Ouchie. Opened in 1899 and named in honour of Queen Victoria on her Diamond Jubilee, the botanic gardens replaced the city’s former brickworks. It’s hard to believe that the beautiful be-ducked lakes were once clay pits. The garden’s iconic 1929 Peter Pan bronze is a cast from the Kensington Gardens original by George Frampton. Had a healing walk in here of an afternoon. Didn't worry about parking space because it's enough(but not free). Equipped with restroom. Lotus leaf pool was an amazing main point for me.

Queens Garden is a hidden gem in the heart of the city, perfect for some quiet healing or a walk/run. It’s serene and peaceful. For kids, there are plenty of ducks to watch and enjoy!

Beautiful day and lovely park. It is fully fenced, gated, well maintained, spacious and cute. Plenty of parking close by, various plants, trees, shade, lawn areas and seating. It has nice little pond and bridge too. My husband and I took our Maine Coon on his first park trip, he was a bit shy at first but he seemed to enjoy it (minus the slight noise from cars).

Queens Park is one of those hidden gems. A place to sit and just enjoy the surrounds. Gardens arent as good as five years ago. The plant thinning exercise went too far IMO. Still picturesque though. These shots taken just after sun rise.

The park is clean, with well-kept lawns and a variety of trees providing ample shade. The historical monuments scattered throughout the park are interesting and add a bit of cultural value to the visit. It's a great place for a quiet walk or a picnic. There are benches available if you just want to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The nearby cafes make it convenient to grab a coffee and relax in the garden. Not a must-see attraction but definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Well manicured and maintained oasis. As soon as you walk through the gates, the noise and bustle of the city falls away. Lots of ducks, coots and swans, so make sure you keep the gates closed. Great for a walk, picnic, or quick lunch break on one of the benches. One thing however - the grassed area becomes marshy after the rain, so stick to the walkways or wear appropriate shoes. Toilets are clean and well maintained.

nice clean quiet park near hotel that i stayed. the duck, swan and other birds really did not fear us human. they just linger around you unbothered hahaha

A tranquil park over 120 years old. Great for picnics and wedding photos. Doesn’t have kid’s swings but a lot to explore in a small space. Best to visit on Sunday when parking is free. Remember to keep the gates shut

One word: Oasis. Not the band that stole my heart as a 14 year old, but the urban oasis. This place is truly beautiful and as majestic as its name sake. I worked across the road from the gardens for a while and would always walk through the park on my way to and from work. I was lucky enough to see a very tiny baby swan (fyi: they`re grey when they`re babies), and got to watch it grow each day over the period of a few months. The gardens are kept in a immaculate condition. Once there was a group of backpackers (ex-oasis fans too I`m sure) and they were playing soccer, drinking, smoking, playing loud music, shouting etc. Now don`t get me wrong I'm no party pooper but this was behavior move suitable to Hyde Park (that`s where I go to drink and be noisy). I almost went over and told them to not to break the stunning image of this manicured park with blaring radios, cigarette smoke and cans of Stella, of course I didn't. But that just shows you how beautiful and perfect the Queen's Gardens are.

One of the best parks in the CBD and probably Perth. I love walking here from the car park on my way to the office. I even considered getting married here so that is a big ups for the place! If you are in East Perth and want a tranquil place to eat your lunch visit Queens Gardens.

Do you remember that scene in Notting Hill where Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts jump the fence to that park, and they find that bench isolated in the gardens, with the words engraved: "To June who Loved this garden... from Joseph, who always sat beside her" Well, here's some movie trivia for you, this very bench calls Queen's Gardens in East Perth it's home. It was bought by a local resident who donated it anonymously to the city of Perth. On the back are newer names; "Rodd and Nicole 2002". I am unsure who these names refer to but I'm going to venture a guess they have some special relation to the donator. Romance, mystery and a splice of Hollywood right in little 'ol Perth.

Queen's Gardens is a picturesque corner of East Perth, just a short distance away from the CBD. In contrast to the bustle of the CBD, Queen's Garden is serene; a peaceful oasis in the midst of a concrete jungle. Dominating the Gardens is a lake, which is home to ducks and native waterbirds. There are a variety of trees around the outer, as well as lush, well-kept lawn. The weeping willows lend the Gardens a certain grace. While the park is not large, when inside, it feels like you are a world away from the busy streets banking against it. Queen's Gardens is a great place for a picnic, or those near the CBD who are looking for a gentle area to lie in the sun while reading a book. It is a beautiful park and one of the lesser-known spots in Perth.

I used to walk through Queens Park to work each morning. It would have been a lot quicker if I didn't, but it made me feel so invigorated it was worth the 8-minute detour. Amidst the washed out concrete buildings of lower East Perth, this park stands out like a diamond. There's a beautiful lake with fountains, families of ducks and various other birds, manicured gardens with 30-plus natives - all locked behind a black wrought iron gate. It's terrain fit for royalty. Perfect for picnics, walks and weddings alike.

Great for bringing a date in the day time! Great for running as the path is well maintained, great scenery, you might even get to seem some local birds if you are lucky! It's a quiet hiding place despite being so near to the CBD!
