Pizzeria Salvo - Napoli

Michelin pizza for 12€. Great quality wood fired pizza with very different ingredients. I gad a white pizza with tuna, celery and onion. My partner had a marinara with raw Anchovies. Wine selection is great, too. Tiramisu perfect finish. Service very friendly and efficient.

Excellent pizza as you would expect. They give a lot of love to the tomatoes, cheese and olive oil all three of which are very good and very specific on the different pizzas. The waiters give the impression of being bored and while service was quick it was also a bit sloppy and inattentive. The dining room is big and a little touristy. There will be a 5% service charge on your bill.

We were easily able to reserve through their website. There was a lot of space. No long lines. A must for appetizers are the Frittatina cacio e pepe & the Tris di Montanare. Heaven I tell you! The fried dough is so light and not oily at all with the best tomatoes we’ve ever tasted too. The closest I’ll get to Pepe Guido is & the through the NONNA ROSA pizza that they collaborated on. It’s so good. Also the margherita pizza CARAMELLA was one of the best I’ve had. My husband had the DIAVOLA but I personally found it to be to meaty. The tiramisu baba is out of this world. A hit with the kids for sure. The service was very attentive and gave good recos. And the best thing is the price. The value, service, ambiance, quality of food that we get for the price is amazing. The dough is so good. Would recommend again and again. Maybe a little note for improvement is that the toppings can be a bit wet so the pizza falls apart. This is they you can’t eat these pizza by hand.

Super diavola with nice choice of spicy and savoury meats. Crust nice and chewy, not too doughy. Very fast service and decent wine to accompany the meal. Margarita excellent too. Note: Only pizza and fried pizza available. Very nice overall.

Scam allert - check your bill and compare to what you accually pay. Unfortunatelly we have been scammed (for an average pizza, but that is another story) - our bill came to 41,90€ for two pizzas and some drinks. I added a tip and said 44€, was thanked and without my knowledge charged 50€. I then had to check my account to notice. They first played it off with a classic “I do not speak english, wait for my collegue” and I guess did not expect that we will indeed be waiting. They brought the second receipt for 47€ in which they added something ´by mistake’ and have me back 5€. So I was still robbed by 1€ but not enough to continue the discussion. This left a very sour taste. They should be ashamed as they have been listed in a Michelin guide (hopefully not for long)

We were accommodated indoors after a short time. The staff service was exceptionally responsive - orders taken quickly and starters and drinks brought promptly. The crocche and deep fried pizza were satisfying! The pizza’s were by far the best I have had in Napoli. The size, consistency and base flavours was a dream combination. I enjoyed so much a return visit was booked for two days later! The setting is beyond what you would expect for a pizzeria.

Don’t go! Check your bill and check what you get charged. Waiter tries to scam you by showing you a bill that is accurate but puts a different amount on the terminal. We noticed this as we get a notification for each payment, waiter plays it off as “mistake”. On the bill you can see they added a random entry. Got our money back. Don’t understand why they have to resort to scamming, they have a good amount of people coming in. Michelin should remove them from their site.

Very very good pizza. Flavorful and fresh! But the pizza sauce was very watery and the dough, except the outer crust, was sloppy and soggy. Still pleased
