antonio Lai, you're an inspiration. I definitely have to agree with a past reviewer that Quinary has ruined all bars for me. Unfortunately for me, I don't live in Hong Kong, so I don't get to go to this magnificent bar every week (wish it was every day). I can't speak to the food, but their drink menu is extensive and wonderful. We had the Marshmallow duo, Oolong Tea Collins, Crystal 10, Whose Goose and Earl Grey Caviar Martini. Every single drink we had, we were quite happy with. I have never been to a bar where their handmade cocktails were ALL good. I've definitely had some hit or miss experiences before. I was a bit bummed we weren't able to go to Lai's other bars before our return to the states, but I'm glad I know of him and will get to enjoy his bars during my next visit! Please go here! You won't regret it. (They also have one of those bubble turn things where you put money in and get a prize. You can win a pin of the earl grey caviar martini and many other things! It was such a nostalgic touch.)

Hours incorrect on yelp. Closes 1am. SUPER nice staff. They let us in 10 minute before close for a quick drink. Awesome menu for the cocktail lover like my self. I naturally ordered something with gin, lavender, limacello. We ended up stopping in three times on our trip. Best craft cocktails I found on our vacation. PERFECT and no surprise how well they are rated.

I'm not big into cocktails, but I can definitely find the joy in tasting some nicely crafted, creatives one, which is exactly what you find here at the Quinary. My local friend brought us here after dinner and it was a really nicely lit and comfortable space. The staff here really knew what they were doing and the prices were alright, definitely good bang for your buck in terms of Hong Kong. I honestly expected the drinks to be more like $140 HKD, but they were $110-$130 HKD, pretty in line with New York City. I had the Marshmallow Duo and the Earl Grey Caviar Martini. This is really where the creativity shined bright because the Marshmallow Duo may have been the cutest little cocktails. It came in these two tiny plastic Coke bottle replicas with straws and two grilled marshmallows. I was so tempted to steal the other one away from my sister, but that just proves I'm a great sibling that I didn't. The martini was freakin' great as well with the (alcoholic??) foam on top and the fruit bubble things adding a different dimension to a regular old martini. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in HK!

These bartenders are incredible. I'm not nuts about the crowd , but that's not the fault of Quinary. Loved the decor , and I was able to get one of the small tables outside so I could sit and smoke and enjoy my cocktail. This is one of the best cocktail bars in Hong Kong.

Killer drinks, great staff, pricey! Don't come here expecting 5 dollar beer (don't even bother coming here for beer, they only have Peroni). Drinks range from 110-150HKD which is like 15-20 dollars US but every drink in the signature section is stunningly unique and requires the full attention of a bartender for up to a few minutes. We got to talk to Antonio, one of the brains of the place, about how he learned and how his bartenders have passion for making cocktails that aren't just a mojito or cranberry vodka. Caviar foam, black sesame liquor, and marshmallows are only a small number of the unique ingredients they use here. On top of that, their mixologists go about their drink making with unmatched precision and flair, using special machinery and tricks. Might as well have been magic! Quinary was an unforgettable experience for us, and, if you enjoy crafted cocktails, a recommendation for anyone trying to find a place in Hong Kong, as it can be tougher to find a great place to drink here (unless you're in this area, Central). Don't shy away from the weirder sounding drinks, we tried 8 drinks and all of them were incredibly tasty.

A solid cocktail bar worthy of being part of Drink International's list of 50 Best Cocktail Bars in the world. What I love about Quinary is its unpretentiousness. Our group of four was able to walk in on a weeknight with no reservation, and they were cool with us. On my last visit I had the gummy bear cocktail, which I classify under "dangerous" because it tastes like a liquid gummy bear without the alcohol! Like any high-end cocktail bar, they've got pages of cocktails for dayssss. If you don't see anything you like, I wouldn't be surprised if they do bespoke as well.

One of the best craft cocktail bars in Hong Kong! If there's a better one out there, please let me know! I'm more than happy to go check it out. The atmosphere at Quinary reminds me of the good Northwest with the 'man-bun', suspenders, and the vest on their bartenders. Their decor is fantastic as well, leather and dark lighting. The menu list is long, but my absolute favorite item is their Lavender lemon meringue pie. It's a cocktail dessert heaven...the creaminess is an absolute delight. A lot of folks favorite cocktail here is the visually stunning Earl Grey Caviar Martini. It's a great beginner drink if you want to go with something 'easy' to drink, but I wouldn't recommend it to folks that like their drinks a bit more stiff. Light bites are also available if you're hungry. Their drinks are hit and miss for me, so I definitely need to explore more items on the menu. They give you a time limit for your party when you get seated, but I have yet to be rushed out during my visits. Overall, I am a fan and a must stop for a night cap if you're ever in Hong Kong. P.S. I was reluctant to come here because of the price and I'm not a drinker. BUT... Wow.... Omg.... This place surprised me. Splurge a little bit and experience this chill place. We tried the passion fruit one which I liked a lot, oolong one has bubbles ooOooOoo and I don't remember the third one but it was very chocolatetly sweet. The bartenders were all very "hipster". Deco and restroom, 2 thumbs up.

Quinary is probably one of my favorite bars in Hong Kong. I love the cocktails here. If Antonio and/or Samuel is in the house, make sure you get the seats as close to them as possible. Watching them work is worth the trip to me already. Love the cocktails here! The earl grey caviar is popular but I love the Quinary sour and old fashion even more. You will definitely want more than a few rounds here. Can't take the alcohol? Try the oolong tea collins. It's delicious! The chips are absolutely addicting and they are so generous with the refills!!! If you have never been, I highly recommend this place. Make sure you go early or you will be waiting for seats! It's also super crowded on weekends!

Been here a few times as it's always a nice start to the night. Cocktails are nice and strong (like they should be), service is great, the chip snacks is addictive and unlimited and there's usually a good crowd. Prices are pretty standard amongst the cocktail bars along Wyndam and SOHO area starting from $120 + service. I know everyone loves the earl grey martini but too much foam for me, case in point in the pic.

Delicious and innovative cocktails in a swanky but approachable setting. In short: amazing.

Quinary was our first stop after we checked into our hotel in Hong Kong. It might look like a bit of a hike from the waterfront, but if you walk along the elevated walkways, you can find yourself at Quinary in roughly 10 minutes' time or so. There are only walk-ins, but even though it seemed like there was a lengthy wait outside when we got here shortly after 10 PM on a Friday night, we didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes before getting ourselves seated. Make sure to check in with the gentleman (at least when we were here) at the front; he'll give you a receipt that identifies the number you are waiting for - but make sure it's the correct number of people in your party; otherwise, you're likely to wait for a new number, or your late-arriving friends will have to get their own and be seated wherever is free upon arrival. For us, we ended up right at the bar; there are some low tables at the front, and high-top tables lining the left wall behind the bar. Perhaps the best thing about the bar was that the bartenders took our order directly and made our drinks right away - a small thing, perhaps, but given that I've been to plenty a bar where it's clear your drink is somewhere down the list in terms of getting prepared, the punctuality is quite impressive. Our food order also came out shortly after order as well, so on the service front, there is nothing to complain about. As for everything else - I can see why this is listed as one of the world's best bars. The slightly grungy ambiance, combined with the thumping pop music constantly going on in the background (but not too loudly) gives Quinary a very chill, trendy vibe without being pretentious at all. The drinks here are excellent - whether my wife's spirit-free drinks (one was a light oolong tea mocktail with a bit of fizz in it, while the other was a little more fruit-forward) or my cocktails (I did the house whiskey sour, which was good on its own but had a nice salty dash of bonito flakes, along with the 'Brothers in Arms', which is a slightly sweeter and tartier drink on the rocks), both were prepared quickly and to excellent taste. The cocktail selection is also quite broad, with several pages of signature and seasonal options to select from, and the presentation, from the glass to the ice cubes to the embellishments (such as the famous Earl Gray caviar martini) are gorgeous. The food is also very on-point; there are only bar bites, but we really enjoyed both items we got. The calamari was much more lightly-fried than one would typically encounter in the U.S., meaning there was much more of the flavor of the seafood with each bite, along with a nice chew that wasn't either too crunchy or too soggy. As for the chicken wings...they aren't lying when they say it's hot, and when you see them, you'll understand - there are 8 wings buried under an avalanche of Sichuan peppers, infusing them with just enough of that burning spice to activate your sweat glands (and your taste buds) without you ending up in a pool of your own saltiness or with a numb tongue. Overall, this was a perfect way to kick off our time in town. I hope I can make it back before we leave, but if not, Quinary should be on top of anyone's list to pay a visit to have a drink or three when in Hong Kong.

Oh my goodness, I cannot rave about this place enough! Definitely one of my favorites! Actually, forget I said that. It's definitely my favorite! A friend and I ended up going in on a Tuesday night. I had a long flight so by the time we got there it was pretty late. I was surprised by the number of people there. Not quite packed, but enough for it to be lively. The drinks were phenomenal! I ended up having their famous Earl Grey Caviar Martini and was basically in heaven! Had to to back a couple more times during my stay in Hong Kong! The prices were great for the amount of work that goes into their drinks! The location was intimate! Everything about this place was awesome! It's no wonder Quinary is on the list of the world's Top 50 Bars! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Hong Kong! But if Quinary ever wants to open a location in Portland, I could definitely arrange that ;)

The best bar in the world. Came in with high expectations and they were met. I could go on an wax poetically about the place, but it is not necessary. Expensive? Yes, but come here and drink everything that interests you. The drinks are amazing Underrated: Their free Jack and Jill bar chips. Overrated: Their bar food that they make (wasn't very good). This includes truffle fries, mac and cheese, and pork in a jar.

Quinary. I first noticed this place on my way back home from LKF via Hollywood Road. The sign outside immediately caught my attention by its chic and uniqueness. I peeped in and it looked like my kinda bar, so I told myself, "I have to come and try this place out!" And with that, I did. The first two times I came here were just okay. First 2 times were on busy Friday nights, where the was ridiculouslyyy packed. My girlfriend and I got their infamous Earl Grey Caviar Martini drink (how awesome is the foam on that???) and shared an order of their truffle fries. I got the Earl Grey without the caviar cause I was told by the waiter it has some sort of real caviar in it, so I thought the drink was just okay. Well of course, caviar is like half the drink because it contains some earl grey in it! Stupid me, it was confirmed by one of the bartenders when I went yesterday that it does not have real caviar so it is actually vegetarian x.x The waiter probably had no idea what I was saying when I asked and thus said it is real caviar, lol. The fries were just okay, not bad but also not amazing. You can certainly taste the truffle in it, but I'm just a thin fries kinda gal! I would get it again in the future if friends wanna share, etc. The Amber Appointment is on the Bartender's Choice list, one of Dave Lam's two creations on the list. I was debating between which to order but after reading the description that The Amber Appointment is strong and balanced, whereas the other one was a good relaxing drink to start off the night, I decided to go for the stronger stuff to end my night. The Amber Appointment was super good. It seriously hit the spot. Although I've had my far share of good cocktails, The Amber Appointment is the first cocktail to ever hit the spot for me. It was just what I needed. There were so many times where I just closed my eyes as I drank the cocktail to let the drink sit in and do its thang. To think about it, I think this is now my new favorite drink. ::nods:: I wasn't really a fan nor too crazy about Quinary. I went back there on a weekday half a year since I've been there and I wanted to give it another try on much calmer "non weekend" night. I'm glad I did because it seriously a totally different experience. I liked it a lot. When I went the last two times, they were so busy that all I wanted to do was to get out of there. I can definitely see myself coming back here more often on a weekday to have a cocktail. I never used to sit at the bar, but after sitting at the bar at Angel's Share and really liking it, I decided we would sit at the bar at Quinary as opposed to at an open table. After sitting at the bar, I noticed there are at least 2 other drinks I wanna try, Espresso Martini and A Touch of Rose, next time when I'm back at Quinary. Until next time, I'll see be fantasizing their Amber Appointment till I have it again. Verdict from this visit is that, I'm turning into such a whisky gal.

One of the best British mixdology with proper canapé in town. The duo owners are from here with long time experience and background of cocktail and LKF dinning. I have to do some cocktail tasting thanks to my previous job. Quinary was on my top 3. How they play whisky can almost tell the knowledge of its achohol. Their whisky ice cube is perfect. Pricy drinks well paid for the long standing pureness and syrup free mix. More than decent snack for light bite. Pork belly in a jar, truffle fries, iberico...yes, they want to be labeled as posh...
