It was one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to. The atmosphere is very relaxing and romantic, and the food is gorgeous. The only tiny downsides are the long waiting time, small portions (as in fine cuisine restaurants), and prices slightly above average. But once again, Pianostrada is definitely a place worth trying! Highly recommend!

Amazing restaurant, all the dishes were delicious and the service was excellent. We sat at the bar and it was really worth it, we could see the whole kitchen and the cooks explained to us about everything they prepared and were really nice. I recommend trying to call to reserve a table in advance.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and wonderful service. Our family stopped by for lunch and were completely wowed by the food. Great care and thought in every dish. Lovely flavors and textures. I can’t wait to return. We started with the patanegra and croissants with a wonderful tomato mixture. For pasta we tried the spaghetti with ricotta and basil, the tortelli with sage and pumpkin, and a wonderful salad with fennel, zucchini flowers and sunflower seeds. We also had a front seat to the kitchen which was very cool to see the staff making all the dishes, rolling out pasta, etc. The desserts were wonderful too— we tried a pear biscuit mousse dessert, tiramisu, ice cream and a chocolate cheesecake.

We just finished dinner here and it was hands down the best meal we had in Rome. The food is not traditional but we knew that - it’s a fusion/experimental restaurant and they nailed it. After being victim to a number of “traditional” yet sub par restaurants in Rome we were skeptical given the prices but the food was amazing. We highly recommend the prawn pasta dish - we were convinced it was a rice/risotto but it was a semolina pasta shaped into rice and cooked as such! Brilliant - the prawn flavour was strong but delicious (if you like that flavour!). We also had the house made white focaccia and the bone marrow beef tartare and both were amazing. The bone marrow comes in-bone and was a great eating experience. The warm balsamic glaze was the best we have had. A lot of the reviews noted the prices being too high, but we have had similarly priced dinners across Italy and don’t think it’s overpriced at all. The ingredients were incredible (down to the olive oil that accompanied the welcome bread). My only regret was having such a large lunch that we couldn’t eat more menu items! The service (and ambience) was so lovely and a great way to end our trip to Rome. Highly recommend if you are in Trastravere! Overall we spent €78 (including cover fee and water) and would definitely go back if we are ever back in Rome.

Staying in Travestere for one week and came across this beautiful restaurant on a Friday night. Staff were so welcoming and extremely professional. The atmosphere and ambience was wonderful, service was amazing and the food was the best we had in 6 weeks travelling through France, Monaco and Italy. The Head Chef served our main meal, which was a special touch. Every dish was exceptional, the wine paired beautifully & I highly recommend a night at Pianostrada.

I have NEVER had such innovative and delicious Italian food. Each dish came with a tiny twist that made it unique and special. We got the mortadella focaccia - it was light and the orange shavings were a beautiful touch. Then we got the anchovies and the bread that came with them was warm from the oven and the butter was smooth as cream. Fantastic. The side salad was anything but ordinary with more flavors than I could even count. Don’t discount the side salad!! Get it!! The fist (it may have been a special) was standout with the sauce. We finished with the chocolate cake and luce dessert and they were divine. Pricing is on the higher end - but the uniqueness of the food was worth every penny. Very much in-line with NYC or LA pricing if you’re a tourist from America you won’t be shocked by the costs.

Great place we enjoy a lot. Probably one of the restaurants I like it more in Rome living here for 7 years. Food and taste was fantastic. Service and presentation was very nice. I was expecting better wine service but still all together top notch. Thanks guys !

I am unfamiliar with the restaurants in Trastevere, but I consider Pianostrada to be an absolute gem in this district of Rome. I visited it with two friends, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were enchanted by its excellent and stylish atmosphere. We started by sharing a selection of appetizers, and every bite was exquisite. The highlight? Their homemade focaccia is warm and fluffy, with a crisp crust paired perfectly with high-quality ingredients such as mortadella and Andria’s stracciatella. We paired our meal with a lovely Le Vette di San Leonardo bottle, further elevating the experience. The wine’s bright, elegant flavours perfectly matched the delicate tortelli—pillowy pasta filled with beef meat and Genovese sauce. I was confused by their taste, and I felt like I was eating Asian food. I finished the supper with a yummy chocolate cheesecake and an outstanding mango gel. Every dish felt like a minor masterpiece, bursting with freshness and creativity. While some may find the prices a bit high for the portion sizes, I felt it was completely worth it. Pianostrada offers a fine dining experience in a relaxed setting where quality and attention to detail are at the forefront. And even the tiny details, like impeccably maintained restrooms, add to the sense of care that goes into every aspect of the restaurant. If you’re in Rome, try this place—especially if you’re in good company.
